I was trying to find a picture of the winning wedding dress, but i want a picture of the back,as i think it is so beautiful. is there any possibilty of the website posting more pictures of the designs, and if its already there and i missed it, please direct me to it. thanks

I LOVE this show, but I expected more from the website... One would think that the web design would radiate more creativity, considering this is about DESIGN. I live in Arkansas and I know local designers who could present more edge than this (including myself)... AND YES, I think we all would appreciate more info on the fashion designers and better photos at the top of the message boards. I swear you picked the worst pics of Austin and Wendy, what gives? Also, this site is VERY SLOW. Perhaps you need to use a different sever that can handle the load. Love the show, but the site is driving me mad.

.....does anyone know if this website was inspired by anyone else's website in reference to Alexandra's elimination and the reason that was given, I think not making a swimsuit like Wendy would be a better reason for elimination.....Alexandra remember next to flaunt your sexuality along with your model to survive a ratings-driven reality show... on the show it says kevin is 37 but on the website it says 44. im guessing this is a mistake on the site.

I noticed that too . . . I thought I was going nuts.

i think someone said during one of the first shows he was 41 haha

THERE SHOULD BE MORE PICS OF THE MODELS!!!! (wearing the designers' outfits of course) more eye candy please!!

Agreed, I really would like to see better photographs (more angles, close-ups) of the clothes. I thought I liked the Sweater from Wendy's 2055 piece, but I couldn't tell and the website was no help.

** I'd like to see more front and back pictures of the designs. More details of the designers and models would be great, too, especially if they have their own web sites.

~~TO THE HOST~~ Do the producers read the messages here? I noticed in the section for the cast reunion that there is just about the same number of questions/comments for the producers as there are for the designers. I even had a question for one of the models!

Would the producers consider asking each designer to have his or her own section here to answer all the questions instead of hoping our questions might be answered during the reunion telecast?

If certain designs aren't listed in the auction, does that mean that there weren't any bids on them, or that the designer wanted to keep them?

Is this web site going to update the viewers throughout the coming year what all the designers and models are doing? Is the Bravo store still going to offer their designs?

Thanks and good luck to all.
BravoBoardBoss
Now that there are fewer designers left, we're trying to put up more images of each design in our Runway gallery.

The "questions for the cast" topic was intended to get a general sense of what viewers were interested in knowing, and possibly to grab a few questions to ask verbatim; I'm afraid questions for the models or producers are probably not going to be put to any use.

We may try to do an online "where are they now" follow-up with some of the designers in the future, but there are no definite plans at present. Such a follow-up could include additional viewer questions from our message board or elsewhere.

The auction and Runway store are not run by Bravo, but if we hear about Miramax's future plans for them, we'll post that information here.

Thank you . . . The update is appreciated . . . A "where are they now" would be interesting.

Thank you for your reply. I'm a little disappointed there isn't a format where the models and producers can't answer our questions. Perhaps next year?

I had one more question for Austin, but can't seem to log into that section. I'd like to know if he has plans to make the "cornhusk" dress with real material and what would it be, colors, etc.

If you have time to check out Animal Planet's message boards from the first King of the Jungle, you'll see that the contestants had their own threads and answered questions from the viewers. I hope Bravo will consider it.

One last question: Are the designs created on PR the property of Bravo or the designers?

Thanks, again, for your kind response.

I would love to see a Where Are They Now area on here!

Got something to say about the Project Runway website? Say it here!

I think 2 things that would be great on this website, are:
1. Links to the designer's own websites (if they exist)
and
2. Maybe fashion tips, etc. from the designers!!

I love this show!! I hope it keeps going for a long time!!
birdaileen
ive noticed that a lot of messages regarding links to photos from fashion week, etc, have recently been deleted or edited by the Board Boss. What kind of content is not allowed on these boards?
BravoBoardBoss
Long URLs that break the page format are almost always edited to fit better. As far as articles in the press go, we would prefer that people just paste a link to them (and not cut-and-paste the complete article), as each is copyrighted by its original publication.

