Thanks for all of the love guys, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Now I have a new "exercise" for y'all. Take your left hand and put it on you right
tricep and then take your right hand and put it on your left tricep.
Now squeeze and hold for at least 2 minutes..... I call it "Me-giving-you-all-a-big-hug". And repeat, often. HA HA!

Come on now, even the haters... you need hugs most of all.

Aren't you sweet! Even better than a cookie (and that is saying a lot!)! Hug yourself back, Bud!
(now THIS is some excercise I can get into!!!)

Yeah, I like Boobs too.

You can put someone on ignore???? Wow! That must explain why I feel like I'm talking to myself when I'm here.

JC, I don't think TrueReality or Shadow are crazy. I just think they're expressing what they believe. I try to see both sides and I think it is easy to see both sides. I respect TrueReality's passion for defending the gay and lesbian community. I also don't totally disagree with him regarding the issue of Jackie being a lesbian. It may not exist on this board but I am willing to bet that there are some people, more than a few that see this as a fight between a "good ol' boy and a (insert derogatory word for lesbian). As much as that sucks, we all know it exists. That's why I wish Brian would remove himself from this. Even if he doesn't consider himself a bigot, there are plenty of people who are and will use Brian's talk of 'hating that woman' etc and use it in a very negative way.

I just don't think this should be a constest about Brian being proven "right" and "winning" and I get the feeling that this is the only thing that will satisfy him. And I go back to the fact that it promotes a very negative attitude in those who are just looking for a reason to validate their bigotry. Again, not saying that's anyone here but it does exist.

Speaking of which, I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I don't think there are nearly enough Drag Queens on TV! Alot of transgender things going on in the area of talk shows and a nice representation of cross dressing via Eddie Izzard's tv son on the Riches but no quality Drag Queens.

I have often said that I am a 6'5" Drag Queen trapped in a small girl's body. With that being said, I am not well represented.

I once heard that self love was the most sincere form.
So in that case I do probably "love" myself a little too often......... but I am very sincere and I always get breakfast... (and sometimes even cab fare)...... I'm not so big on the pillow talk though. My room mate might think I'm crazy... talking to myself. HA!

Wow lighten up... I was once being attacked by both of them, so now I make light of it...
They now leave me alone...
I agree to disagree...

When I engaged them in there post! They just went on and on and on...
I refuse to allow them to attack one group or the other. be open minded and share in both sides. End of story...

We all have diff reasons for disliking the show. Personally I think this lesbian thing is just a distraction. Jackies behavior was disgusting, now if we removed Jackie and replaced her with say Jack a straight man it would still be disgusting. Actually if Jackie was Jack he would probably be out of business and sued for sexual harassment by now.

Jackie could of fired Peeler any time she wanted 2. Other trainers are no longer on the show and no reason was given. Peeler got a raw deal being let go at the time he did. No smart business owner would of did what Jackie did at that particular time. Facts are we are dealing with Jackie and she has been getting away with bad behaviour for some time. Actually she seems to have become rich off of it. So why would she even realize fireing Peeler at that exact moment was a bad idea.

Jakie acts like trash and for people to look at her like a role model or some figure who represents a certain group of people is sad. What does that say about that group or the people that support her?

Im over Work Out and thankfully the season is ending.

I have a statement to make about the South, and NC in specific. I am a lesbian. I am out. I have grade school children come to the farm as an educational experience. I live in a very small town in NC. In general I have had very little problems with me being gay. If you want to see quite a few gay people, go to Asheville. We have quite a few drug companies in NC, IBM, Linux, and not to mention great NC universities, which I do not need to name. I even have a degree from one of those UNC's. We are not backward. Granted you might run across an idiot anywhere, the South I know, the NC I know, believes in leaving people to live their lives. You pay your taxes, you help out with the fire department, watch after your neighbors, and help out the community, then you are gold. Now some people might have the idea that Southerners hate any minorities but not the South I know. Sorry just had to bring that up. It was bothering me.

I just found something, well a friend of mine did, but it was at my house.

