She would have pushed stick pins through the eyes and slashed across the chest. Then she would have called in crying half an hour later to confess. No, it's creepy Kevin.

I dont think so.
Remember how proud she was of the whole feathers woven into the lace idea?
Thats the thing that Nancy hated, she didnt like "all the feathers" that was the basis of the dress!
Wendy's outfit looks like something you can find in a store for about 40 bucks. Hell, you can even buy feathers and sew em on there if you wanted it. I think the outfits should be worn AS PRESENTED (of course alterations being made to fit Nancy's body.) Because thats what the deisners made it for. To be worn as is. not "tweaked"

I think the feathers were kinda cute. At least original.
All of the outfits would have needed alterations. I wonder why she didn't choose Kara's since all she'd have to do was get rid of those stupid pants?
Anybody else think Jay would have won with his original top? The skirt was really the only great thing out of this group of designs.

After watching the Grammy's last night. I have to say, Austin's dress that he made for the Grammy challenge, really should have won. I saw more than a few celebs who would have looked a hell of a lot better (Gwen Steffani) if they had gone with Austin's design.

I dunno about Jays original top. It was very... hooker on 8-mile look. Bright pink zebra print on the red carpet? I know its the grammy's which means less -formal- look, but, not that informal where you look like the lowest white trash. (Man can I picture Kors saying that.)

Jay should have stuck with his original top. It made me wonder if Kara was sabatoging Jay..I didn't think so at first but it did make me wonder.
The only thing with Jay's original top it was pink and Nancy said she wasn't wild about pink...
Since Kara insisted on the pants, she should have at least made then tighter fitting, not so loose, more like a leggin, it might not have looked some boxy

I think she didn't pick Kara Saun's because of the sequins and/or beading, which she, "typically [doesn't] choose". She didn't think it would be flattering on camera which sucks because it was obviously much better.
On a different note, I know I shouldn't go there, but I just can't help it...Pepper updated her website with comments on the last two shows. She flat out states she didn't steal Kara's fabric, but offers no explanation or comment other than that. Weird, huh?

I noticed that, too, but it seems like for that posting (the Episode 9 one), she had a greater focus on explaining her design and the challenge. I honestly don't think she thought that taking the fabric Kara had considered using what that big of deal, and I kind of agree. I think the whole thing was just blown out of proportion.

I didn't know Wendy had her own website. Interesting. While I think Wendy should have been kicked off long ago, I have to say I did like her Grammy dress. I think it best suited what Nancy O'Dell talked about...she was very original with the color of it..but I liked it, even the feathers, I didn't think they were over the top, different yes but not in a bad way

February 14, 2005 - 11:31 AM
Nah, I don't think so. Kara knows she has honest talent and you can feel that her and Jay are on the same plane design-wise. She doesn't have to use tactics to win and she knows that as well. I think she honestly wanted to help, but she was thinking to hard on his design (which she also did on her own) Everyone was off on this challenge.
That being said I liked Jay's original top and the altered one. Kara's pants were just too big.

According to Fashion Police, Eve's dress was Roberto Cavalli. BTW, only a handful of long dresses (sorry to disappoint you all). Eve's too, was short. (but killer, though someone needs to explain the pawprints to me).
Queen Latifah got nailed on the fashion sites for wearing glamour, Star looked like a very large piece of chewed bubble gum and Fergie just looked like hell. Other than Beyonce and Alicia Keyes, actually, I thought all the long dresses were really pretty ugly. If you saw Joan and Melissa Rivers site, I thought they really had the red carpet interviewer look down pat. Joan's wearing a jacket over a drapey shirt with pants, and Melissa a two-piece, sheer, short and not glamorous thing.

The whole SHOW is out of proportion "You need to create a dress for the queen in 20 minutes!" (lol) Plus they're competeing. The first thing you would think (If you were in Kara's position) is "She stole my fabric" And dont say otherwise! Because THEY cant see the tape, Wendy may have done it unknowingly, but she may have not. And if you're Kara, seeing someone walk right by your space, grabbing something you picked, you'd say she stole it too becayse you dont know if she was doing it on purpose or not.
Put yourself in their shoes.

She said she couldn't wear sequins or really shiny stuff on the runway because of how it would look on television. (Also, she does not want to outshine the people she is interviewing). Absent the pants, she did like the dress.
Note, however, that the dress alone, although prettier, would not have met her needs since it would never have concealed the power pack and other stuff she needs to clip to her.

Don't forget Eve is a rapper baby. Paw prints are part of the "Rough Ryders" group of rappers (including DMX) with the dog being their "mascot", hence, the paw prints.
Yeah, I'm not saying that the long dresses were cute. I don't know what to say about Star Jones-Reynolds, her dress looked like bubble gum, but her outfit change into a truly orange empire-type top with all kinds of unsightly rolls bulging through (Heck, I have rolls, but I don't want to show them on national television).
Anyways, just to say that they could have used an actual pretty flowing outfit on the runway (ahem..Austin).

And another thing: Kevin was being filmed when he was alone in the workroom so if he did draw on the picture it would have been recorded and shown to us for dramatic effect.
I think it was a PA who was following the producers' instructions.

Agree about Kara's outfit. didn't like the pants. thought they were had too baggy a look.
Don't Jay would've won with the original top. It was definitely pink and did look like a barbie bodice. O'Dell nixed pink right off the bat. It was the style of it. Think it was nerves that Jay didn't go with a top that reflected his style more. didn't let loose. He is so talented.

I'd guess they were just emotionally/physically done. They shot that whole thing in two-three weeks in the middle of a very hot August, they're worn out from living with strangers, being on camera and taking part in really stressful challenges plus being so close to the end.
I trust Tim's take on it, that they all tried to play it safe in an effort to not be the worst instead of trying to be the best. And I would bet that came from being at the end of their reserves of energy and creativity.

Wendy may have been manipulative some times, but I don't think any of the things you used to describe her are true. From that blog I read on her web site, it seemed like she was saying that she was not up to date on pop culture which is displayed through music and television, and that Jay and Kara seem to draw alot of their influence from those two vast sources. From what I've seen, it seems Wendy was friends with everyone before the heavy competition kicked in, and her best friend seemed to have been Austin for goodness sake! (I love Austin, but the boys flamier than a lit candle)
Now thinking back on it, I kind of don't know why I even bothered to comment on this since I think the poster may be psycho.

Kara should have gotten rid of the pants, Jay's would've looked better on a model with curves, Austin should have cut it off at the knee, and Wendy's was made for her daughter. Kara's, Jay's and Austin's would have looked really good with these adjustments, but Wendy just doesn't have what it takes. She's proven that since the beginning.

No dissappointment to me - if most of them wanted to look like they fell in a trash compactor and then walk the carpet calling it top-notch fashion, then that's up to them. Eve's and Gwen Stefani's outfits were the worst things I've ever seen next to Wendy-wear. And I LOVE Gwen Stefani! What happened?! Starr Jones was beautiful in her pink and Fergie from The Black-Eyed Peas was classic and lovely in her outfit.

I'm waiting to see this because if she didn't wear that dress to the Grammys, then Wendy should be disqualified. The point was to pick a dress to wear to the Grammys, if it's not worn then Austin's elimination was a waste

Got home a couple minutes after Access Hollywood started and apparently she did wear the dress, but all the shots were from the waist up, so you couldn't see what they'd done to the skirt, if anything. Since this was the Access Hollywood film crew and Nancy seemed to hate the skirt on the PR show, they may have had explicit instructions to film only from the waist up. However on the web I found shots of her dresses for previous award shows so I am sure a photo of it will turn up somewhere.
