why he attacks you??? My kitty loves me. When he hurts he attacks

me. If someone new comes over he becomes jealous and attacks the

new person or else me. I talk to him before someone comes over so

he knows no reason to be jealous. It is also possible the Kitty is just

trying to play with you. Perhaps percieves you get some attention

kitty wants. Don't just give up. Kitties love to be loved. Talk to

kitty as well play along and the moment he gets too rough tell him it

is not okay. My kitty is 12 years old. I swear he understand me. This

makes it difficult because this means sometimes he is communicating

to me about something he is really angry about. Before we moved to

OR we had carpet that despite him being black haired and the carpet

being earthtones with some green<back to the eighties it was> and

we tripped over him way too much. So when the weather changes he

hurts a lot. When that happens he is one me like anything. Also,

with being 52 I sometimes forget his food was forgotten. Not going

to tell you what he eats. Anyway, he will come and tell me I forgot to

get it out of the microwave, AGAIN. He can say again really well.

Talk to the kitty as if it is equal and human and you may just become

amazed how much the kitty understands.

Kari Ana...I talk to him, I give him fresh salmon that he loves, I try to pet him and let him curl up on the couch with me like he does with Alex when she is home...He just hates me. We have had him for about 4 years and from the very beginning he just loved ALex. Any time we are cuddling on the couch or in bed he has always gotten right in between us and will only face Alex. He used to have free roaming rights in the house but if we have sex we have to put him in another room and shut the door because otherwise he stands outside our door and beats on it. So much for spontaneity. If we leave him in the room we us he jumps on the bed or he goes to Alex's pillow and has to be right by her head. He just started the jumping on me last year...just out of no where he pounces, then walks away. I think he thinks its funny. Anyway the catnip is out but I haven't seen him yet so I don't know if he will like it or not. Can I put it in salmon?

I brought my niece home for the night so I haven't caught up yet on the past posts. I was speaking out of town when that episode of Ellen aired and was livid. Alex watched it on DVR and the next day, guess whose office she went to visit? Sally wouldn't meet with her "because she wasn't from her district". Hell, we don't even live in Oklahoma. But we have friends who do, so we all had a letter writing party instead of our usual poker night and we sent 1,000 letters to her. (It was the same letter just sent in 1,000 envelopes.) See, people like her are what make others hate Christians. She is Jackie just on the polar opposite. When I was 20 and came out to my mom, she sent me to a 'pray the gay away' counselor. If I had all the money we spent on therapy...anyway, I went to a counselor who was a Christian and he so opened my eyes to being OK with who I am and he performed our committment ceremony back in '88. My mother still refuses to introduce us as girlfriends. She refers to us as roommates. One year I was so mad at her, I got her Christmas card list (because she sends out 160 letters every year) and she talks about all of us except for Alex. So, I wrote my own letter and exchanged it for hers and talked about Alex and how she was so glad I had found someone to love and who loved me. I wrote it like it was from her. I used her letter, I just changed the paragraph about Alex and I.

Just curious. I don't know how your "gift" works but are you picking up anything on what the Jackie/Bravo intent was/is and if they are going to ever address anything? Do you feel the show will stay on the air?

From my understanding it is not something you put in thier food. It is something you put on the floor, rug or blanket and they roll in it and may lick it off thier paws and the floor (not eat it directly in their food)etc. Girl, you sound desperate. Next thing you are going to ask is if your niece can hold it down with it's mouth open while you pour the nip directly down it's throat (the answer, by the way is no)!

I put it on the floor so we will see. He mostly ignores me or is sleeping in the window box in the kitchen. He just has this need to terrorize me every so often then he goes back to his business.

It may take a while for him to discover it, especially if he has never been exposed to it before. You may want to put it near him when you see him, or put it near a place you know he frequents so that you make sure he notices it. My friend's put it right near her cat and the cat started rolling in it right away, but her cat had been exposed ot nip before. Anyway, I hope it works for you. Thats why I prefer dogs over cats - I have met many mean cats in my day - those that attack or claw you for no reason, or those who just don't give a hoot about you unless they know you are allergic, then they want to be your best friend, pests! If I have a pet, I want it to think I am the best thing since sliced bread, not that I am "the slave unit that puts out the food and can be used as a scratching post"!

I was curious so went back to see when we started posting on this thread. Page 21, can you believe it? Now we are on page 150 and Bravo and Jackie still have not even acknowledged anything (the show was May 6th and it is now May 24th!). Sad, so very sad. Says much about them and their character. And now I have to do some serious thinking about what I should do. I have already given up on Work Out - to me it is a wash at this point - I have no desire to start watching again. But it is the Bravo thing that has me truly disappointed. I really thought that they would step up and at least address it! But if that is the way they are going to behave toward their loyal viewers, then I have to consider if I want to be one of their loyal viewers any longer. I have watched (and enjoyed) so many of their shows and am currently watching two and had planned on watching Project Runway this summer... But I don't know... I think I might give it a little more time. But not too much longer. I am weary of it and really, they have had an awful lot of time to do the right thing, it is not like we are asking them for a lot! If they don't care enough to be decent, then I really will take my "business" elsewhere! What doesn't Bravo GET about this anyway?!!!!!
