Dacia...You are assuming I don't fight for those issues. That is not what this board is about. It's about the show Work Out. Florida is the last remaining state to prohibit G/L from adopting. I have written Jeb Bush when he was still governor and sent him 18 pictures of children locked in the foster care system in his state that would in any other state be adopted by the very ones the STATE was having to pay to care for them. Alex and I have been together for 20 years this past March. We had our own ceremony in 1988. We have the financial ability to legally incorporate our relationship as if we are "legally" married. Power of attorney, medical power, joint ownership of everything we have. We share a hyphenated last name (costs tons of time and money) but we realize not everyone has the money to do all that. Her company allows us to have insurance together. Mine does not. We annually go to Washington and lobby on behave of the gay marriage amendment. So, yes, I am very aware of the obstacles we face but the militant anger of so many GLT is the very thing that reinforces the negative connotation that middle America has of us. And a lesbian in a position of power, a boss, having ANY sexual relationship with an employee is fuel for the very fire you are so angry about. With power and position comes responsibility. You want the stereotype of lesbians to change, the view that gays can't and won't commit, that lesbians have no boundaries, that G/L only stay in relationships until the horny feelings go away. Jackie's sexual exploitations of her female staff reinforces what main stream America is already afraid of...the gay agenda to convert all to homosexuality. "Every straight girl is a cocktail away from being gay," Jackie Warner quote. So am I angry at how Jackie is portraying the American lesbian, you damn right I am angry. And if pulling her off the air is the only way for her to realize...like it or not, you are being watched and you do represent a powerful lesbian and you are killing us with the revolving door you seem to have on you pussy. Jackie has set the Lesbian agenda back 5 years and I for one would like her to reimburse Alex and I for all the money we have spent trying to get mainstream America to see us as capable women who love, and are committed to honesty and integrity. Lesbians are women who have great work ethics, women who don't use their position to exploit other women or lord over those with penis's. We enjoy good friends and we go to church and we love our kids. We are you...
So Jackie...you have been given a great opportunity to represent the rest of us lesbians who do not have a TV platform. Use this position wisely or I too will be signing the petition to get you off the air.
Well DrB, I guess you'll be busy when Gimme Sugar premieres on Logo in June. More lesbians running a business, being slutty and not living up to your standard.
Last time I checked, no one was criticizing Brian Peeler for discussing that he would take 3 or 4 different girls to bed each week before Kate. Why is that? The last time I checked, everyone on the show was a consenting free-willed adult. The trainers on the show were "cast" on the show. You do know it's a show? Right?
DrB, You sound like someone on the right who is overly familiar with every single law giving gays and lesbians equal rights. You aren't familiar with them because you're gay; you're familiar with them because you want to stop them. I don't believe you're a lesbian for the simple reason that you are completely intolerant of someone who chooses to lead her adult life with other consenting adults differently than you. You also think that it's okay for another poster to suggest that I'm some lesbian who just thinks Jackie is hot? WTF? I've never even defended Jackie Warner in terms of her looks, personality or character. I simply pointed out that the same standards are not being applied to everyone. Brian Peeler is a 10th grade drop out, divorced after only 3 months, known to frequent strip clubs, known womanizer, known to have anger control issues, but that's all okay?
Lorizh- You attacked KisaB whose posts I have read and which were quite hostile toward Jackie. Now she questions the authority of the hate movement and you turn on her? I’ve noticed you mostly ignore her posts anyway. She was completely within her right to point out the obvious regarding Doug’s benefit. Jackie Warner was not in charge of Doug's Night to Remember. She was a guest. She had one role that evening during the auction. That’s it. Her involvement in the organization itself and the event was minimal. The crowd was appalled by Brian Peeler. There's no way a group of adults, in a party atmosphere would suddenly stand together in total silence based on some secret pact they had with Jackie. No one knew that Brian was going act like a total ass but when he did, not one of Doug's close friends came to his defense. Not one. Instead, the 150 or so people just stood there staring at him with disdain.
As for Jamie Eason, she clearly doesn't give a sh1t! We've now gone way past the air date and she hasn't said anything in Brian's defense nor has Rich. Brian is now working at BodyImage which is hilarious because that's the gym featured on the former reality series The Gym. The owner is very tough and the staff is large. So he's claiming to have his own show coming out. Well good for him but I find it interesting that he immediately ran to a gym that already had one. It was canceled. Brian told me right here that he has a large construction company. No he doesn’t. He attempted, at one point, to work in construction but failed. The best part is that he called it a large construction company. Really? Then why are you working at BodyImage and how is it that some very established construction companies have gone under because of the economy but you magically formed a large one with zero capital? He can spew whatever bs he wants but don’t excuse his lies and contradictions while pointing your judgmental finger at Jackie Warner.
I'll stick with Jesse's statement. If Jackie was sooooooooo wrong, then why did Brian beg for his job back?
