I can't believe Patti said that a woman is not successful if she is grown and is still in college.... I am a 30 year old female who has owned two luxury homes and was very successful in my first career and am now back in school getting my Nurse Anesthetist degree... Patti, I love your show and watch religiously, but I gotta tell ya hun, a grown woman can be in college and be successful ;-)

Jimmy's date, Kara, was on Mama's Boys. I remember she had a meltdown because she didn't get any dates.

come on.. everyone is beautiful and unique in his and her own way... what kind of world would we have if we all looked alike???? (can't assume everyone is going to be gorgeous if we all looked alike wink wink) :-)

it took me a while to figure out which other show she had been on but it finally clicked. She is not the brightest bulb in the bunch from what we saw on Mama's Boys. I bet she never told Patti she was a reality show reject.

Ths episode was hilarious. Do any of you remeber cara from momma's boys? She got eliminated on the show and threw a major temper tantrum. I agree with jimmey d. She is crazy. I believe she is an some type of anti-depressant pill or on speed. Jimmey acts like the typical new yorker bada bing. He has a profound narcissitic personality disorder. Matt was funny. I loved it when patty called him a court jester.

But isn't Patti really, really ugly?

Patti is the biggest HYPOCRITE on TV. She faults Jimmy D for informing her that Cara is batshit crazy (which is the truth and Patti should be grateful for the warning so she can remove Cara from the dating pool) but Patti TRASHES her clients continuously on each episode.

Also, Patti is nearly 50 and is single! And she's a matchmaker?? Who is she to advise successful people, then fault them for not taking her every word as gospel? Patti is WAY too full of herself. She needs to glance in the mirror and check herself. Enjoy the cats beeyotch because I don't see marriage in YOUR future!

Of course due to editing you didn't see everything Jimmy D said about the wacko girl he went out with. I didn't think what aired was trashing her. I also think that girl was way more intoxicated than he was and hope Patti sees this in the episode. The girl was seriously on another planet, I mean she started out allright a little over the top and that's okay, but she seriously acted like she was on drugs or something by the time she got in the lemo after dinner.
Also, that girl should have listened to Patti's cardinal rules one of which is NOT to discuss Religion/Politics during courting dates......you set yourself up for getting your feelings hurt on those subject lines.

Way to go Matt. I loved him more and more the entire episode and thought he did a fantastic job on his date. It was very creative and impressive and he's so charming. I really hope that relationship works and wish Matt and his date all the best!!!

The first thing was Matt's name! However, on our first date, coffee in the afternoon that ran into drinks and dinner, my Matt opened all of the doors for me. He literally ran around the car to let me out. Yup, that was what got me!! He is a 40 yr old perfect gentleman which makes me care less that he is 5'' shorter than me or his money. He is just a really nice man. I am no model either, am 5 yrs his senior and have a medical disability. I come from a high society background but once I left home it was up to me to fend for myself and I did.

I am just so blessed that I met my own Matt and he had already been to chivalry school; his Jewish mother's school of raising her sons correctly!

There is a lot of bashing in this blog....but the truth is that Patti owes Jimmy D an apology. That is the right "etiquette" for Patti. But seriously, would she admit her faults... or just lay it on the man because of her lack of success in that arena.

Cara, as stated in so many blog items below, has been on Momma's boys and showed her lack of mental acuity on both shows.

Patti, has now showed that she shows preference for "any" woman regardless of the womans shortcomings.

So Patti, make amends with Jimmy D publicly and then your credibility will return.

Overall I like Patti, despite the fact that she is tough and sometimes too judgemental, she gets the job done. Unfortunately in this type of business that's just what you gotta do. However in tonight's episode, Patti made a big mistake on finding the right date for Jimmy.
Ok so this guy is a typical east-coast daigo and an over-the-top "cockadoo" with a great deal of pride, but he is not stupid, he is in fact a very smart guy or else he would not make all that fortune. He meets most of the women in a bar/club, imagine the type of women who visit bar often and you would know the reason why he is sick of dating the same airhead/superfacial bimbos. Somehow like the last episode, these type of guys tend to talk the talk, "one is good, five is better". Secretly he needs a sweetheart who perhaps is a bit timid but surprisingly intelligent that distinguishes herself from the typical bar scene women. With such a strong personality, you simply cannot throw another "cockadoo" at one another or they would be intimidated by each other. Not to mention this woman is clearly crazy, who unfortunately is actually quite ordinary, and it's a shame Patti neglects that fact.

