I'm a little less than happy that they've chosen the Mr. Handbag guy. He was not my favorite. Wasn't he the guy that sold some of Thom's furniture selections on ebay? (correct me if I'm wrong...)
What about all the other wonderful guys? Couldn't they have chosen Sean? Or the mullet man? I'd even choose poor sad Warren over Mr. Handbag. sigh.
But they didn't ask me, did they?
To fill in time before the episode actually airs... I'll ask -
Who would you have chosen?

Mr. Handbag sold the furniture on E-Bay?! Why?!
I did a post on the fan forum on who I'd pick. One of them was John K. the older gentleman who lost his wife. He was such a sweet man and I wish he was on. And I was really hoping for Kevin Downey Jr. as his place was pretty bad and I would like to know if he was still engaged to his girlfriend or if they are married now.

Weren't all the people chosen from the first season? I don't know, but if they were from the second season, where the *bleep* was Sean?! I'm with you Caseygrrl! Sean would be so much better than Mr. Handbag (do we even know what his name is anymore?) !

It was all second season, apart from Jeff Toale who I guess counts as second season, maybe, because he was in that batch of episodes filmed after the show started airing, not in the original run. First season peeps were in the first Christmas special (Butch, John&Tina, etc). I'm very disappointed Richard Miller wasn't included, maybe Mullet Mark and OCD Kevin too.

Okay, my turn to take a swing!! I think it is appalling and what's worse is he's on the Thanksgiving show!!! I think it's insulting! And we can only hope that Thom had a talk with him maybe off camera......and gave him a nice karate chop as well!!!!

Ted: We have come together this Thanksgiving to give thanks for all that we have been given this year and in the years past.
Jeff: I would also like to say thanks to the Fab 5 for helping me out. I'm sure the other guys feel the same.
David G: *cough* Sorry, I'm just choking a little bit on my turkey.
Thom: Well, anyway, I would like to say thanks to the guys for making this year so much fun and to the people who came for coming and providing us with some entertainment as we made your life better.
David G: *cough, cough* Sorry, choking on the empinadas.
Mrs. Handbag: *cough* Sorry, choking on the yams.
Carson: Well, now that we've given thanks, we can START eating.
David G: Anyone ready for a second helping? (JG sneaks into the room and smacks him upside the head) Ow! (he looks at Mrs. Handbag) Why'd you hit me?
Handbag Lady: I didn't do anything. Just get your food and sit down, get some for me too.
The disrespect probably went further than selling the furniture, he's gone back to cutting his hair with scissors again, probably rusty. Who knows what else he's done?

YEA!! GREAT EPISODE FELLAS!! WELCOME BACK, WE MISSED YA!
The board is being very problematic for me tonight, so I'll post specific comments later. But I'll say that it was great to see the straight guys (and families) again, the Fab 5 looked wonderful as usual, and dang I missed them!!!

All of David's furniture looked intact to me. I think you're thinking of Andrew -- he put up his coffee table on eBay (I don't know how he had the nerve, considering that he's the one who actually works with Thom. Dumb move any way you look at it *shakes her head*).

