Well, I won't get to see the new series for a long time....so I will just have to extemporize.
Ralph has got that "tall person" thing going on with the really bad posture, no neck and rounded shoulders.
I wish Jai would teach these men the dancer's technique of how to "lift" out of their pelvis and lengthen their spines. Good posture gives you that subtle element of command in your appearance. Square your shoulders and tuck in your butt and lift your chin.
Long backs are prone to round-shoulders. It looks sloppy and you are cultivating a dowager's hump.
Saw the promo for the new episode last night. Looking forward to it. Heard that Kylie Minogue will be make a guest appearence on it.

Let's be realistic. I don't think our Thom would look that good shirtless. He does not at all have the shape that Kyan has. Thom has great chest hair, but no torso definition. Furthermore, Kyan has maybe the sexiest belly ever, especially when it's oiled for a photo shoot. Thom is a very thin guy. Granted, I do think he's the best looking man I've ever seen. Romance novel hair. Incredibly beautiful eyes. And a to- die- for mouth, but he has no ass whatsoever. I sat in the front row for one of his Cleveland lectures, and trust me, I checked it all out. Oh, and by the way, his jacket was corduroy, his belt was a Southwest stripe pattern, his shoes were a chocolate brown oxford type, his hair seems to be flecked with gray, and his face is covered in cutie- pie freckles.
Lastly, I cannot wait to see the new episode. I think this Ralph S. is gorgeous, aside from the gross apartment, of course. I think the term I'm looking for here is "swashbuckling".
I am a huge fan of QE and also the radio show Tour Bus where Ralph is the host. Has anyone here heard the radio show? Classic rock like Tesla, Whitesnake and Rainbow and then you get to hear the new materials the people from these bands are putting out now. Ralph is a great guy. I met him at a club show where he introduced me to Corey Glover of Living Color and Joe Lynn Turner who used to be in Rainbow and Deep Purple. Yes, he is a GIANT guy!! Sorry was not at the Vince Neil show that he had the QE make-better for ;-). Like many of his fans I am dying to see what the Fab 5 did for him. On a related thought I am wondering if any of the Fab 5 like hard rock or classic rock. Just curious.

I posted on this board and it lists my name as the last person who posted but I cannot find my post. I am a HUGE fan of the show and when I found out Ralph was going to be on I was amazed. The video is great! Thanks Bravo team for posting it! I have listened to his radio show (The Tour Bus) and been to a Tour Bus party where he had a lot of celebrity guests. Ralph was nice enough to introduce me to some of them like Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow/Deep Purple and Corey Glover of Living Color. He also had a scare with possible cancer last year and he deserves this make-better ;-)! We will be rooting for you, Ralph! Tour Bus fans love you and the Fab Five!

While we're being realistic, different views to different eyes - Kyan's frame is ok...and just ok, definition or not. Thom is not thin but he is not on the hefty side either. His build is solid, flat tummy, and DEFINITELY booty! VERY cuddleable! And I didn't need to be up front to see it...though I did go up front when everyone left and he was still there and saw him the next day up close. If I had let my hand slip, it would have landed on something and I'm not talking about the floor. Believe me, the boy got back!
As for what he wore and his looks, mentioned the gray, news mentioned the corduroy, and I still stand by my description of his eyes and mouth. Of course, as tick's protege, you are always welcome to take over the xyz's.

I have met Ralph at a concert. He is mad tall but he one of the nicest most genuine guys I have met.Being that I have been in a few rock bands myself I have met a lot of radio people. Many are first class jerks but not Ralph. He is also a smart guy. Knows his music for sure. Not a dolt.

I'm angry about this show. There is no need for the repeated negative remarks about strippers. Strippers and other sex workers often think of themselves as stigmatized sexual minorities. I expected a show like Queer Eye to cease with the moralizing and demonstrate some kind of awareness about the importance of sexual tolerance and respect. Strippers were uniformly stigmatized and disrespected in this episode.
Omg, I totally loved this episode. Ralph was so cool, and he really was looking hot by the end. I was in such stitches in the beginning during the silly string fight that I almost fell off my bed. And Thom, oh my God! Hott! His booty is amazing, and the first outfit he was wearing showed his figure perfectly. And as if I wasn’t drooling enough from that, he whips out those ripped jeans and slightly unbuttoned shirt. Dayum! It’s going to take me awhile to recover. The apartment was off the hook as well. And for those fretting about the show becoming family oriented, worry no longer! This is not for children’s eyes whatsoever. Great episode in my opinion!! Can’t wait for next week. Oh, and congratulations on the feng-shui status TTB!

