Nice to see the FabFive decorating a lawyers house that he's lived in for two years! A gorgeous house with nothing in it?! Come on!
The last couple of episodes have completely sucked and the show has definitely shot its load. What happened to the premise of single straight guys? I won't be watching anymore.

Give Thom a blank canvas, and he is absolutely amazing! Thought he might have a field day with that empty house - was his most breathtaking work yet!
I know where Jai is coming from; his intentions were good, but still not sure about the Rosie O'Donnell/Boy George cameo, though.

Unbelievable!! He looked fantastic. But the house! I was waiting to see what Thom would do with it. I was just speechless; I think he outdid himself. Great episode!

Another great episode! The Fab 5 worked their magic and did their best to build up Richard's confidence, which we all know Richard will have to do for himself ultimately. But good for him for risking it all on (inter)national television! I love these guys more and more with each episode!

I think Richard's new "do" is great! Could you imagine having to hide under a toupee for 13 years?!? I wish him the best of luck and all the confidence in the world!

My wife and I totally enjoyed the first season. Learned a lot and laughed a lot. The straight guys were pathetic enough to be believable and the transformations were great, but the first 2 shows of this season have been let downs. Not because the Fab5 didn't do their job or crack some good jokes but the straight guys were obviously well off, nice areas of NJ, and didn't really need the help. They were so pathetic that it came off as B.S. Is this a trend to get the show on mainstream TV (NBC)? I hope not. Cheers Queers!

Excellent job in all respects. I like the fact that his wife was so very supportive and understanding of his position. What I didn't like, unfortunately, was how negative his mother was, and you can see that shell reflected in him. The Fab Five did a wonderful job, not that they've failed ever .

Richard looked RE-MARKABLE!! I didn't think the toupee looked that bad but bald men can be incredibly sexy and he wore his baldness well (thanks in part to Kyan who was so sweet). You can sense when he takes over even though he seems neurotic. I think he'll grow more in confidence now.
Carson was top-notch tonight, he looked great in the dark turtle neck and white pants. His hair has grown out some too. Overall, I think he looked his best tonight.
The house, I couldn't believe it was so bare!! After 2 years of living there? It was crazy! But of course my boy came through with a decorating job that could...not...be...touched! It was absolutely fabtastic! Oh, and whoever was talking about their mom's house with the cathedral ceilings needing painting...did you see? Darker walls, left the ceiling white - just in case you didn't catch it.
Ok, on a personal note - Thom was so H-O-T tonight! His clothes fit well to show the form of his body and his new hair style has grown in and laid out very well! It was great to see him and Ted playing with the kids too. I loved it when Thom had the son on his shoulders and they were running around. My FAVORITE part though was the hip tip at the end when Thom stepped out in a robe and then SLIPPED OUT of the robe! I nearly fell out of my chair! I've GOT to stay up for the encore episode!

I actually know Richard Miller. I worked in his lawfirm while I was in college, and my mother still works there. And I can honestly say, that Richard is one of the most wonderful people you will ever have the pleasure to meet. He's so genuine, and friendly...the type of person that you always feel comfortable around. And Shana...she's amazing, quite simply. I always knew how wonderful she was, but seeing tonights episode brought tears to my eyes.
Ive been looking forward to tonights episode for some time now. I saw the "after" Richard earlier this month, when I paid a visit to the firm. Needless to say, I was speechless when I saw him. It was astounding to see the change in him, and how happy he is with it. Mind blowing, really.
Tomorrow night, Im going to a gathering at his house, and I cant wait to see first hand the work of the fab five.
Thank you, guys. I know you know how wonderful he is...and what you did for him...it means so much to those of us who know him.
And Jai...I want to go to one of those Broadway shows, too.

Oh my God! I was so completely impressed with Thom tonight. He really did a phenomenal job with Richard's distressingly empty house. I absolutely loved the living room and the dining room...just, wow. And Kyan was so adorable, coaxing Richard to lose the toupee and all that. Ted had some wicked funny lines tonight, I was on the floor when he was like "That bed is an altar for SEX!" And Jai...oh my God, what I would do to meet an entire Broadway cast! (Not necessarily the cast of Taboo!, mind you, but a cast nonetheless lol.) I was jealous, though, lol I admit it. So yes, tonight's episode was a smashing success and I thought it was terrific!! Great job again, Fab Five!!

I NEED TO SAY THAT I WAS SO VERY IMPRESSED WITH RICHARDS NEW LOOK I FEEL HE LOOKS BETTER AND YOUNGER AFTER THE FAB 5 THEY ARE SO TERRIFIC. THE FIRST TIME THEY DID NOT HAVE TO EMPTY THE HOUSE IT WAS ALREADY EMPTY, LOL ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS YET. I ALSO LIKED THE POSITIVE REACTION OF ALL OF HIS FRIENDS AND HIS MOM PUT A LITTER DAMPER ON THE ARRIVAL BUT I FEEL RICHARD HANDLED HER VERY WELL AND PUT A POSITIVE SPIN ON THINGS. GOOD LUCK RICHARD AND LOVE YOUR NEW LOOK. HATS OFF TO THE FAB 5. LOL

This was a great episode, as usual.

