OH GAWD, the Skanks of the OC! Heaven forfend! Vicki says she a little difficult to work with! Yeah and Hitler was just a little cranky! Well, Charlie takes the day! Just need to drop a little of the ego, he'd be fan fave! Daniel a cutie, but he's killing me with that Tx drawl! lol!! Spent 5 months in Austin back in 2000! I still wake up screaming thinking about it! lol!!

Parker was eliminated. Doesn't he look a young Brad Pitt? Lucky lady..

Speaking of ego, Paulo needs to get over his! lol!! In the bottom twice in one day, and attitude is still dripping off the guy! He won't last!

AHHHH! I still can't believe Parker was eliminated! I honestly think his cut was better than both Paulo's AND Gale's. I think Paulo's was better than Gale's too. I think she should've been eliminated. It makes me so sad. sad.gif I actually almost cried.

OMG 13th... ohmy.gif ...So Daniel, and Matt, are the criers...And the cutest... laugh.gif ...

Parker, left with much more dignity than Oshun,...Oshun, blamed the system(da man)rather than his own short comings...I think his losing the FC challenge totally de-moralized him...It just seemed to me(looking at his facial expressions, and body language)that he gave up...JMHO...
And I'm sorry his: "I was holding back" was an excuse; not an stratagy...Oshun, you're nothing more than a shallow wetland(oh that's gonna ignite a battle-if not a war)y'all aint that deep...
In the same spirit...If the modern day appologests(sp MoHub?)are to beleived...God, drowned ancient Pharo's(sp?)Charioteers, in a shallow puddle...Again JMHO...

That's the thing with watching competition shows, we don't always agree with who gets sent home. I am often frustrated, but keep tuning in.

Apologists; believed; Pharaoh's

And not apologists. The actual term in the Bible is the Sea of Reeds; a mistranslation changed it to the Red Sea. No one is really sure what or where the Sea of Reeds was, but it was not the body of water that runs the length of the Arabian peninsula.

And I would definitely have sent Paulo home.

I love Dee's enthusiasm, and talent. Even though she isn't the "big personality" on the show, my bet is that she wins. I loved in last night's episode her defending her "signature low-light". Go girl, you rock! rolleyes.gif

And that is why you are not a judge, stick to your bible studies ;p. Gail was far worse than Paulo. Daniel for that matter had the worst of them all but he had immunity, his style lacked any creativity (but he is still one of my favorites). Gail new she did a bad job she even said it in the back room. Paulo had the client from hell, who said she was very difficult, she couldn't even stay seated while her hair was being done, but did her hair look bad, no. If you look at Paulo's work thus far he is the only stylist that has consistently had hair that is wearable. Charlie keeps pushing the envelope and it makes it interesting. My eye is on Paulo, Daniel, and Charlie. I would put Dee in the top but, again she seemed to be cheating in the first challenge and with that crazy "signature" stripe of hair color she did on the last model I am not sure.

Okay, and is anyone else just a bit freaked out about Kim Vo's face? It seems he has had way to much work done.

He seems very Michael Jackson to me with the radical surgery to look completely different....
(and talk about blondorexic... has he seen himself lately...) ohmy.gif

and the shade of lipstick he wears is way too dark....
every time I see him I think "liver lips"... huh.gif

OK, I should lay off poor Kim, I always say

While part of Kim's look may be the result of surgery, I'd guess more of his features come from his Eurasian gene combo.

Thanks MoHub... I don't really know too much about him... I just read online that he got surgery to "change his look"... I should know better than to believe everything I read online... LOL (smacking self on paw... Bad Snags, Bad!)...

Plaid, or anyone else who believes Dee cheated... maybe you saw something that I didn't, please elaborate. I am a little confused? I wouldn't think Shear Genius would condone this.

Sure check out the first episode, the mask is way up her face and her head is tilted back looking under the mask (there is a great 5 second shot of her), and she used a feather razor as well, which she was questioned about. If you get a chance to see the show you will notice it.

I know but still. It really made me so mad. Those judges are terrible. My friend was with me when I watched it, and she agreed Gale's cut was the worst too. I really think Gale should've been eliminated.

I would have said that last week--in fact last week I thought he was quite handsome. But something changed this week--maybe it was the make up (lipstick?) but I have to agree he really appeared a little odd (read a ladylike freaky!).
Daniel's big grin is what makes me a little leery of him.
So now that I've trashed people, I would say that right now I like the styles from Daniel, DEE!, and the little blonde who said she's been compared to Tabatha.

