The Butch episode is on Thom's set. (I was wrong earlier when I said it was George's eppy.) Also, there are outtakes on this one!!! Lots of good outtakes of Thom and his many voices. LOL Very funny.

Hey, is it me, or did Thom get short-changed on the outtakes? Of the two discs, Carson gets an entire disc devoted to him being goofy/smutty, and Thom gets an episode shoehorned in and maybe twenty minutes of outtakes? What gives?

And gee, Bravo, thanks a lot for opting to make Ted and Kyan/Jai's bonus discs glorified CDs. Thanks bunches.

Yeah, okay, you know what? If I hadn't been so busy being a snotty little bee-yotch, I'd have noticed that John Bargeman's episode is also on Carson's disc. Boy, is my face red! That'll teach me to post when I'm in a lousy mood.

I still don't like the glorified CDs, though. Not one bit.

Heh. And after you posted that, I actually timed both Carson's and Thom's outtakes, and they're both 20 minutes (although they seem MUCH longer somehow). And Thom's cobbled-together "best of" was longer - maybe 10 minutes longer? Although this is all contingent on my sketchy understanding of my DVD player. I'm going by what it said. Which may be totally wrong since its workings are a big mystery to me.

I agree on the CD's, though. Which I still haven't checked out. Looks like they could have come up with outtakes from everyone.

Many thanks, KCee!!!
I hope my local cd/music store has the dvd in stock SOON.
What other eppys are on the disc, besides, ..."I Mean Does This Work for YOU.."

The Butch episode is the only full episode. As far as Thom's clips go, as someone mentioned, it's 20 minutes worth of different clips. Way too many to list or even remember.

I did read somewhere that in all of the DVDs, the clips are from Season 1.

There are actually two discs (that was a happy surprise), one with the Butch episode and about 20 minutes of outtakes, and the other one was over an hour of stuff from the shows. A "best of" sort of thing, that I really enjoyed. Carson's were the same format, with the John Bargeman episode. The others... apparently not so exciting, with the second DVD (or is it just a CD?) being music that sounds like it has nothing to do with anything. I haven't seen them yet, so am just making a guess there, though.

DD, being the Thom fanatic that you are, you REALLY need to get his!

If I were to describe the music CDs, I say that the one that is in the Kyan/Jai set is dance music, or club music. The CD that is in the Ted set I would call light jazz (which I actually like.)

But, as others have said, if I wanted music CDs I would buy music CDs. I find it hard to believe that Kyan, Jai and Ted haven't had enough interesting moments to make up a set of outtakes.

Many of Carson's outtakes include the other guys, but I think that Carson and Thom are the main instigators of pranks. Jai and Ted are the main victims. Kyan doesn't seem the pranking sort.
One of my favorite scenes was in the John Zimmerman episode (the Olympic figure skater} when they find a plastic bag of prescription creams and ointments. Carson squirts some white cream onto Ted's dark clothing around stomach level and quips.. 'I had no Idea I was so Close.' Now can you really imagine Ted, Kyan or Jai doing that?

They did include Carson drilling something into Ted [npi] in the 'Alan' episode. That could have been Ted's outtake because he did say 'Tis just a flesh wound.' in a funny accent while the blood was dripping down his face. But Carson took the scene right back from him by asserting that he was a nurse in the army.
Can anyone think of any pranks that made the show that Ted, Kyan or Jai instigated?

I wish my local cd/music store would have this in their store NOW!!! I don't & haven't ever ordered anything from amazon or ebay.

I will wait to see the THOM DVD. I guess.
I cannot wait to hear his sassy mouth and everything!!!!
Just THOM is all I gotta have!!
design_daddy
Did you ever see THOMMY & TED on the show called Life & Style???
design_daddy
Have you seen any of the photos in the 2005 wall & boxed-set calendar???
design_daddy
Do you doubt that there will be 2006 wall & boxed set calendars? I wonder why not?
I enjoy swooning over my spiky haired THOM

Was it me or did anyone else think that Jai had a slight crush on Ralph S.?

Well, it's not just pranks that are making it to the outtake reels. BTW, that was a corkscrew that Carson stabbed into poor Ted's head, and the "flesh wound" and accent are from Monty Python's Holy Grail (A wonderfully silly movie & I love Ted even more because he's quotes it!)