Spamming (posting the same thing over and over, in one or more topic) is also strongly discouraged.
SkivvieTime
Hey! They're not all model sizes! I am the designer of the "You Can't Afford Me" and "Naughty like a Hilton" tanks...they go all the way up to an X-Large! You can check out my whole line at www.inyourskivvies.com. I'm in total support of real-size women!

Well, this is about the message board, but I'm thoroughly confused, so. . . When does your "ranking" change---I'm "just got here" even though I registered weeks ago. And I've noticed that other people are "occasional viewers" and "cable-ready" even when they joined on the same day. What is that? It's irritating to be "just got here" when people who just registered today are "just got here"s.

It goes by the number of posts that you've made, not how long you've actually been registered, which is typically how message board rankings go. The more you post, the higher it goes.

Just got my Jay T-shirt in & I love love love it. (Did you hear that Jay? I love your shirt design!) I teamed it up with a pair of tan GAP cargos from Goodwill & a second hand long camel sweater & used a hot pink fringed scarf for a belt, & you wouldn't believe the compliments I got from people I didn't even know. Yummy!

My only complaint - these T's are tiiiiiiny! Come on guys! The world isn't full of those 5'10" 75 lb models you have on the runway!
PacificTrends
I enjoy the song "Breath on Me" from the download section of the website, but I want all the songs they use on Project Runway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are they going to add on more?

out of curiosity, what size did you get? I might order something and if they run small, it would be helpful to know in general. thank you.
birdaileen
hey board boss,
is there some reason that the episode 8 auctions (postal uniforms) were pulled off the site? i was bidding on one of them and then it vanished.
thanks
Xiomara
Too true. ANNND...I wanna see a competition next season with designers making clothes for a real sized woman...now THAT'S what I wanna see!
luvinkpenz
Hey Bird which were you bidding on?
BravoBoardBoss
Sorry, you'll have to email the auction site to find out -- they're run separately from bravotv.com.

Thanks for your answer. The other message boards I use are not ranked, so I didn't know. I did think of it, but it seemed like the span was too great (40 posts or so). Thanks again for explaining!

um yea someone talk to me i am soo board

I ordered an XL & it's about the size of a normal Medium I would say. I can certainly wear it, but it sure emphasizes the bust to say the least.

No problem, happy to help. The first time I encountered them on another site I was confused, too, but I was friends with the administrator and he explained it to a bunch of us. We even got him to give some of us special rankings of our very own. It was a very silly site.

I can't seem to start a new discussion - the "Post" button doesn't work. And I'm having a hard time wading through the larger discussions. Also, when I post using a quote, my post shows up at the END of the entire discussion, and not right after the quote to which I'm referring. It seems kind of confusing. (But a heck of a lot of fun nonetheless!)
luvinkpenz
VAnessa doesn't have too many nice things about Heidi in an article for popgurls.com

Hey Bravo Boss,

Thanks for the bonus videos! can you post all of the extended exit intrerviews? i want to see more, haha.

thanks, BA
BravoBoardBoss
Glad you enjoyed them. We hope to get our hands on some additional bonus materials (including interviews), so keep checking in the coming weeks, even after the finale.
birdaileen
thanks!

Hello, sorry I'm too lazy to go back and read all the posts, so I apologize in advance if my suggestions have already mentioned, but here are a couple ideas for the message board:

1) sort messages in descending rather than ascending order - usually I'm only trying to find recent posts, and it would be easier if they were on the first page rather than the last.

2) Add threads for each designer (i.e. the Austin thread, the Kara Saun thread, etc.) rather than one thread for all designers
3) Add threads for each episode instead of one thread for all episodes. (Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, etc.)

That's it! I love the show and web site. I hope there will be another season of Project Runway.

How is it easier? Usually the very most recent post references one of the ones immediately before it. Aren't you better served by logging in and jumping straight to the post that's newest to you, and reading them in the order they were posted?

We'll consider that for any future seasons. The tricky thing is that if a show doesn't have an active message board, you look silly having 30 topics with almost no posts in them. While we knew Project Runway was a great show out of the gate, sometimes great shows don't find big audiences, so we didn't know what to expect with the message board.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I agree-- it is better to see what is newest to you and then move forward so you can see where the conversation orginated.

however, on the second point-- i would recommend a format more like what can be found on American Idol (idolonfox.com 'community')-- there, people can start and reply to threads they are interested in, so that if people, for example, do not want to talk about wendy and do want to talk about art, they can do so.

the idol board is also very easy to navigate-- im not saying this board isnt great (it is) but a lot of people, including me, find it somewhat difficult to use.

