Alex and Simon are both so gross to look at - they were talking about St. Barths - they go to the Caribbean in the summer - that is when NO BODY WANTS TO BE THERE - it is to damn HOT!!!!!!!!!! Plus that is also when the hotels and everything is cheaper and in St. Barths most of the restuarants are closed (because it is hurricane season) and residents have left for the HAMPTONS!!!

I know I live in St. Thomas, USVI and I leave and come home to the States or we take our vacations in Auguts and September because it is unbearably hot as hades and there are hurricane warnings almost weekly. They are "wanna be" with NO CLASS.

ALex is very ugly also.

Ramona is weird - but jovial - Bethany is well Bethany, honest and tell it like it is and Kelli well she looks like Cindy Crawford if Cindy Crawford aged. She has great hair and body but something about her face is harsh.

Has anyone read the blogs? First of all - Ramona - it's Welch - not Welsh.....

Also - Simon's blog is actually very funny....I'm sorry but I don't see why nobody likes him. I think he's funny and I can't not like someone based on their looks. Alex does have a great figure and can be very pretty. I guess I like how they are who they are - pink or green shoes and all and are just into eachother...nothing wrong with that..

And how come we see everyone else talking behind people's back - especially Ramona but Alex and Simon are just doing their own thing.....

Bethenny - good luck finding someone - it's not all about you - it takes very much compromise - find someone who makes you laugh and build from there. I think it's hard for you to trust anyone...

Jill - you're so cute...and your Muthuh - so funny!

Kelly - boring....

Luanne - I've always liked you- but you're getting a little high on your horse...you say the worst is for someone to think they're better than you and you throw Countess everywhere - true class means you don't need to mention it.

Bossip just caught word that Kim Zolciak's pimp, Lee Najjar (aka. Big Poppa), has left his wife to move in with Kim Z. at the townhouse that HE currently pays for. A source close to Lee's wife, Kim Najjar, said that she is extremely upset over the situation, and can't believe that Lee left her for a "high class prostitute." Divorce proceedings are supposedly taking place now. There's no word as to whether or not Lee will be featured on the show, but we can just about guarantee that he will not. Allegedly, Kim is also being sued by her ex-publicist for non-payment of services, and the publicist has taken out a protective order against her for making vicious threats.

In funny news, Nene, who used to strip at Atlanta's famous Magic City, actually met Kim while she was stripping at Atlanta's Cheetah club. A Cheetah spectator reached out to Bossip to talk about Kim's performances. "She used to dress up like a nurse

with the name "Barbie." Her lap dances were pretty good." Apparently Kim wished that her stage alias reflected her real occupation, which is why she lied about being a RN (resident nurse). Our source confirmed that Kim was a CNA (certified nursing assistant), not a RN (registered nurse).

Our source also went on to say that Sheree has finally found a house and will no longer be homeless. Tameka Foster will NOT be joining the cast.…this season. Most likely due to her complications with her recent liposuction procedure.

Kim, we're sorry to have to be the ones to tell you this but, it IS trickin' if you got it. Those lap dances must be pretty good for a man to leave his entire family for this pasty, plastic skank.

The second season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta begins filming this week.

Love Jill, love the way she adores her family. Made me cry when Alison was leaving on her trip. I remember when my daughter was that age, and it was so hard to see her go away. Is there anybody better than Bobby?

Luann - get over it! Not every moment of every day is a Countess moment. Plus - her dress looked completely out of place. What part of Denim & Diamonds didn't she understand. Her mother reminded me of Martha Stewarts mom - a nice lady but doesn't quite understand why her daughter is so stuck up.

None of these women will be on Dancing with the Stars anytime soon!

Alex & Simon are so posed, creepy and just odd! Ugh!!! Hey get a clue - if you take your kids to the beach, they don't have to go body surfing, they can play in the sand - like normal kids!!! Why would you leave your kids at home and go to the beach? I don't get it.

Jill, your mother is incredible! How fortunate you are to be blessed with such a wonderful, caring, and understanding Mom.