I was thinking about my previous statement, and it's very true that Carson & Thom are the most extroverted of the group & Kyan & Jai tend to be their (pardon the pun) straight men. Ted is somewhere in the middle. He has a dry wit that many people don't catch.

It seems like they could have found plenty of outtakes for everyone. Honestly, they film for THREE DAYS!!!

And I love Holy Grail too. The corkscrew scene has always been one of my favorites.

I've been a huge Monty Python fan since I was so young that my bedtime was an issue and I'd beg my mother to let me stay up late enough to watch it. Lucky for me she didn't think it was that funny, so wouldn't watch it with me - otherwise I'm sure it would have been banned, given the raciness of some of the sketches. Luckily again, it was on PBS so I guess she figured it was safe for viewing by kids!

That is one of my all time favorite movies. I once went to a midnight showing of it and the atmosphere was almost like the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Everyone was quoting along with the film & singing along with Sir Robin. LOL

My big brother first discoverd it and got the rest of us to watch it. I'm not sure my parents really knew what it was at the time because they never said not to watch it.
kyansutra
There has to be more outtakes that each one of them could of had one on their disc. I would of even enjoyed like on Carson's if the guys were flubbing up the lines on their hip tips. And I don't think all of Kyan and Jai's hip tips were used at the end. I remember one with Kyan shirtless with a towel around his neck talking about shampoo? No surprise here that I can't remember what he was talking about there!

Anyway, like DD I'm having a harder time finding the last two. As I'm typing this right over to my right is the shop now for the DVDs maybe I should head over there!

Have you seen Do Not Adjust Your Set? It's apparently a pre-Python program from 1968 with Terry Jones, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam. It's coming out this month on DVD so I have it in the Netflix Queue. I'd heard of it, but have never seen it.

STILL speaking of British comedy... Monty Python is hilarious... does anyone love Red Dwarf here as much as me? I used to watch it when I was eight or nine when PBS used to rerun BBC shows... then, just this year, my parents' friends lent us the first season on DVD! Our whole family loves Red Dwarf, so it was a great trip back for all of us. Now we have to find the rest of the seasons...

I loved seeing the guys on Regis and I would have missed their appearance on the WB morning show if someone hadn't told me about it the day before!lol

I would like to get Thom's DVD when I get a chance--if the outtakes are as funny as Carson's! I wish they would do something special like put the holiday eps on DVD--just in time for Christmas!

Still trying to figure out this message board and how it works. Any Kyanites want to drop me a line and help me out here?

They were on a WB morning show too? Aaagh, missed both of them!

It's too bad that these when they appear on these live morning shows there is little chance for a repeat. I know unfortunately having missed seeing Kyan wearing the shirt I sent him on the Today Show back in January!

Well, to give you the Reader's Digest version ...

- All threads are started by the Bravo Board Boss. Users cannot start their own threads.

- The thread titles are self-explanatory, but if you read the first post, it'll explain. Sometimes we stray off topic, but if you're in an episode thread and you start talking about something totally off-topic, it's good to take the discussion over to the "General Discussion" thread. (We're all guilty of violating this from time to time. )

- If you want to start a new topic within any of the threads, just hit "reply" to the last post of the thread, delete the subject line, and enter a new one.

- If you're responding directly to another post, it's a good idea to use the "quote" button on that post. That post will appear with your post. If it was a lengthy post, you can delete the other parts, just be sure to leave the [ quote ] [ /quote ] parts (spaces added purposely) Like I did on this post!

- To learn how to do the colors, lists, & other fancy stuff. Read through the FAQs - there is a link at the top of this board.

- As I already mentioned, private messaging is disabled here. Personally, I don't post my e-mail on public boards, but some folks do.

- The board is unmonitored, but the Bravo Board Bosses do keep an eye on things and will step in when there's trouble.

Most importantly, have fun.

That is such a great appearance, it's so great to see them appear all together....I'd like to ask everyone a question....if you could watch the video and answer a question for me.....

I sent Thom a silver chain bracelet for his birthday back in May....when you watch this video, (I know it is not real clear) but could you look at Thom's right wrist and tell me if it looks like there is a silver chain bracelet on it? It looks like it to me....but like I said, the video is not real clear, but I guess I can hope it is the bracelet I sent him....it does look like a silver chain bracelet....., anyway, thanks Naomi for the site!!!

Thom more than likely has more jewelry than a store...maybe all the wives should chip in and send him a ring.... he did look good in pearls-the Michael L. episode....all teasing aside...it was a very thoughtful gift which I'm sure Thom appericated...I couldn't tell either...and yes, thanks to Naomi...

