I can not beleive that Wendy is still on this show. Her designs (bathing suit, the 1st challenge and last nights space suit) left a lot to be desired. From the beginning her designs were no match for the other designers, plus she has no personality. I hope she is not one of the three at the end.

I am so over Wendy Pepper I could vomit. She has very little talent and the only thing she has ever done that was wearable at all was when she won the BR challenge. She should have been gone long ago!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I just had to get that out. This is my first time in here but I have watched the show from the beginning.

When I heard that Wendy was still in my jaw dropped! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! If she makes it to the final three my screams will be heard from the caribbean. Clearly she is aware of her limitations as a designer so she uses other means to ensure her staying power.

I hope you win Kara~!!! Keep up your good work!

Though I agree that Kara Saun shows the most talent consistently week to week, why oh why can't Jay win just once? His designs for the future and for the rock chick made my jaw drop. Just stunning. Always a bridesmaid...never a bride.

Definitely have to say that episode seven was the most intense so far, and definitely showed which designers remaining were strong and which were not....
Kara - She just gets better and better, both as a designer and a person. I loved her design for 2055, and there really was a futuristic flair to her design. Furthermore, her explanations about the layers protecting the wearer from the elements at that time were reasonable and appropriate. As for her individually, I just loved thre way she tried to protect everyone when they had their meeting the night before the show, making sure there was a rational explanation behind everyone's designs. Kudos to her as well for defending Kevin, emphasizing his strong points while not lamblasting his weaknesses. definitely deserved to win.
Austin - I'm a big fan, but I think we can all agree that his strength is retro, not futuristic. Still, I loved his design. Not enough 2055 overtones, but beautiful, and technically strong.
Robert - Pleasantly surprised. He caught the theme of the challange, and his "solar panels", like Kara's layers were perfectly appropriate for the theme. Won't make the final three, but good for him for comng back strong.
Jay - What can I add that hasn't been said? He's excellent. Definitely attentive to detail, and I appreciate his frustration for wanting to have better materials when his design and concept may have been compromised. His clothes also had a futuristic spin, and I loved his 3AM girl explanation.
Wendy - Loved the judge's "cat comment". Fell on the floor, roaring. But seriously,I think she may just be on the verge of introducing a new concept in clothing - "Assembly required". How is it that this woman got into the final twelve? With the exception of the BR dress, every design looked either unfinished or has flat out fallen apart. As for character, I think we can all agree that she simply doesn't have the talent and is using words and manipulation to stay in. And didn't you just want to kick the television when she ridiculed her fellow designers? I almost would like to see her make the final three just so she could have a combination debut and wrap up, where her shortcomings as a designer would be revealed on a greater audience. I don't mean for this to be malicious, but I really think this woman is desparate need of a reality check.
Kevin - Sorry everyone, but as much as I am tired of Wendy's incompetence and general mean spiritedness, I think Kevin's exit was justified because he came up short on two fronts. One, his design really lacked futuristic influenece. A small NASA-like logo does not the future make, and his design, while complete, didn't cut it, in my opinion. Also, being the leader, I think he also came up short. Don't misunderstand, I think he has talent, seems like an incredibly nice guy, but really did not produce a genuine collection. As the judges pointed out, colors alone could not pull the clothes together. If the logo was on all of the clothes, then maybe, but it wasn't. I was truly sorry that Kevin was eliminated, but like Vanessa, he, in a way, took himself out of the running.
Let's hope that Wendy does the same next week.

I don't quite understand why Jay and Austin were down on Robert. I think Robert is a good designer..even though he does go up and down each week. But even when he goes down it's never as bad as Wendy's. I can't stand Wendy. Her designs are awful and I'm not quite sure why she's still on the show. No TALENT AT ALL!!! I don't like her attitude..I think she needs to be on Survivor. At least that's the way she's playing the game. Having strategies and all that crap! She's on the wrong show. Kara, to me, is the top designer, she is very consistent. I love Jay also. I don't like Austin. I did in the beginning but all his designs are starting to look alike. No imagination! I think the 3 top designers will be Kara, Jay and Robert. I think Kara will win.

I don't get it. There are some very talented designers on the show...and then there's Wendy. She's AWFUL!!! Not only are her designs horrible, but her attitude, persona and approach is as well. How the judges have managed to keep her on episode after episode is mind boggling. Judges, someone, PLEASE get rid of her...she brings down the whole show!

Classic Sports Car = object

It would be as if a woman continually said, "A man should be like a diamond necklace: worth a lot of money!" Such a statement is offensive because it reduces the man to his mere net worth and denies his humanity. The sportscar comment is the same.
For those women who do liken feminists to Nazis, I only have this to say:

If you voted last November, thank the feminist movement.
If you have a career, thank the feminist movement.
If you are paid a salary similar to that of your male co-workers, thank the feminist movement.

Feminists: believe men and women are equals.

