You may hurl your verbal assault. I most certainly didn't say you hit

your target. Accusations of the sort you hurl have no basis in fact

which has the end result of the entire thing becoming nothing more

than hot air.

What is the cost of tea in China????? Does that kind of tea go well

with Oatmeal Cookies with Cranberries????? Would you like some

oatmeal cookies with Cranberries to go with the tea I might buy

from China, if I can ever get the cost of tea in China?????

how do you know most people that watch the show aren't aware of the controversy? do you think companies pull thier support from getting ten emails? How do you know the number of outraged is small?

Why again does this go back to jackie being a lesbian. That has nothing to do with the price of tea in china.

I really can't beleive no one mentioned WWII and the Nazis yet...I wonder how many more red herrings and ad hominems can we get in here?

Yes, I am back...
Is it safe I was hiding in the closet way at the back of the house. I am afraid to post with all of the hate in this room.....

I think JD looks like his head was put into a vice during wood shop. Sorry

Greg, now he's hot! Underwear, soaking wet & a little bourbon on his breath. DROOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

The rest of the cast! Who fn cares....

Wow I felt so sorry for PEELER! He was a drunken mess at a memorial charity event. I know he was going through allot but you have to leave your problems outside. You should never drink that much when in an uncomfortable state of mind

I actually liked Jackie again! I think she handled the Greg situation very professionally and even injected some humor into their conversation...

She even tried to reach out to a drunken PEELER and I felt it was genuine. PEELER so wants to belong and be a part of Jackie's business and just doesn't understand this is her project.
The memorial.

In no way do I condone her actions for episode 3 and 4 but this one was very well edited and maybe acted.
I still think she needs to make some sort of effort too apologize to her viewing and purchasing public.

How in the world is Peeler a compulsive liar? Do you know even know what that means? Jeez, the man was in pain, he signed divorce papers earlier that day and was looking for something to hold onto and he desperately and sadly reached out to Jackie for some reason. That doesn't make him liar.

I have to say I did enjoy tonight's episode a lot more than the previous episodes this season.
The episode had a more uplifting feel. Even if it did get ugly at the end.
All of us act stupid. All of us do cruel and mean things. We are all human. But the first three episodes were really painting Jackie as a very negative person.

I found her extremely likable this episode. I don't think it excuses everything that I have posted about previously.
I just like that Work Out (and Jackie) seem to be getting back to the core values of why I started to watch this show to begin with and fell in love with this "family".
I am glad that it seems as though someone was listening to the fans. Because the entire tone of this episode is radically different than the previous direction this show was headed. I felt hopeful at the end of the episode not angry and that is a huge step in the right direction.
I just wish Jackie would address what happened before, I am extremely anxious to hear an explanation. And obviously willing to forgive someone as long as they are willing to accept responsibility for their actions.

You have got to be kidding. Jackie Warner's only comparison to Martin

Luther King Jr is that both were born human beings. To equate our

outrage at the disrespectful rude behavior towards her employees

to the absolute for real racism fought by Martin Luther King Jr is in

many ways worse than anything Jackie Warner has done. You have

done it. You have shown me how there are indeed other people more

rude and disrespectful than Jackie Warner. I am sorry to say it. I read

your equating Jackie Warner to Martin Luther King Jr. I hope you will

someday notice how wrong that is.

QUOTE (Dacia @ May 20, 2008 - 11:46 PM) *
So you're saying that your hateful responses about Jackie, your questioning her qualifications (I've read your rants. Wasn't that you who made some b1tchie remark about sugar? Go read about why there are so many fat asses in the US! It's sugar! Better yet, High fructose corn syrup), your dismissal of anyone's disagreement and your refusal to address any sort of valid fact that is offered to you is justified on the same level as Martin Luther King Jr. fighting for civil rights? To those who are fighting persecution? To those who have suffered extreme discrimination? To those who have died to defend their rights? Is that you?

Let me get this straight, you believe that your life will begin to end if you are silenced on the Jackie Warner issue? You think Bravo is holding you down? You feel discriminated against? Violated? Victimized? Really? You do? Are you also mentally ill? Illiterate? A racist? Or just a complete idiot?

Don't attack me. Define your cause! Explain to me how you can compare the persecution of an entire race to some bullsh*t television show that you don't need to watch? I want to hear your explanation because to me, it's just an excuse for you to express your bitter angry feelings toward anyone who is different from you or who is more successful than you.