I'm going to describe what I find the most difficult: when I go to the message boards it tells me how many unread posts that I have. Let's say that The Designers thread has 30 unread posts. If I read five of them and then log off for a few minutes and then come back it doesn't include the 25 previous posts that I didn't read, it just lists the posts that were posted while I was away for a few minutes.

For The Designers thread I've had to start writing down the page where I left off so that I can read all of the posts.

yeah, i agree with this-- it would be better if the posts didn't become 'read' until they are actually read.

also, if there is any way to make the number of unread posts into a link, where by clicking on it, it brings you right to the first unread post, that would be wonderful. it is hard sometimes to guess which page of posts is where the unread stuff begins, especially since if you guess to late in the page count, the site marks everything before that page as read and you dont have the 'new' label anymore to help you out in finding where the new stuff begins.

Bravo Boss --

the 4th page of Tim's Take on Episode 10 is dead - please fix!
SterlingRose57
The site is nicely designed and easy to navigate. The show totally rocks. I happened upon it channel surfing. As a graphic and jewelry designer who has dabled in fashion and music and collects all things beautiful (Oh eBay!!), I was hooked! How cool was it to see Michael Kors and Betsey Johnson on the show!!! The challenges were very creative and interesting as well--a dress from grocery store products? Futuristic garments from a vintage store? Wow. This is an inspiring and creative outlet for designers who otherwise might not have the opportunity to be seen on a wide scale. Not only the show but this site is a great venue for designers. Everyone has a chance to exchange ideas and everyone has a chance to realize their dreams--just takes the fours D's: Drive, Determination, Dedication and Discipline! Kudos to Heidi, Tim and Bravo! I look forward to the finale and next season.
SUGGESTION: Why not auction off some of the designs from the show on eBay for tsunami relief fund?

This feature already exists . . . when you're on the message board home page, by clicking on the name of the discussion (e.g., "Designers", "Models", etc.), as opposed to clicking on a page number, you will then be taken to the first unread message . . . unless all of the messages in a discussion have been read, then you will be taken to the first ever message (from the BravoBoardBoss)
birdaileen
thank you thank you!
GuensMom
I like the site a lot (although I have to wince about page load times when I think about people who only have dial-up access).

Is there are any way on the boards to sort the posts or filter to find the posts of a particular individual?

Also - it'd be great if you would post a Tips N Tricks sheet for the board access. I still don't get how to use emoticons in the posts, other than the pure typographical ones. And although I've seen some people start new discussions, it seems like we have to use the existing threads. Is there a way for us to start a new thread (or sub-thread)?
GuensMom
I would love to see part of the Board devoted to "posts that made us laugh" - kind of the "best of . . .". Some people really have a gift, either for saying it as they see it, or for prompting thoughtful discussion. Any chance of that in future? And some way to nominate entries?
GinX
I appreciate having the message boards, but the format is cumbersome and not at all user-friendly. I would be visiting more often if it were easier to use. Thanks.

Other boards I visit sort messages in descending order and so I guess I'm used to that. I like not having to click to the very end to catch up on replies. When there are only a couple of pages, it's not bad doing it this way; when there are dozens of pages, it is cumbersome.

Thanks for listening.
Loomchick
It's a longshot . . . but, I would really like to select a filter on new messages that have been posted by people that have not just gotten here (like people with more than 10 posts) . . . We seem to have lots of people that arrive here that post questions that are ancient history and they would have found the answer if they had read earlier message . . . or they're being redundant and unoriginal . . . or, looks like they're a plant.
dogabone
The Web site and its navigation are fine; however, the same cannot be said for the Message Board. The navigation is cumbersome and slow, and flagging threads doesn't seem to accomplish anything. There are no sort or search options, and I still haven't been able to figure out how to start a fresh thread or initiate a post without starting it as a reply to an existing post.

There are hundreds of other boards on the Net that are far better designed, and Bravo could certainly learn from any of them.
