[b]Well....It feels rude........doesn't it???

In the first instance? Not so much. It was opinion. In the last one, though? Yours? I think it was blatantly intentional.

Just trying to make a point as I'm the other person who mentioned editing shmediting and was reactionary.....Well YEAH..I reacted!!!

I didn't mention you, specifically, though. You did. And I still say the response was overreactionary, because I don't think the original context was inflammatory, just opinionated.

rude to me is all...Nuff said...I'm over it....We'll fight like guys..dust the dust off and shake hands.....Guys got it going on!!

Indeed. I'm over it too, and was just stating my opinion. Sorry if that brassed you off. I have a hard time letting things go when they brass me off, so you probably understand. Is that fighting like a guy or a girl? I'm not so sure these days ...

So just because she did that to you, you felt the need to sink down to an even more childish level? Your logic does not resemble our Earth logic.

Yeah, we get that it seemed rude to you, but you should of been the bigger person and just let it go, but you didn't and now you come off as being the childish one, not brillke.

Eh, argueing online is so passe and done.

Anyone know where I could find this video? Are all the stylist's videos available???
I'll start searching the site, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Queenie

Try this link it is his myspace page! He has the video on there! I myself thought it was great! LOL So did my Fiance and he is usually not into that kind of stuff! I think it is called haircuts in the summertime!

http://www.myspace.com/benmollin

I don't care what anyone else has to say I believe he is very very talented and it would be wonderful to have him as my hairdresser! Maybe it is just me but I want someone who can relate with me and not act like they are better then me! Since the show has been on I have sent a couple messages and comments to Ben on myspace and he is awsome! He has responded to everyone of them and very fast! That shows me he really cares about people and not just himself!!!!! With that said GO BEN!

To be honest, I've never really understood the "I'm going to use your own tactic against you, so I can give you a taste of your own medicine" method of debate.

I, for one, am trying to let it go. I mean, there are far more important things in life to deal with than an argument on the internet, right?

Exactly. Now, I don't mean to be crass (my nephew is developmentally disabled, after all), but there are times when I agree with the following statement:

I'm sure everyone was a little put off by Ben making the final! All season his styles have been plain and unimaginative!! Off the top of my head I can recount how confused he was with most of the challenges, that up-doo for Vanessa Williams which looked like she had slept it off, the 20's style with the limp pin curls, not being able to work with chemicals effectively, having no clue about ethnic hair, and finally lucking out with the rock style to make the final!! He doesn't come close to the ability of the people who were auf'd like Tabatha, Tyson, Danna, and even Dr. B.!! This is a freakin' joke and he should be thanking "his Almighty" (whomever) that he lucked out like this!! What a disgrace!! Tabatha made the season and deserved that check!! She was shear genius for most of the challenges!!

well said! i don't understand the love for ben? sure he's prolly cool but his hairstyling is wack!

No offense taken here, I actually quite like that saying myself as it gets the point across quite nicely. Some people just like taking out their anger on people who they only talk to online, I guess it makes them feel better to act the child and be ugly towards others online. It's not needed, but it happens and it makes me laugh every single time because some people can truly be pathetic.

Another favorite saying: "Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one."

The largest ego on that set is Sally, and she drives me nutz.

Her technique when showing "her" signature cut was sloppy and inaccurate. Her attitude was the pits. Asking "is this the first time you've sectioned hair" when her own sections sucked is just lame and catty. She can't make up her mind if she likes bold or "safe".

She's far too opinionated for a one cut wonder. I for one wouldn't even pay $30 USD for her to cut my hair, let alone the $600 she claims to charge.
ack
Sally does have a big ego. Rene and Jaclyn are the ones I like the most. But boy did Sally look like Shane from The L word on the reunion show!

I'll have to watch it again because I didn't think Anthony was out of line, and he didn't say Evangelin belonged in a mental institution. I thought he was making little silly jokes - which were far more tame than anything Tabatha, Boogie or the judges ever said.