This one was really good. I liked Ralph alot, the better Ralph of course. His brother and his girlfriend were so cute and I'm glad they were able to go out too. Ralph's change was amazing, he looked so good in those leather pants and that leather jacket w/ the hat they tried on in the show was really good too...loved Carson's comment about wanting to make out w/ him! I hope he and the girl got together again. She was cute, although I wouldn't be the most excited girl to be in that venue on a blind date. Something about him working and there being half nude girls all over the place. Anyways, snaps to the Fab 5 for another great make better! Cheers!
Please, Bravo people, never bring Kylie back again. She sucks. Those Hip Tips would've been great without her, but she even managed to ruin Jai's, even with Ted's hilarious performance.

And you can never go wrong with shirtless Kyan, but this was even better -- half-naked, hot and sweaty Kyan AND Jai. And they were doing yoga, too, which I'm a big fan of... once my bedroom renovation is finally done so I have room to do it, I hope to get back into yoga myself. (Again, this is a testament to Thom's huge task -- I've been waiting forever for my dad to get around to finishing removing a wall.)

So what did you think of Ralph! He was quite the giant! I think all went pretty well until he shaved. Kyan showed him what to do but...oh well. Did you see the work my husband-of-a-million-wives did to the apartment?! Omg, it was amazing!! I loved the rug he laid down...even started wondering how it would look in my apartment. I was not big on the show he took her to. My lordy, there were flusies all over the place shaking stuff in the cameras!! OK peeps, time to dish, shall we? Some people make a drinking game out of watching new episodes of QE, but I pretend I have a date with Kyan, and even do my hair and makeup for the occasion. And this time I turned on the VCR like a good girl. OMG - Laughter is the best medicine, and this is funnier and way more entertaining than anything in the first season, not to mention last season. Loved Kyan's shades in the beginning. I loved that he made Ralph clean his own toilet and it was so funny when he got mad at him about using the baby wipes after he poops! Speaking of poop, it showed mouse poop even though he has a cat there who, by the way pees on everything. I didn't like the new carpet, however, but I did like the Panton chairs at the dining table and the ceiling lights. I have the same problem of different-colored walls in each room, so I learned alot from this show. *Snaps* to Ted (or maybe producers) for being more vocal in this episode. Carson's hair is flippy and more feminine. Ralph's brother was his twin? Fraternal, perhaps? They didn't look alike. Ralph acted flirtatious with the Fab 5. *Snaps* to Jai for the ideas of a blind date and Bikram yoga. Ah, God, Kyan...mmmmm...he looked so real and accessible in that yoga class, as if I actually knew him, as opposed to being a larger-than-life celeb. Yum! I'll give the Arm & Hammer Ultra Max deodorant a try.

Great episode. I need to see it 20 more times to fully appreciate it. Whether or not Ralph's date, Christa, will go for a second date, I think Thom's analysis was dead on. It depends on her mind-set. I think she liked Ralph and found him attractive. I even think she had fun on the date...strippers and all. If her interest at this time is in sport-"dating" (I'm keeping it clean for the Bravo Boss but "y'all know what I mean, honey"), if she's in it for the endorphins (see Postcards from the Edge) then I think Christa will go out with Ralph again. If she's more relationship-minded, she'll probaby have second thoughts...not a second date. It was a fun date, but as a lifestyle, it gets old. Anyone who has dated a musician, probably knows what I mean.
All in all, it was great to see a new episode. Totally refreshing. Ralph kind of creeped me out. I think it's because he resembled this guy I used to work with? Nonetheless my night was made when my babe Kyan was taking the yoga class. Omigod! I will never take another yoga class without thinking of my Kyan! And does anyone know what his tattoo is? Just curious.