Lorizh-I'll just assume that you didn't read any of the articles posted by Nama? Because that's Brian in his own words and his own words contradict everything he has ever said. He's a natural born liar with anger control issues. Your post to Brian states that everyone makes mistakes and it will be okay. Really? Is Jackie allowed to make mistakes? Why does she owe you an apology? How do you know she hasn't been in contact with Jamie Eason? Jamie's only public response was that she couldn't comment. We know Jamie didn't have breast implants because of the cancer. We know most people had no idea who she was before this incident. WE KNOW that NO ONE knew WHO Brian Peeler was before Work Out, so if you're such a big Jamie and Brian fan, then maybe you should thank Bravo and Jackie Warner for introducing them to the world.
Hey, if you dig angry high school drop outs who alienate themselves from every person they meet including their wives, then more power to you. That's your right. All I am doing is pointing out another side. It's a completely valid side unless you think that I'm less than human and do not deserve an opinion? This isn't about Jackie. This isn't about Jamie Eason's breasts, this isn't about the choices being made by consenting free-willed adults who also signed releases to Bravo. BTW: none of them have complained. No one has forced them to stay; no one has forced you to watch. You are just looking for a way to rationalize your hate, find a safe place to express it and hope you can make fake online friends in the process. "Demented and Sad but Social" The Breakfast Club, that pretty much sums up this whole thing. Anytime anyone disagrees with you, it is immediately dismissed.
I have never implied that everyone is lying about their sexuality but I know for a fact that some are and have in the past. It happens and for you to deny it exists is pure ignorance. I have also never claimed that it is wrong to discuss Jackie. I think I've been very clear about where you begin to contradict yourselves. The issue remains the same: the double standards, talking out of both sides of your mouths and the complete refusal to see it from another point of view.
Let me get this straight. You want everyone to respect your First Amendment Right and they should but you want to SILENCE anyone who disagrees with you and more importantly you want to completely obliterate and to completely take away the First Amendment Right of Jackie Warner or anyone who makes a catty remark about a client at the gym, runs her business her way, has consenting adult relationships and who you think treated Brian Peeler unfairly? It happens everyday. Watch The Gym! They do the same things but maybe it will be okay because they give it a little trashiness?? The producers and Bravo are 100% in control of this thing. Not Jackie. She controls Sky Sport & Spa but Bravo decides who is cast on the show. Do you really really really believe that if something really really awful happened, they would have just looked the other way? No. They would have handled it immediately. You wouldn't even know about it. Jackie had to be given the green light to fire Brian Peeler. Nothing in the Universe is all of a sudden. There's always a chain of events leading up to something. Whether it's a random car accident or sudden death, some chain of events occurred prior to the incident. Brian Peeler has a great deal of chaos in his life and yet, you're more than happy to excuse it away. He's not accountable for anything? We're allowed to be complete [expletive deleted] because we were in a bad place in our life? Sorry but it doesn't really work that way. Everyone is accountable no matter what has happened to them. I'm sure the drunk driver who killed my sister will tell you that he was in a "bad" place in his life when it happened. So what? Hey, he is an attractive guy, very charming. Maybe you would like him? He’s also a murderer but hey, he was drunk; he was in a bad place. It’s cool.
Bottomline: You have no idea what was said in the Sky Sport office. You really don't. The only people who heard anything were the camera person, Lisa and Rich. Out of those people, only Lisa spoke out but what did she say anyway? I don't recall it being specific. We still don't know what was said. It doesn't matter to us though. It only matters to Jamie Eason and Rich.
I respect your 1st Amendment Right. Now I hope you'll understand that it also covers Bravo, Work Out, Jackie Warner and me.
A few stupid words said in a gym about a woman who wasn't a Sky Sport Client. (She was just there that night.) is NOT a big deal. It's only a big deal because you want to make it a big deal. You refuse to ask yourself why. It's a show. It has nothing to do with your personal life and yet, you want to take away someone's right to pursue their life, their way. That's the beauty of our Constitution. It protects all of us not just those we like.
You don't get to decide what is appropriate or inappropriate. That's what laws are for. There's a reason we have a Judicial System. It is a well developed, amazing process unique to the world and it protects YOU from being told that your life is not okay by a random mob. If Jackie hasn't broken any laws, if no one is forcing you to watch the show, then what exactly are you trying to accomplish other than trying to force your values and morals on a person you don't know. You may have those values and that's great but if someone isn't violating your space, your property and is neither harming you nor breaking the law; your idea of what values should be allowed protection under the 1st Amendment is totally and completely irrelevant. Take it to the highest court in the land and they'll tell you "don't watch" but if you continue to bully until you get your way, what you're saying is that our Constitution and our rights as individuals is meaningless. We really don't have the freedom to express ourselves unless it fits within the mandated moral code decided by an invisible group of people? I happen to think that is very scary.
If Brian's a victim, then I'm a bigger victim. If Jamie's a victim, I can trump that too. It's irrelevant to the argument.
