Who knows! There was a big brouhaha a couple of months ago when Jai said their contracts weren't renewed and Bravo freaked out and said they had NOT been cancelled, they're still Bravo's darlings, etc etc etc - and that there will be new shows for 2007. The general consensus is that the new shows are actually episodes that have already been filmed, and after that there won't be any more. There's also a 100th Episode that we are wondering about in a previous thread.

Hi raindog...I think the 100th episode will be Mr Straight Guy....as we know Bravo still will not admit to the fact that QE has been cancelled....we fans knew that since last June. Due to contracts not being renewed. Whenever they start this season all the episodes will be taped. I feel sorry for new fans..the only way they can see the begining and end of Queer Eye is IF that is a very BIG IF they put all episodes on DVD....what will happen to this board who knows.....

Yes, the show filmed its last episode last summer. There are about 10 episodes that haven't been aired yet, and they'll air later this year, probably in early summer.
The recipes index is here, but not all of them are included:

I was sad to hear that QESG is over. Although I will watch the last taped shows this summer, it'll be sad to know that the Fab Five will be gone by then, and there'll be no more shows. I have always loved QE and so has my whole family. I think it's the best reality show. It has been joyful, uplifting and tons of fun. The Fab Five are wonderful - vibrant, witty, and caring. The New York Times once called them "the true angels of America." I will miss them very much. -- Clare Higgins

I can't get the Style Channel! Wahhhhhhh!!!!
However, Ted is also going to have a show about wine on PBS. I'm excited about that - I've been trying to improve my wine knowledge, so I'll quit buying wine based on the prettiness of the label. And I do get PBS.

Here in my area, we got really lucky and NBC is airing old eps of QE at 3pm weekdays. It's really random....you never know which season they are going to select from but I couldn't care less! After watching a repeat today a.m. on NBC-NY I decided to see how the die hard fans are taking the soon to be canceled QE for the SG. They have been quiet about the failure to renew the show. Poor Decision.
I feel Bravo took for granted their HIT and neglected to nurture.
Did the audience really leave or are they not the I'll-go-to-Bravo.com-to -find-out type, wondering "another repeat? Wait it's on Tuesday night, right? No... what... When does the new season start?!" I'm sure by cable's standard ratings (vs. broadcast) it's still considered a hit. AND all that product placement? As ad revenue continues to drop for networks QE is a benchmark for how a show can logically place product in a seamless way. If Bravo follows through with the cancellation... they have given up on a great show. I love Tom, Carson, et al but in my opinion they are the only two that could hold their own solo. We'll find out TOM!

Rant on precious...
Back in the hay-day of these boards, there was a great comraderie... but the constant bullying by trolls, the broken promises and unfair edits by the BravoBoardBoss, the lack of consistency in scheduling, and the network's mishandling of the show, made us feel like there were no words posted here that could ever get to our dear Gentlemen Five, or Network Mavens... so many just gave up and left the boards.
Many (like me) have written requests for continuation - with only silence in return.
Today I needed something that took me to Bed Bath and Beyond. I walked throught the store and caught myself asking, What would Thom do with this? What would Jay do with that? OH! That's like something Kyan used... There's a item Ted might put in the kitchen... There's Carson's wooden hangers...
I drove home crying.
I pray they all do well in their lives... but the BBB, Bravo and NBC simply don't care. Writing here would make no difference.
Peace, --De

I'm here.....and I got your snail mail but for whatever reason, I didn't have the gumption (um, Tomasulo....I don't think people use the word 'gumption' any more.....at least, not within bull pucky throwin' distance of the big city)....where was I?...oh yeah. I'm here, sweet De. I've been thru the proverbial wringer the past year. As if losing QE wasn't enough, my job of 19 years ended when the product manufactured by my employer was outsourced to China last summer. I took a Certified Nurse Assisant course after being laid off but, even though it was a valuable experience in many ways, I realized that my heart is really in animal care.....people? not so much. So I recently started working in a veterinary clinic and I'm loving it in spite of the 50% decrease in my income. I give meds and injections, feed and exercise dogs in extended care, pick up poop......yup, it's heaven. I make do by watching old reruns of QE and waiting for "Dress My Nest" to begin but Ghod knows, I miss my Thom more than words can say. Yeah...that's right....I said "my" Thom......don't mess with me....I'm a woman on the edge. Thom, Ted, Carson, Kyan and Jai showed me that I still had a heart and I was still capable of laughing and crying, all within a 1 hour episode. I met some of the finest people I've ever known here on this message board and we remain friends to this day. Several of the SG's and their significant others became part of my life....shout out to John Kilcooley.....still sexy at 66+. I received a recipe from Corinne (Mrs. Jeff T.), chatted with Roe (Mrs. Mark F.), laughted out loud at e-mails from Kevin Downey, I met Ted at a book signing in Beverly Hills, tried unsuccessfully to stalk the FF at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and....dare I mention it again?....received a phone call from Uber-Hot Thom. And I can't omit the tears that I shed after learning of the death of Jamie who will now forever be Jai's angel. QE changed my life....hell...it GAVE me a life that I thought I'd lost when my husband was killed. So, De, I guess it makes sense that it was easier for me to reply to you on this board. I do have an email address so you can contact me there if you want to. judytomasulo@yahoo.com
I've heard thru the grapevine that Thom is in the Los Angeles area at the moment filming his new show. My heart is all a-flutter just at the thought. So far he hasn't wandered up my driveway but you never know.....miracles do happen. I know 5 of them.