Sorry, I posted my original message for the wrong straight guy. Here it is:
OMG! No, he didn't! Kyan appeared to be hitting on the bald guy. Kyan, please don't cheat on me again! LOL. Kyan looked even more handsome than ever in this episode. The football getup in the hip tips at the end was good fantasy material. Show more of him in his undies again, too. I am surprised that he recommended drug store skin products this time (Neutrogena). Lately, they've been going to these married yuppies with big houses. 2 years with no furniture? Whatever, it's probably in storage just for the show. No offense to anyone, but, they should make over some construction workers. They really need it.

Another fine transformation of man and house. The wonderful emotional support the Fab Five gave Richard stands in contrast to the cold response by Richard's mother.

I loved loved loved this episode. Richard looked so hot in his baldness. Kyan wasw a total SWEETHEART. Jai looks so good with his new longer hair style. Thom worked his usual magic. Ted seems to be really participating in the show more and he is hysterical. And Carson was shining. He was born to be a star! Great episode. A big releif from the last which I was not crazy about.

Actually, I thought that Richard M. looked a bit like Matthew Broderick with his rug. But the transformation was a real improvement.
Richard's wife could benefit from growing out her spiral perm and getting her hair cut, styled, and colored.

Definitely prefer the natural look. My husband started losing his hair in high school. For years, he did the infamous comb-over. Then, he finally decided to cut it close. Now, he shaves his head completely and he could not be happier.
Richard's confidence was clearly evident. His Mom was kind of a b****. But, his wife was amazing. She was so supportive. What I love about the show is how the Fab 5 really does a "make-better" not a make-over. They have an incredible ability to make choices that are true to the person.
Another great job!

Not so delish, Richard? Lol, come on now...the guy has had it hard enough with his mother - he really was cute when they trimmed it all down. And it really did bring out his dark eyes...it's a great contrast, bald heads and dark eyes.
On height, hmmm...well in the Butch/Brian makeover episode when Thom remade the bed off the floor and they wanted to test it, Jai said he is about the size of the average female and I'm guessing he's between 5'6" and 5'7".
Checking out the group photo where they are all standing equal together, I'd guess Ted and Carson at about 5'8" or 5'9" and Kyan and Thom at somewhere around 5'10". Note - I could be totally wrong. These are some pretty tall glasses of water! But then I'm only 5'2", everyone's tall to me, lol - it really would help if they came out with bios for the boys with more than their professional career stats in them. Soon I guess. Oh! And they weren't on late late night Leno last night so that leaves 3 nights left!
TTB - pumped on hotness encarnate (oh that robe!)

That episode just proved to me how hard Jai's job is. I have read over and over that people think "Jai doesn't really do anything," and Im sure he feels the pressure to sorta thwart that perception. You know he doesnt want to feel like he's not pulling his weight amongst the group. And he expressed his dilemma with coming up with something besides getting the SG tickets every time.
Meeting the cast of a broadway show is an experience that he can talk about, but it doesn't really cultivate culture. But what does? Culture is cultivated over time, and Jai only has a couple of days. I understand his struggle.

Oh yeah. Having a mother like that would make anyone needy and neurotic. However, he didn't seem to fall into the trap of marrying someone just like his mother. His wife seemed genuinely supportive and loving. I could never fulfill that role. I'd be like, "Knock it off. You look good, now shut it."

This episode made me so angry, I turned it off after Richard's haircut. It's very easy for the Fab 5 to say how much better Richard looks as a 36 year old bald man because all of them have full heads of hair. How would any of the Fab 5 feel if they were bald? Carson without his long blond hair and bald? Jai, still in his early 20s, bald? (Richard was bald at Jai's age!) Let Kian shave his head and see how he feels with his new look. Would they be so comfortable looking older than their age? Would they be so happy with the look of a bald head? Hair pieces, like nose jobs, are ways to even out the unfairness of nature. They should not be made fun of. Queer Eye has enough money to have gotten Richard a really good piece and shown him how to take care of it, cut his own hair to match, etc. That's an episode I would have watched until the closing titles.

OK, I'll admit to a tinge of jealousy on these last two episodes. First thought: "These guys obviously have money and don't need the Fab 5." Then I started thinking that it's not really about having money, this show is about 5 awesome gay men with impeccable tastes helping straight men who have none. It's not about money, I don't think.
Just my 2 cents.

The point of the visit was that Jai knew Richard wasn't comfortable receiving gifts and being in social situations with adults. So he took him to Taboo! (cause Richard loves Broadway shows) and had him accept a gift gracefully and meet a group of adults. I thought it was a great idea for Jai to do that to prep him for the dinner party. It's much harder to talk to complete strangers than it is to talk to people you know. Think of it as a type of "shock treatment" for Richard and his social shyness.