Kevin was essentially eliminated when his name was selected from the grab bag to be the team leader!!!
With a known sabateur in the group --WENDY! --the only fair choice of team leader would have been her. That would have been the _only_ way to assure that Wendy's contribution to the group would be earnest and not destructive, because she would be in charge of the group. Since Wendy was not made the leader, the producers essentially allowed an unfair challenge to go forward. And a great designer was prematurely jettisoned from the programme.
Furthermore, since her swimsuit design didn't even have a bottom piece(!), Wendy should have been eliminated from the show last week, which would have removed the hinderance to the design team this week. Kevin ultimately paid for the mistake that the judges made the week prior.
To those who argue that Kevin's design was his downfall (and not Wendy's treachery), it was established fairly early on that each design represented a different eschalon of 2055 society, and Kevin's was the upper crust. In the tomorrow-that-never-was society that the team established would be their "setting", where fabrics must be recycled to produce new garnments, only the richest folk can enjoy the most complete new fashions... clothing with the fewest generations of recyclement... this was Kevin's design! The team had working class, street class, and with Austin and Kevin's design, an upper class. This *was* cohesiveness. This *was* a collection. This *was* the worst episode thusfar in the series.

Wendy makes me ashamed of my own gender. I don't know or care if she's a plant or not--her selfish antics make her a horrible role model for her five year-old daughter. That poor kid is probably mortified. And it doesn't matter to me if she gets into the top three (I don't think she will. I think it will be Kara, Austin and Jay), you couldn't give me a Wendy Pepper design. Does she really think the millions of viewers watching would ever want her name on their clothing label? No thanks, not me.

Well I agree that Kara should win(but forgive me) I hope she does not
or Jay for that manner. You see my theory is that they are to forward
and talented for "Banana Rep".......to start their own business YES! they will.......
but to win to be connected with Banana Rep.....that is just not their style. I think Wendy IS for drama also but what if she won!....will she can kiss up and would do the Banana Rep "Patterns" and they(BR) would be just like they are.....
Since Kara and Jay and even Austin have been on and everyone has
seen their talent(Austin really does have talent he just needs to become a bit stronger)there are backers out there that will do the three of them MORE "jus-tis" then this show as this show is only the begining for them NOT the end. SO no one be uPsEt if they do not win on this show they have WON something elsewhere MUCH MUCH better and we would not have known of them if it had not been for this show. So I give great props for this show exposing them. To me that is better then

I agree, Kevin was supposed to be representing "the other end of the spectrum". But the problem was I don't think he told that to the judges. No one seemed to mention the society or different classes they had. I think that if Kevin had defended himself better he wouldn't have been eliminated.

WHY........IS........WENDY.......STILL HERE!!!?????#$%^&*????
Can someone please answer this? And she's a MOTHER??? I agree--her child is scarred for life, no questions asked. I now COMPLETELY agree with whoever suggested the show not eliminate off designers but rather just give a weekly rating of designs. Cuz' at least I had fun with Vanessa and Kevin....and while I like Robert, Jay, Kara, and Austin, I'm left with more exposure time to....Wendy. Wendy PEPPER. ReMOVE. Kevin was clearly talented--Nora too, though her tantrum drove me nuts--but even Alexandra! ANYONE!!!! Instead, Wendy prevails. Let's hope next week they do it right. (Though I bet the producers are just dying to have her in the final episodes, the true underdog/longshot/whatever she's advertising herself as competing amongst the talented remainders....But then maybe it might be pretty awesome to watch Kara, Jay, and Austin (my top 3) completely smear her. *Sigh....maybe I'm way too upset over this, but really this competition has started to dissapoint me. Project Runway, at least in the first few episodes, had a strange kind of purity, for a reality TV show, in that it was focused on the work being made which went beyond watching flamboyant personalities run amok in front of a camera. You watched these people work and agonize and that's how you pick your favorites....I seriously think Bravo should take into consideration that it is more exciting to see people create beautiful, provocative designs each week than it is to see some very talented people get booted. More designers also allows for a greater audience appeal--more styles to choose from. Who knows what Daniel or the other....baseball hatted guy would have done after those first 2 episodes? I for one would be interested to see what all of the designers would continue to do...

I have no idea how Fashion Week will go, but I believe Austin will win. Robert's not talented enough. And Wendy, well, everyone (except me) hates her.
Hate to tell you this, but you're wrong. No way Wendy or Robert are going to be in fashion week. Don't know what you're talking about as far as next week - looks to me like Wendy had one of her meltdowns, which result naturally from the way she alienates herself. She doesn't have what it takes, we've already seen that. She's a one-hit wonder.
Jay, Austin, and Kara. Everyone else on the board is right. Kara has won three challenges, Austin has won two - Jay has been shut out every time, and most times has been second. Do you really think Kara will be eliminated? Based on what??? Wendy's clothes all look messy and crappy except for that one dress, and Robert's color choices and bs concepts are awful.
As far as the final person, it could be any of them.