We have all been wondering what day this happened. This picture dated Jan. 29, 2008. It is Peeler and Jamie, pre change this shirt Peeler.

Just go look please.

Please note the strange people in that mirror.

Have I earned a cookie???

This is just a thought, but on my flickr account it shows the date you upload the photo onto the site. Perhaps its the same kind of situation. She couldn't give away that she had been on the show before it aired. Maybe? Seems logical to me.

Oh, and hurrah! Peelerbuilt is adding husband beaters to their shirt inventory. Ay yi yi!

I've been to Asheville! I grew up going to Grandfather Mountain. I also love that little city up the road??? Blowing Rock? I think... Very pretty.

Chapel Hill is one of my favorites... okay, well not as much when Roy left Kansas... but I have moved on:)

I hope you don't think my ref to good ol' boys was geared toward a specific geo location? It's really more of a mental location...

Booglie,

If all my family did not live here I would pack a suitcase, jump in my car and drive to your lovely farm and just move in (on the pretext of helping you to bottlefeed your baby goat triplets). When the babies grew up, there would be new babies to feed, or new work to be done or if not, you just would not be able to get me to leave the premisis! You sound wonderful, your farm sounds wonderful, and your little piece of the south sounds wonderful too (and I am glad that they are treating you right!). Don't be surprised if some day soon some strange lady shows up on your doorstep with a suitcase in hand, a tray of freshly baked cookies in the other ...

Sorry, But I really am enjoying my freedom and until I meet that "someone special", I like being able to "play the field".
Now, why would someone with that attitude, want to get married?
I'm just pointing out that even if all of us can get married, it doesn't mean we should.
I would only marry someone after being sure "this is it", and I planned on committing myself to that one individual for the rest of our lives. This is an ideal I truly believe in. I don't take the institution of marriage lightly.

Oh wait California is a Community Property state??? So yes! I accept and everyone here is my witness. Half JC, think about it........ Half! I'll have my lawyer call your lawyer and we can work out the details. (wink)

I love that you open a working farm up to the kids. It has also been my experience that if you do the work and treat people well, they don't spend much time thinking about where, or with whom, you sleep at night.

I had to laugh at the "bulls pee from the middle" story and the question of whether only bulls have horns. My uncle had a small working farm in southern Ontario (Canada) ... dairy, eggs, feed crops ... and his dairy cows were fully horned. I could walk through the pasture witth the bull, but my uncle had to rescue me from the apple orchard with his backhoe when one of those cows chased me right up a tree. My life changed when I saw two cows happily engaged in other than procreative behavior!

I'm sorry, but that is a complete load of you-know-what. That is very paranoid of you to say that. I can say with complete honesty that my disgust with her behavior had nothing to do with her being gay, it had to do with her deceit and dishonesty and hypocrisy. It had to do with her behavior.

Again, get off your high horse and go argue the anti-gay angle in another discussion because that has no bearing here.

Yeah, they seem to keep beating the same old, tired drum.
But that's OK, that is their prerogative.
Because we have an entire orchestra here.
And when we get into the swing of it, We can really make some beautiful music.
It tends to drown out the endless thump, thump, thumping of the "drums of doom".

I think that truereality might bumbled onto something here. You have a large number of pissed off lesbians, that are afraid of what straight people will think of them watching Jackie Warner. Plus some of us are thinking do we want teenage lesbians growing up with her as a role model?

And before you(truereality) tell me that no true lesbians are upset by it. Go read the recap at afterellen.com, and the news article about the uproar.
Here are links to both, so you don't have to go search.

http://www.afterellen.com/blwe/05-16-08?page=0%2C7

and here is the link for the recap

http://www.afterellen.com/TV/recaps/workout/304
On the recap please note the conversation about Olivia having bad food and cramped quarters that has caused Olivia to drop them and even ban any Workout employees from their property.

There are also upset gay men, straight people and ones who are not sure what they are yet, but I am only speaking for one lesbian.

Of course Olivia, and afterellen could all be lesbian hating housewives with many kids, who just want to ruin Jackie Warner's life.

