Anyone else notice the one judge's hand Antonia missed... and the look on her face when she did? Oops! Very sad to see her go. Lisa's little outburst at the end was... amusing.

yes thanks...i came here wondering when new episode was only to find out that Antonia is out right smack on the first page. God.

Wait for Pacific people to see the damn show before giving everything away!

I'd like to know how people felt about them showing the pigs and the butchering.

My daughter freaked out and had to leave the room. I didn't really get too much out of watching it myself. I'm thinking they could've shown a little less of the dead pigs -- and now they have the same shot here on Ted's blog. eewwww I get it. I understand where food comes from but really ... eeewww.

Cant believe lisa is still in the running .. she is at the bottom every single week and still they send a better chef home. This show is joke. I cant believe I watched another episode , and I knew as soon she made it to the bottom again that she was gonna slime her way through once more. Its discouraging watching the judges select her to stay - its had seemed obvious several times that she needed to go a long time ago.
WhyisLisahere
Why do they keep saving Lisa? How many times has she faced elimation? 6 or 7? Anyone else think the producers are putting her throught to finals?

You can say that again. They showed that marathon today and I watched NONE of it. In previous seasons, even 2 which I didn't care for, I've rewatched at least a few of the episodes -- this season -- no interest AT ALL in rewatching.

How is it even possible that Lisa is still here? She should have gone home a long time ago. How many times has she been on the chopping block now?

It was awesome seeing Dale back in the kitchen. I knew he would get picked first as sous chef. You know Richard was hoping to have the chance to work with him but it was a total no-brainer for Steph to choose him. I felt so bad when he left that pork sitting out all night. Obviously he wasn't thinking about Marcel in Season 2's finale. He definitely came through in the end though. I only wish he was still in the game.

My top 3 chefs: Dale, Richard, and Stephanie. IMHO, no one else deserves to be in the finals.

They delayed the thread opening by design. I bet quite a few of them didn't see a thread and went away. There were 450 of them for Pete's sake lol.

I am so mad. Lisa doesn't NOT belong in this final. Antonia has been one of my favorites from the beginning. This season has been very disappointing compared to other seasons. I wish they would let us have some input. I feel ripped off.

I don't "get" the thing where they say they don't take previous performance into account -- and yet -- the first thing Tom asked Lisa why she didn't cook her usually Asian style food.

Richard got complimented (and rightfully so, imho) for talking about how you have to cook your own style, while also bending to fit the challenge -- and we hear judges every single week talk about each chef's style, his/her flavors, etc. ... and commenting about how this week's disk fits/doesn't fit what they 'usually'

Sooo how is that NOT taking previous performance into consideration. It seems the judges only factor out overall performance when it suits the way they want the eliminations to go.

I really am going to bed. I'll scan you all in the a.m. Hajar, just put the leftovers in the Glad plastic ware and load up the dishes in the porch's GE Monogram dishwasher. Have a Michelob on me and be sure to have a designated driver to drive your RAV 4. Say hi to Uncle Ben.

Antonia? really? Maybe this show should be renamed Mediocre Chef. Just goes to show, those who can, do - those who can't, judge. Very disappointed in the judging this season - perhaps term limits would be a good idea.

to sum up for the noobs:

We are mad at bravo.
Bravo sucks.
Lisa Stinks.

I'm do Not want to look at her sourpuss any longer.

Tom said that he was surprised that she stepped away from her usual Asian style and went in another direction. That has more to do with a past cooking style than past performance.

I agree 100% Part of me wants to believe that this contest can be won on merit. But as each episode passes and she continues clinging to her position I can only wonder what ( or who) she is doing to stay becuase it is obvious that her performance does not merit her position.

Bingo. The judges carefully craft their comments so they can keep certain people. Why would Lisa still be here if Antonia's undercooked beans were such a big deal? Lisa not only undercooked her beans but under cooked her rice and served raw shrimp?

I am so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am an avid Bravo tv watcher and tonight's elimination has really made me consider not watching Bravo anymore or Top Chef at least. Clearly throughout the entire competition Antonia has been the better chef out of her and Lisa. For god's sake Lisa has now including tonight been in the bottom six times throughout the show. I don't understand why the judges didn't take this more into consideration. Sure Antonia didn't do as well as she could, but everyone knows that she would have come back strong in part 2 of the finale. Lisa has screwed stuff up from the begining not to mention throwing Andrew under the bus just to assure her safety. I am so sick of seeing her. She does not deserve to be in the final three. And how rude? The way she spoke to Stephanie and Richard for not congratulating her for not being eliminated?? The reason why she didn't get it is because all she deserves is to pack her knives and go........... If she somehow by the grace of god beats Stephanie and Richard I swear to up above I will never watch Top Chef again. I would say that I would quit watching Bravo all together but I simply can't part with my Project Runway! Fierce!