Cheers,

I am watching the episode again right now. While I agree that her blindfold is a little high and her head tilted a bit back, it is no more higher/more tilted than Nakessa ( I know I just butchered her name). I think if I were performing a task blindfolded, I might be just as inclined to tilt my head back to think and concentrate. JMHO.

I know I shouldn't make fun of someone's looks but...
the guy puts himself out there as an arbiter of taste & style...
He should be able to take a little ribbing...

From his B2V Salon Bio...

"Born in Vietnam and raised in Europe, Vo eventually settled in Los Angeles"

Q: So Kim, you're new to the show. What's your background?

Vo: I was born in Vietnam, but I tell people I'm also from Sacramento. I attended both Christian Brothers (when it was an all-boys school) and Sacramento High.

Here's a purely selfish question for the genius(es) behind Shear Genius (love the show, by the way)...

Would you ever do a challenge on curly hair- to be cut and styled curly?

Here's why- I've always had wavy curly hair - a headache full of hair! It's been almost impossible to get even a reasonable cut...Best one I ever had meant a 5 hour roadtrip to NYC. Almost ALL the others have fallen into one of two categories- the poodle (ugh) or the Alice -like in Dilbert.

Anyway- if you want to seperate the wheat from the chaff...

Oh by the way- would you ever do curly gray hair? That's where I am now- lots and LOTS of gray hair. I've just been letting it grow because I'm afraid what I'll get next...It would be SO great to get some ideas and inspiration...

Any thoughts?

Have you thought about having your hair chemically straightened?
I know you probably love curly hair but if it's straight you still have the option of curling it...
& I know plenty of women who will use a flat iron to temporarily straighten their hair as well...

Just a suggestion...

OH GAWD, the Skanks of the OC! Heaven forfend! Vicki says she a little difficult to work with! Yeah and Hitler was just a little cranky!

Anyone else see this episode as a totally wasted "throw away" challenge???

It was purely a blatent promotion for one of Bravo's other shows....
If the Housewives didn't want their looks changed (or their signature style messed with)... Then they shouldn't have come onto a Hair cutting/styling competition!

I just wish that one of the competitors had the huevos to take 10 minutes,
give the Housewife a shampoo and a blowout...
(in exactly the same style they had previously, since that is all most of them wanted anyway)...
and then grab a mannequin head (remember those from last season)...
and cut, colored and styled it, to show what should have been done to the clients hair
(if the stylist had truly been given free reign).

Or if they grabbed a wig and stuck it on her head and cut and styled it....
image seeing Vicki walk the runway at the hair show with brown or red, super short hair...
the judges would have been floored....

Never watched OC (or NY, for that matter) as I couldn't see where those women's lifestyles were in any way reflective of housewifery—at least not in the stays-at-home-and-does-her-own-cleaning-and-cooking lifestyle that fits my definition of housewife!

However, I did watch SG, and it just reinforced for me that I was right in not watching any of the so-called Real Housewives incarnations.

This is from the RHoOC Bravo boards....

NOTE: Because of certain posts to this message board, we've switched the Real Housewives message board to "moderator approval required". This means any comments you write to the boards will not show up immediately; Bravo staff has to go through and manually approve them.

This is not a change we're making lightly. We're usually *very* hands-off with our message boards for all of our shows. And we really really don't want to start banning people for bad behavior -- it's a *very* rare step for us -- but we've already had to do that to two different people on this board in the past week.

We're *not* interested in censoring people's opinions here, but we can't go on having runaway posts and comments that invade the Housewives' privacy (or their families' privacy). Oh, and posting their home phone numbers or personal e-mail addresses or private details in a public forum is *not* okay. You'd think that would be obvious to everyone, but apparently not.

So please feel free to talk about the show, but let's not get so carried away here, okay? Keep it clean, and keep it legal, that's all we're asking.

Now, back to the show...!

Okay, here's my conspiracy theory du jour. I get the impression that because it is not a Magical Elves production, Shear Genius is being treated by Bravo as a stepchild. Publicity for the show has been minimal; we didn't get a new message board for the new season; and we don't even get proper blogs on the Bravo site, just some lame, shallow mini-interviews.

I just get the feeling Bravo is treating SG as just so much filler until Project Runway returns.

Is my paranoia showing, or what?

But by the anemic look of these boards... I think the viewership doesn't warrant as much attention... sad.gif
