I can't believe yet again New York chefs are filling in on Top Chef - Chicago, is there no hope here! Each other season has used local chefs to showcase that cities local restaurant scene. With the talented pool of chefs that live and work in Chicago, I can't believe that Top Chef couldn't find one to come on the show!!! Michael Carlson, would of made a better pick on this episode. Where's Bayless and Trotter??? If I don't see the Chicago in Top Chef - Chicago, then I might be done for this season. Why didn't Dale start the first quick fire off? What the heck is going on this season? Also why is everyone cussing like a sailor on shore leave?

Can anyone explain why for the second straight episode Manuel got less airtime than cigarette commericals?

Someone always messes up these cocktail party thingys. Serve a good, crunchy cold dish. Serve one spectacular hot one--spicy & temp. A fun, unexpected splash of somethin'. Fourth, I don't know--that's why I'm watchin' them. Ya can't manage four hot, to-the-temp&time dishes, folks.

Did anyone else feel like something was missing in this episode? Did they purposefully ignor the wonderful, smelly monkey house to deprive us of a TC version of our favorite classic monkey bread?

See that's exactly what Marcel did in S2 when he forgot his fish. Why don't they just present the dish and be judged on that alone. If it's good tell them later that you forgot/lost something. If it's not good trying to play the sympathy card ain't gonna work too well in this game.

He spoke nicely of his teammates. Producers don't like nice.

Heya rtlily! Good to see ya! I had the same problem. Went into My Control and then into Board Settings and it gives an explanation on the time thing. It's fixable