I have absolutely no respect for any of the judges. The fact that Lisa is still there is an embarrassing reflection on them. And the sad part is that the longer she sticks around the more she thinks she actually belongs there. I think she might even think she can cook. They are really doing her a disservice. She is awful and should not even be on the show period. They might want to consider getting some "REAL" Judges for next season, or I foresee them not being on much longer.

This season's ending so far stinks, and I don't like it. Lisa has NO business participating in the finals. I'm tired and aggrevated, good night.
s_gragg214
This show is becoming more and more a disappointment every time I watch it. I can't believe that Lisa once again weaseled her way through another elimination!! She has to be the luckiest person on this show to date. She has won 1!!! challenge total!!! HOW IS THAT TOP CHEF? I was in complete shock and awe when they sent Dale home, and now Antonia... come on folks!! I think that in order to be a "top chef" you should take into consideration past challenges and how well the person in the bottom did over-all. If that were the case, Lisa would have been sent packing 4 episodes ago, at least in my own personal opinion... IDK stop if me if I'm wrong. I don't even know if I want to watch the Finale, because she's so lucky she could win it, and she definitely doesn't deserve to. If she's considered a top chef, then I think I should try out for the show.... and I'll leave it at that...

And what is with her attitude?? Does she honestly think that she is better than everyone else? She shows the judges no RESPECT. Her stance when she's on the chopping block (every week) is so arrogant. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT WHEN SHE SAID THAT DALE'S ATTITUDE SUCKS... Come on... She's the rudest person on that show. She needs a reality check!!

nah, that's how it is. Maybe it's b/c I grew up on a farm. Besides, I'd rather go to a butcher block and get fresh meat even if I see part of the animal that go to get meat that is mass produced. but then again, I have no problem eating squid, octopus etc. but can't stand Nato (fermented beans) b/c the look and consistency reminds me of mucous! haha

How's this for no respect? Richard wins the elimination challenge this week, and yet only 1 of the six dishes he cooked is on Bravo's website.

I would have to agree with Hajar. The judges can't just forget that they have seen these chefs cook before. Just because they know what a chef's style is, doesn't mean they are using that as a basis for their decisions week to week.

As for this season, I am loving it. I have watched certain episodes over and over again. I do think Jennifer and Dale should have been in the competition much longer simply for the mere fact that they were better chefs than most of the competition, but the weeks of their eliminations I must admit they had errors in judgement. I think if Tom Colicchio would have been there the night Dale was booted, he would have saved him. Lisa had TWO bad dishes. Dale only had one, plus the best dish of the night.

So I have a theory.......here it go:

Nikki [expletive deleted] Antonia's [expletive deleted] up and Antonia was too big of a person to say it so she took full blame....except of course the choice to plate it the way she did.

Man, sometimes I can see the fun, lovely person Lisa could be shining out of her eyes. If she could just let that person show!
HoustongirlShannon
Why did Lisa make it through? They say it is not a personality contest but a cooking contest. The problem is, they have had six months away watching the show and you would think she would watch herself and perhaps have a different attitude. Why become a chief if you are so unahappy and negative. It can be stressfull, but if you are so unhappy go be something else. She would be a great bail bonds woman or police officer. Dale should be there and I do not think he would have been sent home if Tom was the judge instead of Anthony when he got sent home.
A-GA
Who in their right mind ever determined that surliness and overall bad attitude made for good TV???

Huge disappointment that Lisa is still there and that I have to see her face one more time next week....I know I don't have to watch, but I actually like Richard and Stephanie.

She is so right she just squeaked into the finale.....actually, I think they dragged her in kicking and screaming about how misunderstood and mistreated she was - what a snarky comment to Richard and Steph at the end of the show.

I guess Bravo will also reward her with the check for "Fan Favorite".

Cannot believe Lisa beat Antonia. Why is she there? She can't win. If she does, no one will watch the show again. She's on the bottom all the time and throws good people under the bus, not to mention the constant griping and the empty promises to "impress" next time. Sure. Go home.

I just signed up tonight to write this because I am so disgusted. My boyfriend stopped watching after Season 3 because of Tre's dismissal and that fact that Hung won.