Seeing Jill and her mother really made me miss my mother, it's nice she appreciates their relationship. It is nice to see "normal" interactions between people on any of the RH shows. Bethanney is hilarious, Silex are just wrong, odd and sooo pretentious they are like a car wreck, I can not look away! St. Barth's in the summer, what a joke. Even us po' folks know that is off season.

Congratulations to those of you who survived the Simon in a speedo episode! I thought I was going to lose my lunch!! Thank goodness he put the board shorts on! Alex, please eat something and return the 8 grand you dropped on clothing and give it to a dentist to fix your teeth. Why these two posers are on this show is a mystery.

Jill-Love her, she is my favorite! Her and Bethenny together crack me up.

The Countess Chocula-needs to come back to earth. We here in the good ole' US of A do not have royalty nor do we recognize her majesty's title. If you want to be treated like a queen, please go live in the Suez Canal where the de Lesseps name may be celebrated. I liked LuAnn last season but this season, not so much.

Ramona-bordering on the NY version of Icki Vicki from the OC. With that said, I do appreciate the fact that she speaks her mind about Simon and Alex and can see them for what they are, fake....

Kelly-have not seen enough to form an opinion, however she could be up there with Countess Chocula if she doesn't drop the holier than thou attitude.

Did they really have to show Simon's pasty white legs in the mint green loafer and him in his man thong? I had nightmares!
Did the pizza delivery guy really care that Luann is a countess? This woman kills me, she admonishes the crowd at the benefit for talking while the speaker was speaking but she was also talking the whole time to her tablemates. And this woman is writing an etiquette book? PLEEEEZ!!
What is Kelly's purpose? She skips, literally, into a party, air kisses a few people, poses for some photo's and then skips away.
Thank God for Bethanny for comic relief, if it wasn't for her this show would be so boring!

Dear COUNTESS, those of us who live in the US could NOT care less about your title. SERIOUSLY. Get over yourself. If you want to be a countess go to whatever country your husband is from and let them fall at your feet. You are just a commoner here. Deal with it. Oh, and you were incredibly rude at that dinner. I guess because you are a COUNTESS you have the right to talk during a speech and everyone else was rude.

In Jills blog she talked about Simon & Alex renting 2 rooms in that house. So, they didn't rent the whole house? WEIRD! That explains why their bedroom was in the attic. That's where the creepy people stay! Oh, and Thank God Simon put on trunks. Him in a speedo was sickening. Next week him getting a spa treatment should be a real throw-up fest.

I totally agree that Alex and Simon are just gross to look at. Alex honey, you can put on a nice dress and spend all the money in the world but you're still unattractive and have awful hair so get off your high horse.

And Luann...she claims to be so "understanding" and not pretentious but in every frickin episode she's correcting people and telling them to call her Countess. I don't think it was this episode but in Episode one she actually said "Oh the Countess doesn't drink beer out of a bottle." Talking in the 3rd person is bad enough but sheesh. Just cause you have a title doesn't make you important. Especially when you get upset at people for talking during a benefit and you sit there in the front row and talk to your own friends the whole time.

And Kelly...there's just something I don't like about her. She seems to try and come off "real" and "nice" but I have a feeling she's really a snobby brat. Someone needs to tell her to lay off the faux tan too cause she looks like she put her face in a pile of dirt in every episode. Not to mention she has the strangest looking fake boobs I've ever seen.

I think the 'Countess' is originally from Wisconsin which, last time I checked, is not a kingdom.

The 'Countess' received her 'title' when she married her husband. Oh, pardon me, married a Count.

I actually like Luanne, there is a strong insecurity and vulnerability beneath that tough exterior. I think she could benefit from some therapy as Bethany, or a Lovely Jewish mother named Gloria..love you Gloria. You are a class act.

I pretty much like everyone on this show, although I sometimes find it such a disappointment to Orange county wives. I think the New York House wifes try too hard at it does not appear natural.
The only one who seems natural Is Simon. He is himself and it shows. Alex..you are so lucky to have a husband like him. Does he have a brother?

