Wow

Wouldn't that be funny if they did put two Guys on Bridezilla...

You know, I saw a show where they did, it was lots of drama (like all the other weddings on there)! And in the end it was beautiful (like all the other weddings on there)! That show just cracks me up! I just keep thinking - well, after you see all the stuff she is pulling with this wedding and you still marry her, you get what you deserve, buddy!!!! blink.gif

Hey Ya'll,
Just acouple coments because I haven't been here in a while..
Liam, thank you for sharing your story. It got me to thinking. For gay people that live in my neck of the woods (small town, middle America) where there are relitivly few gay people, I would think TV shows dipicting strong, loving healthy gay families would be a lifeline...& that is what I kind of thought Workout was going to try to be. Didn't it kind of come across as that for a while. That is one reason I am disapointed that She is ending up so badly. Will it make that kid who is scared about their innermost feelings say "If that's what being gay is, I'll just keep hiding". How sad is that? No maybe JW shouldn't be/didn't ask to be a role model, but if Brovo is putting this out there, they need to realize some people might be looking at this like you looked at Donahue.

& now you want uneducated people like me to talk about gay mariage?? OK here goes.. I love my husband unconditionally, with everything I have & more. I don't think a love like that can just be about "feelings". I believe God put that in my heart & allowed me to feel those feelings. I believe it is a gift. If you feel the same way for someone (& who am I to say what you feel?) reguardless of their sex, why is that not also a gift from God & where do I get off being the judge of that? Why should my husband & I, or for that matter two teenage kids that thought it would be funny to run to Vagas & get hitched, be able to get health insurence together, make hospital decissions etc?

I've probably put my foot in it & said something totally wrong, & if I did I'm sorry, that was not my intent but there you go...

Thanks, that was really sweet! I always love to hear other's thoughts and opinions. I wish more people felt the way you do regarding someone's sexual identity, but that is what makes the world a wonderful place. So many different people and so many different experiences. We need to embrace all change as something positive. If something bad happens to me i try to see it as a learning experience.

There is an old Arabic expression that I use when times are tough and it really helps me through. It is "All sunshine makes a desert".

From your posts, I would not call you uneducated, and neither should you wink.gif

I don't place much stock in "Formal" education. Many Ivy League college graduates that I know have very little practical knowledge. And almost no street smarts so........ Anyone can remember facts and pass tests if they study hard enough.

Wisdom is different than knowledge and much harder to gain.

lmao! It took me a long time to read and catch up.
To the angry producers, cast, etc...
Again. This is not about sexual preference.
This is so simple. I was a fan of the show.
I was upset by the show/Jackie's behavior and I wanted to speak my mind.
WE are your audience.
WE are the consumer of products advertised.
If we don't like it we have the right to express our feelings.
I am not the moral police and I'm not trying to get all the people involved in the show to loose their jobs.
We as an audience want to be listened to. If this was supposed to be a reality show then address the reality. Producers and writers let us know you hear us because we are not shutting up.
You say we don't have a life because we are still here. If you can waste your time here I can find a little time to waste mine until something changes.

Maybe someone should use all of the messages on this board to script the next "reality" show. I think we officially have all of the "character" requirements to fill out a Reality Show cast rather nicely.
We even have our Villains, that no one can get along with and who tries to shout everybody else down.

Well if JC has anything to say about it, I'm pretty sure he would like to see a big two-parter where I catch him * delicto in flagro * with you know who........ most likely on our honeymoon.

This is quickly becoming a show I want to watch.........

The extreme reaction has everything to do with Jackie being a lesbian.

Wow.. It never occurred to me that anyone, whether born gay or not, can say very public demeaning comments against another; and are not to be held accountable if they are a lesbian. I had always believed that we are all human beings and should be judged on our actions, not based on our sexual orientation. Silly me.

I am straight and female. I have an incredible female friend who is like a sister to me. She's honest, strong, loyal; everything you'd hope to have as a friend in your life. She was also born gay. She calls me out, as much as I call her out, when we behave badly in any given situation. Is that not what friends do?

What Jackie did can't be defended; and it's her utter complete lack of apologizing, telling the truth, and showing that she truly understands how hurtful her words were; that is fueling this issue. NOT because she's gay. It's also because she chose the Jamie incident to fire Peeler over, NOT because she felt she couldn't work with him any more and as an employer felt it was time to let him go. We all could of accepted that, or at least just argued over his contribution, or lack thereof, as an employee; but JACKIE used the Jamie incident as the justification for firing him. That fueld the issue, not because Peeler was straight.

I had always admired Jackie for her strength, accomplishments, her ability to show all women that we can be strong and successful. But I will not support any woman, whether gay or not, if they use their power to humiliate and demean another women; or ever feel they are above apologizing to another human being for their disrespectful actions.

