I don't mean what they've made already. I mean the collections the three finalists make for the runway shows in Bryant Park. I want to see those.
The shows in Bryant Park are not on the Episode List.

I usually agree with all the educated criticism on the show, and love it because it's loaded with creativity and talent. However, after last night, it appears to be heavily PRODUCED, with coaching of Wendy, bringing back eye candy Rob.... about as lame as "You're either in, or you're out!" But I put up with that because, again, the creativity and talent. Remember when Wendy used a g-string for the bottom of her bathing suit? Well, she didn't really meet the challenge then, did she? I know Austin gets into fashion week, (and apparently doesn't wow them), but what an obvious talent. Without the lip gloss and a little beard growth he's handsome. Oh well. Where is Elsa Klensch when you need her? There's no reason this couldn't have been intelligent instead of... well "America's Next Top Model."

OK, this makes NO SENSE. How can she be the one who isnt willing to play games when you hear all of them talking on the show she is always the ONLY one talking about games and other then a few snippy moments, nobody else had serious problems. She is mean and nasty. Her designs are crap (if you want someone to design for function, then you enjoy your Jaclyn Smith designs all you need to. Bring back the legging!!) I would be hostle to her too!

Or, she leaves because the other designers are being immature, cruel, nasty, and disrespectful to her--as they have done week after week, just because she isn't willing to play their games.

It does seem very much to me that Bravo wanted to keep a villian in the final episodes, so Fashion and Talent were pushed aside so everybody will have the sweet revenge of seeing Wendy loose. Too bad the show couldn't just stick to it's core values and allow Austin to assume his rightful place as one of the top three. Telvision and Ratings, what are ya going to do. Best Luck to whoever wins, my guess is it will be Jay. But I really hope to see Austin (and Kara) again.

I knew Austinwas out the moment I looked at the Fashion WEek pics. His red dress, I had already seen it before. Another one of his designs was right out of his portfolio.
It was so obvious the producers went like hey, get some of your old stuff and add some new piecesand bring it in. We need a decoy for Fashion Week.
Poor Austin.
Good luck Kara.
Mmm...well, I can't say I liked Wendy's dres but it's among the best she's done lately.

I agree that Wendy's last dress was her best of the competition, but she should never have made it to the final four in the first place. Wendy was not even on the same level. For her to show designs in Bryant Park is a gross miscarraige of fashion justice. On a lighter note, I hear that Parker Posey will be one of the final judges, I've had the opportunity to meet her a few times, fabulous girl, and I kind of think she would go for Jay. We will see.......

I must say when I say the dress Austin made come down the runway, it did look like something I had seen before. I think it was worn by Endora on Bewitched or Mrs. Roper from Three's Company. Nonetheless, it was beautifully executed.

My 2 cents on last nites designs:
Austin: Did you ever see a dream walking? Well, I did.
Wendy: That Big Bird boa donut deal positioned ever-so-unflatteringly at mid-thigh was vomitacious.
Kara: She likes to add that slite butch touch. In this case an attractive, but mis-used sadle-leather pant.
Jay: Derivative of his Chrysler Building design - the shape and cut of the top half at least.

There have been a number of French fashion trends throughout the ages that would suit Wendy, who is desperately in need of a new look. Just a few:
Tarring and feathering - could use her hideous Grammy skirt.
Burning at the stake - the perfect look for this witch.
Head shaving - either combined with the tarring and feathering, or on it's own. Used for females who collaborated with the Nazis during WWII, it seems to be the perfect 'new look' for one who 'strategizes' the way Wendy does. I'm sure a lot of previous devotees of the look thought their 'strategies' were just as clever as Frau Pepper's.

Jay and Kara's designs are wonderful! I can't predict which one of those two will win! Wendy's designs are a trainwreck, but it's not really her fault, she's just not in her element. The judges got it wrong. Kicking of Austin was such a huge mistake. Jay is good, Kara is wonderful. Wendy is a seamstress, she is NOT a designer. Austin has incredible vision. What is wrong with creating beautiful glamorous clothes for women??? That is what women want. I love all of Austin's designs, with the exception of the wedding dress. I would pick these out in a store. Here's hoping that someone sponsors him and a show, I would absolutely love to see a line he created. Badly done, judges.

there were several articles posted in earlier posts that indicated heidi said austin was included as a decoy.
since the fashion week show would occur prior to the airing of the final elimination program, they didnt want the media to spoil the elimination by covering the show with only three finalists in it.
so apparently austin's show was a decoy.........

It's not wrong to design beautiful, glamorous clothes for women unless the woman does not want them! Last night's challenge was specifically to design something that was not "too glamorous", that would not outshine the celebrities attending, and that would be a little hip and funky. In fact, the client, Nancy O'Dell, showed them a picture of the two-piece denim outfit she wore the prior year to give them an idea of the appropriate style. Austin just plain didn't listen to her needs for the garment, he just designed something pretty, hoping she would like it. She did, but it was just flat-out wrong for her job. Austin is amazingly talented, but he needs a patron, not a customer -- someone who loves that dolled-up look all the time and who does not have or need a real job. Or he would be a spectacular, Edith Head-like legend in designing for film. But this is a ready to wear competition, and that's what the New York Fashion week is about. At his tender and yet inflexible age he just can't do that style of clothing. I suspect he never will, but he will do just fine in some other fashion mileu.

Austin's sense of style is what is missing in American Fashion. It's called glamour, it's called beauty. When that goes out of style, Fashion in general suffers. Austin should go to Europe, Paris would eat that boy alive!!!! And for those who think High Fashion isnt marketable, go ask Tom Ford about Gucci, or ask the House of Channel if they believe thier style is outdated.

