"I get dibs on Butch though..."

BUTCH!! Girl, you can do better than that! Even at my age, I'd sooner bed-down for the evening with an inspired DVD. The only one more hideous, I've seen so far, is the chubby who proposed on the field in Giants Stadium.

My favorites, so far, are the young elevator mechanic with the western (cowboy) hat. Now, can that guy wear a tux, or what! The other one was the Charles Manson type, who lives in Jersey, and still lives with the woman he divorced. I can see myself with him (before haircut) in a room, illuminated only by blacklights, and dialog by Tom Of Finland.

Umm.. I have already "done better", but Butch is my guilty fantasy. The Butch episode was the first episode I chanced upon of Queer Eye, and I prefer intense men who are on the quiet side. Of course Butch is supposedly straight so there would be no chance even were I single.
Now the elevator mechanic was way too sweet for me. I need a man with a harder edge. But his girlfriend was a treat.. like Disney's Princess Jasmine. The Jersey guy who renewed vows with his ex-wife.. I think his name was Brud? was a character for sure. His children spoke well for him. He wasn't handsome, but I bet he is a great lover.
I wouldn't call the football guy hideous. He is tall and that is very sexy.. only <gagging> the Fab5 gave him a football themed bedroom fit for an eight year old. So my mind just doesn't "go there" with him, a fact I'm sure he would be happy about. Each to his own!

Thanks so much Witchgirl for your Fab 5 experience! I think probably because Kyan's my favorite I would be the most nervous and would worry if I would say something wrong.
You said he was frazzled and I read he was called back from a vacation. I keep reading reports about Kyan's soft hands-
maybe someday I can get a handshake from him. And then he said "I Love You" and gave you a big hug. Lucky Girl!

Again congratulations on meeting the boys!

Thank you. Don't worry about saying something wrong, the boys are all really sweet. I probably would have said something more to Kyan, but like I said, he seemed kinda frazzled, and I didn't want to get on his nerves.

Okay, just so you know, this is adapted from what I wrote to the yahoo group so I don't have to type it all out again. I have also posted this at Carson's website.

I will do my best to recap my experience. ...

Witchgirl, congrats on hanging with the boys!! And you met Red (Dee)! I call her "Red" because of her hair.

Thanks! I almost didn't get to meet them because I didn't have the right kind of ticket, but because Dee and I were the first ones there at five 'o clock, I guess the lady in charge took pity on us and let us in to see them.

Thanks. My hair is actually the thing I like best about myself. And I love my haircut. The back is cut short with a straight razor. The sides are angled so that the front makes a point on my chin. Of course, you can't really see that since I part it so that I can see. And the whole thing is layered. As for the color, it's completely natural. I have never dyed, permed, or straightened my hair in my life. It's what Kyan would call "virgin hair."

I feel GREAT!!!

It's been a heckuva few weeks and things have kicked my butt but now things are on the upswing. Plus, last night we had an AMAZING lightning storm!! The skies were full of strikes and you could breathe in the power from the air...completely invigorating! I've been helping people out and it's cut into my sleep so I hadn't had the chance to recharge until the storm. The lightning was incredible and I have my energy back for now. I feel great

I was surfing the tube over the weekend and landed on a tv show on Style network. It's under the Martha Stewart Living "umbrella" but it was called Wedding Party and the subject was Destination Weddings: The Bahamas. The show featured the wedding of James Dunning and Susan Magrino. To my shock, I spotted Greg Calejo among the guests and then.....drum roll.....there was Thom....in his tux, looking incredible! His name wasn't mentioned once...he was just included in the "....and as the guests began to arrive....". At first, I thought the connection could be that Thom and Martha have homes in the Hamptons and perhaps either Magrino or Dunning were neighbors (which is still a possiblility) but then I did a little snooping and found out that Susan Magrino is a publicist with her own company and so now the little wheels in my head are turning in the Greg Calejo/publicist direction. The part that gave my heart a twinge was that Thom called me on September 29th and the wedding was in the Bahamas on October 2nd. He had to have been in the process of making travel plans but took the time to call me which is super, super nice. I will sadly, pathetically admit that it was bittersweet to see him sitting next to Greg at the wedding.

