Good riddance, Snarkel McSnarkus! To the rest of you, I'm enjoying the convos.

The regulars do...the others go elsewhere. To each his or her own. I like it right here!

Oh, and thanks for the welcomes!

As for impressions about the show in general, I really like Stephanie and that dude with the hair in terms of skills and what they put out. The others were largely uninspiring to me. I hope a woman wins this season, because it's getting to be a white sausage fest (Hung notwithstanding), and they've already killed off Nimma.

And what the hell was up with that huge dude putting all that crap all on top of his souffle? You're not even supposed to talk bad about a souffle too loud or else it'll crap on itself and die. Idiot. wacko.gif

Funny and kinda true re: the comparison of Andrew to Mikey, though I clearly preferred Mikey--I think because he knew his persona was a joke and didn't take himself too seriously. Remains to be seen whether Andrew can actually bring it in the challenges and still laugh at himself outside the challenges.

I still think he'll rock a mesh trucker hat at some point during the season. If he does, I might consider taking a collection in here to send him a K-Fed t-shirt from all his fans on the boards.

I agree there. You gotta be able to laugh at yourself because you know everyone else is laughing...
Thinking so far (hard to tell by 1 epi) that he seems to improvise well under pressure. Grabbing the cast iron was a smart move. He was also smart enough to pick up on the key ingredients for mayo. Most would have missed that in their panic.
If he breaks out the trucker hat I'm breakin' out my beastie boy collection, yo. LMAO at the K-Fed shirt!

Anthony Bourdain puts in an appearance! I vote Bourdain in as the the new host. Get rid of Padma and let Bourdain smoke during QF and have the chefs fetch him cold beers. The quickest chef gets immunity.

I thought he quit smoking after he had a daughter....named Olivia? How many times has he been married?

Looking forward to next week...after thinking about it I'm starting to favor a couple of the girls and a couple of the guys...then there is the lusting after a couple of the guys factor, so I've got lots of reasons to watch besides the great chat we have here on the board.

Vodka is in the freezer...would that go with popcorn? rolleyes.gif

I'm no chef but I believe Ice Cold Vodka goes with anything

personally I am still working out the kinks on a chocolate margarita

Yes, I did notice, but TC started narrowing the age range in season 3. They've ditched the younger (under 25) and older (over 40) age groups, both of which were represented in seasons 1 and 2. I'm not happy about that.

I need another Cynthia.

Amen two times about Cynthia!!!!!

Just click on the image to enlarge and then print a copy to have handy while you're viewing the show. The original is 8.5" x 11" but I'm not sure if Bravo will reproduce it fully sized. (If you are a "Windows" user, you can "copy" and "paste" to "My Pictures." When printed from that source you can specify "full page.")
If you're like me and have a problem putting names with faces early in the season it may be helpful. As the world's second worst speller it also saves me from embarrassment although I am tempted to spell "Richard" as "Rat$hit" after last night!

I think it's going to be great also!

Ok... dumb question: Why should the oldest chef being 38 bother me?

It should not. These are folks who are trying to establish themselves. Anyone of any age can try of course. And all should be welcome. But the older ones probably are content where they are, already established, etc...and possibly do not want to disrupt their lives for weeks for a reality show. Just a thought from an old person.

Yall make a very good point. I questioned the reasoning behind so many young chefs but I can see what yall mean. I guess the whole point of the show is for less seasoned chefs who want a break, right? I guess Cynthia and Dave dont exactly fit into the equation though. Maybe the show is also for the 40+ chef who is starting a second career or the more mature chef who kicks ass at everything but never got their big break and they are tired of training all the young chefs who do get the big break.

I'd like to try to make a chicken cordon bleu pizza. Chicken, ham and Swiss cheese with honey mustard sauce.

Please add the quesadilla to my order.
I always tip good. I was a bookkeeper at a Irish bar/restaurant and I know how hard the wait staff has to work. At a restaurant I tip at least 20% and the pizza delivery guy usually gets 4 or 5 bucks.
