This show is a huge part of what is wrong with the world today. Nothing starts rage brewing inside me more than the stupid woman who hosts it, thinking she is so important soliciting prostitutes to duechbag men with so much money that they can't find love. What an original idea, get idiots with money and fix them up with women whos only true quality is that they want money for nothing.

"Bravo" to you Bravo tv for the worst television show!

Here is a great spin off for you, how about The Millionare Pet Matchmaker!

I was really unhappy to see an all-too-familiar (reality TV) face show up in this episode. One of the ladies interviewed ... "DALLAS" ... obviously has two clear agendas. (1) Marry someone / anyone famous and (2) Become a reality TV "star." This girl has been on "Rock of Love - Season 2" and "Rock of Love - Charm School." On both shows she was one of the trouble-making bad girls and enjoyed every minute of it, even to the point of getting into a physical altercation with other contestants on both shows. She was one of the first bounced off both shows. I am surprised that when selecting candidates for their millionaire clients, this girl got past a background check. Even a basic one would have shown her as having been on other shows. What kind of "standards" does Patty have that this one got through the door and on top of it additional air time, where she complained about it being a waste of her time.

Lol.

The only thing that saves this show is Patti's smart sense to keep the 50 year old men wanting to date young 20 year old women.

Other than that, before even watching an episode, it comes off as superficial (ie as soon as I hear "Who wants to marry a millionaire" I interpret that as "Which one of you females want to marry for money" hence labelling herself as a golddigger.

Whoever wrote the slogan for this commercials of this show is trying to appeal to the audience that is far more intelligent to be hooked into such a shallow concept as only millionaires are featured.

What does hold my interest to this reality show is that it features glimpses of the persons involved and Patti's strict direction of her morals when matchmaking. She is after all really a borderline madame running a glorified escort service on national tv. She is smart in her choice of words when dictating what should or should not be.

I'd suggest including clientele that includes the common person? I highly doubt she will, she being the servant of millionaires, tells you what she's after. smile.gif

Some of the stories seem contrived, the behaviors of the men, time after time seem planned (always going for the young chicks.) The "99% sucess rate" is an exaggeration (or that how it's coming off of as.) This show is cardboardish and after a few shows, unless they pick up some 'realness' somewhere, it'll be time for me to move on.

Again, my 2 cents.

I have to agree with some of the previous comments. This show is superficial on so many levels. I have to laugh at Patty's so-called "rules". Who is going to know if there is sex between a dating couple? Surely the cameras don't follow the couple around 24/7? I'm sure this rule is there to "elevate" Patty from being compared to a Madam or Pimp, but it appears to me to be a precarious balancing act from what I've viewed.

Most of the cattle calls for the so-called "A-team" girls produce a bunch of bimbos who clearly are interested only in money, just as the men are primarily interested in young eye and arm candy. I suppose in that respect the show works. The girls get an expensive date out, and the men get a pretty young thing to show off. But true love? Please.

I also get a little put-off by Patty's continual reference to the "penis" and the "picker". It makes me want to recite "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.." every time I hear her go off on that tangent. Hmmm... how about "Patty picked a pickled peck of penis pickers.."

I'll be changing to other channels during my treadmill time each evening. This show is not a keeper for me.

This show is FABULOUS! Patti is FABULOUS! Its so obvious to the viewer that each one of the men has something major wrong with him, even if it is just shyness. Most of them just don't get it, that's why they're single. They remind me of men I used to date and I wanted to bang my head on the wall. I love it how Patti tells them how it is - and they actually listen, sometimes. When they don't, oh well, they can explain it to their mothers why they're still single.

I don't care what you say, Patti has the answers. Her skirts may be too short, but you can sit her by me any time!

What happened to the other lady that worked with them last season?

Just in case the producers DO read these, PLEASE RENEW THIS SHOW FOREVER!! After reading the other posts, whoa, people are crazy. I guess most viewers are totally satisfied and don't feel the need to write in, but kudos to those who have nothing better to do. Personally, I should be in bed like my husband and child, but I'm here writing to all of you. Hmm. But anyway, I guess we all love seeing these people on TV. I like the psychology of this show, I like to think about the people and its a lot like what we all go/went thru. Unlike something like 'rock of love' for which I've only seen a commercial, I think the people are relatively sane. Maybe its the love story or the thrill of the chase, maybe I'm bored but that's OK. I can't sew either but boy I've never missed an episode of Project Runway. Did they really cancel that?