I checked the Style network site and found a little synopsis of the episode but they didn't mention Thom or any of the guests and no photos.

It was nice of Thom to take the time to call....what a sweet heart!!!

The subject line pretty much says it all. The Fab Five are being featured on a Celebrity Playlist on iTunes and you can buy all 74 of their favorite songs for 73 bucks. They have them separated into favorite songs of Ted, Jai, Kyan, Thom and Carson. If you've got iTunes, it should be right there at the top with a pic of the Fab Five when you enter the music store.
signladybc
Off topic, not even Queer Eye subject, but just read that Michael Jackson has been acquitted on all 10 counts.
And the screechers, homophobes, radical conservatives are concerned about the openly Gay/Lesbian population being around kids? I'm sick!
One can only hope that acquittal or not NO other parent will consider leaving their young son at Neverland. Any parent that does is really only committing child abuse by proxy.
And that's my humble opinion--

I don't have iTunes and I'm computer-challenged (to put it nicely).....I would be your love slave for the weekend if you could please tell me Thom's favorite songs. If you prefer to e-mail me, that's fine. tomasulo@marineland.com

I'll do it....here are Thom's favorite's....and his comments are hysterical...if you could see them...I can, but only at home.....

Thom:
Wish You Were Here, Pink Floyd
Box of Rain, Grateful Dead
Gone, Jack Johnson
Somebody Told Me, The Killers
Take It Easy, Eagles
Radio #1, 4:22
Yellow, Coldplay
Alec Eiffel, Pixies
The House That Jack Built, Aretha Franklin
Peace Frog, The Doors
Rapper's Delight, The Sugarhill Gang
Sunday Bloody Sunday, U2

I do know that the U2 song, reminded him of the time when he was in camp with his girlfriend by the name of "Muffy", cute, huh? Thom dated a girl named Muffy, I love it!
tomasulo
Oh, Deb....you are a ghodess!!! Thank you, thank you! Let me know what weekend you're available and I'll borrow the love slave equipment from Kord and Marina........okay, never mind! But you do have my undying love!!!!! I would love to see Thom's comments if you have a way of sending them to me and find yourself with time to kill some day, but I understand if it's a pain in the butt.

Okay thanks to EasternBird on Str8girl's site here is everyone's tunes and comments:

Ted Allen

"In no particular order"

"Words'" (Track 1): "You gotta love anthemic Britpop."

'"Driftwood'" (Track 2): "You gotta love really fey, anthemic Britpop."

'"Bend & Break'" (Track 3): "You gotta love really, really fey, really, really anthemic Britpop. This whole album is so soaring and pretty."

"We Used to Be Friends'" (Track 4): "Picking one Dandys song is a tough call -I love everything they have ever done, in all their snarky, rockin', originality, grand scale, and decadent cooler-than-you-ness. I could pick 'Godless,' 'Plan A,' 'I Am a Scientist,' or 'I Am Over It' just as easily, but nothing seems to sum up the beautifully clever snottiness of this band as, 'A long time ago, we used to be friends. But I haven't thought of you lately at all.' On the other hand, this line from 'Solid' has always been a fave of mine, too:

Yeah, l've got a beautiful new Asian girlfriend. She comes over and hangs around for days in my bed. I mean, you can't seriously believe I'm thinking about you, man."'

'"Handshake Drugs'" (Track 5): "Best song on the new album. Except for 'Company in My Back.' Nobody writes smarter, sadder, better songs about people you love and also want to kill. I can't believe I lived in Chicago for 1 3 years and was too stupid to go see the band that would eventually become my favorite band."