If you want to live by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr's words, then get off your ass and go speak about something that matters! Because, I'll tell you what, I'm here because I'm not going to let some angry zealots disrupt what has taken years to create. You asked how I know not everyone who watches is aware of your little cause. BECAUSE OF THE VIEWING NUMBERS! Your petition = 600 something, Your group of hate on this board, combined with others = not even 100. No CNN, NO FOX, NO NOTHING! People still tuning in, over 500K! YOU WORK OUT THE NUMBERS!

I'll wait for your clear explanation of why you are here attacking Work Out, Jackie Warner and anyone who disagrees with you but more importantly, I want to hear how it compares to the civil right's movement and to any human right's violations around the world. Is Jackie Warner the new Pol Pot? Please tell me how your rights and the ADULT CONSENTING cast of Work Out's rights have been violated. Maybe you can throw in some more MLK quotes to help your cause.

I've got an idea. Go rent The Killing Fields and then get back to me on how the ADULT FREE WILLED CAST of Work Out fits well into your claim of speaking out for the persecuted. This is great. A great man dedicates his life to leadership, education and breaking down barriers and you take his quote about RESPONSIBILITY and apply it to your petty hate. Perfect. MLK died so you could rationalize your hate for a woman you don't know. Brilliant.

Thanks!

I do however find PEELER very committed and passionate for his craft and clients...

As for the show, I have no idea after tonight why I have watched it for so long!

Soap operas have far less Drama and plot twist then this.

I am not sure how much longer I will watch and how much longer I will post on this board.

I will however be on Top Chef boards! I can at least believe that is reality programming.

Over the Last 5 episodes of Workout I have to ask myself Why they thought this was good enough to air this year. I am mentally drained and the life-force has been sucked out of me...
They have sucked it right out of me. Can someone please remind me of why I have watch this and what this is all about????
KariAna
Some of these people just like to bash people. They don't know any

better. They cannot concieve of the kind of anger we feel because

our reactions are pure and honest, straightforward thinking. It is

sad how people just like to disagree and trash people. This is why I

look at behavior as much as possible because all humans have some

good qualities. Part of why I gave Jackie some slack last season when

she began this arrogant POV. I just didn't have any leeway left after

the first two episodes. The third one was the last straw. That was

the last episode I watched and I deleted WorkOut from my DVR the

next Tuesday before it began recording.

Jesus, what is it with you and the Peeler bashing? Talking about his eduction level and intelligence? Brian Peeler fits the profile of the average violent offender in prison. Do you realize how idiotic that sounds? Making such an extreme psychological analysis of someone you've never met?

Get a grip and find another target and outlet for your frustration. I thought your other posts were ridiculous, but this one takes the cake.

Jackie was great in last night's episode. She looked like a million bucks at Doug's charity auction and handled herself beautifully.

Brian Peeler, true to form, couldn't handle having a woman lead the auction and had to control and dominate as much as he could. Luckily the crowd realized what this guy was about real quick and ignored him. He got the message and retreated back into the crowd. Later he confronted Jackie about getting his job back. Mind you he was completely drunk and desperate so he was saying how much he loved Jackie etc. Luckily she said no when he asked for his job back.

I think this episode was a turning point in the season. All the negativity was flushed out. Next week we get to see Jackie's mom again and Brianna's family which brings us back to the humanity that this show had in season one and two.
JCpalmsprings
I hope PEELER came out of such a dark place. You have to feel for the guy....

Loose your friend.
Loose your Wife.
Loose your Job.

That is not easy to do all in a few months.

I can't re-watch 3 episodes this year. Two for the rage I feel for Jackie's actions and one for the hurt and pain Brian was in...

Liam, I have no life-force left, Can you come over and inject me with some????

Are you drunk? I'm not being a b1tch, I'm being serious. I was explaining to the poster who said that ClareKotas MLK quote on her posts is relevant. I pointed out that a man who died for such an important cause should not be used in such a petty matter on any level.

Then, Kiasmommy (or whatever her name is chimed in) with a very obnoxious refute that I was incorrect and that MLK's quote "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter"

It is a quote reflecting our responsibility. It is about ending discrimination. It is about addressing racism. If I seriously have to explain this and if you really didn't understand my point regarding the importance of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr's work versus your petty attempt at attacking a TELEVISION PERSONALITY, then you are so much more disturbed than I could ever imagine.

MLK was speaking about civil rights. He worked on behalf of humanity and those who are persecuted and held back. WORK OUT IS A TELEVISION SHOW FULLY CAST WITH CONSENTING ADULTS! NO COMPARISON. NOT THE SAME. NOT EVEN IN THE SAME F*CKING BALL PARK KARI ANA!

