The latest news is that the final season's been postponed till "sometime in the fall," but there is no fixed date yet and it keeps changing.
According to Lifetime, Variety-USA, Hollywood Reporter and numerous other sources, Carson will host the reality show, "How To Look Good Naked" on Lifetime, in January 2008.

Queer Eye was cancelled last year, unfortunately, they taped their last episode in June 2006. There are still 10 unaired episodes, which will air sometime this fall.
Incidentally, only the Bravo moderator can start a new thread; there is a thread for each episode (except some of the older ones), a general discussion thread, and this thread for all QE/Fab Five discussion.

It was cancelled because the Fab Five's contracts were ending, and they decided not to re-sign. Doing Queer Eye was a huge undertaking and was stopping them from pursuing other jobs or spending much time with their families and partners, so I don't blame them for wanting to quit. The ratings hadn't been that great, either. Bravo didn't really have a choice, unless they cast a new Fab Five.
Most of them are working on new shows now, so at least they are still on TV, even if it's not together. Ted's on 'Top Chef' and has a PBS wine show called 'Uncorked' airing next month; Jai's on 'Styleyes Miami' on SiTV and is recording an album; Thom's doing 'Dress My Nest' on the Style Network; and Carson has two reality shows, "Crowned" on CW and "How to Look Good Naked" on Lifetime, both premiering next January.

Thank you for the information on Fab Five. Glad to hear they are all working elsewhere where we can still see them. Especially looking forward to seeing Carson next January, but I love them all and have seen Ted on Top Chef. I wish them all well and although I do understand, I miss them working together.

Well, I think I have heard info on about what Thom, Jai, Carson, and Ted are doing...but not so much Kyan. lol
I am enjoying watching Ted on "Top Chef". I am not able to watch his PBS show "Uncorked", however it is out on DVD.
Would like to see all of QE's seasons on DVD....but it doesn't look good.

I've looked around the net and seen all the fansites shut down - one after another - and was deeply saddened to see even Carson's site drop its message boards... all those great old posts... gone...
And today - I'm flipping past Bravo, only to be completely stunned by seeing an ad for QE's return to the Bravo lineup October 2nd!
They say they have 10 final shows filmed (who knows how long ago...) and they will begin airing them October 2nd on Bravo!
Oh well... even if they're the last, it will be sweet to see the Gentlemen Five again.

I've been hearing for a couple of weeks that it would be back on Oct 2 but was afraid to believe it - now it's official, hooray!! I haven't seen the commericals. Has it been a YEAR since the last ones? It seems like about ten years.

Wasn't the Queer Eye pageant show filmed last summer? I vaguely remember them having a live audience. I really believe, that unlike other reality shows, if this series were on DVD,it would sell like HOTCAKES! It actually has a beginning, a middle and a happy end. lol

Wanted to do one for Kyan but the other person who agreed to help me bailed out and now she has moved on to where I can't even mention his name anymore. lol Kyan doesn't seem to have much of a fan base himself and I have felt that way since almost the beginning. With the exception of maybe 3 or 4 folks here. jmo

The pageant was filmed in June of last tear, which is a long time, wow. I don't even remember the last episodes to air. I've seen some of the upcoming ones and they're really good, especially one where they all swap jobs -- HILARIOUS!

firstly let me state how much i love your show! Being of an age with all of you (cept jai) I cant tell you how much it ment to me to finally see the gay community represented in such a positive manner. The campy and comedic roles that we are usually depicted as in movies, tv, and stage had gotten so old that methusula asked them out. The old guard still exists - even though all the wellsprings we used to play in have all dried up.

Yeah, there was SOME camaraderie...but who knows why that disappeared. I think those who left the boards, did it for different reasons. I wonder....is Bravo really TOTALLY to blame....?

Most of them are working on new shows now, so at least they are still on TV, even if it's not together. I'm happy for George and he looked 'radiant' in his crown, but my number one SG still is and probably always will be John K. Probably has something to do with age--we COULD date if he were willing to come to Colorado. So, til I find the right thread let this be my comment. And welcome back Fab Five, even if it's only for a short time.

Well... I wanted to comment on last night's romp - but - not surprisingly - the new BBB hasn't provided us with a thread to write specifically about the show.

I said y'all didn't care adn was told that YOU were different than the prior moderators.

It was WONDERFUL to see all the former Make Betters - I just wish the two Marks had made it - Mark Faries and the golfing teacher. I was not at all happy to see Alan C.... but that's just an old lemon from far far back in the original board posts...

I think this is the Board of Total Abandonment as far as the moderators are concerned. They didn't do much of a job during the last season, so I was afraid they'd completely ignore it now. It is a shame we can't start threads ourselves.
Are the other boards this neglected? I don't care for any of the other Bravo shows so don't check in on any of them.
And it was such fun seeing so many of the straight guys again - I kept trying to see families too and caught a glimpse of several wives and girlfriends in the audience, but am going to watch it more closely tonight.

Oh, it's OOOOOLLLLLLLLLDDDDD- I really think it was filmed last summer. I saw a clip on YouTube ages ago - I'm pretty sure it's been at least a year. I recall speculating about this time last year that SURELY they'd start showing the fourth season soon. Then I thought surely it would be after Christmas. It's certainly drug on.

I know - Jai's hair looked like it did after he got that tight cut before going back to do "RENT" on Broadway. Carson's was styled too high in the back... but I remember that cut from ages ago too...

I was happy to personally hear from a couple of fans who watched the show last night. I enjoyed the second show more than the first but it was SO good to see all of the guys again. Wasn't surprised that George K won....but I felt a little bad for John K...especially after the "Grooming competition". (lol) George K has a page on MySpace, btw.