'"She's a Jar'" (Track 6): "Best song they ever recorded, and that's saying a lot. The smartest, saddest, most interesting song Tweedy has written about people you love and also want to kill."

'"Step Into My Office, Baby" (Track 7): "The jolliest song about sexual harassment that I can think of. Wry, witty, and - you're gonna sense a theme, here, soon - deliciously fey."

'"Homesick'" (Track 8): "Speaking of fey ... but God, it's beautiful. Nouveau Simon & Garfunkel acoustic folk, but Euro. Note: The photograph on the album cover shows the artists playing chess on the floor. I mean ... "

'"Call Me Mellow'" (Track 9): "My favorite song from an amazing new album from a band that everybody should still be paying attention to. Purty, jangly, gorgeous harmonies. Sgt. Pepper-y in a really good way."

'"Keep Moving'" (Track 10): "Sleek and chic, like everything Ivy has recorded."

'"Alzheimer's'" (Track 11): "Why do I keep forgetting your name? Maybe I never liked you anyway.' Dark, dark fu n ... "

'"Mona Lisa'" (Track 12): "Smart, cool, real rock. Any band that plays with Jackson Browne at John Varvatos parties is cool by me."

'"Up with People'" (Track 13): "Brilliant, subtle, weird and beautiful. Dark and joyful. (Thank God I'm not a rock critic - all these vague adjectives aren't very helpful, but I'm serious about them). I adore everything this band has ever recorded. They're from Nashville. I think there are about 75 of them."

'"There She Goes'" (Track 14): "It is completely impossible to not be happy when you play this song. And none of the cover versions have ever come close to this one, the original. Which is to say that I really wish people would stop trying to cover it."

'"Run Run Run'" (Track 15): "Cute, cool, young band from France; a great, fresh, laconic, sophisticated sound."

'"The Shining'" (Track 16): "The perfect opening suite to a rich, dense, fascinating album, front to back. Buy it."

"Warning Sign'" (Track 17): "Of course all of their songs are amazing. Somehow it seems as if this band will be around as long as U2, doesn't it? "

"Warning Sign'" (Track 18): "Different song from the Coldplay bit above. From More Songs A bout Buildings and Food. Like a triptych with the two songs that come before it on the album."

'"Krafty"" (Track 19): "Sweet, dopey lyrics that don't make any sense, that great, high-register stuff from Peter Hook's bass, pretty guitar chords. New classic New Order."

Jai Rodriguez

"Okay, so my playlist is all pop and R&B. I know the other guys are more rock driven, so this list is a shout out to all my top 20 lovers."

'"Get Right'" (Track 20): "This is on at least once a day, not just cause I Love J. Lo but the song makes me move. And the hip-hop mix is so HOT!"

'"Ryde or Die'" (Track 21): "Love this song 'cause Jennifer really does some pretty runs and licks in this. It's sweet but the hook and melody in the chorus snag me."

'"Guantanamera'" (Track 22): "Get on your feet, Gloria Estefan - Sorry. My mom made me dance with her to this song often, growing up."

""Valentine'" (Track 23): "What? This song breaks my heart. Love it! Love it!"

'"Lose My Breath'" (Track 24): "These ladies are hot and super sweet. Their sound makes me wanna shake my body in a bootilicious way."

'"Caught Up'" (Track 25): "I love him. Saw him at the Kentucky Derby and was too shy to say hello. The runs on the word 'so' slay me. His vocals make me wanna sing."

'"This Time I Know It's for Real'" (Track 26): "This is a song I remember hearing in my mom's car over and over on long trips. I love it."

'"No More Drama'" (Track 21): "I was going through a break up when this song came out. It will forever be my anthem."

'"P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)"" (Track 29): "God I love him. He taught me how to sing."

'"Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours'" (Track 29): "What a voice on Stevie. Who wouldn't want someone to pledge this vow to them. It very romantic, yet upbeat."