Kari Ana- Jackie's behavior is not your business. She is not violating your rights as a human, she is not violating your civil rights, she's not doing anything to you or your family. It's a television show and there are far worse shows on TV. Go back to your Bible (re-edited with the right to judge and hate), go back to your 700 Club Board and STFU!

I'll spell it out: I NEVER MADE A COMPARISON BETWEEN MARTIN LUTHER KING AND JACKIE WARNER. That just shows the level of complete ineptitude among some attempting to rationalize their stupid little crusade.
JCpalmsprings
Thats not what I saw. Jackie looked like jackie and PEELER is a very emmotionaly hurt sole...
Gregg however did admit to lieing to deenie.
He somewhat admires Jackie and wants to be a part of the Business not an associate under Jackie.
You can Bash him all you want! I just feel he is a lost sole and wants to belong... Who hasn't been lost and who doesn't want to belong.
He had no business being that drunk and aggressive. I will agree to that. I hope he finds his way and also appoligizes to us and Jakie. They both have some redeeming gualities...

I couldn't agree with you more...... on most of your post. However I as a viewer, I disagree with your assessment as to why Brian got up there, I thought he got up because he needed to be in the spotlight. I felt he had a huge need to feel accepted and liked, not because it was a woman leading the auction. I know it's a subtle difference but one comes from a place of hurt and one comes from a place of hate. I don't think he hates women. At least I didn't see it in this episode. I felt really bad for him when no one bid (crickets-yikes!) but he asked for it. And before I get attacked I would have felt bad for anyone in that situation (even Jackie) it's called being compassionate.

But I am glad to see Jackie looking great & more importantly acting great.

As far as next week's episode, I feel bad for Jackie in her attempts to deal with her Mom. I personally have had to distance myself from negative relatives and I've learned that there are your friends who are family and your family who are your friends. Luckily I have both.

Liam- you asked me why I'm here or what view was? I saw the question but can't find it now.

Because it has taken many years to get to a point in US society where gays and lesbians can just 'be' on television. They don't need to 'play' a certain role or fulfill a certain stereotype. They can simply exist on television as humans who are flawed, complicated and normal.

I have watched this turn into a tear down Jackie Warner based on several different arguments. First the boobs then the inappropriate behavior, then her treatment of employees and blah blah blah! She may very well have done ALL of those things but every single person who was involved was a free-willed consenting adult! It's a television show. It's meant to be entertaining.

At first, I thought, okay people think it's about cancer. I accept that. But it wasn't about that. Then people pretended that Jackie was 'victimizing' people. No she's not. They're all adults. No one is being held against their will and again, no one has to watch the show.

I don't believe all of these people on the boards are gays and lesbians. I've spent way too many years dealing with the Freaked out paranoid religious right! I know how they work! I even studied it in college. It was referred to as their "stealth" tactics. Get in and then take it down! That is their motto.

Removing a show because you don't "like" the person on the show is censorship. I refuse to believe that gays and lesbians want to roll back the clocks to a time when any show depicting a homosexual would be called for a boycott by zealots! If you succeed in having this show canceled, you have played right into the hands of the very people who want you to go to hell! That's a fact!

I also think any "campaign" that perpetuates negativity and hate is counter productive to society in general. Every day, all I see is more b1tching and ranting against Jackie or Work OUt. It's such a waste of time and like I said, don't watch the show- move on.

Tonight, the show was great! I really enjoyed it.

JCpalmsprings
I as a Gay man was offended by her portrayal of gay people in those two episodes! She is playing right into the fundamental Christian bigots that do exist. If you look at past interviews, out magazine, Advocate and Vanity fair she and the interviewee both put her in the Position of a strong Gay Role Model.
My Role Model is my attorney! She is a woman who put herself through law school at the age of fifty. She past the Bar exam the first time at the age of 55. I worked with her and bought part of her Law Firm after we Started working with indigent people with AIDS at DAP (Desert Aids Program) writing wills, powers of attorney and health care directives to protect their partners and to protect them from anti-gay relatives. We did this at no charge and helped hundreds of sick and dying people with no money.
Keep in mind we are a community(GLBT) but we all have different Morals, Standards and Opinions. That is what makes up all people Gay, Straight or indiferent...

She may very well have done ALL of those things but every single person who was involved was a free-willed consenting adult! It's a television show. It's meant to be entertaining.

At first, I thought, OK people think it's about cancer.

