Quote: In all fairness to Deenie, this was not a tradional trainer-client set up. It was presented as a life changing journey, where clients were hand picked to their trainers. Jackie was the one who set up the high expectations of the trainer client relationship. She would have to expect people to pay $7000 for a week long retreat. Jessie visited a home and did a refrigerator cleanse with his client. So yes I can understand where Deenie is upset.
She was asked to put her life and story out there flaws in all, in turn she was looking to take the first steps to a healthy lifestyle. Jackie pointed out she was morbidly obese and this was a serious issue with some of the heavier clients. I think for the dramatic effect she actually said life or death, when she met with the Doctor previously.

My response: Yes I know this is supposed to be a life changing journey, but anyone who is heavy and goes to a trainer can expect a life changing journey. It is NOT easy. Been there done that. Yes Jackie did match up the trainers with the clients, but maybe she made a mistake in her choice. I know that Jackie charges for this, but did she charge this group. Yes, Jessie did visit his client, he stated he wanted to see how he/she lived and what the refrigerator contained and he emptied it as I remember. Maybe that is not Greg's style.

I remember that Jackie did use the term morbidly obese.

I wrote this to tell her what I saw in that night's program regarding her. I also told her my story to encourage her. If she truly wants to loose weight and slim down I felt what I went thru might help her. (No I did not realize she was an actress although I did know she had been on another reality show.) I had hoped when she heard what I had been thru it would encourage her to dig in her heels and go for it totally.

Yes I understand that this program is predicated on drama and that they expect to put people's lives out there for all to see. But the main objective is still to work out, or at least I thought that. Maybe I was wrong and maybe I should not have shared my story to give her encouragement. It was meant with Deenie's best interests at heart. That was all.

Peeler and Jackie
They have both been out together as well March 30th "Tan for a Cause" an event in which Jackie sponsered and the GLAAD awards....

Semi-scripted....

They are probable friends as we speak or they both have respect for each other....

LOL!!! Check out Peeler's and Jackie's myspace and see for yourself if you think they are friends. They do still have contractual obligations for the show. This is a "reality show" and yes Bravo does manipulate situations for drama, but if it didn't happen than no manipulation could take place. Deenie is an actress and Natalie is a casting director. This is California:)

I think almost everyone assoicated with this show, trainers and clients alike are living in LA working as actors or actresses models or musicans. I am sure most have agents and go to casting calls. The trainers we see auditioned for Bravo to be featured and they decided who to show. Save it for the show speaks volumes, we are not wathcing a hidden camera show about the comings and goings of a gym. Even the meeting with the DVD rep, was set up. I am sure the real meeting included lawyers, accountants, managers and such.

I think Peeler and Jackie will forever be linked and be invited to the same events, they will have many pictures taken together.

I will admit to sometimes being fooled into watching the shows and watching unscripted drama, but 99% of it is set up. The firing of Peeler was real, the comments were real and probably too real for Bravo, hence us not knowing what was said or seeing it. I would imagine there are some contracts that are signed citing a period of confidentiality that a reality show participant can speak on the record of what happened. I would imagine the Bravo Peeler relationship is ongoing and that is why we really haven't read anything specific cited by him.
I don't know if there is much respect between Peeler and Jackie, I think they are stuck riding the same bus together.

Deenie has been on other reality shows, she is an actress.... Were did this blog come from???

Are you saying she was hired to add the drama on the show? I felt she was there to loose weight like the others. My blog was intended to help someone thru a difficult work out period and channel her energies to make it profitable for her.

I guess I totally misread the situation.
JCpalmsprings
I have checked out both of their pages and also know that they have done charity work together and been too events together. How can you be so sure that this is not something they both wanted??? Peeler seems to be doing his own thing... No one will know until the season is over.... And we may never know....

Deenie has lost 33 pounds and seems that Greg Plitt became her trainer and Natalie looks incredible. Not just a TV SHOW.

I too joined the board after last week's episode (it took five days for the account to be set up for some reason...perhaps because of the name I chose...lol). I have always found it odd that Bravo would willingly show such blatant sexual harassment. If Jackie were a man, I doubt that Bravo would have aired the behavior and even if they did, the media would be on it like white on rice.

I checked the Sky Sport Web site when the new season began, and I noticed that her Season 3 girlfriend, Brianna, was listed as a trainer (that must have been fun for Rebecca, Renessa, and Brianna all working together). I was on the site today and she is no longer listed. Maybe they broke up, who knows. I also saw that Jackie's girlfriend from the last season is one of her top MySpace friends...maybe they are back together?