'"Hollaback Girl'" (Track 30): "Sometimes I just wanna be Gwen Stefani. This song is the closest I am going to get to that, in my bathroom mirror with a hairbrush."

'"Baby, Get Lost'" (Track 31): "I love Dana Owens' sound. It's real pure and not affected. It brings jazz to a new generation. I love it."

'"He Loves Me (Lyzel in E Flat)'" (Track 32): "I did RENT with Jill Scott and she would play songs she was writing. I don't think any of us knew how famous she would become. I listen to these songs now and remember her playing songs on her guitar in that Vancouver hotel room."

'"Everwanting: To Want You to Want'" (Track 33): "I love this whole album. But be warned, if this song is playing and you are lying in bed with your partner, you will end up pregnant."

Kyan Douglas

""World Leader Pretend'" (Track 34): "R.E.M. will always evoke a strong sense of nostalgia for (me) because of the significance of the time in my life that I was first turned on to their music. I was leaving high school and all that that represents and coming in to my own life for the first time. World Leader Pretend,' for me is an anthem for self-discovery and autonomy."

'"Poses'" (Track 35): "It is almost impossible for me to put in to words why these songs, any song, move me and what they mean to me. It is especially hard to express why Rufus' work is so moving. His verses and music are hauntingly beautiful and truthful. Poses exposes our mixed up priorities."

'"This Woman's Work'" (Track 36): "Kate Bus h 's Sensual World will also always evoke a sense of nostalgia for me. It reminds me of my friend Pam. 'This Woman's Work' is about, for me, the deep sorrow of our mistakes, and missed opportunities. It's a sad song."

'"Radio Ga Ga'" (Track 31): "This is just one of those songs I will always love because it represents an era and has a distinct sound and feel. Freddie Mercury is missed ... "

'"Love Will Tear Us Apart'" (Track 39): "How many nights did I spend on a dance floor with this song? When I was turned on to Joy Division, it was an epiphany. There was nothing like it on the radio where I grew up."

'"Sunday Bloody Sunday" (Track 39): "A classic for my generation. I loved the drums. I loved the strength and passion of this song. Something I would come to love in many of U2's songs and later in Bono's humanitarian work."

'"Movies of Myself '" (Track 40): "Rufus Wainwright's voice and lyrics are addictive. This is one of my favorite of his songs."

""You Are the Everything'" (Track 41): "This song reminds me of road trips to Texas. I was in my early twenties when it came out. I remember long flat highways with green fields on either side and red sun sets."

'"I Touch Roses'" (Track 42): "This song reminds me of being a senior in high school and dating a girl in college. She loved this song and I thought I was so cool for having a girlfriend in college. Oh well."

'"Jane Says'" (Track 43): "Another song of nostalgia. This one reminds me of Tallahassee, Fl." '"Space Age Love Song'" (Track 44): "Wow, the eighties. Flock of Seagulls is the ultimate eighties band. This song reminds me of the dance floor at CPA on 'straight nights' in Tallahassee."

'"Dream On'" (Track 45): "Aerosmith is arguably the best American rock band ever. This song is a classic right up there with 'Hotel California' by the Eagles. It reminds me of my childhood and adolescence."

'"Good Times'" (Track 46): "This song is just good, psychedelic fun. Easy going and smooth. Not to be taken too seriously."

'"Planet Queen'" (Track 41): "I love T-Rex and this is one of my favorites."

'"Sing Your Life'" (Track 49): "The Smiths and Morrissey represent an era for me, youth. I love the upbeat, airy feel of this song."

'"Rhiannon'" (Track 49): "This is a classic. I love Stevie's voice and here it is at its best."

Thom Filicia

"Wish You Were Here'" (Track 50): "I swear I thought it was a cigarette."

"Box of Rain'" (Track 51): "My crunchy preppy years."

"Gone'" (Track 52): "Driving to the lake."

"Somebody Told Me'" (Track 53): "Someone left this album in my car ... and I love it!"