I totally agree. Kyan is so hot. He makes me want to be a boy. However, not one with a smelly apartment.
I watched it. I hope the future episodes in the new season are not edited in the same manner. The guys did their usual fab job of making better the candidate. There were fewer witticisms, far fewer "before and after" shots, far MORE commercials. More wide shots (because the guy was big?) than tight. Camera shots were just different in general (tripod vs handheld?). I got the impression that the directors are getting inputs to change toward the tastes of the mainstream viewer, i.e. the editing was done for future use on NBC. I prefer the Hip Tips sans Kylie. She's cute but her presence added nothing IMHO. There were too many shots in the strip club (to attract the hetero male viewer?)

OK - I totally LOVED this episode. I thought it was very funny. I thought the brother's girlfriend was very sweet, plus I am an 80s rock fan, so seeing Vince Neil was really a treat for me.

I liked the show up until the Vince Neil/strippers part. Even though Ralph works in that type of environment, those whatever-they-were did not need to parade their Rubbermaid products all up in the camera like that...and why were the cameramen all up in their stuff anyway?! Good gracious, I felt like reaching out and covering Jai's eyes! There was a good reason for him saying, "So that's where babies come from" - it's because they practically went all the way up there! Thank God I taught my daughter to turn her head when she sees things like that; she doesn't sit and stare, she turns her head automatically.
The language was a bit stronger too but her dad curses like a sailor and she never picked it up - rather, "I" never let her pick it up so there was not much worry there. The reason why I let my daughter begin watching in the first place, was because they didn't display anything that was really in-your-face sexual. It was a gradual presentationof different people in different worlds but we're all basically cool. But in this one, it seems like they were trying to compensate for something and in that trying, swung way to the extreme when they didn't need to. I hope little Davey wasn't watching this one. I think I will just watch by myself from now on and record them - then I'll see if they are suitable for my daughter to watch. Hate to do that, really I do, but I'm a parent first even if she is a teen.

But often the musicians or pros in broadcasting like a Ralph type are so immune to these experiences (scantily clad women who have very little taste or sense of style they just want to look sexy). The Tour Bus is THE BOMB because they play 80s classic stuff and also show you what the new music of these people sounds like. By the way am I the only person who also thought Vince Neil looked HOT!?

The co host they showed who worked with Ralph would have been a better choice than Kylie.She is more rock looking.I am a straight guy and thought the co host was hot.They should have used her for the tips but Iknow Kylie is more well known.Good show.I had hair like Ralph's once and have a similar style.I do not feel so bad about cutting mine off.
WOW!!! The Fab 5 went nuts on this show! It was so edgy! Those strippers! The way Kyan stuck his middle finger at Ralph lol!! The way Carson SCREAMED when he saw Ralph on TV and said "HE'S HOT!!!!!!!!!"! My hubbie and I were laughing our asses off!! ADVICE TO ALL: do not attempt to eat dinner during Queer Eye, you will get sick afterwards from all the laughter LOLOLOLOL!!!!! Ralph IS HOT Carson

This episode was great and I was just getting ready to float my lil self upstairs and dream sweet Jai dreams (G-Rated, of course) when I saw those cursed hip tips. OH. MY. GOSH. NO MORE CELEBRITIES IN THE HIP TIPS. EVER. Sorry, that ticked me off. I don't like Kylie Minogue. Sorry, but I don't. And the fact that she was within 5 feet of Jai didn't help (just kidding).
Other than that, it seemed pretty good. I was watching it with my mother, though, so it was kind of awkward when they were showing all of the naked-ness. It was funny when all the girls were dancing and Kyan (I think it was Kyan) said, "Hey, Jai, that's what you do!" and Jai started dancing.
I'm soooo glad those Bravo peeps finally let Jai go do something that requires a lil shedding of the clothes. I was like, ah Kyan's shirtless again, good enough. But then JAI walked out in shorts and a tank, and I literally gasped and screamed! My mom was saying, "Maggie, close your eyes." Haha! Yeah RIGHT. I did, however, miss them on Conan last night (that bites 'cause I love Conan, too). Stupid me didn't check her e-mail yesterday, so I didn't know about it. Saw the Regis and Kelly thing, though, but I'll rave about that on another thread.