People may think these men are exceptions, but they're just like every man I ever knew. It's not just being rich that makes them that way. If men have ANY way to leverage only dating 20-something women with flawless youth and manufactured bodies like on the magazines, they will. If they can't, a lot of them will make foolish tradeoffs for it.

The Matchmaker has it mostly right, I think. She knows why they do it, which are mostly shallow reasons and reasons to do with thinking of younger women as being more pliable, which won't last long if they're with a d**k like some of these guys. This is what makes women lose their innocent sweetness.

One sure fire way to know you're going to get dumped when you near 40 and be stranded from there on out is to marry a man who only dates flawless youth. If only women could understand that before they waste their best years with one. If that is their priority, they will simply trade them in for a younger model, and because the men are losing their appeal, each trade-in will be less and less appropriate, because they will compromise anything but looks. So think about that before you have kids with a guy like this, because their future stepmoms are going to be pieces of work.

I totally disagree with Patti's views on looks....is narrow minded to think every man wants a women with LONG hair, STILLETOS, SEXI DRESS.... this is like mass production and has to be absolutely BORING! What about a sexy confident short haired flat shoes girl??? She might be more interesting after the second date... Besides, these millionaires must be TIRED of the same thing all the time.....how about REAL reality, variety and even Patti might be surprised. They might be looking for someone that besides dressing can also think.

Just started watching the show a few weeks ago, when the new season started. I love it!

Patti tells it like it is and pulls no punches. I think she's great at what she does. Really enjoying watching her staff - Chelsea, Destin and Rachel - work with Patti.

As woman over 40, I applaud Patti for bringing ageism into focus. I hope the focus continues, because ageism is an unfortunate fact.

Two of her staff, appear to be dating and in a very committed relationship. Patti is clearly putting the cattle prod to Destin to pop the question. I hope her powers of persuation work with two people that work with her. After all, she is a Matchmaker with a 99% success rate! I hope that during the season Destin proposes to Rachel. What a cute couple!

Hooked on this show big time!

Patti says during the intro of the show that she has a "99% success rate" hellooooooooooo!! If you watch the show, you know that is far from the truth!!!! Why isn't she married, or at least engaged? It's like the old story goes- the cobbler's children have no shoes. It always scares me when I go to a new hair styllist and their hair looks crazy. She really needs to get engaged - she seems less and less potent the longer her ring finger remains naked. Also, I forget her office manager's name but he is creepy- his canine teeth are far too sharp for any human. Patti's hair is sooooooooo shiny!

I don't envy the job of the producers, Patti and the writers to try to get this show going.

i like the change in the way trailers feature this show but it needs to be picked up more. The very mention of botox made me cringe. I don't know why. I almost feel sorry for the millionaires looking for a wife on this show..they're full of botox! lol, just kidding. Botox = artificial = fake. Who wants a fake woman for a wife, I don't know.

I agree with the previous posts of the cookie cutter image that Patti creates for all the females should conform to. Narrowminded and I remember thinking that too...how would you keep ppl from having sex onthe first date? Lol and would they tell you? Thus imho, Pattis says this to keep herself from falling into a madame sort of image in the public's eye.

I am not sure if the marketing style for the commericials are changed permanently but they need reworking still. I like it better, I like what's said aobut the men but not about the women. Please, no more mention of botox, ewwwwww. tongue.gif

I also think Patti is awesome. She is kind hearted and honest. She is not going to lie to someone to make a buck, and that has my complete respect.

I am 47 and single and I have to agree that it is next to impossible to date someone my age. Many of them are either divorced and want to have more kids, or never married and want kids still. Obviously, that isn't going to happen for me unless I adopt.

I am totally not interested in younger guys whatsoever, and much older than my age and I look like I am dating my dad. I was married for 2 years to a guy that was almost 10 years older, and I am sure that people thought I was his daughter.
He also had health problems that he did not disclose to me before we got married! We have been divorced a year and he is already remarried (for a 6th time, which should tell us something). So I thought people could change. Shame on me!

Anyway, yeah, I really like Patti a lot. If anyone has noticed, she follows a lot of "The Rules" (remember those?)

One of the girls - Samantha - was adorable! I'd like to see her get hooked up with her millionaire and hope she is featured on more episodes. Lawrence - what a loser!

Props to Samantha for turning him down!

In this episode, Lawrence took his date to a clothing store. Does anyone know what the name of the store was?