"Take It Easy" (Track 54): "Upstate New York."

"Sunday Bloody Sunday" (Track 39): "Summer camp with my girlfriend Muffy. (True)."

"Radio'# 1'" (Track 55): "I feel like I'm floating."

"Yellow'" (Track 56): "One of my favorite bands AND one of my favorite colors."

"Alec Eiffel'" (Track 51): "I think the person that left the Killers album in my car also left the Pixies ... thanks!"

"This Is the House that Jack Built'" (Track 59): "Summer of '92, Nantucket."

"Peace Frog'" (Track 59): "My favorite band, named after an important element found in architecture."

"Rapper's Delight'" (Track 60): "I'm not as Old as Ted, but I am Old School."

Carson Kressley

"Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves," (Track 61): "I like the new Cher, the Classic Cher, and everything in between. This one tells a great story ... just Whose perfume was it? Ah, gentle listener, tune in and find out!"

"Summer Fling," (Track 62): "one phrase in this song sums it all up: Kennedy Flair. Makes me think Of summer on the cape, madras and margaritas."

"Dancing Queen," (Track 63): "Dude, Swede! This one always makes me feel good. Anytime any Place. Guaranteed to make you sing along in your car like a major dork."

"Flawless (Go to the City)'" (Track 64): "originally done by the Ones, Will give everyone the thrill of being chased by paparazzi. Good times. Good times."

"Filthy Gorgeous," (Track 65): "Who says filthy can't be gorgeous? It's dirty and Clean all at the same time. Oh, the irony."

"Taylor, the Latte Boy" (Track 66): "Who would have thought love would be so caffeinated?"

"Rich Girl'" (Track 61): "Inspired by a showtune from Fiddler on the Roof. Sexy, updated and hot. Maybe they should do it for Fiddler on the Roofies."

"The Wonder Of It All'" (Track 69): "The gay anthem for summer '05'. Ask for this one at your favorite tea dance. If you have to ask What a tea dance is, you probably won't like it."

"These Words'" (Track 69): "More British dance flava. Groovy and not too hard. Just the way I like it. Except for the not too hard part."

"Sand In My Shoes," (Track 10): "Makes me wanna hit the beach ... or stay home and cry."

"Emotional Rollercoaster'" (Track 11): "The name says it all."

"Send In the Clowns," (Track 12): "Okay, just seeing if you are paying attention. My bad."

I just want to say that I bought this album (Hour of Bewilderbeast) because Ted said he likes Badly Drawn Boy and I was badly in need of something different - and it's GREAT. Yeah, go buy it.

"Warning Sign'" (Track 18): "Different song from the Coldplay bit above. From More Songs A bout Buildings and Food. Like a triptych with the two songs that come before it on the album."

Ooooh, Talking Heads!

Ted's got good taste. I'm going to check out some more of his.

Kyan Douglas

""You Are the Everything'" (Track 41)

This may be my favorite REM song, and REM is a longtime love of mine. It's one of those weird obscure songs nobody ever remembers, so I was surprised and pleased to see it on Kyan's list! I was even more surprised to see how many songs on Kyan's list are stuff I really like.

""World Leader Pretend'" (Track 34)
"Sunday Bloody Sunday" (Track 39)
"Dream On'" (Track 45)
"Rhiannon'" (Track 49)

Quote:

Thom Filicia

"Wish You Were Here'" (Track 50)

Why, it's my favorite Pink Floyd song!

Jai - ummmmm.... I didn't even recognise anything on his list. Well, not that didn't make me go ewwwwww. He sure is a pop-oriented little thing.

And Carson... okay, I have fond memories of Gypsies Tramps and Thieves, I admit. And he may have been joking, but I really like Send in the Clowns!
tomasulo
raindog: I'm SO glad you said that about Send In The Clowns. I used to love Judy Collins and Joan Baez. See, Thom.....I'm even more Old School than you, Pumpkin!
tomasulo
I almost poked myself in the nose with a chopstick (I had sushi for lunch) when I was reading Thom's comments. There's a scene in my screenplay where Thom and Devon are driving to the lake, but I hadn't suggested a background song for that scene.....and now Thom has unwittingly done it for me...Gone by Jack Johnson!

