TLC - can't go wrong! Shame what happened to Left Eye - very sad. Lovin' Waterfalls, Scrubs, and Dear Lie.
Thom likes Kylie M. and some group called Phish among others. When he read off his list I was like "huh?" My sister is mainly into that stream of music, she would know more of the artists he likes. I can't even pretend, lol

Phish is a Grateful Dead knockoff band that was really popular around the late 90s or so - they're a rootsy jam band. They had fans called Phishheads who would follow them around and wear patchouli and tie-dye. Maybe Thom was one of those? Because that would be awesome.

Phish came to AK a year ago or so, as I remember. I THINK (not sure at all, this is just a guess) they're mainly rockish, maybe with some jazzy influences.

I just want to say thanks to all the people who posted about going to see Jai's show. I know it was a one time only thing but wouldn't it would be great if he could take it to a few places outside of NY. I just saw the pictures from D's site-oh I wish I could of been there!
And I finally got myself a copy of Jai's "Love is good"-still to come yet in the mail but cannot wait to hear it after seeing the lyrics printed here from time to time.

I love Carson too, as I said on the other forum (Gen. Comments) he reminds me so much of Paul, who was a friend of my mom, he was also gay but he died about 8 years ago... He used to make us all laugh here too, his jokes was just like Carson's and for me, Carson is so Paul, that's one of the reasons why I also love him so much!
But me fave one's definatelly Ted, I think he's so handsome and I love him so very much!

Mmm... Wanna know what makes me "goo-gaa" for Teddy?!? Okie, here it goes: Ted's so handsome, his eyes are so beautiful, I like his hands too, they seem to be so soft, his voice his so smooth, he dresses so well, I can almost smell his perfum through the TV!, I love the way he cooks, he's so organized!, I think he looks so smart and so... WOW (lol) with his glasses, I love when he smiles, the way his cheeks shine when he laughs, I love the way he talks to ppl, he's so polite, so ellegant... Geez, did you see why he makes me go "goo-gaa"?!? lol
I LOVE all the other boys too, but Ted's definatelly a 100% my fave boy!!!
Oh, hun, and since you're such a hige Thommie fan, here's a list of things that I love about him: Thom's tall (I love tall guys!), he has broad shoulders (I love broad shoulders!), he has such a beautiful and shiny smile, he has such a great body shape too and he's such an excellent interior designer with an excellent taste!!!

Sales keep sinking at Pier 1

FORT WORTH - Pier 1 Imports had the worst January sales performance of the 74 chains tracked by a major trade association, as the home furnishings chain continued its downward spiral in a better-than-expected month for many of the nation's retailers.
Across the industry, same-store sales -- sales at stores open at least a year -- rose 3.6 percent from last January, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers. But at Pier 1, same-store sales fell more than 10 percent, the company's 10th consecutive monthly decline. Total sales decreased 5.1 percent as revenue from new stores failed to make up for the shortfall.
Chairman Marvin Girouard said the chain is improving its merchandise and the look of its stores. But shopper traffic at Pier 1 has slowed for several months since the company, unhappy with new advertisements featuring Queer Eye for the Straight Guy design expert Thom Filicia, pulled its television commercials and set to work on a new campaign scheduled to debut in March.
"I don't think it's just the marketing campaign. With retailing, it's always about merchandising," said Southwest Securities analyst Ozarslan Tangun, who has a "neutral" rating on Pier 1 shares (ticker: PIR). "You have to have the right merchandise at the right price and then support it with marketing. But this mid-March campaign will be critical."
Pier 1 shares fell 11 cents Thursday to $17.82.
Retailers that started the year with more aggressive marketing efforts, such as Target and J.C. Penney, fared better in January, as did high-end merchants and chains catering to teen-agers. Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Bebe and Gadzooks all reported double-digit increases, helping the industry beat the council's forecast for a 2.5 percent January gain.
Target's same-store sales jumped 9.4 percent, beating Wall Street estimates and outshining Wal-Mart's 3.2 percent gain. J.C. Penney reported a 3.3 percent increase. Results at Gap's chains were mixed: Sales declined at Gap and Old Navy and rose at Banana Republic.
Holiday clearance promotions and the redemption of gift cards account for a big portion of the retail transactions conducted in January, which typically is the smallest sales month for merchants. But January also is a time for retailers to give shoppers their first look at spring items. Stein Mart and J.C. Penney were among the chains that reported a strong initial response to spring merchandise.
Brisk sales of lingerie and accessories helped Dillard's lift its same-store sales by 3 percent, its strongest showing in 10 months. But the parent company of Foley's, May Department Stores, had a 7.2 percent drop.
The Bombay Co. saw its business stabilize after a full year of monthly sales declines. Last month's same-store sales were little changed from the previous January. The Fort Worth-based furnishings chain, which took steep price markdowns to clear out leftover holiday goods, said it began February with fresh inventory incorporating a sharper sense of fashion."

I'm sure the couture the boys wear on the show come straight from the designers themselves; I highly doubt that they get those clothes retail.

Cost Pepsi Co. 2.6 million to get on the air and another 1.2 million to make.
A lot of the students in the class thought it was funny, especially when Carson came on, though most of them only knew him as the 'gay guy.' The professor thought it was risky.
Looks like our Carson has signed a deal with Pepsi, hope it lasts!

Thommie's always joking, just like Carson! He's so happy, I loved him on an ep. where he ran with Carson all over the street to go to Burger King, the 2 of them seem to have a great 'joke connection' sometimes! lol
Ted makes his smart comments and, like you said, Thom's always saying something about them! I think the 5 guys have such an excellent 'chemistry', it's so good to see how they interact with each other and it's amazing to see what a great group they are!