In any case, Jackie had the audacity to get on the new trainer for dating a client, when she sleeps with her employees and hires her girlfriends. No one in that gym seems to mind, which is mind boggling. If it were a man, would they be so complicit and tolerant of sexual harassment in their workplace? If a man said his employees were a few coctails from sleeping with him, would that be okay? If I were Rebecca, I would have sued Jackie up the Sky Sport.

LOL first I LOVE your name! Second, I do believe Jackie and Mimi are back together....go check out their myspaces (I don't have the link).

To the others, where are you getting Deenie's and Andy's (whoever the eff he may be) blogs from? If Andy is the producer, that means nothing because if a network don't wantcha [expletive deleted] on their tv, they don't want her, so he can keep his head up her arse good on him, she'll only sit on him and flatten him to get to her next victim anyway.

Some People on here just keep going on and and on about the same things. Bravo is not going to make any statements that will give away story line, They are also not going to admit to fault (I still have some hope for some kind of statement tonight before the show).. They are also not going to fire Jackie??? The show is over it was taped months ago, you can't fire someone who no longer works for you... Most if not all Reality has a few story lines they want to follow. The interviews to get cast to be on those shows and the questionnaires are quite extensive.. They look for personalities, beliefs, and a multitude of characteristics that will play together and against each other. They just don't throw a bunch of people in a room and let them have at it.....

Just because she was on other shows, doesn't mean she's not trying to lose weight and wasn't a Sky Lab client. She sounds like she's an actress trying to get a break and she was hoping this was it to lose weight and move on with her career. Look at Gregg, he acts like a trainer and fails miserably but he's still acting, he wants to be a singer so he needs to vanish...go ... buh bye...

I really did not think that the Deenie situation was all that important until (suposedly) Deenie wrote that blog. Yes I heard Greg say he did not care for her. That really is no big deal.

I felt the difference in the way Jackie handled Greg and Peeler was awful. She was just waiting to fire Peeler and I suspect she waited until the filming of the show to do it, just for the drama. Her actions were just too canned. She most likely would have torn into him and been more vicious in her confrontation. Seems like her style. The comments between Jackie and Lisa were unforgivable. There is an old saying, "You can not take something back once you have said it." "Usually saying you are sorry about something just gives you license to repeat the action." I fully expect Peeler to be hired back if he wants the job. Regarding Deenie and Greg, Jackie just seemed to pat Greg on the head and agreed with everything he said.

I too do not think the producers thought this would cause all this chaos (Peeler and Peeler's client). Cancer is just too serious a subject. Whether Jackie and Lisa knew she had cancer or not making fun of people's bodies is subhuman. I am sure they knew who Peeler's client was because she had to sign a release to be on the program. If I remember correctly, she stated Peeler had asked her to come to the spa and work out during the program.

When I say I want her fired, I mean do NOT bring her back to workout or not bring the show back and just start a new one with Peeler who treats his clients with the utmost respect. You're right that Bravo is NOT going to address this in anyway shape or form, there will be NO statement before tonight's show so I don't think anyone should be holding their breath. I mean look at her and Gregg's blogs, they're smug, ignorant, rude and foolish, they're not apologizing to anyone. I say who cares if they let the show run it's course, just make sure she gets the axe (no renewal) and the rest of her cronies go with her.

Peeler IS doing his own thing, he is keeping his fingers crossed that things work out for him and wants us to do the same.

I think that a workout show with Peeler as a major inspiration is what we all neeed, maybe Jamie Eason that hot guy Greg (with 1 G) and maybe Rebecca would be great. Peeler is so sweet to his clients and I have never seen one piece of footage of him putting them down and if it existed believe me Warner would have had that out there pronto! I would like the others to disappear, Renessa is okay I guess, but I'm not too attached to her, I dislike the manly one and Jesse, well let's just leave it at that, lol. Gregg (with 2 G's) is a jerk and him and Jackie can go jump off a cliff for all I care. They're not nice people and anyone who can treat other human beings in that manner is no one I would want to watch and I don't!!

It will be interesting to see what does happen tonight, that is if I choose to watch it. I lately watch "Deion and Pilar" on another channel and then turn on Work Out for the second viewing if I want to watch it. Deion Sanders makes me laugh as crazy as he is. They did an episode about his older son and daughter dating. It was her first date and we watched Deion's reaction to all of it. Buying the clothes (must go from neck to covering her feet) to Deion greeting the boy with a baseball bat in his hand and stressing the rules. It was funny. She kept saying, (paraphrased) Dad it is harder for me to get a date because you are Deion Sanders, don't do that baseball bat thing.