Bethany, I wish you the best, You are a lot like us 30 -40 single independent women out there who are just so vulnerable inside for love. Its not you honey, its the losers of men out there. They have too many options. it sucks sweetie, I feel your pain.

You know, you might be correct. I can't remember exactly where her 'Countessness' is from. I don't think she originally hails from a country where there's a monarchy.

Does that mean when The Count finds a newer, younger 'Countess', Luann will insist upon being addressed as an 'Ex-Countess'?

We obviously need someone with a working knowledge of peerage to help us unmuddy these muddy waters. Heaven forbid we commoners not address her in the appropriate form!!

RHW/NYC is the only show of the RHW- series that I find entertaining. Jill and Ramona are the most honest and hysterical to watch. Betheny is the glue that keeps those two together, and I was a fan of Betheny's when she did the Martha Stewart apprentice show. She was robbed on that show! The Countess adds a different element to the show , but seems to put on the front for the most part. The new girl is boring and only exemplifies the cougars that we see popping up left and right. Get rid of her. Alex and Simon............. no words, but I enjoy watching the other women make fun of them.

Yes, Alex dear you need some work on those teeth. But now what you would think so do let just any Dentist in that mouth of yours. First before anything you need braces because you have a classic open bite and need that bite worked on before you go and change the shape of those chiclets....... finish up with some bleach and you will be set.

I know it's mean -- but I think it's weird, too, that this woman can spend $8,000 on clothes in a single afternoon but has some pretty amazing periodontal disease going on. Her gums are red, puffy and look infected. I don't think she needs braces necessarily but if she doesn't go to the dentist soon, she'll definitely need dentures.

That said -- really enjoying Jill and Bethany this season. Love their friendship, their awesome New York accents :-), Jill's family (Mommy -- so great), Bethany's sense of humor and wicked intelligence. Kind of refreshing after the nasty Orange County debacle.

Her blog entry from this week mentions her family is Canadian/American Indian. Does anyone know? Is she from a kingdom called Pretentiousness?

I'm so glad RHWNY is on because RHWOC pissed me off...it's crazy how in OC they're all so busy being fake and gossiping about eachother, making up rumors, not paying proper attention to their children (except for Vicki since her children are perfect of course in her mind, only because of her), etc and in NY they TELL eachother how they feel, no matter who likes it or not, they don't blame everything on other people and they actually like to spend time with their families. Also, I LOVED when Bethenny dressed up like Jill!! The Countess is really annoying though and I don't get why the new girl is on. Next week she falls off a horse so her drama is she's afraid to get back on and ride?? The only thing she did last week was say how often she's photographed at parties she stays at for a few minutes, wtf lol

Yes, my bad. I thought she said something in the past about living in the south. Anyway from the looks and sounds of her mother she seems to have a European accent. Wendyr, I tried to copy your post and respond, and I got an error message, so this is response to your post at beginning of this thread.


I spent my honeymoon in St.Thomas, Ritz Carlton. It was great!!, and I cant wait to get back. We were there in May and the weather was very nice compared to the NE in the states. You have to understand though that the water in the Hampton's really doesn't get much above 70 degrees ever so even in late August the water there is just bearable. I have a house on the NE coast just below Jersey in DE and we are a bit warmer, but the NE in general never gets anything close to tropic and the water is very rough and grainy and not ever as nice as the Caribbean. I do agree with you that listening to them complain was annoying since it was their decision to rent the shack.

I agree that Alex and Simon add the ick factor to the show but you need that to make it work and to give the Yenta's something to talk about.

That was funny, and I was thinking the same thing. Plus I would never leave kids the age of their kids at a pool with God knows who watching them. Much more chance of an accident at a pool then the beach. Kids are smart they see those waves and run the other way. They were odd creatures to watch this epi, but makes for great tv........dont you think???

