Sorry about your carpet....can you just rearrange your furniture to cover it? (Yup, that tells you something about my domestic skills, doesn't it? )
Haha, okay My mom rented this big honkin' cleaner thing, and we got most of the rest out. We can't exactly place a piece of furniture over it, because it's by the wall but not by the wall *enough*... it sticks out right from under my bureau. We're thinking a throw rug in front of the bureau.

RE your comments about Sally Hemming, again--spot on and so interesting!
I wonder why adults (like Lisa Marie, and his other 'wife' Debbie) won't speak up. I suppose it's a losing battle. But what kind of coercion could he have especially for Lisa Marie? Just curious.

And yet we know there will be women clamouring for Jackson to take their kids in the wake of this as there are women clamouring to rent their wombs to him. It is about money and fame. Hopefully he will not accomodate them or turn interest on his own legal children.
The world is filled with sad people who live in fantasy and attach themselves in their minds to someone famous/exceptional in order to cope with insecurity and/or loneliness. When Jackson was aquitted of all ten counts, there was a blonde lady outside the courthouse who, one by one, loosed ten white doves into the air. Surely she wanted a bit of the attention like many others. If he were found guilty would she have beheaded her birds?
Who knows?
I really don't follow celebrity gossip, but I get the impression that Lisa (the celebrity) has access to her child and Debbie (non celebrity) does not. In fact, I would be surprized if Debbie has any rights at all as I heard that she signed a very tough contract.
As to why a woman would allow her son to be molested and why a boy might not say anything.. think of the situation with Sally Hemmings. It is hard to believe that as a young girl that she wanted the attentions of an older man, but her aquiesence gave her and her family many benifits, and to object would, at the very least, land her family to the auction block and uncertainty. That, plus the flattery of being wanted in any way by a person of power, explains the young person's motivation. Protect the interests of your family, your own ego, your frienship with the abuser..
And we know that there are women who sacrifice their children to drug addicted users, nevermind a polite generous man like Jackson.
But why would a savvy celebrity hook up with Jackson in the first place, give him a child, and not speak doubt when he makes it clear he likes to sleep with boys?
Think of Thomas Jefferson's wife. She knew about Sally Hemmings sleeping with her husband as a child. She had a daughter roughly the same age with Jefferson. Whether or not she tried to prevent the slave abuse, she knew that she probably had no reason to fear for her own daughter as long as he had Sally. The fact that the relationship between Jefferson and Hemmings endured and was thought to be somewhat of an open secret among his peers, supported that. Even if Mrs. Jefferson was concerned for the children, to give voice to what was suspected, would not have lowered Jackson's stature any, only her own. It would be too risky.
Michael Jackson's children's mothers should worry now if Jackson is cut off from stranger's children, that he might justify his needs in turning to his own children. Many men are just naturally selfish and don't have the nurturing or protective instinct in them. Even in nature, the male animal is often a threat to offspring. Also, Jackson is thought to be the product of an abusive upbringing himself. All the red flags are there.
It is regrettable that Lisa Marie seems more worried about sullying her own reputation, than ensuring the safety of the children because I think Debbie signed away all her parental rights. And with his own virtual "child plantation" with a group of unethical "overseers", he has shut himself and his children away from the outside world. He is not likely to be held to any standard of behavior inside his little fiefdom called Neverland.

If the "Lisa" you're referring to here is Lisa Marie, she never had children with Jackson. Her kids are from her first marriage, and to that ex-husband's credit, he would not allow Jackson to have unsupervised visits with those kids. (According to some recent articles, anyway.) Other than Debbie Rowe, I don't think the mother of Jackson's other kid (kids?) has ever been made public.

I stand corrected.
It was my impression that both marriages were shams for the purpose of having children, test tube or otherwise. I guess then, Lisa could not help protect Debbie's child even if she wanted to, but it is my impression that both celebrities were using each other for attention anyway.
Whoever the mothers are, I am concerned for his legal children that Jackson may attempt to console himself with them. And I am irked because of the fact that Jackson has, in such a twisted/cynical way, used his legal right to marriages with women to attempt to cover up the motives for his stated preference of sleeping with boys.
Studies show that most abuse is heterosexual, but because of Jackson's fame and ambiguous sexuality, he is giving a black eye to all sexual minorities.
I hope a prominent lawyer takes a crack at him in a civil suit even though it will be difficult. In a civil suit he will be required to answer questions and explain himself. He will not be able to get away with whispering breathy little sound bites. He will have to admit that he is a 46 year old man who is responsible for his own actions, and for the instructions he gave his staff of nogoodniks many who seem to be subtly blackmailing him with what they know to keep their overpaid positions.
And maybe this time the victim's horrible mother will learn that it is harmful to her son to act like a prima donna when she deserves much of the blame herself. And snapping her fingers at any jury, especially a predominately white jury was just stupid. I feel terrible for her son. Hopefully his new father will stand up for him.

