Actor, No matter what concert you decide to go to, just have tons of fun and find some shade when it rains, unless you don't mind the mud.

I have never been to Jazz fest. I don't like the crowds. I do love the music but once I also found out how much it was to go there, I did the math on ticket, parking, food (because they no longer allow your cooler past the entrance!), suntan lotion, the rain (I'm not much for getting wet, and it rains every year it seems!), the heat (I don't have to explain that one), etc... I just couldn't afford it! It became less and less attractive to me, sorry but you are going to be our ear in there!

Have fun nonetheless!

Ooooo! there is something that I've been always tried to get is a crawfish Monica sandwich! Yummm

Of course I do. Just what goes into making a crawfish Monica sandwich?

I guess you have to experience that if you want to be sensitive of someone's feelings huh? But then again, I have to say that even if you still have your parents bless you, but remember how to pick and choose your words around those of us who have.
Even losing a loved family pet makes you mourn EVERY DAY not just a little while.

So if martyrdom is for Kristy, then let it be. It's her way of showing respect.

We have our moments and our "internet persona" but we also remember how to not hurt someone's feelings.

Mluv we both know to whom and why I wrote that and so do the rest. They use it to
support their own agenda....I just
happened to read it on TCF's post.
No conscience bothers me.

A LOT!!!
And I will talk of my mum as much as I like
whenever I want to....They attacked Hungry for it and he is gone and how they can sleep at night knowing that is beyond me.

He was a darling and yes I still think of him and miss him.

I have to read some of the peeps that do not exist here to me as when someone answers them... I see it unfortunately.. I try not to as it just makes me realize how pathetic and sad they are.

I am not engaging them yet they continue to post to me and talk of me ...Obsessed maybe???

I am tired of lyrics and long winded
diatribes which make no sense half the time
and all the rest of the ugly. So I put them on ignore.

They can do the same....It seems to me if someone knows how much I am posting they are reading me and why would you????
Uh huh
No one will ever do what they did to me again
and hopefully they will never do it to anyone else.

I do love and miss my mum very much.
Other can talk of all kinds of pain and personal stuff but If I do????
Uh huh

Religious Easter jokes are offensive but a smoking Jesus isn't????....uh huh again

I mean how blatant do you have to be??
And they think we can't read that hypocrisy??
No..... you go find a life and get over me.

I am a drama queen self admittedly smile.gif

And when I said my reason for living was gone I meant she was my world.

I have dealt with grief and researched it for my young widows group and gone to enough support groups to know that what I am experiencing right now is very normal.
I have lost many peeps in the last 8 years.

And I don't want to jump off a bridge or anything and that might be a blessing to some here who I will be reminding what creepy freaks they are every time I see it.

BUT.... hopefully I won't see it as it makes me sick....If any of YOU answer this than
I have proved my point....Haven't I???

I haven't mentioned one name and how dumb do you have to be to call yourself out here........I mean really????

I also am not real keen on McCain; that being said he is going to be the guy and so that is who I will vote for. I am just hoping he gets a good running mate. I would not be unhappy if he got Romney but it looks like that is not going to happen. It should be a real interesting election... especially if Obama is the Dem nominee. I can't wait till he has to back up all of his spending ideas with how he intends to fund them ... that will probably scare the mods and conservatives so much that the election will not be close.

Sorry. I've got nothing to offer about the pans. I ended up getting some Kitchen Aid hard anondized pans this past Christmas. Although I do love them, I secretly yearn for the good stuffs.

However, where your Sis is concerned, try to emphasize that this is her ONLY daughter and to fully participate in the day is to let others do the work. She is to set back and bask in the glow of having her daughter marry and all the primping, fussing, tear blotting, sniffling, smiling for photos, nostalgia, hopes, dreams, pride and love that goes with it.

Seriously. The best gift she can give her daughter is to be in the moment with her daughter, not fussing over a canape.