I have never come to a message board let alone post on one. As a avid reality show fan tho, I had to come and see if I was the only one who thinks this way.

She has to be the ugliest single hypocrite to ever make 20k advising handsome single millionaires how to change themself and comprimise and choose those regular women who she has also advised into acting like they are someone else.

And I find her claim of 99pct sucess rate rediculious. The only way she could even come close to that is if she just doesn't count the clients she makes so mad they just quit her (I am sure she probably tells herself 'she' just couldn't work with them).

The other episode where the millionairess beauty chick tried to give her some much needed tips, Patti bashed the heck out of her.

Please Patti, do take a look at yourself and change not just what is on the outside (and do all of Bravo's viewers a big favor) but on the inside as well.

But I do have to say I haven't enjoyed hating someone so much since Kate stoped being so mean to John.

Okay. All three behaved badly. Cara is crazy - not up for debate, the girl needs serious help (and if you haven't had the "pleasure" of hearing her sing, consider yourself blessed). Jimmy is a jerk ("One woman is good but five is better"?! THERE'S a charmer). And Patti was automatically biased because she knew for certain that Jimmy was, indeed, a jerk but didn't know Cara was a closet- case psycho/total airhead. So sorries all around and Jimmy and Cara - there's the door. Cara, no... THE DOOR. The rectangle thingie that you came in through, sweetie.

I saw cara on Momma's Boys too. She is crazy and not in the fun way... I think she goes to the salon every other day to have new tape added to her eyelids to keep them popped open so wide all the time... Patti should remove her from her list...

So, this is my first time ever to comment on a TV show. We love Millionare Matchmaker, but felt like we had to comment on crazy Kara. We immediately recognized her from Mama's Boys and couldn't believe she snuck passed Patti's radar! We were relieved to see so many others noticed her too! I am sure Patti now knows that Jimmy hit the nail on the head with this one....even though he has his own issues- this poor girl needs help. We love the show, obviously so many others do, too! We love reading everyone's comments.

Oh my how could Patti miss this one, even though Jimmy D was a bit much himself in interview, on the date he was the sane one. Cara should not be allowed on dating shows unless it is for our pure entertainment, she needs some help, it was a little scary watching her nearly having a nervous breakdown on national TV on "Mama's Boys" because she couldnt get a date. I think Patti owes Jimmy D an apology, clearly it may not be nice to call someone crazy on your first date, but in her case it was justified. Cara get some help girl! Other than this episode Patti I think you are right on the money keep up the good work!

I don't think Patty is ugly, but I do think she needs a makeover. That hairstyle is ridiculous. Her skirts are way too short for a woman of her size and age. I noticed in this episode when her skirt was hiked up and she had her legs crossed that she has a lot of cellulite on her thighs. I'm not faulting her for that, but she really needs to dress like a businesswoman and not like a teenager.

Her success rate on this show has been abysmal - how many times have we seen the little summaries at the end of the show where the millionaire and the date didn't go out again, or are no longer dating?

If Patty has 99% success rate, why isn't she going to a lot of weddings?

If Patty is "doing god's work," why does she charge so much money? Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha didn't charge for "doing god's work."

Why does that strange-looking man working for Patty have that hairdo? He would scare any normal clients away.

The show intro says 99% success rating... I've watched about 10 shows and by my rough calculations there is about a 50% match success. I'm not a matmatician but this just doesn't make any sense at all?

Hopefully, someone can enlighten me as to how this could ever be possible?

As i revert back to the old childhood saying, if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all! Patti is pretty in her own way and she has a great personality, i am sure you must be looking like madonna over there to judge everyone else.

There seem to be some bizarre people here, so I will fit right in.

First to comments on Patti's looks says more about your insecurities than anything else. Everyone has different tastes.