You are offensive to even imply that my feeings are based on Jackie's sexual orientation. You don't have a crystal ball that knows how we are all thinking, obviously; you just throw out stereptypical prejudices to derail the real issue here: Jackie's horribe actions as a human being.

Amen. I was drawn to the show by the Season One promos that promised a strong and successful woman who was going to share all aspects of that success, including ups-and-downs at home. As it turns out, they failed to deliver ... offering up a vain, insecure tyrant with apparently no concept of compassion.

As a lesbian who looks better in suede than silk, I am still haunted by the afterimage of the "blackjack" woman standing between Ms. Warner and Rebecca. That woman saw the program two weeks ago, and I can only guess at how she felt to be so marginalized ... and by someone she no doubt supported.

I hope she realizes that the comments just made Jackie look bad, not her. I was again, absolutely shocked that Brovo would even show that. It had no redeeming parts too it. It just made Rebecca & Jackie look worse, & there are plenty of those moments, we don't need any more. It was that same bullying attitude that they did to Jamie.

JACKIE Warner is about to open a Sky Sport fitness center and restaurant on Hollywood Boulevard.

You don't know who Jackie Warner is? She' s the host of Bravo Network's "Work Out" reality show, which follows her adventures as she manages training programs at her Sky Sport gym in Beverly Hills and her SkyLab fat farm in Northern California. The series also features her latest lesbian love trysts. That's to say: It's not your traditional workout show. You've come a long way from Jane Fonda, baby.

Her new 4,000-square-foot Hollywood digs between Highland Avenue and Vine Street will feature a street-level window allowing tourists to watch as trainers lead people in workout classes across a polished wooden floor. The second level is reserved for free-weight training and the third for "spinning," or stationary power-cycling.

"I want this to be a very different experience from Sky Sport in Beverly Hills," Warner said. "I want it to be very accessible with classes starting at $20." In contrast, Sky Sport Beverly Hills personal training services can cost between $300 and $400 a session.

Warner's become a one-woman business incubator. She is opening a restaurant next door, List, where every meal is under 450 calories and has less than 3 grams of sugar.

"You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there without ever going over your 1,500-calorie-a-day limit," Warner said.

And she recently launched Ten, an active wear clothing line, along with a Jackie-branded protein shake and bar.

She also has plans to open a SkyLab fitness retreat near San Luis Obispo, Calif.

"She is definitely very entrepreneurial," said Andrew Cohen, the Bravo executive who green lit the "Work Out" series three years ago after receiving a promo tape from Warner's producers.

"Women really love her, and I'm not just talking about lesbians," Cohen said. "She has a very diverse following of married women, couples and even some men."

Warner made her first million in her early 20s as one of L.A.'s first cellular phone distributors, but later lost her fortune in a failed fitness business in Beverly Hills. She sold off some of her family's antiques--her parents were in the business--and used the money to start over again.

"My life has been a roller coaster," Warner said. "But I tell people to never give up."

and what is her obsession with "grams of sugar" in something? I dont' get it...does she not realize the body runs on glucose aka sugar, not to mention...calories? Why am I not surprised. She's going on the sugar addicts diet kick again...lol. I mean, it hasn't been around since the 80's so it's time to be reborn.

She can't come up with workouts to burn fuel so she of course will limit it going into the body to make her clients see results. Ugghh... there is so much wrong with her approach to fitness and being healthy...it makes my head hurt.

Speaking of sleep! Have you looked at the times of Liam's post, do you think he ever sleeps? I don't know how I am going to carry off this Honeymoon affair with Greg, if Liam is always awake... I am going to have to slip him some sleeping pills at our Wedding Toast...

Do you think this is a possibility? Jackie is slowly taking over the State of California so she can own that part of the TV industry that is located there? She could then dictate what happens on Work Out because she would buy the program from Bravo and develop the program as she wants. She will pay off California' State Debt. And then become Emperor of California. Nope could not possibly happen. Napoleon already tried part of that in Europe and met his Waterloo. wink.gif

I have begun thinking outside the envelope. Do you think I need some sleep?

I did invite him to perform at our wedding... Great idea he is single and a Bartender....

Is anyone going to watch Workout tonight? I am troubled over wether I will or not watch, I want to see what happens between Ms. Warner and PEELER....

I'm probably going to do the same thing as last week. I'll DVR it and watch the scenes with Peeler then erase.

The Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa... There are allot of little boutique hotels in the area that would better suit her. The Dolphin Bay Resort and Spa is 2 years old and a large resort...

You are probably correct. Was just a guess on my part because it is big enough to handle one or two or three Sky lab retreats at a time.

