I have been trying to get my hair to look like Kyan's in this picture:

Watching QE has given me a newfound motivation. Can anyone help me out here? I'd be willing to go to a decent salon to get a good cut. I'm thinking of printing out that picture and showing them. What kinda product do you guys think Kyan uses to get his hair to look like that?

Take the picture with you - that's what I do with my hairstylist when I want a change. She's always pleased to get a photo so she doesn't have to guess, and I'd imagine most feel the same. I've gotten all my favorite haircuts by handing her a photo of one I love.

Hey everyone, how's in goin'? Lot's of folks where I live (hillbilly/republican land--gasp.) hate my "Queer Eye" t-shirt, so I wear it as much as I can. I think the guys are fab. Even my late mom liked 'em. They got me re-thinking my own looks, home decor. I may not be a flatlander, but the guys are making me think "snap" a whole lot more often.
Have they done anything to change anyone else's thoughts, out there?

I checked Bravo's schedule just now, and seems they've completely changed it since Tuesday. After this coming Tuesday's ep (Carlos F), they have only reruns listed until the end of February. Then there are THREE new episodes listed for Feb 28, then none till at least mid March (the schedule only goes up to March 11).

February is a major ratings period, referred to as Sweeps. (November is also.) It appears that they they missed a chance to air a new episode due (possibly) to the State of the Union address, and they'll miss 2 more weeks because networks don't tend to air new episodes opposite the Olympics ... so, if it's true that 3 new episodes will air in the last week of February, my guess is that they want to get them in during Sweeps.
However, that's just a guess.

Yay! And I just discovered Ted's THREE little Olympic-related videos yesterday. He talks about wine in one and gives quick lessons in making Risotto and Gorgonzola-stuffed dates in the other two. You can get to them via the front page, and I rarely go there so hadn't seen them. And it looks like you have to click on the wine one to get to where you have a choice of all three, oddly enough. Go watch! I mean, if you haven't already and I'm not the last one to find them!

Is anyone else getting a really annoying Opinion Market ad glising across the screen on this site? It comes up everytime I open a new page and it's really aggravating.
Thanks for the heads up about Ted's videos. Is anyone else having problems navigating through the videos on the main page? They keep scrolling and it's hard to click on the one you want, while I'm whining.

The only issue I saw with it was as you click to watch each video, when it loads it pops back to the top of the page. Just a quick scroll finds the video screen again, but it stays.

I could not agree more...in place of the FF on tues. nights, reality housewives of Orang County a gated community....just what we want. We all should be so lucky!! Bravo is on a self- distruction course. All they are doing is copying other shows, instead of being a cable network on the cutting edge with shows like Queer Eye that made them what they are they prefer to copy.... Why not give the fans what we want QUEER EYE!!! I guess they feel 4-5 episodes makes for a new season.

It seems to me that Bravo's programming has taken a nose-dive. Or that Queer Eye was just a fluke for them. I think they've fallen into that trap of throwing any rubbish out there and hope it appeals to the lowest common denominator - they seem to be turning into the Really Annoying Reality Show channel.
HOWEVER, I did just read that they're going to be showing Six Feet Under, so I give them LOTS of points for that. It almost makes up for how irate I am over the way they've tossed Queer Eye around lately.

Apparently this is what Bravo wants for everyone to forget about Queer Eye....4 episodes,we are lucky if any episodes are broadcast!!! Look how many YEARS the fans have asked for season 1 to be put on DVD WITHOUT any editing or outakes....Our requests and pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Bravo just wants to be one of the guys....

Also more and more teen tear jerkers rather than the more adult women's movies that were their forte. RATS!!!

I know I am a newbie here, and on the boards, but I am just browsing all the Bravo boards and found your comments interesting. I heard about Six Feet Under. Excellent show. I have seen them all. And we currently have it on Comcast On Demand. Love it. Hope they don't hack it to pieces with edits.
"Really Annoying Reality Show Channel" is hilarious! You can add "Rerun" to that. Oy, the reruns. Outrageous videos, viral videos, poker, fashion, chefs, housewives and hair stylists. An occasional "Actor's Studio" with an actual actor. Every single movie NBC owns--twice back to back. Then repeats of NBC shows that are probably jumping the shark. And No kidding about Project Runway. Marathons of marathons. Just call it "Project Bravo."
Just thought I would add that NBC (owned by GE) bought Bravo in 2002. So they kind of had their hands in the PR pie from the beginning. And they sliced up that pie into a thousand tiny pieces.
Hope they bring back QE soon! These housewives are kind of boring. I want to see the 24-year-old steal all the others' husbands. Hehe

I'm thinking it will be fall before they start showing Six Feet Under. Although we were watching BBC America tonight and weirdly they started showing a Six Feet Under commercial - since we haven't seen the last season yet (we're watching them on DVD, don't get HBO) and my husband doesn't know the Big Awful Thing that happens, although I managed to find out, so we cut it off REALLY fast because they were telling all the secrets of the last season. I think my point is that may have had something to do with Bravo showing it, although I don't know why BBC would be advertising for Bravo. Weird.
I imagine if Bravo hadn't been bought by NBC, Queer Eye probably wouldn't have turned into such a big hit - Bravo wouldn't have had the budget NBC had to spend on it. So that at least was a good thing. And I love that they show West Wing, which I never would have watched otherwise but turned into one of my favorite shows. But I do miss the Old Bravo that showed weird unusual movies and stuff like Twin Peaks. I guess you can't have EVERYTHING.