On to this episode. This guy Jimmy has to be the biggest tool I have ever seen. I cringed every time he opened his mouth. And to comment on the person upstream who tagged him as east coast, wrong, he is pure Midwest poseur. He was pretty much called out when it was revealed he didn't even speak Italian, in spite of his act.

His type is a dime a dozen in Chicago, the type that surrounds themselves with sycophants who reinforce their delusions of grandeur.

The girl was a bit effervescent, but who didn't know that observing her, her spirit was obvious from the start. What he wanted was the typical Chicago Polish girl who is subservient and will allow him to do all the talking. I think that was the biggest problem he had with her, she didn't talk about him, or let him talk about him (in the third person no less) enough.

I thought Matt was cool and well grounded. Not someone who needed to prove himself to everyone, and I thought they made a good couple.

As to the absurd notion that Patti owes the tool and apology, it is just that. He made an ass of himself by opening his mouth.

She may consider a refund to underscore the obvious fact that having money does not assure class, the obtainment of both being the true embodiment of a "millionaire".

Do you judge everyone by their looks? If you do, pity poor you!

Only the weirdos who dress like Eddie Munster...the guy even had fangs in his mouth a couple of episodes ago. Is wearing fangs at the office (not on Halloween) sane?

Hey, here's some advice for free to Matt's Lady. If he is 40 and is giving you a "promise ring" then run for the hills, he is not going to marry you. Promise Rings are for teenagers who aren't ready to be married, not middle-aged men who should know better. Chivalry is nice and a nice bonus, but you have to look at the person and not be fooled by the bells and whistles. At your age(s) you know when you have found the one and you move on it. He is stringing you along. I am sorry but it is true. Find someone who can't live without you NOW, not somewhere when you all are 50 and 60 or never...

I appreciate point that many adult women attend college after beginning their careers, but Patti is statistically correct that most Americans go to college directly out of high school.

Actually, I have heard Patti say on more than one occasion that she thinks that educataion is very important. I do not think she as attacking educated women. I think she is saying that the college lifestyle that MOST women in college enjoy is not conducive to a long-term relationship. And she's right.

I think Patti was making a comment about a woman's age and lifestyle more than saying that a college student cannot be in a good relationships. Also, most women in college are leading a temporary lifestyle that will change radically when they graduate; not the best conditions for a relationshiip.

I am an educated woman and attended an ivy league school. I was a smart young lady, but not ready for a relationship at that time.

You represent everything that is wrong with this culture. Patti is an attractive, intelligent, successful businesswoman, and all you can do is trash her for not looking like she's a 22 years old wasp.

I was STUNNED that she is 47 years old. She looks amazing and looks much younger. She also has a beautiful, healthy looking body. Her advice about men is SPOT ON. I am a feminist, but everything she says about chivalry and its effect on women is 100% correct as we saw from Matt's date.

I've also noticed that people who are really vicious about other people's looks are usually unattractive and insecure themselves. You deserve to be alone.

Get a life and a soul.

I think that Jimmy D is fabulous! That girl was "off" and he just told it like it was. I have know him most of my life and he has always been real. Love to Naperville!

People keep saying that Patti doesn't screen people, well DUH she isn't trying at all. I sent her an email regarding someone I saw on a PORN site who was on this show, its the chick that went out with Lonny last season. She said she was a lingerie model, well trust me what I saw she is much more then that.

Hello! First of all let me say thank you to all of the Patti-lovers out there! I too love Patti and her no-nonsense style with her clients (though I thought she let shallow Shauna get to her- she wasn't worth the effort Patti)!

It's pretty clear the people that seek her assistance her need help! If they had the skills to find someone on their own, they wouldn't need her. So if you go to someone seeking their help you should listen to the advise and use the strategies they put in place for you!

I think her clients are used to having things their way (or the highway) so they resist her. Why pay someone $20,000 and then spend your time disagreeing and resisting?! As for her success rate, did you ever stop to think that we only see a fraction of her clients on tv?! Maybe the success rate lies in the off air matches.