BTW - I'm on an alter Yahoo! identity these days as well. As you know - someone else had already snatched just plain old "depoetic" at Yahoo... so I have alterations.
I miss y'all something terrible. ...I had pretty much discontinued watching Bravo in totality - so I've missed any QE reruns of late. I just get ill watching their diluted QE series. (Have you noticed the reality programs are all derivatives of our 5 Gents's strengths?) Sigh.
I am sooo sorry about the reduction in pay - dearest JT - but I know how much you love animals, so I am pleased you are following your joy. How's your "little" girl?
I'm soooo sorry to hear about your job too KCee! I hope you find your bliss as well! It is difficult to start again (as I'm learning everyday.)
You all remember my move to Abilene - well last year I was in the hospital 8 times and had 3 surgeries. I have 3 more surgical procedures that I'm putting off, since they're not life threatening. My father has become ill with a non-curable illness, but God has been gracious and after 3 months of hard praying and Specialists both here and in Dallas - he's getting better.
It has become apparent that we are going to not be moving. ...So I'm having to start over again here. God will provide.
Funny, isn't it? We all came together thanks to the gifts of those who wanted to help others get a new lease on life - and here we faithful are... facing our own new beginnings just as the powers that be are bringing our inspiration's project to an end.
Deep sigh.
I will be e-mailing you dear TJ...

Greetings dear one.
I wish I could help you with videos - but sadly I can't. We all lobbied for the episodes to be put to DVD - but all they ever released were highlights. We wanted the WHOLE SHOW.
There may be others who can help you over at Carson's site.
The primary source for all this Queer Eye used to be a site called StraightGirlsEyeOnTheFab5.com
...But since the show's cancellation - the young woman who ran it has closed the site.
Now, many of the faithful still meet at Carson's website:
http://www.carsonkressley.com Just wait for the intro to finish - and then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Community" to sign up. We all come to his board with an appreciation for Carson - but many of us have other personal favorites. The main person to get to know over there is "Snooky" - she's quite the momma shepherdess for the board.
Thom's site doesn't have a message board.
http://www.thomfilicia.com Then there's
http://www.tedallen.net ...but no messageboards there either.
Jai doesn't really have his own site anymore... there used to be several I could refer you to - but they have all closed as well.
Same goes for Kyan, unfortunately.
The old guard of Bravo - like me - visit so rarely. But if you need to flag me - this brand new instant message feature will at least e-mail me and let me know to write you.
Take care, hon. Peace! --De

Hey Guys! My goodness gracious...such a long time since seeing your names all writing on the same thread. It's downright exciting!!! I had googled an item on "Dress My Nest" and it sent me here. What a treat!

De, that really made me giggle being called the "shepherdess" over at Carson's. Everybody's invited to Carson's village...come anytime, pull up a rocker and I'll give you a pillow for your back. We just managed to successfully vote Carson as the top On Air Stylist for TV.com!!! De, I'm so sorry to hear of your surgeries...you have certainly had more than the average.

The comments here from all of you about your employment woes, hit home with me as well. After having my position phased out the first part of '06, I've now been employed again for almost a year....and yes the comp just seems to continue to decrease. It's rather crazy...the more experience I have, the less I'm compensated. There is definitely something wrong with that.

I'm so excited about Carson's shows for the Fall: "How to Look Good Naked" on Lifetime, "Crowned, the Mother of all Pageants" and "Farmer Wants a Wife". The last two will show on CW, mid Fall Season. All are reality shows. Carson was on the Queen Mary 2 on Wednesday night for a fundraiser. Here's a look see <a href="http://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=18690 I miss the "Fabulous Five" SOOO much. Therefore, I absolutely adore "Dress My Nest" and I was delighted to hear Thom's been picked up for another season. W00-HOO!! I wish Thom's business site had a forum in which we could post comments.

Well, I'm just rattling on here...so sorry but I was excited to see all of you. Got to go post an article/interview with Thom over at Carson's. Great comments about QE. Go to www.carsonkressley.com, select Forum, select Queer Eye and then Click on the "Dress My Nest" thread. Come see us sometime! SNOOKY

Hi, Im just wondering if anyone on this board can help me. I saw an episode 2-3 years ago and they used a recipie for a Dutch Baby Pancake on the show. I went on the website then and got the recipie but have since lost it. I cant seem to find it again. I dont know what episode number it was but i know it was a xmas one and they also made these little ham and egg cups where u crack an egg into a piece o fham that is pushed into a muffin tin. thats all i remember. I dont even know if you can retreive an episode that old but im hoping to try. Does anyone remember that one or know where i can find it? Thanks

I REMEMBER THAT! It was the Moon Family Christmas episode. It's possible you could write Ted on his site or just google "Dutch Baby Pancake" recipe and see what pops up. Good luck...it looked delicious.

I live in Turkeye. You know... the country famous with Istanbul. Anyway. I watch the show everyday on cable TV. Well... we can only watch the old shows.. but that's ok.
Before I really thought that gay guys were wierd. At least those are the ones I came across. But after watching the show I completely changed my mind.
You know... the fab 5 have really became like family to me. Wierd to say that, isn't it? Normally a TV show is just a TV show... but somehow these guys have the ability to reach out beyond the TV screen. And the rappor between the 5 of them is unbelievable. At least that's what they make us feel... like one big family.
Kyan, Thom, Jai, Ted and Carson are inseperable. It's like if one is not there the whole show will go out of balance and that family feeling will be destroyed. Like today I watched a show where there were new guys. Only Ted and Carson was on the show. And they gave a feel like it was somekind of bussiness not family. I simply don't want to watch it if that ever happens again.
Anyway... Sometimes I would think to myself that it would be wonderful if we had the fab5 here in Turkeye... My Canadian husband certainly needs them! He really needs a helping hand! Oh well... Turkeye is just too far away.
Keep up the good job guys... though I know that you probably will never get to read the board.
Love ya all...
Let love and hope be your shelter...
Love,
Filiz