Remember JC, just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to getcha! Kidding Brother.
All of us come from different backgrounds and have different levels of trust. I have learned that many people will never believe a thing they are told, they need to experience it themselves.
That's OK. Some people are so gullible they'd buy the Brooklyn Bridge, it all depends on where we are on our own personal journey _oops sounding like Gregg B. LOL
But you know what I mean. I see her point about boycotts etc. And I know both of us have experienced antigay hatred but...... I decided to lower my shield and actually see my opponent's face and what do you know...... she is one of our own tribe fighting for our rights. She is just doing what she feels is right, same as the rest of us.
We all can take a big ole slice of humble pie and feel vindicated. The show is improving. That was my biggest complaint, how horrible Jackie was being portrayed.
OK I'm done, who needs a soapbox?

I couldn't agree with you more...... on most of your post. However I as a viewer, I disagree with your assessment as to why Brian got up there, I thought he got up because he needed to be in the spotlight. I felt he had a huge need to feel accepted and liked, not because it was a woman leading the auction. I know it's a subtle difference but one comes from a place of hurt and one comes from a place of hate. I don't think he hates women.

I agree that he wanted the spotlight just like when he came here to ask for our support in having a reunion. He also said he didn't believe the items were getting the prices he believed possible. Obviously he thought the woman auctioneer wasn't up for the job so he "had to" intervene. It goes back to his "traditional" gender belief system. He believes a woman's place is to be subservient to men and to never stray from feminine constructs.

Dacia, I am glad you seen what the extreme reaction was really about.

true you have allot of valid points but if we start doing the name calling are we really any better then they are.
I don't know any of these people and yes I will take some of them at face value.
I have also e-mail a few and said things like you are sounding like an angry mob, or that hurt someone's feelings. Hate is out their, I try to take the high Ground.
I only know Jackie and Peeler from the show Workout! I can only comment on there portrayal as aired.
Tonight Jackie was great and Peeler was drunk and way out of line...
I don't know if I will watch next weeks episode! I just started speaking to my sister because of her religious views after 20 years and met my nephew who is 15. She is now very Ill and filled with guilt because of her views. I have never assaulted her on her beliefs because one day she would do that for herself and she did turn it all around...
Liam and I are friends and I have introduced him to some of mine and allot of them are straight. Gay and Straight is not something that has ever factored into that...
You can't attack someone on thier ignorance or different belief and religious values they just will not get it...
Look at my sister sick and full of regret that she missed 20 years of her brothers life....

Not to split hairs True but again, I don't think Peeler was portrayed that way. I saw someone (doesn't matter who) trying to get the most amount of money- out of respect for a good friend (and to do a little grandstanding). Not because it was a woman auctioneer.
Your personal hatred of all things Peeler seems to be clouding your judgement. He may be a bigot, he may be a misogynist, I wouldn't know......
I'm speaking about my perception of what I saw this evening.

I judge people based on their character not on their gender, ethnic background, religion, economic status or education level etc. I have not seen this bigotry shown on Work Out in regards to Peeler. Seems like no matter what, you have chosen to see every single thing that a certain person does as proof of their prejudice, but frankly the only one who is painting with that broad of a brush is you.
I'm not trying to pick a fight, just asking that you reflect on where your anger is coming from. Like I said even if he is as bad as you say...... it is not germane to this exact situation.

I used to love the show but ever since Jackie has name recognition, she thinks she is a celeb. I remember in the begining she was humble and proud of what she had accomplished but at this point she is arrogant, rude, she thinks she is better than everyone, she has an attitude and she is annoying to watch.
As the owner or even manager, to speak negativley about a clients body is horrible and rude. You go to a gym to escape the outside, it is a place where you should feel comfortable. Peeler had every right to be angry and when Jackie dismissed him, she was completly wrong and rude.
The only reason her employees stay with her and put up with her is because of her show. If they werent getting the fame and recognition fromn it, they would have left because they wouldnt be able to put up with her.
I think the show should be about Peeler starting his own gym!!
I think he is a genuine, sweet guy! He is so much better than Jackie and shouldnt have to take her bipolar crap.
Jackie goes to a psychiatrist who she pays to agree with her and tell her..."oh poor jackie". Either her psychiatrist is not fit for the job (like Jackie) or she just wants to agree and get paid.

Either way....Peeler was my favorite part of the show and now I cant stand watching it if he isnt in it.
Keep your head up Peeler...good guys always win in the end! (Jackie is nothing...we can see right through her)

Why cant everyone just accept the fact that we dont like the way Jackie acts, is rude to her employees, or her clients. It has nothing to do with how she grew up, our political beliefs, wether we are on the right-left- or center...She has just morphed into a totally diff person than in the first season where she was humble. I used to like her and I dont now...That has nothing to do with anything but her attitude.