Well just to let you know, I'm sure what he had on his wrist was what he had on his wrist in the Josh episode....I was watching the outtakes DVD and there is one part where he is talking to Josh in a furniture store, and he has an ID silver chain bracelet on...I'm sure that what he is wearing in the WB news video, oh well it wa nice to be excited for a moment......

I LOVE Red Dwarf - I got hooked years ago when our PBS station was showing a bunch of episodes in a row. I kept watching it just to hear Lister talk, and finally realized how hysterical it is.

Netflix has the DVDs up to Season 6, so we just got 3 and 4 should be in my mailbox today, oddly enough. I'm hoping they spit the other two seasons out as fast as they did these. They are all on video, though.

I always had wondered why THOM had not been featured in a recent issue of Interior Design magazine...
Check out the July 2005 issue, PAGE 248

Also, on page 220, "National Treasure"

I'm more of a Rimmer fan myself...

Hey, I bet you'll be glad to know that the "Red Dwarf movie" is scheduled to come out late this year or early 2006. Of course, they said the same thing in summer 2001. But it will have the original cast, so it's worth the wait... let's hope it comes out soon!

Well to respond to myself, I emailed Carson on the slim chance that he would answer me (BTW - I have emailed him a couple of times in the past and yes, he did answer me on occasion)

Anyway, I emailed him to ask him about the bracelet Thom had on in the WB video and below is his response;

"Yes he is wearing a silver bracelet and I am sure it must be the one you sent! Carson"

I AM glad to hear that! We were just discussing that very thing - what happened to the movie??? I, for one would love it if Kyan had a website of his own. I have had a heck of a time finding other fans of Kyan who are not only vocal but stay in touch with each other. I thought being a part of these boards would help me to achieve that but so far, that hasn't been the case. I am just "warming up" so I know it will take time to form connections with some of you here--if anything I can be patient!lol

Kyan should have someplace online where fans like me can voice their appreciation of who he is and what he does, and correspond with others who feel the same way.

I don't think it's a matter of modesty but rather that he really doesn't see it as a priority. I'm sure he is very flattered by the attention he receives but he sees it just as he's doing his job and doesn't really want to make that big a deal of it.

If anyone wants to see if my e-mail works, please drop me a line! I just increased the storage space in my mailbox so don't worry about overwhelming me!

Candy, there's no reason you can't start Kyan-related discussions here. There have been plenty. (If you haven't done so yet, read through all the old threads.) I'm not very chatty on e-mails, so I don't use it much. The best place to find this Kyanite is either here or at the carson board.

But, I think what you're looking for is a Kyan-dedicated section and this board is not set up that way. There used to be a good unofficial Kyan site called kyanfan.com that had a message board, but the owner decided to discontinue it.

I'll probably be censored for this, but the only other QE message board I know of that has individual Fab5er threads is through fanforum.com. (It's in the Current TV Shows section. No, I won't post the link here because that's kinda tacky.) I really hope you don't leave here, but that board may be what you're looking for.

I hope you don't leave Candy. I'm probably as big a Kyan fan as any on this board and we need all the Kyanites we can get!

I can't always get to a computer to post more but I'm still a major fan of the boys esp. the grooming guy!

Yes, I would like Kyan to have a web site too but the ultimate decision rests with him. We can just keep hoping I guess!

For fans of each of the guys I don't remember who started it they are: Fans of Jai are called Jai's Angels (I think because of Rent?) Ted Fans are called "Teddy Grahams". Carson fans are called "The CITS (for Carson in training) and the Kyan fans are called "Kyanites". And last but not least there are the "Thom Wives".

I liked Jai playing the role sassy too! I hope he has good luck in future acting roles.

Yup, Jai's Angels because Jai played the role of Angel on Broadway in RENT for a bit. He won't be in the movie though, they decided to stick to the original cast. Oh, well...

Hey can any body out there tell me how I can get in touch with the fab five? I sent an e-mail asking if I could get their e-mail address and no response from the PTB. Oh well if I was meant to talk to them it would've happened by now. Shaybo

I don't think that anyone would give out the Fab 5's personal e-mail, phone numbers or mailing addresses. Some of the Fab 5 do have fansites that you can write to(Car, THOM....)
You should e-mail Scout Products if you want to write or send them gifts