People have compared this to the OJ Simpson case, and in the jury interview yesterday on Court tv, I have to say that several of the jurors seemed young and too impressed by the international fame of Michael Jackson. They seemed much too pleased with themselves for their decision on such a troubling case.

Common sense tells us that no 40 year old man puts alarms on the hall leading to his bedroom, and sleeps in a bed with young boys, many from disadvantaged families, in a bedroom locked from the inside against even the boys' own mothers, unless he has questionable motives.
But our system of criminal justice does not provide for guilt on suspicion, and the jury found reasonable doubt.

Mr. Jackson's employees, those testifying for and against him were all discredited. The victims mother was proven to be an accomplished liar and manipulator. And the teenage boy was probably not as pitiful to the jury as Michael Jackson's pathetic celebrity self. None of those jurors wanted to be known as the jurist who put Michael Jackson in prison.

Why? They may have looked at his emaciated body and cosmetically disfigured face and thought he could not survive prison, and were not ready to sentence such an accomplished artist to death even for a serious crime.
They may have had concerns about their own safety if they sent him to prison, as his fans included some obviously obsessive types who camped out in the streets. These jurors were not sequestered.

Whatever their reason, the case gave them many doubts to choose from. If I were on that jury it would have taken a very persuasive teenager to convince me to convict, as I think I would have considered most of the other witnesses unreliable. Common sense would tell me Jackson is guilty of something, but I'm not sure he is a rapist.

That is why it is troubling to me that the jury cleared Jackson of even the more provable charges of providing a minor with alcohol. They basically said that Michael Jackson did nothing wrong! And that flies against reason!

I think the reason for this is that Jackson is a celebrity, an artist, and he chose his victims well. I'm sure he would not touch a boy until he had thoroughly compromised the boy's guardians and convinced the boy it was consensual. And perhaps in Jackson's mind it was.

Just because I don't believe that Jackson was a rapist in a violent sense, does not mean that I don't think that he damaged boys with manipulation and betrayal. He seemed to move from boy to boy. I read an article that well-depicted him as an emotional Vampire sucking the innocence out of a child and then leaving them sad and confused when he moved on to the next one. Even if he never touched the boys he locked himself in with in his fortress of a bedroom, no one can say that any of the ordinary boys who spent time in his bed are better off for it. His only enduring friendships seem to be with other celebrities. The boys were used.

Jackson is a master manipulator. From his standing on a car encouraging his fans at the beginning of the trial, to showing up in his pajamas later on, he played to his reputation of oddness and fragility. That the jury let him off without even a misdemeanor is simple testament to the power of celebrity and the cleverness of his lawyer who kept him from taking the stand and answering questions. Michael Jackson was allowed his mystique all through the trial. He was painted as special, as a misunderstood artist, and the jurors were more comfortable with that depiction, than that they were with the fact that they were all being played for fools and that a predator was able to operate right under their noses for so many years. And yes, they did have reasonable doubt and that made it all the easier to reconcile.

They did the right thing on the molestation charge, and the wrong thing vindicating Jackson on every single other charge. They sent him home able to pretend that he did nothing wrong. That is why the jury has no respect from me.
If Michael Jackson finds another woman to rent her body for more biological children to hang over balconies or otherwise amuse himself with, or finds another single mother to rent children from for his legal or illegal amusement, those jurors are partially responsible. If a multimillion settlement with a former accusers family did not stop this behavior, a complete aquittal is like outright encouragement.

It's disgusting I agree signladyb.

I just wanted to comment on Michael Jackson having biological children. I'm not convinced that the kids that he claims are biologically his really are. Remember that genetically Michael Jackson is black and those kids certainly are not half black.

