Whatever Gregg promised was not in the area of promises Jackie made
to All of the Sky Lab participants. Isn't Gregg supposed to give these
special clients the life changing experience Jackie keeps speaking about?
I am so sick of this attitude that the person who is upset is somehow
unhinged when in FACT all Deenie asked for was what Jackie had
promised her. Why is it okay for Gregg to cancle workouts and to not
arrive on time, but Peeler gets fired for sticking up for his client? CAN
YOU SAY DOUBLE STANDARD?

Deenie,
I don't know the situation totally but I do have a few questions and statements. Did Greg promise to call you everyday or is it just because other trainers call their clients you expect to be called on a daily basis? Just because the others do you can not expect Greg to do that also.
When you saw Greg come off the elevator you were upset but had you approached him with a less hostile attitude you probably would have gotten further with him. You remember the old adage about catching more with honey than vinegar?
Have you ever watched Work Out before? If you have you know it is all about drama. I would have been suspicious if I was told Greg was not going to be there. Seems to me Lisa and the producers had it all set up to have you become upset, why would they call and tell you when you were in the car and on your way to the spa that Greg was not going to be there. Then they say "save it for the cameras." Had it been ligitmate, they would have had another trainer there to take over immediately. Obviously it was a set up on their parts because Greg was almost on the next elevator from the ground floor. You had enough time to really get upset. I would have not fallen for the set up. Think about it, you are called and told to be there, then in traffic you are told Greg will not be there, then you are told to save the hostility for the camera, you bound off the elevator and Lisa is all sympathetic and gushy, Greg comes off the elevator with a surprised expression on his face (expressing, what is going on here), you confront Greg, Lisa hussles you off. They played you like a harp and you fell for it lock, stock and barrel.
As for Greg not liking you, you can not like everyone and not everyone can like you. All you can expect from Greg is that he treats you civilly. If you felt you were not getting friendship from Greg, I would have gone to Jackie and asked her to change your trainer, if you are paying for these Lab sessions that is the least you can expect. Trainers do not have to shower you with love and affection. If you are getting this gratis you can not demand too much and can only make requests. Sometimes when you start out on the wrong foot it is better to regroup with another person.
Whining and moaning all the time during workouts is really annoying to the trainer and the others around you that are working out. You pull everyone down emotionally. You should have realized that when you work out with a trainer they will push you to your limits. That is the name of the game. When you work out there is a saying, "No Pain, No Gain."
When you work out with Jackie you do things her way, when you work out with any other trainer you do things their way. Had Jackie wanted you to do things totally her way, she would be training you all the time. They are the experts and maybe Greg has ways of doing things or is trying to do things that will be of more value to you because of your health. You have to follow their guidance, otherwise you would not have gone to Sky Sport and Lab.
I have no emotional involvement here just stating things as I saw them. I had a personal trainer, he never called me, just expected me to be there on time and do cardio's until he felt I was warmed up. He was not always on time. I did not like him at all and I don't think he really liked me, we gutted it thru. I did things that I did not think I could do and toughed it though those exercises. I got sick a few times and had to go to the wash room. It was not totally a pleasant experience but I was not there for fun and games, I was there to loose weight and feel better. It worked and I was happy in the end with the results. During the work out program I signed up for, I had broken toes and a sprained ankle. We worked around that taped ankle and all, but never cut back on the exercises. Working out is never easy when you are overweight and out of condition. Even people who are the correct weight and out of condition have a difficult time working out.
When I went to the gym for the first time, I really did not know what to expect except that I would be working out. I did not expect it to be a tea party. I expected it would be hard physical work and that I would be totally worn out after each session. My trainer had a complete exercise program for me and he introduced me to new exercises each time I went. I worked out at home on my own between each sessions with my trainer. My trainer got me to where I wanted to be and I will be eternally greatful. We never did really like each other, but he was happy with my results and told me so, he also told me he did not think I would get it all accomplished but I did and for that he was happy for me. I still go to the gym and work out and I still push myself so I stay in shape. Got to keep those endorphins flowing.
I am not meaning to sound hostile towards you, I am stating only what I saw and what happened to me. I feel you were not realistic in your expectations. If no one (the one who approached you to do this, Lab) explained this to you then they were wrong, if they did not explain it all to you and you did not ask then you were wrong.
Working out is not a quick fix to a problem it is a continuing process. I just kept thinking how long it took me to get out of shape and said to myself it is going to be a hard row to hoe to get back into shape. Good luck on your quest, just depend more on yourself to do the work. Do what I did as an incentive, I went out and bought a very very expensive dress and hung it in the middle of my kitchen in a plastic bag. My goal was to get into that dress without splitting a seam. I did it. I put that dress on one day and went to the gym and when my trainer spotted me...