...Also Peeler tried to get on stage and get more money, it wasnt for the spotlight. He is a man who is hurt, he is going through so much. Have some compassion people. Everyone handles pain differently. He tried to sit down wiht Jackie and be so sweet, I felt so bad for him and she was so rude. She always picked a fight with him, was rude to him , was rude to his client and was waiting to fire him. Anytime he would speak, she would look at him as if he were stupid. TOnight when he got on stage to try to donate some personal training time, she was sitting there smirking with a "aha" look on her face. THat is extremely rude and disrespectfull. She has no heart. I never come on these things to write but I am so shocked by the behavior of an supposed adult. To smile in someone elses misery is truly disgusting!!
Im not going to watch the show anymore until Peeler is brought back on or he gets his own show or she apoligizes ot him or something.

I still believe that Jackie has some apologizing to do. I'm not sure if you read my other posts but.... I also felt really bad for Peeler- ouch, that was harsh.
But he made an ass of himself and was put in his place. I have done some pretty stupid things in my life while intoxicated and I too have realized that you need to accept responsibility for your actions.
So what I am trying to say is I agree with you in that, even if someone here on these boards is a fundamentalist right wing Christian and is angry and upset with Jackie for her behavior, then they have every right to be. Of course if they are angry and upset because she is a lesbian then I would have a problem with that.
I don't believe in the politics of division. There are way too many labels that people adhere to so desperately. Our governments have been successful in keeping us separated for too long. Each within our own demographic group trying to desperately stand apart while also fitting in. We should be celebrating our differences not trying to tear each other down. If everyone in the world sat down and talked openly and respectfully the world would be a much better place. We have so much more in common than we have differences.

Yep. Didn't change my mind at all. Your Cartman reference made me think of something funny though. You have to imagine this in Cartman's voice to work:

Look I know it wasn't the right thing to get drunk at Doug's fundraiser. I wish I wouldn't but I did and I can't go back. I have never felt the hurt that I have felt that night in my entire life. I was dying inside and I couldn't stop the pain. Greg Piltt had told me that Jackie had talked to him earlier that day and said she wanted to hire me back and say she was sorry. So when I pulled her outside I thought she was going to say she was sorry for the things she had said about Jamie and I. But no she didn't this was the only reason I was saying I love you because I thought she had grown as a woman and decided she was going to say she was sorry. Boy was I wrong and once I knew she was going to try to flip the script I was going all in. I laid all my cards out on the line. I told her exactly what everyone has been wanting to say to her for a long time. She treats people like they are her toys and she only uses them when is for her own good. Look I am not perfect nor will I ever be and I am sorry I made a fool out of myself. You guys have to understand I just lost my Wife and I am at a fundraiser for Doug and then I felt all alone from the group because they really didn't know what went on with Jackie and I and they kinda thought I was an out cast and taking things to far. I have grown stronger and learned from my mistakes. I know now that drinking does not cure the pain in your heart it only makes it hurt worst. I wish I was sober that night so I could have really said everything I wanted to say. I got out a lot at the end but I had so much more to say. Maybe some day you will understand how and why I did what I did and know I am a good person. I am ashamed of what I did on stage but all I ever meant to do was help my buddies cause and help raise more money. All I wound up doing was making myself look like a fool. Especially when you take responsibility for your deeds. You owned it man. Enough said.

Peeler I'm one of those fans who believes that an entertainer doesn't owe the public anything except a good performance. As long as you are not hurting anyone or scaring the livestock wink.gif
I would encourage you to keep that in mind during this transition. Like I posted on Greg Plitt's blog today. I believe that everything you put out into the universe comes back to you tenfold.
Think and act positively and it will happen for you. It's easy to get caught up in the negativity.
Even if you read some of the posts here, you would see it can get pretty contentious, but when we acted positively, cooler heads prevailed. And we could then start to have a rational conversation and exchange of ideas. But first we needed to be willing to respect each others opinions and differences.

I wish Jackie could learn how to own up to one's mistake as you have Peeler. I'm truly sorry for all that you've gone through and appreciate your heartfelt apology. If Jackie had done this days ago none of the outrage would of been here. All Jackie has shown is that she's above everyone else and doesn't have to apologize for her disgusting behavior.

After going back and reading last night's posts, what stuck out to me is the venom of three or so posters towards others. I guess it shouldn't surprise me, they are only supporting and mimicking Jackie's behavior. Neither Jackie or her supporters can defend or justify what happened with Jamie, so lets just attack everyone personally, add racism into the pot, stir in hatred, and derail what the real issue is.

Saddest part of all, none of this was necessary. All it would of taken was a very simple "I'm sorry for my thoughtless comments and actions". It would of been over.
