Who is creating Ted's fansite? Some HTML expert friends?
tszuj-it
If you mean his official website, it's being created by his management company. I'm sure they've hired a professional web design company.

Is the creative emmy show on this weekend or the next? I'm hoping the next as work is being done to my apt. this weekend and I'd like to tape if the guys are gonna be there.

Is Carson doing the red carpet show for CBS before the actual airing of the Emmy's? Or is he doing it for some other entertainment channel?

I posted this over at Carson's board, sorry I didn't bring it over here too. The Creative Arts awards are being televised about a week after they happen.

Here's the FYI:

57th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Delayed Telecast, Saturday, September 17th @ 7:00 pm ET on E!

57th Annual Emmy Awards
Sunday September 18th
Live Telecast, Sunday, September 18th @ 8:00 pm on CBS.

Saw this posted over on Carson's site.

Thank you so much for the info KCee! My place is a mess right now so next weekend should be much better!

And also, we'll know by then if they won!! However, even if they don't win this year, watch it anyway. They also presented an award during that same Creative Arts broadcast.

That's right and didn't they look so nice last year! As for my apartment where's Mr. Filicia when I need him! Probably surrounded by the Thom wives that's where!

Mine too! Thom would come in and scream, "It's Harrible!".
In my quest to declutter my life, I'm making a mess of things. However, it's for some good causes as I'm sorting through things to donate to hurricane relief & such. But right now, everything's in the middle of the floor. LOL
kyansutra
I did some major decluttering of magazines yesterday. I have two older sisters who are neat freaks and I'm not. Oh well, every family has the different one. I'm trying to be better though.

This book sounds really good.

Article from Out.com

Love the cinnamon roll story. And, I would definitely watch any cooking show he may do.

In the Mood for Food

Queer Eye guy and food writer Ted Allen dishes on his upcoming, upbeat cookbook, The Food You Want to Eat: 100 Smart, Simple Recipes, his own cooking disasters, and his new spokesman role.

Yes, I would watch a cooking show with Ted too! Great interview and makes me wish even more that Ted was coming my way for a booksigning but doesn't look like it!

The boys were at the Creative Emmys, but they lost to Extreme Makeover: The Home Edition, oh well.

Can't say I'm suprised that EM won. I thought it had the best shot, even though I don't particularly care for it. Well, the guys will always be winners in our hearts!
design_daddy
On a local radio station, I heard Car's name mentioned, anyone know if he is co-hosting anything?

And **THE ONE** I saw on E!'s "GLAMOUR'S 50 DO's & DON'Ts...he was wearing a yellow bow tie and blue jackete-what event was this??? I only saw 3 seconds of THOM!!!!
It was great to see him on tv!!!

I really thought E.M. would get passed over since it had some bad press regarding legal issues involving family members and friends sueing each other over the house they were given on the show. And the cast of that show infuriates me.....they're reactions are so contrived and over the top! Am I the only person who would like to grab that freakin' megaphone out of Ty's hands and hide it from him?!?!? I'll admit to a bit of sour grapes....but come on! QE is a much better show....even if we just got to stare at Thom's hair for an hour!!!

That does sound like a great cookbook. And the cinnamon roll incident - that sounds like exactly the sort of thing that happens to me. Every time I cook. Along with my bad habit of not really reading a recipe properly ahead of time. I'll think I've read the whole thing and that I know exactly what I'm doing, then discover in the middle of it that I'm missing a vital ingredient, or I've just skipped a major step and the entire thing self-destructs.

And if he does a cooking show, I'm there. I rarely watch cooking shows, but I'll watch Ted's!

I totally agree. Personally, I think QE still has much more heart and sincerity than Extreme Makeover, and is much more entertaining. In my mind, QE was the winner, hands down. But Emmy voters are not regular TV viewers, they're snobs and I don't think they vote based on what's entertaining.
tomasulo
Just the fact that QE was able to drop the "....for the Straight Guy" from the title because the term Queer Eye had become part of the contemporary language made me hopeful that the judges would see the value of this show. It may have been about 5 gifted gay guys with very entertaining personalities way back at the beginning....but it has developed into so much more than that. We've been educated, we've laughed, we've cried.....the FF have made us proud of them and proud of ourselves for recognizing the quality of this show right from the beginning.