Here are some of my thoughts on the Gay Marriage Debate.

Politicians talk about "Traditional Marriage", but our laws regarding marriage have changed over the years (as well as many other laws). As recently as the 1960s it was illegal in many states to marry "outside of your race". Violators faced punishment including fines and jail time. There have even been laws on the books criminalizing a "black man for taking a white woman across state lines".
So thankfully we have the ability to update our laws as our society has developed a greater understanding of the human condition.

Some politicians argue that it is against "God's Law". We happen to live in a Country that was founded on Freedom of Religion. I don't see many politicians saying that certain religions have more rights than others. But I do hear that "America was founded under Judea-Christian Law" bandied about a lot. So this would mean our constitution protects Christians (The Bible), Jews (The Torah) and Muslims (The Koran) but no other religious groups? It's like saying, Buddhists and Hindus (and Taoists, Agnostics, Atheists etc.) don't deserve equal protection under the law. Just because someone has a different belief than you, it doesn't make them bad. We are supposed to support differences and diversity in our culture and our laws.
Remember, your religious freedoms and civil rights end where mine begin........ so I kindly ask you to "Please take a step back" you are cramping my Mojo.

Only if you are willing to sign a contract stating that the producers own your soul in perpetuity.

Because like I said, this is gonna be My Big Gay Reality Wedding!

Booglie,
Don't be surprised if some day soon some strange lady shows up on your doorstep with a suitcase in hand, a tray of freshly baked cookies in the other ...

Thanks everyone. The ones who spoke up, were not the ones who were upsetting me. I appreciate the support, and some people offered support in ways I was not expecting. I know it is easy to say old hillybilly, hick, redneck, southerner, but I know some true hillbillies and they would take their shirt off, give it to you, and carry you home and feed you, if they think you needed it. It seems in our society that has come so far, it is still ok to pick on women, large people, disabled people and what people assume are uneducated people, and sometimes even Southerners. I use a scooter to get around. You would be surprised at people who talk to my companion, instead of me because they assume I am mentally challenged. People are people, don't go lumping, not even religous people. I need to be reminded of that sometimes.

Since someone brought up the subject of gay cows, they are everywhere, and not just my farm. I have no idea why people have the idea that gay does not happen in the animal world. They obviously have never spent time around animals.

When should I expect the cookies??? happy.gif

Gold-digger! I thought you loved me for my wit.... I will have my "People" call your "People".

So yes! I except and everyone here is my witness. Half JC, think about it........ Half! I'll have my lawyer call your lawyer and we can work out the details. (wink)

And I need a U-Haul..... we need to have my stuff moved in before the crew shows up to film The Real House Husbands of Palm Springs.

Hey Ya'll,
Just acouple coments because I haven't been here in a while..
Liam, thank you for sharing your story. It got me to thinking. For gay people that live in my neck of the woods (small town, middle America) where there are relitivly few gay people, I would think TV shows dipicting strong, loving healthy gay families would be a lifeline...& that is what I kind of thought Workout was going to try to be. Didn't it kind of come across as that for a while. That is one reason I am disapointed that She is ending up so badly. Will it make that kid who is scared about their innermost feelings say "If that's what being gay is, I'll just keep hiding". How sad is that? No maybe JW shouldn't be/didn't ask to be a role model, but if Brovo is putting this out there, they need to realize some people might be looking at this like you looked at Donahue.

& now you want uneducated people like me to talk about gay mariage?? OK here goes.. I love my husband unconditionally, with everything I have & more. I don't think a love like that can just be about "feelings". I believe God put that in my heart & allowed me to feel those feelings. I believe it is a gift. If you feel the same way for someone (& who am I to say what you feel?) reguardless of their sex, why is that not also a gift from God & where do I get off being the judge of that? Why should my husband & I, or for that matter two teenage kids that thought it would be funny to run to Vagas & get hitched, be able to get health insurence together, make hospital decissions etc?

I've probably put my foot in it & said something totally wrong, & if I did I'm sorry, that was not my intent but there you go...