Again, you are so right! One would hope that now that the spotlight has been shown so brightly on him he would seek help and not be a threat to his or anyone else's kids. But then you'd a thunk after the 1993 thing he'd have done that too.

I don't want this show to be over! NO NO NO, but if it were to go off the air I agree that Carson would be doing stuff in front of the camera. Speaking of which Carson is in a movie with Hillary Duff and Heather Locklear. He plays a gay bartender.

Post subject: swish and flick!
You know,
I've read many negative reviews on Carson's new movie, "The Perfect Man", but I just don't get what the reviewers are all steamed up about. So what if it is more like a tv show or an after-school special? It's not being marketed as something it is not. Anyone watching the commercials should expect a fluffy pre-teen chick flick.
Maybe the original idea came from a real-life complicated family situation, but girls are not going to watch this movie and then run out and create fantasy boyfriends for their mothers. Most kids think of their parents even kissing each other and go ick! ick! ick!
Remember the classic movie.. "The Parent Trap". Now unlike this movie, that was clever and I wish Carson had played the nerdy Boy's Camp leader cameo in that one.. I can and will play it that way in my mind sometime.. but..
It also had deception and manipulation of parents by girls.. for the wholesome purpose of reuniting a broken family. And there was a closeted lesbian in that film who played the assistant to the Girl's Camp leader.. Nancy Kulp
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Kulp was an American actress best known as "Miss Jane Hathaway" on the popular television series, The Beverly Hillbillies.
Kulp was born into an upper middle class family in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees at, respectively, Florida State University and the University of Miami, she volunteered for service in World War II in the Navy's WAVES (Women Accepted for Voluntary Emergency Service) earning several decorations.
She moved to Hollywood to work in a studio publicity department, but director George Cukor convinced her that she should work in front of the camera.
Thus began a career as a character actor. Her movie debut was in 1951 in The Company She Keeps. She appeared in subsequent films, including Shane, Sabrina and A Star Is Born. In 1955, she joined the cast of The Bob Cummings Show. She returned to movies in Forever, Darling, The Three Faces of Eve and The Parent Trap, before The Beverly Hillbillies made her so widely-popular.
Political career
In 1984, Kulp ran for the U.S. House of Representatives as a Democrat from Pennsylvania, but was ultimately unsuccessful, due in part to Hillbillies co-star Buddy Ebsen's support of her Republican opponent, incumbent Bud Shuster. Ebsen went so far as to tape an ad for Kulp's opponent, labeling her as "too liberal." Kulp was bitter because Ebsen claimed she was exploiting her celebrity and didn't know the issues, when he was a Californian and a much bigger celebrity than she.
At the age of 67, in 1987, Kulp announced that she was a lesbian.
I just thought that was interesting. She wasn't a beauty, but it has been said that even though she played a "plain Jane career girl" for laughs, she did impart some dignity to the role and was one of the few such role models at the time on television. It can be argued that there isn't any more room in television for a plain-looking woman today than there was in the 1960's.. Even attractive news anchors are regularly replaced with younger beauties just out of college.
But I digress. I am not worried that "A Perfect Man" will corrupt America's girls into betraying their mother's trust so intimately. But it will give them a pleasant idle daydream of what it would be like to choose a parent.. just like "The Parent Trap" gave children of divorce the pleasant daydream of imagining that they could "trick" their parents back together.
It's called ESCAPISM folks.. and better for little girls to go to an inane movie with their pals, pop popcorn, and feel for an hour a little bit vicariously empowered and amused, than all the self destructive pastimes that are out there.
The only concern I will have until this movie comes out on video and I can surrepticiously order it delivered in a plain brown wrapper to my home, is that Carson is playing to a negative gay stereotype. I doubt he would, but I want to see for myself. He has played the clown on Queer Eye, but that is OK in the context that he is a professional at the top of his game and we get an hour each week to see his personality. But I wouldn't like to think that all these little straight girls are going to associate some foolish behavior as their only exposure to an "out" gay man.
Personally, Carson is miles ahead of me simply by the Virtue of his being 'out'. I have no right to judge. But others do, and I would hate for him to be negatively judged. Of course, is that any more fair than an actress whose first movie is "Godzilla Meets Bikini Brandy" being faulted for setting back the cause of feminism? I'm really disappointed by the bad reviews if they limit Carson's opportunities in acting for awhile. I still have hope that he is the reincarnation of Lucille Ball in some sense.
Oh, did I shock any of you that thought I was sane?
Don't look for sanity on the internet people!

