My guess about Kyan narrating is two things--I think he may have the best voice overall for that kind of thing. Thom's voice and diction are great in the show but not as smooth as a natural narrator. Carson's voice is (to me) a little nasal for narration. Ted or Jai could have done it when you consider voice quality alone.
Also, I think Kyan just oozes that interest in the people on the episode. All the others are interested and caring but Kyan just seems to have an extra something in that area. Then, I think I read here that Kyan may have done some kind of voice-over work in the past so that would mean he has experience.
It's funny, a negative about Kyan's voice--I was rewatching the Simon episode this weekend and found Kyan's voice really annoying in places. Very nasal and loud. Maybe it was the way he was miked--I don't know, but it was something I noticed for the first (and only) time.

Jai did the narration for the "Best of" show that aired right before the 1st episode of the 3rd season (Ray S.) and he did a really good job. So, perhaps they're just taking turns & Kyan's smooth voice was best suited for the Valentine's special.
Actually, Carson did a narration on another Bravo special, "The 'Christmas Special' Christmas Special", late last year. It was good.
I'll have to search around to see if there are any more theme episodes coming up.

JG, I know how you are feeling here are some tissues. I'm feeling a little bluer as it's getting closer to this weekend when I was supposed to see Kyan. I know QE is his main gig and I wouldn't know about him if it wasn't for the show. So I'm fine with that and if I don't get another chance to see him that's ok. I got to meet at least one of them and there are other people here who maybe won't get a chance to meet any of them so I should consider myself very lucky!
Okay I'm done, sorry for going on!

NAT: I did send a Valentine's Day gift to Thom...in fact, I sent two! I sent a pendant by Bico which is an Australian brand of jewelry popular with surfers out here. I also sent a silver locket keychain. It's engraved "Ghod is in the details" and when you open it, there's a photo of Paco on one side and a photo of me on the other side (if Thom decides to use the keychain, I'm sure he'll replace my photo.....but, hey, a girl can pretend, right?).

I was just wondering if Bravo invited the boys to fashion week, most specifically, Project Runway. After all, Project Runway is on Bravo too. Anyway, I was wondering because all the boys, except Thom, who was in New Orleans, showed up for Project Runway at fashion week.

YAAAY! I could run from my duty and access the net for a little bit earlier tonight! lol It's only 8:15 pm, and usually I only connect aroun midnight or so... So its a big step tonight! LOL
Oh, dd, you're right about the comments on the str8 guy's wives and g/f's, and usually Thommie, Kyan and Teddy do comments... There was an eppy when Jai, Kyan and Thommie were dancing and Teddy said "Play something masculine for us" (or something like that), and sometimes he really does comments here and there that makes me wonder and sigh over and over... lol Oh well... Daydreaming os so good!

On the QE book there's a lot of good recipies, and most of them Teddy makes on the show!!! I loved the QE book, what's your thought about it?!?

Yep, definatelly he looks thinner! I''ve noticed that a few eppys ago, but I guess I was the only one! LOL He surely has big shoulders, it's very gorgeous! His brother Jules also has big shoulders and I bet his other bro has it too! It's a family thing!