Wendy is a strange person and I had some info on her that I thought other's might find interesting. I know alot of people think she is a manipulative, over dramatic person... And you're right. And I don't mean just on the show either.
I know for a fact that she used to be married to a man named John. When they divorced he set a private detector on her and was devastated to find that she had cheated on him numerous times in the past... Hmmm, the show's a crossover with Desp. Housewives now. Anyways, just wanted to let you all know that it wasn't just the show bringing out bad qualities in her, from what I know she's always been that way.

I have been watching this show from the beginning. Here is my take:
Austin - You gotta love Austin. He dances to his own tune. His creations are glamorous, feminine and totally Austin. He knows how to drape the curves of a woman's body and strives for the elegant, his designs to me recall a bygone era and his designs are always classic and many times chic but very seldom 'trendy'. Even though he lacks versatility like Jay demonstrates - he more than makes up for it through his gracious creations. He is a true dreamer! I am happy that he was able to show his creations at NY fashion week as the producers did not want to out the secret as the show aired after the fashion week.
Jay - From what I hear Jay got the best audience reception at the NY fashion week. He has proved that he can adapt his rock and roll glam to create 'very cool, very now' looks as well as trendy designer pieces. I loved his art deco take on the Chrysler building and his grammy awards dress. I do wish he had chosen another fabric for the bodice of the grammy dress (something more sheer to go with his fabulous skirt maybe) as neither his hot pink choice nor the later red he draped over it with Kara's suggestion worked. His personality comes through in his pieces and I think he may win the challenge after all. All through the episodes I have liked him for his frankness before the camera, he even managed being bitchy with his usual flourish.
Kara - Kara has great design aesthetics. I must say I was shocked by the white swimsuit though, what was she thinking...how was that ok for the evening wear I have yet to find out. I loved most of her creations, the grammy dress however seemed to have too much fabric, the leather tux pant was a bit too much for the long top. It did not look as sexy as some of her other designs. She is a good designer though and once she gets going she is going to get better once she lets herself go.
Wendy - She has certainly succeeded in making most viewers hate her. I sympathized with her in the beginning, it's hard to be the odd one out and she is slightly older and dresses in a very spinsterly 'dowdy' manner which dosen't help things much. Later though, I was shocked when I saw her enjoy seeing others squirm. She complained about the leadership skills of others and managed to alienate the whole group. It is a difficult job to lead your peers and I don't expect Wendy to even know where to begin. She never seemed to have any respect for the other's vision and also managed to stay out of all group activities. However, she has managed to stay in the top 3 through circumstances more than her designs. Like she said herself someone managed to be poorer than her at different times and she managed to be second to last almost all of the times. I think she won the grammy challenge as she managed to stay with the brief. I liked her top, especially the back...though it was nothing I have not seen before. Her choice of skirt fabric was nice and if she had lost the feathers and created the same rutched and ruffled look with fabrics complementing the orange top (like Jay) it would have looked even better. I would have paired the dress with different shoes too, to add that special touch. Overall though despite some winning creations, she is not very innovative at all and seems to lack vision. And to top it all she is the most unpopular person in the show.
Continued...

Wow. Such an interesting discussion since last night. My "FINAL 3" cents:
(1) Wendy proved how smart she is in this challenge. She basically copied Nancy O's top that she was wearing when she met them (orange
twisted bust in a tunic shape). If any of you Tivo'ed it like me you can go back and see just how close the front of Wendy's outfit looked like what the woman was already wearing that day. Visionary - NO! Smart as HELL - ABSOLUTELY! The bottom was awful and Tim gave her pointers on it and (as he said in his "take") she listened. But you can't blame this one on the producers. When they flashed to Ms. O while Wendy's dress was coming down the runway, she looked GIDDY! It was PERFECT for that woman and that kind of show. DAMN TIM for helping her!
(2) Austin again proved his lack of versatility, and basically handed it over to her. Face it, he's not a rock and roll runway type. And that's ok, just not for this challenge. Too bad this was the most important one for him.
(3) Jay is always fabulous, and knows that he can be fashion forward enough to impress the judges for the most part and still make it IN whether that Miss (BORING) Nancy O would wear it or not. That woman can't have anything too flashy, it will eat her alive, she's pretty but let's face it, she is the pretty revolving door for celebrities at these awards - NOT THE STAR - and she knows her place. Look good, but not better than those you're interviewing. Gwen Stefani would ROCK this outfit. JAY IS A DESiGNER for a SUPERSTAR. Not Hollywood SCHLOCK PR people like Miss O.
(4) Kara Saun's outfit was just too guetto for this woman. I thought it was utterly fabulous though. Strange that Nancy didn't mention what she later said in the judging (because she said it like it was a doctrine of hers), that she doesn't go for beading and sequins. I.E. I'm the BLAH woman the celebrities have to talk to so I need to be as BLAH Access BLAH Hollywood as I BLAH can BLAH! Kara Sahn could've given that outfit to Alicia Keys and she would have WORKED IT. This woman SO GETS the GRAMMY's. BTW, what Michael Kors knows about TIRED is A LOT? The JLo dress he mentioned wasn't all that! HE's the one that's a little tired if you ask me!
PS. If you look on the SCHEDULE link on the PR runway site (above) you will see that next Wednesday's "reunion" episode is not the last. The finale, show number 11, will air the next Wednesday, giving them
enough time to edit together all the juicy Fashion Week Stuff from last
Friday.