I don't think anyone disrespected Ben. The body of his work also makes me believe that he is in the finals because of luck. More talented people were elliminated. He seems like a level-headed and cool guy, but some of the others were better.

I have found the judges to be a little inconsistent. They tell the stylists to take risks and be strong with their clients, but slam them when they do.

I think Daisy will win, but I really like Anthony. Out of the three left, Daisy has been the most consistently good.

It bothered me..I said it..SO?????
Why should I let it go????
You don't see to be able to either.

Let someone yada yada yada you and blah blah blah you and see how you like it????

I could go on and on and on and argue my point and try and explain myself and past history and all that rot and also..how this is so mild and tame compared to some of the stuff I have seen written here by the very parties themselves involved including hate.... vitriol and snark and why THAT didn't offend you and also how you seem to admire childish behavior as per Tabitha ...So why would this bother you?????

OH maybe I should say..I don't give a F*CK what peeps think I can be rude to whomever I like cause I'm such a bad arse beeeyatch and they are all weasels and evil elves????
Would that gain me some respect and 10 grand maybe???

AND how someone saying yada yada yada to my post specifically and to my words specifically wouldn't be seen as being directed specifically to me no matter how you word it ..............
(Did I say specifically enough????) and why aren't I allowed to express that ...BUT....NO I won't !!!!

We haven't had a BIG fight on this board in a LONG time...We're about due laugh.gif

All I will say is :
This is the LAST word about this subject from me.

I try real hard not to get into these kinds of fights and have done pretty well so far.
One of the peeps involved even edited my posts in the past to make me look bad.

So yeah... I might be a bit touchy..
I do apologize for being a bit beeyatchy right now but ya' know it does happen I'm only human and even Anthony the Saint had a bad day.

It's not gonna change anyone's minds to keep this going and will do no good.

Anyone else comments on it I will NOT respond.
Here's a beer..Cheers... Slainte'..Salute and have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Can't get the beer pic up..It was frosty and cold!!!

I thought I explained myself but if you still feel I was rude, I apologize. OK?

I have read every reply to this and please tell me you dont think Im the Elizabeth in conversation.

I will say this, you say one thing but do another. You want sunshine and daisys with free puppies for all on one hand yet on the other you do a post like this one. I guess we all do at times. As you said, we are human.

BTW, you proved my point yet again with the above comment.

"One of the peeps involved even edited my posts in the past to make me look bad."

Please explain this statement. Since it is you and I "fighting" I guess, do you mean I edited your post?

Well, looks like we finally had some board drama this week on this board. Yippee. I love the show and the boards might be a bit slow but I found them interesting without the drama.

Kris, feel free to PM me if you want or we can go on like nuttin happened. Its all good,

Unless she was referring to me, although I don't remember "editing schmediting" (sorry, I couldn't resist, since this whole flap developed over an argument about editing anyway) anyone's post, let alone to make anyone look bad. I barely post here, and I think I've been pretty benign, actually, especially compared to past debates on other B-boards.

She's refereing to the Rosie Elizabeth arguement that happened recently on The View and she's calling me Elizabeth because of my "Go Romans! Go!" comment when she was babbling on about the Romans throwing the Christians to the lions as a metaphor for the Tab and Tyson drama.

Evening SPS,
Sent you a PM about a week or so ago. Check it out.

So we are down to 3. I can not say who is going to win this but it has been a good show. I really have liked all of them.

As for the View, I am neither a Rosie or an Elizabeth. Find myself more the Barbara W. Always putting out the fights. lol

Hope all is well in the Magic Kingdom. Just found this funny new game and think of you everytime I play it. I am up to 18 cookies per sheet.
And no, I do not think you look like the chef in this game. I just wonder how many you could cut out. You are the pro.!!

Well,

THe school year is over biggrin.gif , and all I have left is a day or two of "teacher-stuff" next week. mad.gif

I popped into the board to see I forgot to log out the last time I was here - which was almost a week ago - and I hope I didn't confuse anyone who thought I was really here on the board. It was in "thought" only. blush.gif

I got me a cup of java and started to scroll a little just in time to see that I needed to drop off the shaker. Looks like it could have been used overnight. sad.gif

Just to put my sheckle into the opinion pot, I think I'm pulling for Anthony only because I like his accent. Lame reason, I know, but I love to hear him talk wub.gif . He did get a little "spicey" with his accent during the reunion, though.