NO WAY!!! I didn't know that. And they stayed with that real life witch lady??? OMG, very weird........... They spend 8 thousand on a few outfits and cant fork up the money to at least rent their own house for the summer...........odd

Im a Dental Hygienist and Alex's problem is that she has a classic case of anterior open bite, which is the exact oposite of what most have when they have an overbite. When someone has and open bite they are mouth breathers and can get red inflamed tissues because of the loss of natural moisture from saliva. She need extensive orthodontics with possible surgery on her lower jaw, mandible to correct the problem and then just some bleaching.

My parents are-Italian is still the primary language in our home.

SILEX- Simon and Alex= Silex! That's a good one! They are pretentious, but they're probably pretty typical New Yorkers! I agree with a previous poster, I too think Simon is pretty sharp [humorous]! I think he adds an interesting dimension to the show. Alex is a ding-dong, but she does try to be a lady- I give her points for that!

I LOVE JILL! She's my favorite and I love the accent! I like how honest she and Bethany are with each other (as friends should be). They take their digs at each other, with each other (not behind each other's back Orange County girls)! And I love Jill's husband, I don't know what it is, but he's kind of sexy! Her mother is GREAT! I loved her conversation with Bethanny (that's a good mom, a mom who's willing to mother and nuture someone else's child)!

Bethanny is funny. I was sad to heard she and Jason broke up, he was obviously a very private person and maybe the shows notoriety was too much for him! Maybe Simon has a friend he can set her up with- oops, my bad, Simon doesn't have any male friends!

Good ol' Ramona is a nutty as ever! She had the nerve to blow up last season about Simon not allowing Alex to go anywhere without him- yet she sees gossip in a newspaper and she sits down with her adolescent daughter to discuss it!!! Hello- do you have any adult friends to gossip with?! Couldn't you wait until that hen-pecked husband of yours (also sexy) comes home?! I can still see the look on her face from last season when Alex and Simon's bad-a$$ed little Francois was killing Jason's hamburger with his toy dinosaur! Priceless!!!!

Alex does try to behave in a lady-like manner-except for the nudie pictures that are all over the internet. It's odd. I read her blog and I kind of like her. The Alex that blogs seems so different from the Alex we see.

I also found it disturbing that Ramona found it necessary to share a gossip column with her daughter. Luckily, her child seems a lot more grounded and sensible than she is.

I'm not sure about this Kelly. I think she might be a snake in the grass. We'll see.

Im watching an encore now of the Hampton's show. I must say the girls all look great this season. Even though LuAnn got a lot of slack for her yelling at the rude talkers. I do think she did the right thing. Actually the women that were mumbling up there should have either stopped talking or quieted down the crowd, so I give LuAnn credit for speaking up. And yes, she did talk with her group but she was trying to be attentive and seemed a bit nervous about her acceptance of her award. Lu Ann looks great this epi but then again she is one of the younger one. Alex is the youngest and I think LuAnn and Bethany second youngest.

I think its funny how they act surprised about running into one another at the party when they know the cameras are there and thats what they are there for...........Bethenny keeps calling Alex and Simon " The Van Kampen's" instead of by their first name. Is that because she got yelled at by LuAnn about calling LuAnn by her first name??

LuAnn, If you are being introduced to an adult then your first name is proper. If you are being introduced to a child then Mrs. would be proper. But to introduce yourself to another adult and its not a formal introduction then it would be more common and acceptable to be introduced by your first name.

My take on Kelly,

I dont think she is attractive. She is too broad shouldered and has the body of a man. Her face looks like she was slapped ( its so beet red) Her hair is hay hair......... I dont get why she could make money off of her looks. She must have been born into her money that she make such a big deal about having the luxury of............

I agree. Kelly just seems so smug. I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Your remark about the "hay hair" was humorous. All I could think of when I saw the first episode was with all that money she has, why doesn't she brush that hair? She's got those horses, wasn't there a spare currycomb in the stable?

