If something is true it is not an insult. When a stylist is speaking
professionally to other stylists they give this information for the
purpose of explaining why they did what they did. Over processed
hair can throw your plans into the ash can. If the hair is hard to
take color for anyreason, you have to use products that are
harsher, or if you don't make sure you tell the client they may be
brassy before you even begin. All of the judges know something
about hair. Nicole or any of the stylist contenders are going to give
this information. Most people who have done their own perm or
color KNOWS the stylist is going to question them about what they
did to their hair. It goes with any sort of hair correction. It is just
the way the world is. I like Nicole. She is extremely talented. I
am hoping she wins.

Nicole brings a lot of this animus on herself! You try and tell her something and it's like...."whatever!" (with an eye roll) No one likes to be sneered at, ignored, or dismissed like that! It's youth I guess! The biggest fault I have with her is the constant insults to the client; "like her/his hair is so thin, or over-processed, etc, etc, etc!" Again, who wants to hear that more than once? Charlie could be the greatest hair designer of all time and he'd still be in the bottom as far as I'm concerned! His own insecurities drag him down by "downing" everyone else's efforts! It's never good enough for him and I have no idea why he is asked for an opinion, he will always have something bad to say about another stylist! He's just plain rude! I suppose he's just playing the game! If he had been a boring "schlump," he probably would have been gone already!