This is my first post, am I`m going to have to disagree with a lot of you all.
My favorite designer has been Wendy since the begining. I think that even though she started off weak, her designs and her ideas about the game grew stronger.
Yes, she can get emotional at times, but who hasn`t on the show? As for the "Futuristic" episode, I think she did the right thing. She didn`t think Kevin was a strong enough leader and she told the judges, while the others simply lied in order to make them seem like a great team.
I know she won`t win but I hope she at least beats out Rob, because I know she`s better them him.

I guess Wendy is still on the show so that we can have a cry baby. She is playing this game like it is Survivor...she keeps talking about her strategy????????? The job is to listen to Heidi about what the challenge entails. That is how you knock off the competition, not by plotting against your opponents. Kevin should have been given a little credit. He had to have everyone else on the same page and then tackle his own project. All of this while being under time constraints. I just don't think it was fair.

The fashion industry is a fast paced, cut throat business. So are many other industries. Ultimately, you win a job based on talent. Many great designers have surrounded themselves with talent, to handle the business end, so they can use their energy towards creativity. Ultimately, it comes down to talent. Nora, Alexandra & Kevin all proved to have much more talent than Wendy.

I’m really amazed at how many people think someone is the best designer and should win simply because they find them entertaining or attractive. So many people hating on Wendy because she’s housewifely and saying how boring Kara is! Um, I think design talent, creativity and vision, ability to adapt to and complete the task as given, etc. should be the criteria, not whether you’d like to sleep with the person or find them sexy/entertaining/fun/likeable.
Austin is a lovable and entertaining character with tremendous heart and unquestionable talent. But he has made some of the most disastrous clothes on the show and been repeatedly unable to accommodate himself to the given task. I loved his party dress for BR, gorgeous and sexy, but he was asked to do a winter party dress for the BR crowd and instead he produced something for an Atlanta debutante tea party in July. He had trouble as group leader and was crying on the runway when asked to assess his team (saying he’d rather be eliminated than pick someone else –a similar admission got Vanessa canned). His Little Bo Peep rocker outfit resides on the wall of shame. And that wedding dress! Bad imitation Jay! Last night also did not impress, strings hanging off, not very futuristic.
Remember these people will receive $100K of someone else’s money to play with. They need to display some emotional strength and maturity.
Austin adores all things ultra-feminine (speaking of feminazis ) and seems quite unable to divert from that. I think he secretly wants to dress Scarlett O’Hara (his namesake?). I’m glad he’s still on, he’s so colorful and very talented. But I think Kara and Jay are the best two here; I love Kara’s maturity, integrity, vision and class, and Jay’s originality and guts. I would put Austin, Wendy, and alas, dearly departed Kevin behind these two.
Ask yourself, if you HAD to give one of these people $10,000 to make you a dress, which one would you choose?

YES! Kara Saun wins again, proving to be the best designer left in the competition.
YES! My sweet Robio is still in, showing that to be in fashion not only you have to be a good designer, but you also have to know how to 'sell' your creation, how to draw the attention to you and your work.
YES! The Evil Morganza is finally out! No designer needs a model that can jeopardize his or her work.
NO! I can not believe the [expletive deleted] is still in! Not only she created a disgusting outfit, but the way she turned on Kevin! After trying to be all nice with him in the work room, she uses his weak leadership skills as a chance to stay in. And the way she eliminated Morgan! (I am glad that Morgan is gone, but that was just gross!). And she is a mom! A feel sorry for her kids.
(I hope it's clear who I mean).
NO! What the f...ck is Jay's problem?! What's u with his little comments on Robio? 'Rob doesn't know how to do a lot of work', 'I look at Rob and think - what are you still doing here' - this makes him as fake and pretentious as Austin! Not cool, Jay!

i absolutely disagree. wendy started complaining about kevin's leadership before the project even began. she's been very up front about her agenda to pull down others to make herself look better, and i think it's just plain childish. if she had the talent, she wouldn't have to resort to that kind of behavior, but she doesn't and she knows it. she can be as conniving and cutthroat as she wants, but in the end it's talent that wins. no way in hell is that woman getting within 50ft of fashion week.
I'm with you on this one.
Yeah, wendy's playing this like it's an episode of Survivor. But Survivor is only about hte game. this show is about your talent as a designer. If i owned a design house, or had some $$ to invest in a line, i want someone who can design a dress. i don't want someone who thinks she is some kind of strategy queen. nobody's going ot pay money for that on a hanger.
i think her dress, while it danced pretty close to the deconstructed theme, looked like hell and didn't display any effort or talent in the design realm. I think she just altered existing clothing. i don't think that displays any design skill; a seamstress can do that.
On another note: i thought she looked right at home in a postal worker's uniform. that seems like a most suitable career for her.

Wendy should definitely have been out after the swimsuit episode. She didn't finish it!!!!!!! The model wore her own thong, for Pete's sake. Alexandra's suit was light years ahead of Wendy's. Wendy's was a top, not a swimsuit. Wendy is more lucky than talented.