I think there are more out there than you think.. of course on this board and the material that is this boards inspiration will bring out a more liberal population. I don't know what the answer to the healthcare issue is.... my wife is a nurse and I could tell all sorts of stories how the healthcare system gets abused. The one thing I know for sure is that I do not want the government running whatever system is adopted... it is bad enough now but I know it could(and would )get worse. As for the rest of a conservative platform I am not hard core John Birch Society conservative. I am willing to dialogue and listen . Dear Bril...
I just bought a 6 quart enamal /cast iron duch oven on E-Bay; it was new in box and a Lodge brand pot to boot. Total cost was 55.00. When compared to 100 to 200 dollar prices for Lecreuset or Racheal Ray I am quite happy with my purchase. I mean... it is cast iron and enamal. As a side note the pot is great for braising...I have made 2 batches of killer chili verde in it and I love it.
As for your sister... one idea would be for her to have family and friends help with food prep; some of our best friends oldest daughter got married and basically a group of us did the reception. The daughter said it was the greatest wedding gift she could imagine. The parents bought the food and we cooked and served(and cleaned). It was a loot of work but the end result was gratifying.

Im very lucky to have both of my parents but I do know what its like to lose someone. My late brother died over 10 years ago and it feels as if it was just yesterday we were told the terrible news of his death. I dont choose to share my personal grief on these boards. Others do. Thats their call.

I still find KKs reply to a very simple question about purchasing TC on DVD to be weird and uncomfortable. To me,it was attention seeking. It is my right to see it that way.

Your attempt at snark falls on deaf ears. Ive never considered losing a loved one, either human or pet,to be a laughing matter.

I didnt know Lodge did enamal on their cast iron. Ive several Lodge cast iron pieces and some are pretty darn old. Love them all. Will check it out,

Was news to me, too. I like Lodge. I adore Le Creuset. I don't own any but I always sort of associated it as the pinnacle of cookware. I have a couple of Griswalds because it's tradition for my family. The stainless I have was retailed as a house brand for Lechter's housewares. It was labeled as Cook's Club. I have no idea about the manufacturer. I love them. They're heavy with a thich alloy bottom to help disperse the heat evenly. I've used them for 12 years now and they're just as beautiful as the day I bought them.

I agree with the other post-ers about your sister. I hope your family can convince her to sit this one out. 250 people is an awful lot for one person and one small kitchen. She is going to have her hands so full with so much stuff! I wish you luck, brillke. I know family can be stubborn. Keep us updated! We're all kind of family here. 'Sides... we both bleed blue!

Now... OT from OT... how did they persuade R. Lee Ermey to be a character on Sponge Bob???

Mluv we both know to whom and why I wrote that and so do the rest. They use it to
support their own agenda....I just
happened to read it on TCF's post.
No conscience bothers me.

Then could you please explain it to the rest of us? I mean,it was a simple question about purchasing TC on DVD on a PUBLIC MESSAGE BOARD. I did not sneak into anyones email or see a PM that should be kept private. It was there for everyone to see. Ive no agenda. Personally,I now feel sorry for you. Im sure you dont want my pity but there it is.

A LOT!!!
And I will talk of my mum as much as I like
whenever I want to....They attacked Hungry for it and he is gone and how they can sleep at night knowing that is beyond me.

Sure, talk about your mother as much as you want but if you cant see how odd your response was to such a simple question, theres nothing else to say. Im not sure who "attacked" Hungry but if he chooses to stay away, thats his call.

He was a darling and yes I still think of him and miss him.

I have to read some of the peeps that do not exist here to me as when someone answers them... I see it unfortunately.. I try not to as it just makes me realize how pathetic and sad they are.

Youve the ability to not read those post just like Ive the ability to ignore yours. Plus,we both know you read all the post anyways. Just like you once said, you are nosey and read them. Me too.Oh,I guess you can call me pathetic and sad but Im actually not. Its your right to think otherwise.

I am not engaging them yet they continue to post to me and talk of me ...Obsessed maybe???