I think Anthony may have won because I saw a photo of him and Roy Teeluck together a an NYC personal appearance in WWD a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't the winner get a mentorship with Roy? Hmmm...

Can we keep politics and Rosie off this board. I am neither a Republican or a Democrat and in all truthfullness a GDI. Neither party membership in my opinion is all that wonderful. Both have made monumental mistakes when they were in power. I am sure you will have to agree with me on that. Just think back. As for Rosie, I like her as a comedian but I feel none of the celebrities should be using their position to further their political views. I inherently believe in the American people and their right to choose after thinking a situation through and then going to vote their conscience when it comes down to it. Maybe my position is naive but that is just how I see it. I won't speak to the war but I will speak to the middle east, I feel that as long as the population over there cling to their tribal views there will never be peace there. It is a problem that we here faced in the United States many years ago. Ex: first some of the colonists thought of themselves as Purtains, then they after a period of time became the people of Massachusetts, and then they became part of a new Country, the United States. It is an evolutionary process. Until that happens over there we will see flare ups that undermind the safety of the rest of the world. The Christians and the Muslims have been going at it since the Crusades. Nothing is new under the sun. We went through the hostage debacle over there during the Carter Administration. We had the FIRST amnesty for illegal aliens under Reagan, we were told it would never happen again. We had Watergate under Nixon. We had Monica under Clinton? We had Viet Nam under Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon. Do you remember the Korean Military Action under Truman back in the 50's? Or do you remember the Second World War under the Roosevelt and Truman watchs? Some still believe Roosevelt let the bombing of Hawaii happen because he knew we would be in the war sooner or later and that was his excuse to get us in on December 7, 1941. The lend lease program with Britain could not go on forever. There were many who felt we should not become involved in WW2. We have had all presidents avoiding dealing with our borders. Need I go on? In my humble opinion if you put them all in a brown paper bag and shook them up they all would be equal. Here now I have been reduced to citing exmples of our political errors on both sides of the political isle.

Do any of you remember the rationing during the Second World War? Do you remember sending food to England during WW2. Do you remember women using eye brow pencil to draw seam lines on the backs of their legs because all the nylon went to making parachutes? Do you remember women working in heavy industry to produce the war machine for the WW2? Do you remember Rosie the Riveter? Do you remember the gas rationing during the war? Do you remember Victory Gardens?

Most of you are too young to remember two thirds of the situations I have stated here but they happened. To me Viet Nam was the saddest because of what some of the US population did when the men returned from Viet Nam. You want a political disgrace to talk about that was it. What was done to returning soldiers was terrible. That was our biggest black eye ever.

Most of us that grew up during those times learned one lesson and that was to support the troops and the office of the president. We may have dissagreed with some of the policies but we held fast to supporting our troops.

Swiss, grrl, you know I love you, but in all honesty, I don't think anyone was really bringing "politics" to the table. We were talking about Rosie and Elisabeth, who are simply two people on a television show. Sure, it's a tv show that discusses politics among other things, but we weren't focusing on their political beliefs, just their argumentative styles. To be honest, I think you just spoke more about politics in that one post than any of us has all season.

I, for one, have no problem with leaving politics under the table, though. It's never been a topic that's interested me in general, and I certainly don't feel it belongs on a message board dedicated to a show about haircuts, lol!

Tyson was the one who openly placed Tabitha to the end of the line to

give himself a bit of an edge. It was Tabitha who gave the victorian look

which gave Tyson another win. I think the two of them were so

interested in beating each other that they lost it all. About Paul Jean, he

made more mistakes than all of those extentions. He made a trashing

statement of Micheal's the store in the first elimination challenge, and he

also made a very rude comment to Rene Fris. He sealed his fate. I am

sure a few of the other styles should have gone that day. You don't

trash the help on a reality show, nor do you trash a sponsor. Paul Jean

did both. Once must realize to disrespect the sponsor or the mentor is

to go home.