I know that the Countess can sometimes be a bit much, but I agreed with her last season when she asked Bethanny to introduce her as Mrs. de Lessepps and not Luann to the limo driver. She didn't ask her to mention the Countess thing, but there should be some respect given when a driver is driving a married woman and he didn't know Luann personnally. There's something to be said for manners and I think Bethanny should have realized that. I still call the parents of my friends Mr. and Mrs. It's a show of respect IMO.

I think Ramona might have a thyroid issue going on. She's got those bug out eyes that don't blink and she seems to talk a lot faster than anyone else. Maybe it's nervous energy. I've never seen her have a conversation that appeared sincere.

I live in Florida and I can tell you no one with a brain comes here or to St Barts in August. It's so hot and humid you can barely breathe. I don't understand why Alex and Simon are on the show - they don't appear to be fixtures on the social scene, social climbers maybe.

As weird as they are, I've decided I sort of like the "van Kempens". The bad teeth, the awful posture, the cotton candy hair, the Brooklyn squalor, the sad Hamptoms rental, the top drawer pretentiousness and total social awkwardness -- they're kind of likable in an inexplicably delicious way. I wouldn't want to know them but they're definitely entertaining. Loved the speedo (Simon, you go girl!) and Alex's dopey millionth attempt to appear *to the manor born* ("...my parents had a home in the Caribbean..."). The whole, very fair-skinned family, including the perfectly named Johann and Francois, look like they subsist on a diet of hummingbird beaks and Splenda.

But, really, who do they hurt? The Long Island comment was just their usual cluelessness and insecurity. They were delighted anyone from the press was actually paying attention to them. As Bethenny said -- if they would just *own* their social climbing obsession, everyone would love them...

I agree! It is a show of respect. It makes me uncomfortable when people I don't know address me by my first name. I guess I'm old-fashioned!

You've noticed those popped out eyes, too? Sometimes she looks as though she's been up for 72 hours, with the aid of lots and lots of caffeine and, er, stimulants.

I kind of like them too. They just try too hard. Simon's a hoot-any man that wants to spend that much money on clothes for his wife, can't be ALL bad.

I get why Simon and Alex are on the show. Because they give the Yenta's something to talk about, but I wouldnt go as far as to say that I get them. I wish them no harm, but I find them as creepy as Ramona does. I actually think out of all the housewives that Ramona has the best marriage. I think Jill husband is a bit old for her, but he takes good care of her. I think Lu Anns husband is way too old for her because she seem to enjoy her youth too much. ( pining to be like her niece in that epi) I feel so sorry for Lu Ann daughter who always seems so sad that her mom is off doing other things. Bethenny's Jason was too weak for her. While she is more attracted to the quite that is oposite of her, I really think she need someone more bold that makes her laugh and we all know Jason was a sap and didnt have it in him to make her laugh..........

I think in retrospect that my remarks of her were a bit catty of Kelly, but I usually do have good perception of my first impressions of someone. She is very aloof On TV she photographs not attractive, but maybe in person she is much better looking.

I think Bethenny is much more attractive because she is petite. ( and thats all genetics anyway) i will say that Bethenny has a killer body in that swim suit but could stand to gain 5lbs.

The hair hair thing is a fashion statement that older woman will lean towards because it makes them seem younger- teen-like...........Thats why you will see that a lot with the cougars. Courtney Cox wears hers that way. Its just that with Kelly, she has the I dont know where she got that slapped in the face looking tan, and then the hay hair on top of that just makes her look road hard. She lacks softness.

Anyway, I give them all credit for showing themselves on the show and think they do a great job at ignoring the camera's

I am sitting here stuck at home because of the snow and every time I see Alex and Simon I want to gag. If they keep them on the show because everyone makes fun of them and they are a troublesome pair who give others so many reasons to fight with them, fine. To the poster that loves Simon and thinks that the other girls are just jealous, I think your gaydar is off because its not that Simon spends any more time with his wives its that Simon wants to be on camera spending the time and the other husbands and boyfriends want to take a back seat to their wives latest adventure. You have to keep in mind that the cameras are not rolling 24/7 and most of the material is sort of planned out for the sake of the show...............