Did they ever respond to our emails?

She's more likely take over West Hollywood and throw out all the Gay Boys...

redeeming qualities other than a quick

and what is her obsession with "grams of sugar" in something? I dont' get it...does she not realize the body runs on glucose aka sugar, not to mention...calories? Why am I not surprised. She's going on the sugar addicts diet kick again...lol. I mean, it hasn't been around since the 80's so it's time to be reborn.

She can't come up with workouts to burn fuel so she of course will limit it going into the body to make her clients see results. Ugghh... there is so much wrong with her approach to fitness and being healthy...it makes my head hurt.

I sent them 3 and never got a response. Her advertisement is still on there home page... angry.gif

"Jackie Warner Confesses

Love or hate her, it seems that regardless of your feelings about the uber-fit self-promoter Jackie Warner, there is no getting away from her. She’s got five successful businesses, including the Bravo hit show Work Out (now in its third season) and a new fitness DVD, One-on-One with Jackie, so if you’re into exercise, you will eventually run into her. And even though she is completely open about her life on the screen, there are still a few things we don’t know about Warner. Luckily, she divulges to us why she’s so self-obsessed, who she wants to sleep with and what she thinks of straight guys.

You own five businesses. Is your goal to be a fit lesbian Martha Stewart?
[Laughs.] “A fit lesbian Martha Stewart.” Yes. I mean that is exactly my goal. I want to cross over and see through all health, fitness, diet-related principles and I would like to be that main, go-to girl for all things having to do with health-related issues. Mainly food and sugar I deal a lot with depression, sleep disorders, things that are very important to women in particular. So I’m absolutely trying to position myself as a leader in that industry.

Have you had difficulties as a woman and an out lesbian in such a competitive business?
Not that much in L.A. because we’re so liberal here. Certainly around Middle America. What was very surprising and it was a nice surprise is Middle America middle-class housewives have embraced me. They’re one of my largest markets. I was very pleased to see that they ignored the lesbian aspect, and ignored whatever issues they may have with gays and lesbians and have embraced me as just an individual.

I noticed that this season focuses on you being self-obsessed and self-important. Is that editing or accuracy?
No, I think that what people will see this season is that first of all, to own five businesses and to give all these people—I employ quite a few people and to keep them working and keep them happy and healthy and [my businesses] profitable, I have to be self-obsessed. The businesses are related to what I do. So my staff should be very thankful that I have a place that they can go to and make a lot of money, and have a relatively nice lifestyle.

I would have to agree with that.
Yes. I think that more than anything you’re just going to see a lot of jealousies coming out. Everybody has to make their own way and the people who make their own way, do it themselves and make something out of this opportunity should be happy. And the ones that don’t and haven’t fulfilled themselves, they’re gonna be bitching and complaining. "

The Interview continues.....

"Let’s talk about the two straight guys on the show Do you feel that you have to prove you’re the alpha dog with them?
Well, for me it’s not about alpha dogs or any of that, it’s about having respect for me as being your boss, and for you being employed by me. The only time I care is if you’re disrespectful in a work environment. That’s not about being alpha male or female, it’s simply about having respect for your boss and I would not have ever in my life have I treated my boss the way that either of them treated me. "

Sounds like Greg Plitt gets fired too....... if you watch the preview on Bravo she takes him to task on tonight's episode. And the last episode he said some pretty insightful things to Peeler regarding Jackie's behavior.

For those who are not watching, you can always go to Afterellen.com and read the recaps. I always do and they are hysterical!

Too much sugar is not good for the body. Unless you have a hypo/hyper glycemic condition, sugar is fine (not the refined crap we get in food like hi fructose corn syrup, real sugar) As stated...it's how the body functions. Everything is eventually turned into glucose. Everything in moderation.

I would also like to see "what" sugar she is putting in her bars and shakes and whatever else she is going to come out with.
JCpalmsprings
This is only my observation! I heard from that interview that her success is only due to her and not the people working with her.

I also thought that from her blog posted on this site that she blames editing! This interview would contradict that...

This could explain Dacia, shadow and Jack... They now sound more like employee's of hers that are about to loose there job???

She could always renovate the gym/spa at Dolphin Bay.... could just be an adjunct and she is not buying the whole thing. Maybe a joint Venture, or she could be subleasing... Who is backing her?...... hopefully her business partners are aware of her public behavior.

Maybe you could apply to be her PR Manager, I don't think her current one is any good...

Sounds like a good idea, me, Jackie Warner's PR Manager, My first official duty would be to gag her mouth for a while. No demeaning comments allowed.

Second official act would be to instruct her on how to treat employees. If you want "respect" from employees, you gotta "respect" your employees.

My list is long...