The only thing Bravo really cares about is ratings, they are no different then any other network trying to run a profitable show. How many good shows over the years have you seen cancelled to only watch junk air year after year, or a sucessfull game show suddenly take over nearly an entire week of airtime.

We have signed the petitions, for those of us who contacted Gatorade saw our efforts rewarded promptly. Just how prompt, convinces me there was much more involvement on Jackie's behalf than has been stated.

The only thing left to do is not to tune in. I did admit I will probally watch the reunion show, but that will be it. It would be nice if there was a message at the beginning on tonights show, but I doubt there will be. We may see Peeler with the other trainers or Lisa, as it was written they filmed a lunch date scene. I do belive Peeler was not fired from Bravo, just Skysport.

For those who really want to see this show end, all you can do is not tune in. That is the only message Bravo will receive. I think alot of curiousity seekers will be watching and actually bump the ratings, but I will not be one, that is just my decsion. I know some people enjoy the stories of the skylabbers and the other trainers and may continue to tune in, and that is their choice. But the only way to end train wreck reality is not to tune in. Bravo has quite the bee's nest here, and it could tip in either direction.
I am sure from the network that has brought us, Kathy Griffin, Top Chef, Project Runway, Flipping Out, Housewives NYC and yes even Step up and Dance, they can replace this show will a truely entertaining alternative. They should have pride that they are not known for the ugly reality TV that some nameless networks air.

BTW, I have to say for the sheer number of posts that have be logged in since the show aired, I must say the number of well meaning and thoughtfull responses has been staggering.

Whatever Gregg promised was not in the area of promises Jackie made

to All of the Sky Lab participants. Isn't Gregg supposed to give these

special clients the life changing experience Jackie keeps speaking about?

I am so sick of this attitude that the person who is upset is somehow

unhinged when in FACT all Deenie asked for was what Jackie had

promised her. Why is it okay for Gregg to cancle workouts and to not

arrive on time, but Peeler gets fired for sticking up for his client? CAN

YOU SAY DOUBLE STANDARD?

QUOTE (swiss74 @ May 13, 2008 - 10:31 AM) *
Deenie,

I don't know the situation totally but I do have a few questions and statements. Did Greg promise to call you everyday or is it just because other trainers call their clients you expect to be called on a daily basis? Just because the others do you can not expect Greg to do that also.

When you saw Greg come off the elevator you were upset but had you approached him with a less hostile attitude you probably would have gotten further with him. You remember the old adage about catching more with honey than vinegar?

Have you ever watched Work Out before? If you have you know it is all about drama. I would have been suspicious if I was told Greg was not going to be there. Seems to me Lisa and the producers had it all set up to have you become upset, why would they call and tell you when you were in the car and on your way to the spa that Greg was not going to be there. Then they say "save it for the cameras." Had it been ligitmate, they would have had another trainer there to take over immediately. Obviously it was a set up on their parts because Greg was almost on the next elevator from the ground floor. You had enough time to really get upset. I would have not fallen for the set up. Think about it, you are called and told to be there, then in traffic you are told Greg will not be there, then you are told to save the hostility for the camera, you bound off the elevator and Lisa is all sympathetic and gushy, Greg comes off the elevator with a surprised expression on his face (expressing, what is going on here), you confront Greg, Lisa hussles you off. They played you like a harp and you fell for it lock, stock and barrel.

As for Greg not liking you, you can not like everyone and not everyone can like you. All you can expect from Greg is that he treats you civilly. If you felt you were not getting friendship from Greg, I would have gone to Jackie and asked her to change your trainer, if you are paying for these Lab sessions that is the least you can expect. Trainers do not have to shower you with love and affection. If you are getting this gratis you can not demand too much and can only make requests. Sometimes when you start out on the wrong foot it is better to regroup with another person.

Whining and moaning all the time during workouts is really annoying to the trainer and the others around you that are working out. You pull everyone down emotionally. You should have realized that when you work out with a trainer they will push you to your limits. That is the name of the game. When you work out there is a saying, "No Pain, No Gain."

When you work out with Jackie you do things her way, when you work out with any other trainer you do things their way. Had Jackie wanted you to do things totally her way, she would be training you all the time. They are the experts and maybe Greg has ways of doing things or is trying to do things that will be of more value to you because of your health. You have to follow their guidance, otherwise you would not have gone to Sky Sport and Lab.