Yeah right; "real!" Real Bad!! lol!! We aren't "keen" on Tabatha because of her animous towards Tyson I don't think!! She was truly talented and let her emotions get the best of her!! I was no fan of Tyson!! His ego was larger than his weasley little body!! Even when confronted by all the other stylists saying they felt the same, he couldn't accept it!! He just went into some schpeel that they fell right into his hands concentrating and "talking" about him!! What a doofus!!

Paul Jean probably was one of the best, but he cut his own throat with that horrid doo with mismatched extentions!! I knew he was history and nothing could save him!! Ben is obviously the luckiest man in the world!! He totally cruised under the radar just getting by and wound up in the final!! I'm as disgusted as I've ever been for these "Top" productions, but sometimes that's all it takes!! Poor Tabatha, Paul Jean, and Danna who were 10 times better than he'll ever be!! How did he even make the show?? I'm still appalled and hope Anthony pulls it out!! He deserves it, but I can live with Miss Gabby!!

You are so correct!! That post reminded me of a scene in a tv show I liked called "Picket Fences" in the '90's!! The shiester (sp) defense attorney asked for a moment of silence for some reason, then started yacking right in the middle of it!! lol!! That was a heavy post; especially for a message board dealing with hair!! lol!! I used to love politics, but during the Clinton years I grew to hate Republicans so much, my blood would just boil over their hypocracy, pettiness, and total disregard for why they were sent to DC to serve!! It seems the party is more inclined to try and consolidate their power rather than do the right thing!! After 2004 I gave up altogether!! If the American people can be swayed, tricked, or to be made fearfull so easily, we deserve what we get!! They redeemed themselves a little in 2006, but Bushie still has some support; I can't imagine how or why!! If I live long enough to make 2008, maybe we'll come all the way back to civility in Congress, but I doubt it!! The seeds of contempt have produced roots so deep, it may not be possible in any of our lifetimes!! Good luck people!!

I know I put forth a long list of situations, I did it to show the futility of discussing politics. In one post political views were stated while in others it was dealing with the style of arguments. I think I state situations that happened during different presidential watches. I agree it can be intrepreted as a political discussion. I think I was just trying to state the futility...I too as you state "I, for one, have no problem with leaving politics under the table, though. Peal Jean could have been one of the most interesting "characters" on the show, and he may have even showcased some interesting looks had he been given a few more episodes, but much like Ken on the first season of Top Chef, he shot himself in the foot by letting his ego and his pride stand before whatever talent he might have.

I too agree that Paul Jean could have been one of the most interesting characters on the program had he not shot off his mouth. Oh the egos on that program. Anyone of them could have been eliminated on that first episode. I agree with Jaclyn that he really could style hair. Dr. Boogie could have been eliminated when asked to choose his model and he chose Fries. (Can't remember his first name.) To say this group has not been entertaining would be an understatement.

You're talking about Rene Fris and Boogie's flirting with him on camera!! In today's world, that is considered sexual herassment!! lol!! I've seen people sued for less!! I remember back when I was a kid of 22, I came into my office to pick up my check; was off that day!! I was dressed in tennis attire and back in the 70's and 80's, you were probably considered running around naked the shorts were cut so high!! An idiot secretary asked aloud was I wearing stockings; I had pretty nice legs and was totally hairless due to Indian blood in my family!! My boss came out and bent down looking very closely; almost diving into my crotch and actually touched my legs!! Of course I let it go, but if anything happened like that today, I'd be sitting pretty!! lol!!

The first post asked whether we were happy with the fan-favorite choice. I understand why Tabatha has elicited extreme (both negative and positive) reactions among viewers. She was my favorite, although I was disappointed that she focused so intensely on Tyson and understood why the judges eliminated her in that episode.