Yup,remember how you used to keep talking to me even though I had you on ignore for months? The nosey b!tch in us cant scroll past nutten it seems!

I am tired of lyrics and long winded
diatribes which make no sense half the time
and all the rest of the ugly. So I put them on ignore.

Maybe some people are tired of stuff you post too. Your post tend to be longer then any post here and hard to read at times. To each their own, right?

They can do the same....It seems to me if someone knows how much I am posting they are reading me and why would you????
Uh huh
No one will ever do what they did to me again
and hopefully they will never do it to anyone else.

Yup,I read your post. Sometimes I laugh, roll my eyes, agree(gasp!)disagree but if nothing else, they kill time.

I do love and miss my mum very much.
Other can talk of all kinds of pain and personal stuff but If I do????
Uh huh

Im sure you do miss your mother. I wouldnt expect otherwise. What I find offensive is the times it seems you use your mothers passing as a way to get attention, like in the reply about purchasing TC on DVD. Thats why I asked about counseling. If your grief has you seeing big smart mean men and roaming cretins,Im worried. I also find it odd youve gone on many a rant and board mommy rant on others for pictures or topics they post but how many times have you used the word pussy in post? Thats hypocritical to me but then again, its just my humble opnion. Others seem to enjoy your brand of posting so who is to say who is right or wrong.

Religious Easter jokes are offensive but a smoking Jesus isn't????....uh huh again

See,you do read my post, busted! LOL,what I found offensive was you making fun of people for having faith, for believing. Fine, hate the religion and all that goes with it but to go all "mean girls" on someone because they do believe is not cool,IMO.

I mean how blatant do you have to be??
And they think we can't read that hypocrisy??
No..... you go find a life and get over me.

Too cute! Know what I think? I think deep down you like me. Heck,I might even like you,its hidden VERY well if I do. Who knows, before all is said and done,we might end up being BFF. Did you shiver too? wink.gif

I am a drama queen self admittedly smile.gif

And when I said my reason for living was gone I meant she was my world.

Thats understandable and Im sure many here understand your pain.

You are saying people wish you dead? I NEVER read that from anyone. Creepy freaks, see it? Huh?

BUT.... hopefully I won't see it as it makes me sick....If any of YOU answer this than
I have proved my point....Haven't I???

I haven't mentioned one name and how dumb do you have to be to call yourself out here........I mean really????

I guess I am the YOU you speak of. And no,youve mentioned no names. You just quoted certain post that you dont read, according to you,and bring old BS up when it suits your needs.

Why dont we call a do over and pretend we dont know each other? No,I will not seek your friendship out if you agree but if nothing else,it might put past BS to rest, once and for all. Then, whomever brings said BS up again will be the one to blame.

Deal?

I think there are more out there than you think.. of course on this board and the material that is this boards inspiration will bring out a more liberal population. I don't know what the answer to the healthcare issue is.... my wife is a nurse and I could tell all sorts of stories how the healthcare system gets abused. The one thing I know for sure is that I do not want the government running whatever system is adopted... it is bad enough now but I know it could(and would )get worse. As for the rest of a conservative platform I am not hard core John Birch Society conservative. I am willing to dialogue and listen . I just get my back up when some liberal tells me how to live my life.

My daughter is also a nurse, so I hear the stories. Anything the govt attemps to run gets messed up, so it definately needs to be privatized.
But it really is needed. Maybe we could forgive student loans if Dr/RNs agree to work for 5 years.

I'm a disabled vet - as of yesterday. I fell off my son's bicycle and did some serious damage to my right leg - can't lift it by bending it at the knee. I'll probably be spending more time on the internet until I heal.

Youch! sounds painful. Get some rest and post some funny stuff,

Oh,Im a big fan of Lodge cast iron skillets. I think it was TLC or the Discovery channel did a show on how they are made a few years ago and it was so interesting. I had no idea they were made that way. They are the best cast iron products on the market,IMO.