I have no emotional involvement here just stating things as I saw them. I had a personal trainer, he never called me, just expected me to be there on time and do cardio's until he felt I was warmed up. He was not always on time. I did not like him at all and I don't think he really liked me, we gutted it thru. I did things that I did not think I could do and toughed it though those exercises. I got sick a few times and had to go to the wash room. It was not totally a pleasant experience but I was not there for fun and games, I was there to loose weight and feel better. It worked and I was happy in the end with the results. During the work out program I signed up for, I had broken toes and a sprained ankle. We worked around that taped ankle and all, but never cut back on the exercises. Working out is never easy when you are overweight and out of condition. Even people who are the correct weight and out of condition have a difficult time working out.

When I went to the gym for the first time, I really did not know what to expect except that I would be working out. I did not expect it to be a tea party. I expected it would be hard physical work and that I would be totally worn out after each session. My trainer had a complete exercise program for me and he introduced me to new exercises each time I went. I worked out at home on my own between each sessions with my trainer. My trainer got me to where I wanted to be and I will be eternally greatful. We never did really like each other, but he was happy with my results and told me so, he also told me he did not think I would get it all accomplished but I did and for that he was happy for me. I still go to the gym and work out and I still push myself so I stay in shape. Got to keep those endorphins flowing.

I am not meaning to sound hostile towards you, I am stating only what I saw and what happened to me. I feel you were not realistic in your expectations. If no one (the one who approached you to do this, Lab) explained this to you then they were wrong, if they did not explain it all to you and you did not ask then you were wrong.

Working out is not a quick fix to a problem it is a continuing process. I just kept thinking how long it took me to get out of shape and said to myself it is going to be a hard row to hoe to get back into shape. Good luck on your quest, just depend more on yourself to do the work. Do what I did as an incentive, I went out and bought a very very expensive dress and hung it in the middle of my kitchen in a plastic bag. My goal was to get into that dress without splitting a seam. I did it. I put that dress on one day and went to the gym and when my trainer spotted me...

Okay, if you all say okay I will go to Yahoogroups and start a group

called

Work_Out_NOT. Or we can go with WO-No-You-Didn't. Or

Sky_Lab-Without-JW. These are just three ideas. I am sure

someone out there has some better ideas so send them to me.

Also, what rules do we want in regards to if people can just join

or do we want people looking at who joins which just means looking

at Yahoo profile. Anyone wish to be a Moderator?

With Gatorade/propel pulling out of the show, I doubt the show or JW will be back. Everyone in the Fitness Industry knows who Jamie is and would never think of acting like JW did, on or off camera. She my friends has made her bed... My best friend owns a gym and most of his trainers and clients are talking about her and several of the plot lines...

Kari Ana

I guess you did not approve of what I wrote either about Deenie, but I think I dealt with that in a later blog. Since I have been informed she is an actress, I now contribute everything she did to acting for the sake of drama. I have heard she has lost weight on the program.

Did Jackie actually promise that the trainers would call the clients everyday. I heard her promise that there is a special bond between trainer and client but I did not see that was meant to mean they would become best friends.

I too feel the double standard "The Gregg/Peeler" double standard is terribly wrong. We all saw Peeler's firing coming since season one, Jackie just needed what she considered the right moment.

We all forgot that the show was filmed last fall/late fall. Maybe had we remembered that, none of us would have gotten too excited about much of it, except for the cracks by Jackie and Lisa about the implants.
JCpalmsprings
Look at Skylab's website Renesse and some of the other trainers are gone. They were probably there just for the show.
My friend who owns a small GYM only employs 2 trainers the other 6 come with their clients who are members and pay an extra fee on top of what the client annual membership is... He has also canceled some memberships and asked clients and trainers not to return...

Soo...PEELER BUILT.... cool.gif

I will be watching tonight to see what happens with Peeler as soon as I know I will not continue to watch the show.....

I would agree that I think the first and foremost issue for Bravo at this point is damage controll. I think when they read the backlash from the trainers blogs they told the other trainers, Gregg P. Rebecca, Jessie and Renessa not to blog this week. Jessie and Rebecca usually post the longest blogs and usually pretty quickly after a show aired, so not to see one from them after such an explosive episode makes me think they are following orders.

Let's face it Jackie Warner was very sucessfull before the show but since the show debuted she became famous. Her product line also grew as each season aired. This was an opptunity of a lifetime to take her from a well known trainer in LA and make her a household name around the country. It's all risk and reward. The rewards are great if you can manage it properly, but the risk is equally as great. I would bet calender sales and DVD sales will suffer and the tabliod stories will begin to pop up pretty quick.

