The reason Deenie said that about Her Journey etc was because Gregg's
first response to her about his being late was something like, This is your
journey, I can't do this for you. He immediately changed the reason for
his being late to Deenie wanting attention. He manipulated her and Lisa
helped with telling Gregg something about how Deenie needed the love.
This entire situation was mishandled, by the producers because they
set it up. It is time to see the truth. Gregg is a jerk. He is late, he
is always canceling appointments and not calling her back. He has made
it seem she is leaning on him and in truth, he is not living up to what
was promised Deenie would get by Jackie. I cannot understand how
anyone can miss the truth of this. According to Deenie's blog, Gregg
had actually CANCELED yet another work out session with Deenie only
he hadn't even told her. The Producers called her to be sure she was
coming in, and the told her that Gregg had canceled. I would not be
surprised if she didn't think that they wanted her there for drama but
also because Gregg was someone they wanted to be outed. Who
knows.
Why they showed us this stuff is beyond me. Makes me wonder what
is really going on with Bravo and NBC. I fault both of them. I wish I
didn't love Medium so much.

I have my television weakness also.

I wasn't judging Deenie for her size at all. I really wasn't. Hmmmm.... let me see if I can clarify...
--To me, Deenie's outburst was too much. I'm not saying she wasn't justified in her irritation with a late or absent trainer, but her blabbering on about "my life, my journey" and all the emotional drama was out of line. Deenie's reaction alone is what made me question her stability. It had nothing to do with her size or who she may be on a daily basis and now that I've read her blog and know that she's an "actress;" I'm not really surprised by the drama. But still, what some people call drama and emotion can easily be defined as a mood disorder in my book.

Fine, be emotional, be passionate but know when and where it's appropriate.
--Deenie does make excuses. I just read her blog and everything was a rationalization and justification for what she did. Even her blog was emotional. I think it would be very difficult to train her. We all make excuses for various things in our lives, but hers are clearly related to food and exercising. Her needs go beyond just working out. I don't see her as 'fat and lonely' at all. I suspect she has many friends but I also get the feeling that Deenie needs to be the center of attention and that she needs alot of stroking. An emotionally independent person would not feel as rejected and wounded as Deenie did about Gregg's behavior. Deenie made the issue with Gregg very personal and it wasn't. Gregg was wrong for being late, etc but it had nothing to do with Deenie on any sort of personal level.
--Now this brings me to Gregg. Let's be real; Gregg should not be training Deenie or any out of shape, over-weight or obese person. He's an athlete's trainer. Gregg has been an athlete his entire life and went to college on a full athletic scholarship. Unless he's had some serious training regarding psychological issues relating to food, self-esteem, etc, he's not going to get it. The producers know this, Jackie knows this and that's exactly why they keep giving Gregg the most over-weight clients! He hates it, they get upset and yippee skippee do, Bravo gets their conflict.
--As far as Gregg keeping Deenie at arm's length... that doesn't have anything to do with Deenie's size. That's just a generalization regarding anyone in a profession where you must work close to or even touch a client. It should never get too personal or it just gets ookie. I don't think I need to go in depth.... Deenie wanted to emotionally lean on Gregg. She definitely wanted more of his attention (not in a romantic way) and it has nothing to do with her size. There are plenty of skinny, pretty girls who behave the same way. But trainers can't get that involved with their clients. Forget the boundary thing, it's also just a time management thing. I realize that we've seen very little of Deenie but I get the feeling she's someone who can just wear you out.
yeah yeah yeah... the other trainers (at least Jesse) spend more time with and call their SkyLab clients but they also get a lot more camera time when they do. I don't think it would be the same away from the cameras. I don't know of any program in any field where you're allowed to call your trainer anytime 24/7 without being charged for it! People have their own lives and unless you're on your way to the olympics and expected to win a gold medal and I'm your coach, don't call me unless it's scheduled and I'm being paid. If Jackie wants her trainers to be life coaches as well, then those hours and the total number allowed per week better be included in the contract.... I know that may sound harsh but there have to be clear lines otherwise people will just take advantage of it.... not everyone but Deenie has some sort serious entitlement thing going there...
Oh, yeah. Gregg should have been on time but it should have never turned into this drama....
Deenie needs to take a step back and get a sense of just how many people live in this world. Her "ME" thing is almost as big as Jackie's....
Alright-enough about Deenie. I have a question about Peeler but this post is already too long... OY!