Ted's website (www.tedallen.net) says it's available in October, but doesn't have specifics. Amazon has it listed as due out October 11. It's $18.15 now, although I'm not sure if that means you have to pre-order to get it.

Why, yes, I have morphed into Ted's publicist! If only.

It sure has. And it's made me even more dissatisfied with everything else on TV.
kyansutra
This is one subject that has my sister and me divided. I like QE, she likes EM. Granted she has watched some QE episodes and hasn't said she doesn't like the show. But she isn't a regular watcher like me, she is of EM though. And like her I watched it but sorry, like the others have said the casts reaction and sorry not a fan of Ty.

But in my heart the Fab 5 are the winners of this catagory!

Suppose we won't know till the show airs if they presented anything.
cats4
Yea, Ty and that megaphone,I'd like to put a plug in one end....it would be worth anything to sit and stare at Thoms hair or any part of him...boy,do I need a QE fix..NOW!!!
cats4
Well said....we should put that in all the trade papers signed Fans of the FF-Thom wives on down...
cats4
The Fab 5 have set a very high standard they should be proud of...and few if any shows can touch them...professionally and personally...you guys don't need any awards.....you are winners in our hearts
cats4
I wonder if that is in the works...Ted having his own cooking show...Ted can certainly kick it up a notch....I also would watch Ted,he would bring a unique prospective to cooking.
design_daddy
Yeah, with the wide range of culinary magazines out there plus for those of us on the boards who get the FOOD channel....it would be great for the Ted and QE fans to see him. He's been featured on the Iron Chef show and another show segment w/ Bobby Flay...
I wonder why Ted has not been featured in one those culinary magazines-yet????
kyansutra
Does anybody know the exact date that Kyan is supposed to be on "Living With Fran"? I'm all ready to record!

Just a little tid-bit...Carson, Thom and Kyan were at the Dior and The Cinema Society Present "Proof" after party in New York City last night.....the pictures are on WireImages

Did anyone catch the Creative Emmy Awards last night? They kept showing shots of the guys in the audience. Then they had a close-up shot of Kyan wiping away a tear during Jerry Lewis award. Sigh! I'll take a softie over a big macho guy, but that's just me!

They still should of won!
tszuj-it
I think his episode has been postponed, or rather they've
changed the episode order, because Kyan's was supposed to be episode #2 and now there's a different ep listed as #2 on the WB site.

I did! They all looked great. Kyan looked so sweet. I always cry when Jerry sings that song at the end of the telethons too. The Thom wives will want to know that they focused on Thom laughing at least twice. And, did you see them all during the Jack LaLane piece? You could see Jai dance in place a little when Jack made everyone stand up so they could move around.

Speaking of him, I saw Jack LaLane (sorry if I'm spelling the last name wrong) at a health expo a couple of years ago. The man is amazing.

Yeah, seeing that sweetie pie laughing is always specacular!

Yes, that was Jai sitting behind Thom. I only saw Ted a couple of times. I believe he was sitting near Carson. And, yes, he had the scruffy look. Looks good on him too.

I don't know if(for the Car & QE fans) A& E BIOGRAPHY does rerun eppys or if you are able to buy the dvd of the eppy.

It looked like Thom was on the aisle for awhile but I think they changed seats at one point.....I'm not really sure because the shots of them were so random and so quick....dammit! When Extreme Makeover was announced as the winner (ugh) and the 5,000 camera hogs were cramming together on the stage, I think I caught a glimpse of Thom with his hand kind of over his mouth....probably thinking this evening had been a monumental waste of time (I was thinking the same thing). Also, did anyone else notice that instead of having their dates with them, it looked like there were young women sitting in the chairs between the guys but it didn't look like they knew each other (?).....I don't know why I picked up that vibe exactly except that at one point, I could read Thom's lips when he leaned over and said, "That's so funny" to the person next to him, but there wasn't any of the familiarity that we've come to associate with Thom. Am I making any sense?

Think they might have been seat-fillers? I know the Oscars makes a big deal out of having paying people to fill up the empty seats in the audience; maybe the Emmys does the same deal. Hollywood, you know.
