Sounds like there will be plenty more episodes shown if they've filmed 100. Good. I still love the show!
Also, congrats to the Fab 5! Not many shows even reach the 100th episode nowadays!

Not meaning to reply to myself here, but I have some Kyan news to share for those in the Houston area.
He will be appearing at the Human Rights Campaign-Houston's annual dinner and receiving the HRC’s Humanitarian Award for his support of charitable organizations including HRC, American Foundation for AIDS Research and the B.CAUSE committee benefiting DIFFA.
George Takei (Mr. Sulu from Star Trek) will also be appearing.

Naomi, you did it again! In your own inimitable, articulate way, you made my day! Lately my heart has been sinking like the Titanic but you really perked me up.....and of course, you're right! Now that Bravo isn't airing QE reruns at the same rate they did when we all first got hooked, it's left us salivating for more. Let's just be glad their hiatus isn't as excruciatingly long as The Sopranos! And in the past year, QE has again been nominated for an Emmy and a GLAAD award. Although they didn't walk away with those honors this time around, being nominated is still a big deal in this town....I mean Hollywood, not the bump in the road town where I live...but you get the idea. We did seem to be falling into a bit of funk so big hugs to Naomi for the pep talk. I love you, girl!

I think it's the long weird lack of shows that's freaked everyone out, and Bravo not mentioning what happened with the "lost" episodes, or reassuring us poor sad loons that they WILL be back, it's NOT gone, and to quit panicking!!!
I was wondering about the 100th episode, so am glad to hear they've just aired 74. I didn't see how there could possibly be 100 yet - but hadn't tried counting.

Your post about QE was stated much better than mine....(same thought). Glad that Naomi keep us on track. For those of you who know TTB she called today...she is well... very busy with school which is getting alot harder than she thought. Between her school and teaching her daughter at home she does not get to bed until after midnight. She saw the photos of Thom with his shorter hair and lean built. TTB said how can she concentrate after looking at the photos of THOM!!She has a mid-term to study for tonight....isn't that how we all feel about Thom!

cats4: Thank you for the update on TTB! She was my first friend on this message board. I'll never forget when she and her daughter risked their lives to go to Cleveland on a bus in a blizzard to meet Thom! Then TTB risked her life again when she had to call me to tell me she'd forgotten to bring along my screenplay .....I knew right then that this lady was one of a kind. Courageous, strong, and honest! What's not to love? I miss her and I'm so glad to hear that she's still just as much a "Wife" as ever.....and you old-timers know what I'm talking about! I guess once Thom gets under your skin, there's no goin' back. I can still hear her and Deb's screams of delight over the phone when I told them that Thom had called me at work. Their sincere joy tripled my own excitement. If you talk to TTB, please pass along my love and good wishes for the health and happiness of her and her wonderful daughter.

Yeah, I agree the changes, and the lack of information, that is definitely not a good way to act.
Here's an article on the upcoming season. So definitely 16 episodes start next month. I guess that takes us up to the next hiatus? Also the Jesan ep will air then.
http://www.movieweb.com/tv/news/49/12449.phpI'm kind of curious about the show's airing history. I mean, part of it is that while the seasons generally air in a regular-ish schedule, it is a very odd schedule, with the seasons being bisected. I'm thinking that when the show began, they only filmed what, 12 episodes? Because they didn't anticipate it being a huge hit. Then when it was, they quickly put more episodes into production, but not quickly enough, so there was a significant gap (from Sept-mid Nov) between the original episodes, and the new episodes. And those new episodes seemed to mark a new season; everyone thought it was a new season, then the following summer they launched 'season two' with all this PR, so everyone was like, 'gee, guess last November wasn't a new season.' And they've stuck to that - showing the seaons in two parts with a hiatus in the middle - whether it's for consistency or so they can show new episodes over a longer period of time, without the guys having to work so hard, I don't know.
OK, so I have a couple of things:
1. I swear I'm not a big of a geek as this makes me look (I made it at the lab when I was supposed to be inputting enzyme experiment results into graphs); it's a little airings calender:
http://www.tszuj-it.com/cal.html2. Out of interest, I checked the airing history of a few other Bravo shows, which made me feel a bit better. I found most other Bravo shows seem to air an awful lot less (most of their shows air only like 12 or even 6 new episodes per year; with Queer Eye it's 20-30). I guess because QE is/was so popular, they wanted to run the show for a longer period of time - in essence to cram two seasons into each year - but they couldn't air so many episodes week in week out, because they just couldn't produce them that fast. So that's why they have a mid-season hiatus and other breaks and all that. It's just a theory, I don't know. It is a shame their popularity seems to be dropping (fewer board posts, etc.), but I'm hoping the new eps fire things up a bit.