That is interesting and you could be right, but I do know that some children of two dark-skinned parents can and have passed for white. I have read stories of families of 8 children where one or two were able to "pass" and cut off ties with their dark skinned relatives to acheive upward social mobility. Whether it is genetic heritage from slave days when many black women were raped by white masters or overseers, or from mixed race relationships from more recent times, it is possible. But I agree that even though Jackson chose blondes, he is strange enough to want to ensure his children (legally by contract) are as fair-skinned as possible. That might prove your point.
This reminds me, did anyone hear of the controversy about the race horse owner who was denied the request to name his horse Sally Hemmings. Sally Hemmings was the light-skinned slave of Thomas Jefferson who became his lover when she was a young girl and was involved with him until she was quite old. I read that even after he finally freed his slaves, he never freed her. His descendants have only recently and with bad feelings accepted the descendants of Jefferson and Hemmings as being related. I think that gives them the right to be buried in some family plot, I'm not sure. Big deal.
Anywayhow, Sally was very fair. I wonder what the color of the race horse was, and what was the motivation of the owner? Was he trying to bring attention to the personal hypocrisy of Thomas Jefferson, or was he (or she?) racist?

Hi tomasulo,

I know you're probably sick of this right now, but would you mind if I got to look at the screenplay?

Aw mannnn... are you telling me I didn't get tomasulo as a love slave!?!?!? *pout pout* This sucks.

Hey, this might go better in the hints and tips thread, but does anyone have any good tips for getting half-taken out paint stains from carpet? I kinda made a mess today painting my wall a beautiful teal... and now I have a huge blue spot (half of the blue is most likely from my blue Dawn dishsoap that I used when I was out of Oxy).

Susan is right.....I never get sick of chit-chatting about the screenplay. So, bileotter, if you e-mail me your e-mail address (or fax or street address), I'll send you a copy. The only stipulation is that you give me feedback....especially if you enjoy it!!!

Sorry.....Deb and Easternbird were really quick on the draw with those playlists. I am grateful that you mentioned the playlists to begin with so hang in there, JustTzujIt, never say never!

Sorry about your carpet....can you just rearrange your furniture to cover it? (Yup, that tells you something about my domestic skills, doesn't it? )

Email sent! I figured better to ask first, just in case. I've been very curious about this for a while and just managed to get my nerve up to ask about it.

I have the feeling that the Muffy comment is true. Thom comes from an upscale area in Syracuse where names like Bitty and Buffy.....and Muffy aren't unusual. (I'm having a flashback to the John D. episode when Jai says "Oh my god...you look fabulous!" in his best exaggerated preppie voice.) Muffy, if you're out there....you're my idol!

Wow, I didn't know I was that intimidating! I'm definitely ready for Hollywood! Who knew?!?! I've forwarded it to you, but let me know if I screwed it up and I'll try again or we can just make whining, begging sounds and one of the other peeps on the board will jump in and help get it to you.

Notevayas,
As always a reasoned and well thought out response to my impulsive reaction.
You are quite right on all counts, I fear. (The fact that young celebs like MacCaully Culkins and Emmanuel Lewis weigh in on the innocent side (I know, EM wasn't called or consulted on this case specifically) is more fuel for the idea that MJ may not victimize boys who have status/money). Actually, I've always wondered about way back when (you must have been but a boy yourself, Notey) when MJ attached himself so closely to the young boy who had AIDS, Ryan White.
But I still contend that the next parent who actually allows, encourages his/her child to become one of Michael's pets is just as guilty of child abuse and the parent who abuses the child him/herself.
RE your comments about Sally Hemming, again--spot on and so interesting!
I wonder why adults (like Lisa Marie, and his other 'wife' Debbie) won't speak up. I suppose it's a losing battle. But what kind of coercion could he have especially for Lisa Marie? Just curious.
Cheers,