Guess it does not make any difference to Bravo nor NBC what the fans want...a new season in June???,what another 4 episodes and then more reruns until whenever?????????? I do not understand what they are up to,why not let the fans know or put it on the web site this indifference is beyond me.All we want is more Queer Eye not something here and there. I assume they are preparing us for life after QE for us it will be a very sad day...but if they want to keep better ratings than they have now and showing nonthing but copy-cat shows they need to come up with programs like QE. Thou there will NEVER be another QUEER EYE.........

I know they have always taken long long breaks between "seasons", but this one hasn't made any sense, what with the several episodes they had listed to air, and then didn't - and how many DID they show this last time? I can only think of maybe five. And I agree, I wish they'd at least mention on the website what their plans are. Maybe they don't have any.

Speaking of mini marathons....I believe this was discussed before....when/if Bravo comes out with QE DVD's I hope they plan on more than the 44 minutes that is shown of each episode??? I would not like to put out money (I sure the boxed sets will come at a cost) for 44 minutes. Did not one of the FF mention that they have between 60-80 hours of video tape??? for each episode...now we're talking!!!! My kind of DVD of the Fab Five.

When QE was in Vegas Thom had played in a QE poker game. Sadly Thom did not win. Susan Anton a novice had won for her charity. I wonder what charity Thom had played for and why none of the other FF joined in??? I wonder if this was taped and will it be on Brovos celebrity poker??? Not everyone who is on the show knows the game....Thom and Jai did play a very short game on past episodes....

I'am not a big fan of the makeover shows, but I have to say: I love QE, it is the best makeover show in the world! It's just so difrent and maybe that's why it is so good! I'm sure that it has helped many gay-guys to tell for their friends and families about their sexuality! Unfortunately I live in Finland and that's why I havent seen the latest episodes yet, but I will see them after two weeks. QE is very popular here, and that's why some idiots have invented to create a Finish Fab Five! And I really have to say this: The Finish Fab Five sucks!!! They've been trying to copy everything about the real Fab Five, including the lines! Fortunately the real QE is showed ten months in the year and the Finish version (called "Sillä Silmällä") is showed just two months in the year. But it's great that the show is popolar. I like it, 'cos it is fun, difrent (the idea is great and unic), it really helps some straight guys, and it shows for us that the gays are okay! It can be cool to be a gay-gay! And of course I have to say this: Kyan is the hottest guy in the world! I've been a big fan of the show since it started in Finland, of couse i'm so curios that have to watch the videoclips in the internet, but it really pisses me off that the episodes come to Finland so slowly! We've just seen the episode 149 (Steve B. in Texas)! So I have to wait a really long time until I'll see the latest episodes. I jus don't understand why, 'cos Conan's show comes to Finland aftre four days! So I can see the latest episodes of Conan but I have to wait half year if I wanna see the latest episode og QE! And by the way: I love Conan. And finally I'm sorry 'cos my English isn't very good...but maybe somebody is able to understand what I've written.

Welcome...your english is fine. Glad to hear we have another fan. It appears as if QE maybe ending here soon. What other conclusion can we come to? No new episodes, maybe 4 in June after that its anyones guess. Look at the boards no one responds like they use to. Why,no episodes...we will always love the FF........but keep on posting we love to hear from new fans of QE.

Wait, what? Why would you think the show is ending? They are just between seasons, like they always are at this time of year.
We know they've been shooting (for the upcoming season) almost every week since January.
We know they've been shooting in Las Vegas, with quite a bit of publicity, celebrity guests, photocalls, etc.
We know they're shooting a reunion special next month, to air as the 100th episode (74 episodes have aired to date).
We know a new season is starting in June, at the same time new seasons always start.
Even if they stopped filming tomorrow the show would continue to air for months. If and when it does stop it will be because the guys have left, not out of Bravo' doing.
Seriously, at the risk of being unpopular, I don't get all the doom and gloom. Bravo has not done anything different, with the exception of pulling those few 'lost' episodes, making the season end a few weeks before it usually does, and making the season a few episodes shorter (this past season had 19 eps plus clip shows, seasons 1 and 2 had 25 and 29). I'm sure there was a good reason they had to be pulled, as it was so sudden, and they did try to find an airspot for them before making the decision it was best to wait until the new season. QE has always kept to a consistent schedule: New seasons always start in June, air regularly till October, then there's a roughly 2 month hiatus, then the show resumes airing on a more sporadic basis from Dec-April, when the season ends. The 'lost' eps did throw a spanner in the works, but I'm sure there was a good reason and Bravo didn't want the schedule screwed with any more than we did, but one little scheduling snafu is no reason to ring the death bell. I'm sure in June there will be tons of publicity for the new season and new episodes every week, like always.
