OK,got two questions.
First question,I would love to invest in some Le Creuset pans but my budget just will not allow it. I have one small Le Creuset pan and I use it every chance I get but its too small for most things. Rachel Ray has similar type pans at Target and there are a few other knock off type pans on the market. Has anyone tried the knock off brand pans and if so,how would you rate them? To me,if they are only so-so,its not worth my money.
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
NOT FAMILIAR WITH THAT BRAND LADY BRILL
BUT LIKE I SAID LOOOONG AGO .............
ANYTHING STAINLESS IS GOOD

SO LONG A PAN DOESN'T FLEX AT THE SIDES
HAS A WELL BALANCED "FEEL"
IT SHOULD WORK WELL FOR YOU
I CAN'T SAY I STAND BY JUST ONE BRAND

IF YOU WERE TO DO A WALK THROUGH OF MY KITCHEN
YOU WOULD FIND I HAVE A HODGE PODGE OF
DIFFERENT BRANDS
EVEN SOME OLD REVEREWARE WHICH BELONGED TO MY MOM
I HAVE CUISINART, ALLCLAD. WEAREVER. AND SOME BRAND YOU NEVER HEARD OF
ESP WHEN IT COMES TO MY WOKS AND PRESSURE COOKERS (MY FAVE TO USE

)
SO NOT SURE IF YOU'RE LOOKING AT A SET..
OR A SPECIFIC "PIECE"
GRAB HOLD OF IT
PERHAPS SPIN IT IN YOUR HAND
"FEEL" THE BALANCE
THE WAY THE HANDLE IS MADE AND JOINED
AND IF IT'S GOOD
BUY IT

OH MAKE SURE UR BURNER TOP CAN TAKE IT TOO

Second question,my niece is getting married in Oct. and my sister who has made cakes for years is wanting to do her daughters cake and even cater the wedding. She is in no way a professional caterer and has a tiny kitchen. She did cater her own wedding to her current hubby,we like this one,and even made her own cake but it was a much smaller affair but it almost drove her insane and she was 30 minutes late to her own wedding! Her daughters wedding will have about 250 people and she,my sister, isnt in the best of health. They have tried several tasting menus and found several caterers they like but the frugal mom in her just cant wrap her mind around paying for caterering when she can cook. I also say that with her only daughter getting married, she should focus on her daughter and leave everything else to professionals. Nothing like a micro-managing mom to piss a caterer off. Any suggestions on how to convince my sister to leave the cooking and cake making to professionals?
MAN THIS IS A TOUGH TEST

AS THIS IS ONE OF THE TOUGHEST SITUATIONS
ONE COULD IMAGINE
IT INVOLVES "MATTERS OF THE HEART"

NOT SURE HOW YOU'LD DO IT WITHOUT OFFENDING
SOMEONE................
SO MAYBE A COMPROMISE ...............
LET HER MAKE THE CAKE
THEN UNPLUG HER STOVE AFTER SHE DOES

HAVE THE CATERER PRE RESERVED FOR THE OCCASION
AND HAVE SOME ROPE AND HANDCUFFS READY
JUST IN CASE

JUST KIDDING LADY BRILL
DON'T REALLY HAVE A GOOD RESOLUTION FOR THIS ONE EITHER
GONNA BE A TOUGH PULL
FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED THOUGH
ALL THE BEST
TAKE CARE OVER THERE
ALOHA
HAVE FUN