Again she made her bed and her choices along the way, and I don't feel that she has been victimized at all. You can't expect the average person to fork over hard worked money to make a millionaire richer and feel you are above reproach.

In all honesty, we need to NOT watch tonight. Let the ratings do the job for us.....the ratings slide, the show's over.....after all Blow Out's been gone for how long now?

Send the message...change the channel...the show will be over.

I loved Blowout! Jonathan protected his stylist and his product. He was very concerned about his salons and the clientèle. He was the one that decided 2 seasons were enough so he could focus on his bussiness....

This is probable the last year of the show anyway.... Bravo shows never last that long as it is....

I found Jessie's webiste. www.jessebrune.com check out the contact page, how many trainers in your gym have management,as well as represenatation- for endorsments as well as television and a publicist.

Only in LA

Most everyone on this show is probally one pilot or script away from not being a trainer, it's like the waiter and waitresses in NYC, all working between auditons.

Makes me laugh at my small world I live in.

Dear *******,

We thank you for contacting us and sharing your concerns about our SOYJOY commercial airing on the TV show Workout.
We have asked Bravo not to air our SOYJOY commercials on Workout until we have had the opportunity to view the episode in question. As an advertiser, we select networks which appeal to a varying group of people but do not have the opportunity to view individual TV episodes prior to their airdates. We have requested a copy of the episode from Bravo and will review it this week.

We greatly value what you have to say and appreciate your taking the time to share your concerns with us. As a valued SOYJOY consumer, we would like to send you some free SOYJOY samples. If you are interested in a free sample, please reply to this email with your mailing address.

Is everyone aware that GLAAD is airing their Award show on Bravo and Jackie is up for a couple of awards as an outstanding role model for the GLBT community. They have also honored her on several occasions in the past.
As a member of the community I am deeply offended by this. If you are offended as well please write too entertainment@glaad.org
For me she is not a role model. I would encourage everyone to add the links to the press sites that are on here including the one referring to her DUI and Assault, Reference both episodes, her rant on Olivia cruise line, her on-board behavior while in a committed relationship, her sexual harassing of employees and her rude comments on Jamie a cancer survivor....

Second of all, Jackie was the one who was doing the trash talking and Lisa chimed in. If you go to Bravo's site, she completely denies ever saying anything. She is extremely unprofessional. She never even acknowledged, not during or after the incident. That was my first and last time to ever train there. I only went on the show as a favor to Brian Peeler. To say that she didn't know who I was seems obsurd since I had to sign off to even appear on the show. I do not have a trainer and haven't had one years. It is really unfortunate that they used that incident to fire Peeler.

Thank you to those who have shown their support on the site and on my myspace. I really appreciate it!

Excuse me, did you read Deenie's blog? That makes it pretty clear

that no matter what Deenies chosen profession, that encounter with

Gregg was real. As far as your repitious comments, I simply do not

have any idea how anyone can be so cruel to someone with a weight

problem. It is difficult for everyong who has a few extra pounds. It

is unfair for people to simply believe the worst of Deenie just because

she is overweight. I don't really care to read your justifications for

cruelty and rudeness.

I am stunned at your turnaround. Why does it matter that Deenie is

an actress? She was treated badly. Just as I believe a hooker with

20/20 eyesight is a good eye witness, an overwieght person who is

being given the opportunity for diet food and exercise is still an

overwieght person. Even being an actress, she doesn't have so much

money that she could afford the diet food that she is now being given.

I am also worried about Deenie considering what she says is going to

happen tonight at the retreat. So what if she has been on other

shows? It makes no sense that her career and being on some shows

somehow makes what happened okay!!!!

So now this entire thing is okay. Why? Because Deenie is an actress

and has behaviors that are not attrative. So this makes what happened

to Deenie okay? I don't think so. Neither is the Peeler/Jackie thing

okay. Why have you really decided to change your attitude about this

situation?

No some of us are still upset of the following..

1. The treatment of overweight people. That why they are their.

2. The Portrayal of Gays and Lesbians on TV.

3. Those who have surgery (cosmetic or to fix from an illness)

4. Harassment in the work place.

5. Sexual harassment in the work place.

6. Poor programming for the sake of ratings and revinue...

or at least that is why I am upset...
Has anyone seen my missing Testicle due to cancer....
Or can you tell the last GYM I was at not to whisper and look in my direction..... Thank God I have a friend who owns one and I also have a PVT gym at home... As for weight I gained (15LBS) recovering and it is damn hard to take off.

Kari I can't support a Yahoo group! Bravo is looking at these Boards and so is Jackie and the Fitness Community....