On the bachelors in last week's episode- Jimmy D was straight out of central casting (like a character from Saturday Night Live) and Matt was borderline obnoxious! It really got under my skin when the young lady he chose stated a guy "always" opening the door is not that important to her. Women like her are the reason guys don't feel chivalry isn't important any more!

It is important, it sets a standard on how you want a man to treat you! If he sees that that's important, he'll know you require respect in other parts of your relationship with him. Don't brush off chivalry ladies, it doesn't make you seem weak or helpless, it let's a man feel important and masculine! Goodness knows we've taken away just about every bit of masculinity they have, let them open door 9and teach your son't to to it too)!

Before I start: My picker sees good qualities in both Jimmy D and Hatch...though they both started out appearing very egotistical. In my view, Jimmy D reacted to his date in the best way he knew how considering his overall personality type. I mean, drunk or otherwise, Kara was extremely outlandish, and Jimmy saw her true colors. Maybe he'll be discouraged from choosing a stereotypical woman in the future.
Likewise, Hatch had his own flaws in the sense that he assumed that everyone is constantly vying for his presence in their lives. Still, I agree with his point that our generation consists of many more independently-minded, take the lead-type women in their 20's (like myself) who want the man to be a bit less traditional so that we can be assertive. Note to Patti: That trait is sexy too. What's wrong with equality between the man and woman rather than one having to be submissive to the other?

Umm thank you for the unsolicited advice. *I* used the term promise ring as I couldn't think of a better term for a committment ring. We have known each other 6 months, are not middle aged these days, and yesterday became engaged with a date set.

Actually Patti had breast reduction surgery. These episodes were taped last summer and they showed her before and after. I happen to think she's attractive maybe because I'm Jewish and she is too. What makes her unattractive is not her looks, its her b**chy personality. Thats why I won't date a Jewish woman.

I too have wondered about Patti's office staff. The guy with the tattoos and spikey hair is not really the image I'd want to present to customers who pay twenty grand for Patti's so-called services. He might be a darned nice guy, but first impressions count in most businesses where you have a customer base. The other girl seems okay, but she really does kiss Patti's posterior. (Probably has to if she wants to keep her job.) When she told Patti how much younger she looked compared to the 40-something millionairess on the video, I laughed out loud. Patti isn't butt-ugly, but she wears those hooker platform heels (and tells other women that is what they need to wear too), mini-skirts, and could stand to lose a pound or two.

I thought the episode where Patti bashed the millionairess, actually calling her the "B" word, was very unprofessional, unbecoming and made Patti look jealous and petty. Personally I thought the woman was attractive and a whole lot classier than Patti. Patti had her claws out as soon as the woman mentioned Patti could use a makeover.

The episode with "Crazy Kara" made me laugh out loud. Even though I thought Jimmy D. was a wannabe-mobster (drop the third person reference, Jimmy... nobody really talks that way outside an old 1930's gangster movie), I did think he was spot on when it came to Kara. She IS a complete looney tune. Patti had best take that girl out of the gene pool.

I couldn't agree more with everything Hatch said in the section of the show where she had him meet with her and that other woman. Opening a door is one thing but insisting on ordering for a woman and not letting her make her own order even after she says she wants to herself, is ridiculous. Then she goes on to ridicule strong women. She should be ashamed of herself. Too many men out there treat women like children. I rather be a strong self sufficient woman who can handle things for myself and single then be a child and in a relationship just because some guys can't handle women being themselves and equal. News flash for you "match maker", there are no gender roles. If there was we'd ALL be programed with them and it just isn't that way, society invented those so called roles many years ago. If you take a look around, they've pretty much all been broken considering women finally fought back against it and decided to be who they each individually truly are. I prefer to be myself with everybody. I am not a controlling person but I have seen controlling men and they tend to be the ones who won't let the woman talk to the waiter herself, order for herself, etc. I agree with a previous reply about grown women being in college. I know many women and men who have gone to college as adults for many reasons. Most going back after already having obtained a degree in the past.
I also agree with previous posts that say she owes Jimmy D an apology. Though ditzy airheads seem to be the types of women she wants for the guys she's setting up. I don't want to put down Kara as I do not know her but she came off as an air head before their private date. I don't think alcohol was to blame and as an adult she should know how to drink so she doesn't act like anything but herself. Jimmy was in the right all the way.