JG walks in the room, puts down her stuff and clears her throat to make an announcement: "Ahem. I would like to present myself to the group, no longer as an Angel, but as a CIT. Angels, I bid you farewell and wish you luck. We will still be wonderful friends, but I am hanging up my halo and taking off my wings. CITs, hey! We're going to have a party!! Let's break out the club couture and go!"
Now, for the episode:
First of all, I love empinadas and snaps to the Bravos for bringing them!
Mrs. Handbag's crutches?! Well, at least they matched her outfit, but that pink is way to bright!!
I love the brown aprons!! (BTW, when I meet Carson, that's the color of my shirt)
I feel the need to stress that after watching the guys' houses, Thom=genius
Does anybody else hear the 007 theme song?? Jai and Thom's invasion and Carson and Kyan's invasion..."Secret Agent Man"
I thought the Goldmans got rid of the furniture! It looked like it was all there, so who was it that got rid of the furniture?
David G's dinosaur was kind of scary. Not scary as in "Run away!" but scary as in weird. How old is this guy?! 3? I know that when I was 3, my brother asked me how a T-Rex walked and I demonstrated it (we have pictures, not a pretty sight! Grr). To make it a little better, he jumped on Thom! (where's TTB, Tomasulo, and Luvsthom?!)
I know the white on Jai's shirt was a design, but I thought it looked more like some flour was thrown on him.
Okay, when I watched the Bravo ep, I must have missed the wrestling with Carson! But I have to say I love the look on his face!
Bravo invasion...David looks so mad!! There's mold in the hampers?! EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW EW
When Carson had the Bravos work on the napkins, I got the idea that they were looking at it like "Crafts?! Women's work!"
Where did Kyan get his fashion sense for the Toule invasion? I love the hat!!
OMG! Jeff's. Guitar. OMG! That was so cool!
Jai's garnet drink=drink for all ages!
Okay, in the part where they were talking about other SGs, they could have done some guys that weren't there other than Mark Fa., the Zimmermans, John K, and that one guy that I can't remember his name! Not that I didn't like seeing them (I haven't seen Mark's ep so that was nice), but there were some others that I would have liked to see, like Sean. (Actually during the commercials, I was practicing my one-handed juggling with two baseballs and I almost threw one at the TV when they finished and then my mom walked in)
Kyan's thanks was so nice! If I wasn't already cried out from my scare today, I would have cried!
Snaps once again to Jeff for the song! I love that the guys got involved with clapping or snapping! "Cheers Queers!"
Ted: "So much to do-and we're already drinking!"
Ted: "Carson! No!"
Carson: "Swan song"
Kyan: "Thom, get down before you hurt yourself honey" (I love the "honey" part!)
Ted: "You've had your share of tying legs together Kyan" (Kinky!)
Jai: "Oh, Bambi! Hi!"
Jeff: "Just don't go against the grain!"
Thom's hip tip for the day: "Fruit...you invite to dinner..."
Ted: "Hey straight guys!"
Wonderful episode guys!! Nice to see you again! (JG starts whining) Don't ever leave me again!! *Sniffle*

I have to agree with what luvisthom, et al, have already posted on the Jeff T. thread...Jeff's song was amazing. And the little clips of previous shows brought tears to my eyes. Especially John K. and Joan at The Rainbow Room when she whispers "now you're on top of the world". Oh, the memories the SG's and Fab 5 have given us!!!!

I am not ashamed to say that yes, I did indeed scream like a 16 year old girl at a BSB concert - and yes I screamed at the concert too.
Seeing Thom and the boys again was like walking out of a catacomb into fresh air. And OMG did Thom ever look H-O-T!! And his smile...it animates his whole face! The waves are back in full force and I had to keep propping myself back up in my chair because I kept sliding out everytime they showed him...SIGH~ I feel so GOOD today!
All the guys really looked great...from what I can remember - ok ok, so I was mostly focused on Thom. Alright! I confess! I was almost exclusively focused on Thom! Anybody catch what he said during the hip tip? I was so focused that my hearing went out.
Overall, loved the show and yes, there did seem to be a heightened sense of comraderie but then they've been together over a year now.
Talk more later!

I read on another board that one of the guys said that Kevin and Matilda have indeed gotten married and sent the guys some wedding pictures. Also, I read on (I think) Kevin's website that Thom recommended that they move from that place he was in because it was a fire trap. Not sure if they've moved yet.

Let's see...first of all you can get those iron ons at any craft store. (Ex: JoAnn fabrics) They also have the crystal versions too with the little jeweled stones. Very inexpensive.
As for the salad, he used the grapes, a can of pineapple, walnuts, marshmellows and whipped cream. I think that was all the ingredients. Hope that helps.
I loved this show!! I love when they revisit the sg's. The look of surprise on their faces when they answered the door. If they knew they were coming and that was all acting, they all deserve an emmy. As other people have mentioned, I wish they had visited Kevin D. I'm dying to know if he has been able to keep his place clean. I'm actually shocked that they didn't have Richard the toupee guy on the show. I thought he would be a definite revisit.
And Thom...that guy is just simply beautiful. I'm so happy his wavy hair is back. (and that he wasn't wearing that aweful tartan suit.lol) It's a good thing I'm so obsessive that I always tape the episodes cause I'm always so mesmersized by him that I miss a lot of what is going on. I always rewatch it immediately after I watch it the first time. I'm crazy.