Death be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor death, nor canst thou kill me,
From rest and sleep, which but thy picture be
Much pleasure, thou from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings and desperate men.
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell.
And poppy, or charms can make us sleep as well,
And better than thy stroke; why swellest thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And death shall be no more, death, thou shalt die.

I know this is silly, or maybe even ignorant, but you just never know, so here goes. My wife Sonya and I live in Atlanta. For several months I have been planning her 50th birthday surprise party. I have rented out the community pool, hired a great Atlanta band, caterers, bartenders, spent the last month trying to hunt down her old classmates on classmate web sites, old address books, the works, you name it I've tried everything to make this an unforgettable evening. Meantime, we are also about to do a huge makeover on our home, newly renovated basement, pool, landscaping, all of which are around and or for her birthday. Now Sonya is a huge fan of the show and all the members of the Fab 5, but to hear her say tonight to her girlfriend, if I could wish for anything for my Birthday it would be to have lunch with the Fab 5. I can't tell you how heartbroken I am to feel like all this planning will only fall short of what she really wants for her birthday. I would do anything in the world to make every wish she has come true and I realize there is not even a one in a million chance to ever give her the FAB 5 gift. That aside, no one ever said, I can't try. I'm sure everyone reading this post will say, THE NERVE! Ok, I agree, who do I think I am to even attempt such a request? Simple, I am her husband who worships the ground she walks on. She is and will always be the best of me. So what the heck, I'm playing the lotto, buying my ticket and praying. If any of or all of the FAB 5 would consider an invitation to her 50th here in Atlanta on 7/1, (yea I know a week away) or a lunch, a video message, a note, anything, you will have allowed someone to help make someone’s dream come true.
I know the likelihood of any of the guys even seeing or receiving this request is pretty slim, but thanks for considering it, even if it was only for a fleeting moment.

From The Plain Dealer
Here comes the bridegroom
There is no official date, 'cuz officially it can't happen, but THE wedding in New York is being planned. Kyan Douglas from Queer Eye wants to tie the knot with his longtime partner, political activist and publicist Greg Durham. My favorite nastily named gossip blogger said the best part is that Kyan's co-star Carson Kressley may officiate, as he's "an Internet ordained minister".

http://showbizandstyle.inq7.net/lifestyle/...rticle_id=11079Talked about how the guys have such great chemistry, even off-camera.
Kyan: We're all so different, we're very different but we get along so well.
Carson: And we're heavily medicated.
"We're not changing or making them over, we're bringing out the best in them. We sort of do that to ourselves all the time," said Carson, who says he heeded Kyan's advice on getting a haircut.
Talks about how the five of them each have their own advocacies and causes.
Carson: The great thing about being a celebrity is that if you're involved in a cause, people will listen.
Kyan: We don't do a lot of overly political things in our show but I think the chance to be openly gay and out on television is already something. I think this is probably a universal thing whether you're Filipino or not, when you're young and you're not sure of who you are, you're looking out there for anyone like you. I hope people get that from our show--that we're people who are out, who are being themselves. I think that's the real struggle for any person to identify who you are and to be true to that.