So maybe he made the millions in side games but my guess is D'Ambrosio is technically a millionaire because he owns many successful bars and restaurants in the Chicagoland area.

I doubt this obvious and demonstrably false resume padding is D'Ambroiso doing alone. TV producers blow things out of proportion to make a better story (shocking, I realize) and print reporters are no better (consider the ace fact checking that went into an article that cites ESPN's World Poker Tour). But still there are only 105 millionaires on the WPT. How hard could it be to look it up?

I think Jimmy D is super hot but would never want to marry him and its hard to believe he s a Millionare because he talks and acts as stupid as a tree stump..but would love to bang the hell out of him..he talks of his ass but we never get to see it...hed make a better escort...

Jeesh, I was just watching this on accident and had to come here to see if other people thought that girl was a fruit loop! Jesus, what a dope. I have seen muppets that were more interesting. Damn.

I just watched this for the first time the other day. Quite by accident.

A match maker that is single? Patty is rude and obnoxious. I would NEVER pay someone like her money to do anything for me let alone find me a date.

She took these clients to restaurants and then proceeded to loudly go on and on about their penises with her hand gestures. I would have been devastated, demanded my money back and walked out. The bartender was embarrassed for the guy. You could see it on his face.

She really needs to quit wearing those short dresses too. Her cottage cheese thighs are just nasty when she sits down. The shoes have to go to.

I can't believe Bravo gave this woman a show.

I am h ooked on this show because it is a train wreck pseudo fantasy thing. Young simply gorgeous chick falls madly in love with man aka rich guy.

I forgot to comment on Jimmy. Jimmy D' is so full of himself. Maybe he is hot stuff where he lives and king of the bowling alleys, I mean night clubs but talking in the 3rd person is just plain stupid. He needs a wake up call. No one talks like a pirate. He had a George C. thing going on.

Also some of the guys have pointed out that Patty does talk alot about the man part *P. What is her deal about that? Sure men are attracted to women first by what they look like, that doesn't mean the *P rules the mind.

I had to see if other people remembered seeing Cara on Momma's Boys & sure enough...Overall, I find MM very entertaining and Patti is usually pretty right on with her general assessment of the guys. It does seem she lately that she is desperate to get that match even if in her heart of hearts she knows it's not going to work. I mean, Sex Toy Dave's second date with that disgusting eye licker? THAT is not the kind of girl Dave is looking for. He wants a normal girl that also has a wild side...not someone who is totally wild and rarely normal. And lucky for him in LA there are a lot of pam anderson wannabes floating around. If Patti was trying to prove a point, fine...but that episode was cringe-worthy and how that kind of girl ended up in Patty's database I'll never understand. And back to Cara - Did Patti really not know that Cara had been on another reality show before? She was crazy on that show and was on MM too. And conveniently Cara was Italian & Polish and blond and EXACTLY what Jimmy was looking for. And even though he was totally cocky on the interview, he seemed very down to earth on the date and toned down his act. I felt bad for him...he was very uncomfortable in the same way Sex Toy Dave seemed. I have to say during this episode I for the first time thought maybe the entire show was a sham. I'm naive, yes, but really...is there a pool of bad "actors" that bounce from one reality show to the next pretending to be whatever it is that will make them the focal point of these shows? I happen to only like Bravo's shows of reality TV because they are entertaining. And if Patti wasn't smart or calling it like she sees it this show would be unwatchable...there needs to be more couples like Heidi and Bill, but then, that would be too normal and I'm sure wouldn't be shocking enough for good "reality" TV. I thought the date with Jimmy and the blonde was absolutely hysterical. I watch the program for its entertainment value and this episode did not disappoint. When the date couldn't pronounce "Malibu" (it took four times?), that was my tip-off. Then onto the Getty Museum and finally the coupe de grace-- she's a scientologist. I was on the floor!! Jimmy seemed to be more-or-less "normal," however, this was one ba-a-a-d match.
