Here's the biggest problem with that argument. The people stirring up this little storm of outrage don't come close to the number of people still tuning in. You see, numbers like that get reported in AdWeek and Advertising Age and the mainstream press in general. So far, the number of people who are "outraged" is small. What you're doing is trying to be a great big party pooper over a show you DO NOT HAVE TO WATCH! Most people watching the show are totally unaware of this controversy. They're not reading Bravo Boards and AfterEllen. No one is paying attention. I have a problem with a small group of people trying to dictate what I watch! I want to watch the show! You don't have to watch! You're not a fan! I don't believe it anymore. I really think many of you are bent on getting this (in your head) immoral perverse show taken off the air because liberal open-minded people wouldn't care but most importantly, fair, open-minded individuals understand the value in the First Amendment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To gay viewers, you're playing into the devil's hand. These are the same people who protest gay marriage and wanted Ellen off the air! You believe they're not anti-gay? Think again! It took decades to get Gay and Lesbians on television and now you're fighting to have them taken off? Be careful what you wish for!
how do you know most people that watch the show aren't aware of the controversy? do you think companies pull thier support from getting ten emails? How do you know the number of outraged is small?
Why again does this go back to jackie being a lesbian. That has nothing to do with the price of tea in china.
I really can't beleive no one mentioned WWII and the Nazis yet...I wonder how many more red herrings and ad hominems can we get in here?