After seeing the reunion show, I developed a somewhat different view of Tabatha's personality. Thanks to different editing, I saw that in the argument with Evangelin, many of the stylists (not just Danna) had been arguing with her at length, and finally, Tabatha seemed to jump in as a spokesperson for everyone to put an end to the situation. And in the reunion show itself, I was a little surprised to see that almost all of the stylists had a problem with Tyson's behavior. I hadn't realized that. So it seems to me that maybe Tabatha is the kind of person who took on Tyson not only because she personally disliked him, but because she was fighting "everyone's" fight, or so she thought. Maybe it's a protective instinct in her nature, or maybe she took on that role because she's one of the more senior people on the show, in terms of her standing in the profession. I agree with the poster who pointed out that because of the way the footage is edited, it's not always possible to understand what the actual dynamic is.

I'm a little surprised by how many people in this thread said they are rooting for Ben. Yes, he seems nice enough, but I wouldn't want him to style my hair, based on what I've seen--I'd say he has a lot to learn.

Having fallen asleep twice during the airing of the Reunion Show I think what happened was that Tabitha was named fan favorite, correct? I am surprised if my assumption is correct. Yes she was interesting and kept the show moving, but usually the fans pick someone with more of a pleasing presentation. Personally I always got a kick out of her attitude except for the episode where she ripped on Tyson. I was not particularly a Tyson fan but I thought her ripping on him to the judges was a little tacky. It was obvious she did not like him from the start but their was no need to proceed with her tyraid about him to the judges. With that said, Go Tabitha! smile.gif

THEY BOTH (TYSON AND TABBY) LOOKED LIKE ESCAPEES FROM CHILDREN OF THE CORN...YUCK! WAS GLAD TO SEE BOTH OF THEM GO AND SORRY TO SEE HER WIN THE MONEY...SORRY SWISS.. blink.gif

Wooooohooooooo
I LOVE what you said and totally agree..I only mentioned Elizabeth as she is like GO IRAQ......And SPS and said GO ROMANS!!!

Tongue firmly planted in cheek.

So now we went from that to this. laugh.gif

BUT....I LOVE Rosie's outspokeness AND as much as I vehemnetly disagree with Elizabeth.....she has the right to say what she believes also!!

I do get mad at Rosie for her using the same tactics that she abhors about FOX and slings them at Elizabeth...I.E. "Your Republican crap" and you are young and misguided.

Elizabeth could say the same
back sans the young.

We ALL feel the other side is brain dead.
I can't even imagine anyone agreeing with or supporting Bush just like I can't imagine anyone cheering on Tab for being immature and closed minded.
I think they are all idiots the other side.
But I gave up calling them that a long time ago.
A lot of very smart peeps support him.
Oyyyyyyyyyyyy

Anyway......J......We FINALLY agree about something!!!! rolleyes.gif

OK KRISTY...I CAN'T STAND ROSIE O'DONNEL...WHAT A SANCTIMONIOUS BIATCH!! SHE IS JUST LIKE TABITHA...MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY...WAS ELATED TO SEE HER LEAVE THE VIEW!!! NEVER WATCHED IT AS NOT HOME DURING THE DAY, BUT SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT A BIG DIRTY SOCK IN HER MOUTH!!

LOVES YA KRISTY...LOL...JUST NOT ROSIE..GAG!!

JUST CURIOUS...WHAT IS EARTH LOGIC??? IS IT DIFFERENT THAN..SAY MARS LOGIC? ..OR URANUS LOGIC??? AND AREN'T YOU SINKING TO THE SAME LEVEL??? JUST WONDERING... unsure.gif

"Winning a fight on the Internet is like winning the special olympics--you may have won, but you're still retarded."

Apologies in advance for any offense ...

Vampires generally do open their coffins only at night--important safety measure.

I have vampire pale skin too. I've never been called gross for it, though. I guess there's always a first time. And here, I thought I was just being healthy by avoiding the sun. Who knew?! wacko.gif

Actually, that doesn't really explain, expand or enlighten things, especially since the post you were quoting was from yesterday, and it had been put to rest before you brought it back up but that's ok.

One small request, though--could you please stop yelling?