First the ambrosia--can't remember all or proportions but... grapes (2 bunches) halved marshmallows, nuts (walnuts, pecans?) whipped cream. I think there was something else but...
Now to the episode. What I loved best is the guys taking on different roles in some cases--Kyan and Jai doing recipes--that drink looked SO yummy, orange juice cubes, pomegranet juice and bubbles, right?
Thom, Kyan, Carson doing decorating, center pieces, place settings.
At times I thought some of the guys were a little left out but then they all came back with something new. Loved the football game, hated the wrassling. Can't the Bravo boys do ANYTHING else?
Jeff Toale's guitar, song were out of sight! I didn't find the Goldmans that bad other than the part about the tongue scraper and it's funky smell. ICK!
It was funny how David Bravo seemed so pissed off when Carson and Kyan showed up. Was he the one that stopped writing to the boards because Note asked so many questions? They are truly a couple of my least favorites although they were a little better as the evening went on (except for the infernal wrassling).
I thought overall everything was great. Brining the turkey was a new one for me. And I'd like to try those chipotle yams. I don't think the Toale kids were too impressed with the taste of them.
More after I watch it again. I admit I had to tape it and was watching at 11 last night--way past the bedtime of a non-morning person who had to get up for work this morning.
Happy turkey day to all,
Cheers,

Thanks everyone! I'm glad you understand. I need all the hugs!
Especially since yesterday I almost killed myself driving home. I was driving down the freeway, going ten under because it was raining really hard, dark, and one of the lanes on the road was closed for roadwork. I was coming up on the people in front of me really fast so I put on the brakes and they didn't work...I kept going and it seemed like I sped up. The tires were so wet that no matter how hard I pressed on the brakes, nothing happened. I swerved into the other lane (that wasn't closed yet) just in time to avoid missing the other car. I ended up missing it by about two feet and luckily there wasn't a car in the other lane. I scared myself so much that I ended up crying the rest of the way home, another 45 minutes. When I got home, I collapsed into my dad's arms crying and when he found out, he proceeded to tell me that it was all my fault. Then when my brother found out, he laughed at me! I was so scared...

Oh, JG how awful and scary!!! Why do parents so often say the completely wrong thing at the wrong time? Not to mention your brother.
To put the best face on it, maybe they were both so scared they reacted that way 'cause they didn't know how to react with sensitivity. Still--you know your family and if this is typical of their reactions I can only say I am SO SO sorry.
I'll give thanks tonight and tomorrow too that you are okay. We wouldn't know what to do without your passion and your creativity.

I've seen bits & pieces of Kyan's ambrosia recipe here (or as I think he called it through that heavy southern accent, "Heavenly Delight"). I just watched that part of the episode again, and here it is ...
Kyan first notes that in Southern cooking, nobody measures anything. (But, neither does my mother & she's not southern.)
Anyway...
Take 2 bunches of red seedless grapes that have been cut in half.
Add canned pineapple, mix.
Add marshmellows that have been cut in quarters, mix.
Add as many walnuts or pecans as you want, mix.
Add whipping cream to whatever texture you choose, and mix
Put in refrigerator to chill.
Personal notes:
Note that Kyan is folding the mix with a spatula, and not doing a hard mix.
He didn't say whether or not the pineapple was in juice or syrup. It looked to me like it was crushed pineapple with some of the juice but perhaps not all. (Personally, I prefer natural juice over heavy syrup.)
When I make ambrosia I use mini-marshmellows. It's bad enough to have to cut grapes in half, I ain't gonna cut up marshmellows!

The tires were so wet that no matter how hard I pressed on the brakes, nothing happened. ...
That, my dear, is called "hydroplaning". I rear-ended someone doing that a few years back. It was raining & I was approaching an intersection where the light was red and there were cars ahead of me who had already stopped. I hit the brakes and the car just didn't stop. It sailed right into the back end of the car in front of me. Luckily nobody was hurt, but I did get a ticket. The car didn't have anti-lock brakes, and there really wasn't time to pump the brakes (since I probably applied the brakes too late), but I agree with you that the moment of time when your car is just not stopping is incredible scary.
Glad you weren't hurt.

All I'm going to say is personal events, I'm not going to share them, but I will say that they have left me heartbroken.

You need to hang with other family JG - US! And when somebody tries to break you down like that, just say "PSSHH" and walk on. Draw the strength for yourself from within during times like that. We love ya