First, I've been having posting withdrawal as for not being able to be anywhere near a computer during the weeks. Work burnout too! So...just a hour ago I came out of the theatre seeing Carson on the big screen. Okay, it's a chick flick but Carson was in the movie more than I thought and in Carson's last scene in the movie-NICE! Let's say Notey you would enjoy it! So I don't know if you want to wait for the DVD and watch it but I was glad I saw the big picture!
And I also hope people got to catch Carson on Conan last night. I would of missed it if not for a call from a friend. I almost forgot as I was enjoying myself at our local wine cafe and looked at my watch as I forgot to set the VCR. Carson was his naughty sassy self and he was all dressed in black with his shirt buttoned low-he looked so hot! I so enjoy the banter between Carson and Conan-Carson would make a good sidekick for Conan. So it's kind of a Carson weekend. And then THE DVDS coming out this next week!! Already I've told friends who all want to see those outtakes that we should plan an outtake party if we can get everybody together.

I just went to sidewalkstv.com and there was a new interview with Carson. A few weeks ago I submited a question for him and thought that there was little chance they would ask him it.
Well, I logged on to the site and when the interviewer was asking him the fan's questions mine was the last one! I was so excited!
I asked him I knew he had a children's book coming out this Fall and wondered what his favorite book as a child was? Well, after commenting on my town as being mentioned on "Little House On The Prairie" he said his favorite book as a child was "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein.
Another fan had a question on the rumor of Jai leaving in 2006 and the rest following and also the Jai is straight rumor. Carson responded to the first part by saying not true and we will stay as long as Bravo will have us. And for the second part "Jai is still on our team."
So thanks Carson for answering my question-this has been kind of a Carson weekend!

And my question is.....and Jai couldn't have asked Thom to appear in the show as well?
-------
"What? You want me to undress on stage?"
"Yeah Thom, they need an extra for the show. And I said you would strip with me. Come on your not afraid of undressing in public are you?"
"Well not really...but it's not completely nude is it?"
"Uh no, you can have a teensy weensy bathing suit on. Come on Thom.... please?"
"Oh okay. I'll meet you at the theater."
"Okay, bye.....there was that good enough?"
Deb standing with the wives in Jai's dressing room......
"Hell yeah!" Turning to face the group, "Hey girls Jai did it! He talked Thom into appearing with no clothes on! Well he did have a little coaxing...."
"Yeah Deb you can get the butter knife out of my ribs now!"
Wink, wink, nudge, nudge......well we can dream can't we?!

The Fab Five were on well the Fab Two and they're doing a contest where they will redecorate your office. All you have to do is send them a picture of your office, but the catch is you have to show that its a complete desaster area.
Well yet again I can't meet the FF because I work in a hospital and I take care of patients. Ok my bosses office is a tiny room and it is clutter city, but if they send in cameras and stuff well we get into the issue of patient's right to privacy or HIPPA, and beleive me that is a real sticky situation. One that I don't feel like getting sued over.

I'm kind of under the weather today so if I can get this this will cheer me up big time!

Well, after going to my local Best Buy on Friday-there were none there I was visiting people in Mpls. on Sat. and thought I would try there. So I went to a bigger Best Buy than down here and first nothing on the shelves again. Then I asked an employee and I told him there were none there so he went to the back and brought out more. But he said there were only two out. The ones I got are Kyan/Jai and Carson.
I'm not going to say anything about the bonus outtakes disc on Carson's but it is def. worth the purchase!
Maybe the other ones are coming out later.

I totally agree with you on the outtakes of Carson.

If I recall the original announcements correctly, Kyan/Jai and Carson's DVDs were to be released in June, and Ted's and Thom's will be released in July. Then, the 4-pack comes out also. What I'd like to know is whether the 4-pack contains everything that is in the 4 individual ones, because there's quite a price difference that may make one want to wait for the pack.

I agree with you on that Witchgirl! I was watching this late last night after getting home from the cities and obviously had to watch it when I got home!
I so wish Scout/Bravo would continue with these outtake discs for the fans. It is such a treat-just like Christmas!