C'mon people. Let's five the Straight Guys a break, no matter what episode. Some people are comfortable in front of cameras and some people aren't. Richard seems like he's a very sweet, gentle person and he said he has a hard time socializing with adults. He may have been camera shy. I thought he was adorable.

What a FANTASTIC episode! Richard went through such a dramatic change and handled it so gracefully! I thought it was sweet how supportive his wife was, and quite rude how unsupportive his mother was! I think he looked great. Kind of like Moby or the lead singer of REM.

Wow. They took a nebbish with a hairpiece and turned him into Stanley Tucci (who happens to be one helluva sexy man).
But what WAS that bit with the Taboo cast, anyway? It seems to me there is nothing Rosie O'Donnell won't do to promote this show. I hear it's really awful, too.
When are they going to let these guys make over straight women?

I thought this was a great episode (although they do seem to be getting richer)because of the sensitivity shown, especially by Kyan to Richard. My gut sensed sincerity and I can see why some of the guys really bond with the Fab 5. Since it takes 3 days, I wonder how they keep them seperated from family in hotels, but it must be fun. In an interview they said they try to keep everything right down to the underwear the same for consistency. I'm a straight female, but I would adore to have them make me over. Oh well, maybe they'll have a change in the future...I can dream. : )

Don't think it has been lost on any of us how much that took for you to step up to the plate like that and throw caution to the wind....I dont even know you, and am SOOOO inspired by your courage and attitude.
Mostly what Im feeling though, is this:
Your "new look" isn't something for you to "get used to" and "get over"..quite the contrary. BABE....you look DAMN HOT!!...so modern and sexy! Walk proud and just SMILE...you are gorgeous!!

But a bad rug is like, eeeuwww!!!
If your guy is getting a bit thin on top - don't ever, ever, ever, let him do the "Perry Combover" thing with the remaining strands.
Close-clippered heads on older guys are a totally hot look. Believe me. Well, to this gay guy - close-clippered older guys have a totally hot look.
The Elton John "Your head as an arable resource" thing is expensive and sometimes the results look damned peculiar.

Ok, you're kidding right? Were we watching the same episode? The premise of the show was for Richard to "be himself". The toupee was a facade and it was feeding his neurosis. There is nothing at all wrong with bald men and I think Richard looked better that way as long as it was trimmed close to his head. Alot, and I mean ALOT, of young men wear that style and they look so dang fine that I just want to slap myself with a salami stick to bring me out of my staring. How would the guys feel if they were bald? I think they would accept it and make the best of it. There's more to life than a full head of hair, ask cancer chemotherapy victims...I'm sure your post would really boost their self-esteem about the baldness they experience.

Richard Miller, I hope you are reading this. Kyan was sooo right! You look absolutely amazing, and your mother is a sad, misguided woman. Believe in yourself and what everyone else is saying (especially the Fab 5--the unparalleled experts!). You are so hot, I foresee baby #4.
Carson--right on target as usually, and looking superb.
Thom--you are a design god. And that little robe drop made this straight woman's heart skip a beat. Nice feet!
Ted--I wish you lived in my house, but QE is the next best thing. I throw better parties thanks to you!
Jai--There are no words, you most of all I wish I could keep in my pocket. I'm horrible with names, but your tip from a previous episode on how to remember has been a lifesaver. And I've learned how to (almost!) enjoy circulating at parties.
Kyan--You should have been on the cover of PEOPLE. No one could have got Richard through this the way you did. You always have the right touch, and you gave Richard the reassurance he so desperately needed (did I mention that his mother is a sad, misguided woman? Some might say Bee-ach. But I won't). I'm glad that Richard has an incredible, loving, supportive woman in his life--his wife!
Richard--WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Never go back to the dark side. You were yummy before, but get the clue from the Fab 5. You are incredibly hot, incredibly sexy, and EXUDE power. You can tuck your shoes under my bed any time!!!

You sound exactly like a balding man who is bitter about it. Get over it. There is no such thing as a good hairpiece, just more expensive ones. Believe me, women know before they even touch. And eventually, they will, and then where will you be? I think a man who is confident and at peace with who he is (including his hair or lack of) will project confidence and success. And that, my bitter balding friend is where true attractiveness and sexual appeal lies!

It's amazing how 2 cents is often all you need when buying something because they never have change for a 100 dollar bill. You nailed it, Straight...it's not about the money, it's about the help. These guys had money, yes, but they had no clue where to start. And even though they had wives, a spouse is a special enhancement to one's life, not a caretaker (except in certain ocassions). A wife may help if she knows how but it's certainly not her job. It kills me that some people think it is. Not all women know where to start when it comes to that kind of makeover either. I think that the 2 cents you gave was the most valuable 2 cents yet presented.
