wow, now that is some real anger.....true reality, some one in your life must have hurt you very badly, at some point, to cause you to so shut down your heart...you really don't seem to trust folks much....you seem to think that so many folks on this board( and I expect other areas of your life are lying.....There are some really good folks on these boards. They share them selves, their various life experiences,struggles. and yes it is all filtered through each of their world views: that is what makes us precious and unique. Most of the time the sharing is a desire to reach out and find common ground, and a sense of connectedness: we need that: and thus, in the wisdom of our sharing make a contribution to the well being of another person. If some one says that they are a gay , lesbian or straight person fine, what ever. Tru reality, if I say that I am a lesbian, which I am, oh by the way, it has nothing to do with you. Yet you seem to take the gay thing so very personnally........Why.??... I was speechless when I read Sackers' post. My heart just so went out to him. When Pan shared her story, I was sick with compassion for her....Those two stories haunted me all day. I knew that I had been blessed, because it gave me the opportunity to give gratitude for my own excellant health yet again......I offer you this opportunity. Look for the positive thing in the posts, and the places that you can find some healing for your self . The only thing we have to give to another human being, is the work that we do on our selves.

I went to hear her when she came to Dallas and a police officer wrecked his motorcycle and was killed and she canceled her speech and went to the hospital and met with his family and his fellow officers and I was so moved by her act of kindness. That was very gracious of her and showed me more of her character than hearing her speak would have.

WOW, WW!! That was a wonderful response! Now, I am the one who is proud. Pan's story always moves me. I had a cousin who passed away from melanoma and she was only 41. My sister has non-malignant basil cell carcinoma and has spots removed ALL the time. It is very serious and I am grateful Pan is sharing her story. YOU GO PAN!

I don't understand the need of others to comment on someones story and call it untrue or fake or whatever when they don't even know the person. If you don't believe it, then ignore it. One of my very first questions on this board was way the level of anger. I still don't get that. And I can't figure it out now, I have to take a shower and be professional for a while.

Yes Football is the be all and end all of Texas. My son has been playing in full pads since he was 8 years old!! He really wants to play for University of Texas when he graduates from High School!

Whew! DrB I was wicked sick....my family freaked because I usually shake stuff off really quickly and get up and do what I need to do. Let's just say when I walked out of my bedroom today...there were lot's of fast food containers laying about.

He actually broke his neck...it was awful! (just a fluke injury though MommaK) he went thru 2 years of rehab and is 100% now.

OH MY GOSH! That is awful!!

It was scary....because we live in a small town with no trauma center..he had to be airlifted to a West Palm Beach Hospital. They didn't remove his helmet or shoulder pads for like 10 hours. It was a wild ride.
