Post your thoughts about our straight musical composer, Warren and his transformation from the very minor leagues to the big leagues in the music theatre industry.

Thar's Warren L's thread! Thought my stigmatism were gettin' the best o' me!
I liked this episode, it wasn't one of the best but it also wasn't one of the worst. It was cute. Best things about it? My husband-of-a-million-wives being pushed around IKEA in the little cart by Ted and Warren - knocking stuff over and just causing general utter chaos, lol! And the ball cage, OMG, they looked like they were having so much fun! Carson was in true form too - when he was riding that scooter and ran into the wall, I was no good...omg, he had me laughing so hard!
Loved the hip tips - Thom brought out his little dog! It was soooo cute! They were dressed alike and everything! SO cuteness defined!
I will now turn it over to all the drooling Kyanites who no doubt had to be resuscitated(sp?) after last night's episode.
"CLEAR!"...*BWA-THUMP!*

I thought this was a really "fun" episode. The guy wasn't gross (besides the smelly sweater). The "GUYS" were very funny! I also thought Kyan's Hip Tip w/Carson in it was sooo funny. One thing that kinda bothered me about Warren was that every time one of the Guys was talking to him, it seemed like he was trying to either finish their thoughts for them or acted like he knew everything already. Hard to explain, but I know what I mean (Hee Hee). Thom...his Hip Tip was so cute. I thought that mighta been his "real life" dog. Guess I was right in thinking that. Anyways...all in all a good, fun and cute episode!

This was a pretty good episode! I cracked up when Warren had to bite his nails with the substance on it just to see what it tasted like! The part with the boys acting like little kids in the ball pit was hysterical!
Warren is adorable, definately not a 'fixer-upper' like some of the other guys who went drab to totally fab!

This episode was okay. It seemed to move along at breakneck speed - like I was watching the show on fast forward. I thought Warren did a great job at the reading. He had to be a nervous wreck!
The Hip Tips were hysterical!!!!

KYAN!!!!! OMG- I need to calm down and type this up. I tried to comment last night and for awhile this morning but could not see the topic of Warren. I must have been blinded by the light of Kyan on this episode. OK onward- another invisible cat peeing in an apartment! It must be an epidemic or something. Kinda bad about all the reeking this guy did, huh? Ky was pretty blown away that Warren didn't shower again. Maybe Warren melts? An absolutely amazing job by Thom yet again with the decorating. The man is truly gifted. (Don't imagine I will get much argument here with that statement!) Good food lesson by Ted and too bad a lot of it got trashed in the doorway. Jai as cute and talented as always. Love that smile. Carson always cool and funny. He may need some conditioner though? Time to go and dwell a bit more on the hot rocks........

Yes this was a great episode! It restored my once lost faith in QE over the Ralph S. ending to the show. I loved when Jai made up that song and sang in the begenning! And so many great one liners.

This wasn't my favorite episode, but not bad. Others were funnier. That massuesse/massuer (sp?) massaging Kyan was lucky. The grossest thing besides Warren's BO was all the moldy food and mouse turds. Jai was the one who I thought helped the most, but like leymas said here, I too was wondering how it ended for Warren.

It was a cute episode, not the best, but they're all good. The only problem I had with "stinky" was him not BATHING! HELLO!? Can you say bath? New clothes on top of sweat? Grrrross.

My goodness they gave out that recipe for the dip in a real hurry. I've browsed around the Bravo site and didn't find it. Okay, so I'm a bit tied up with recipes and I happen to have a dvr. so, being patient and with the remote in hand, here's the recipe--assuming that this will get posted...
Curry Vegetable Dip
4 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1-2 tablespoons mayonaise
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon curry
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon tumeric
1/3 cup chopped celery
scallions (no mention of how much--I'd guess 2-4 tablespoons)
mix all this up. oila! dip.

I think somebody's listening to us... First, more mega-cuteness with Thom and Ted hamming it up in Ikea (the cart thing and the ball pit, so adorable!). Then, more shirtless Kyan. Ask and ye shall receive?
And hey, does anyone know for sure if that was Paco or just a stand-in dog? (Or why Thom would have red plaid underwear? )

This episode was actually "eh". You obviously missed last week's episode with Kevin Downey, Jr, "King of the Slobs"!!!! Now THAT one would have restored your faith so much more than this Warren character....is it just me, or was there something "off" about Warren? A bit prissy maybe? Can't really find the right word....

Oh Lord, honey, I feel you: I really thought I had died & gone to heaven during that little "stone massage" thing. And when he's laying on the table for his end hip tip: I'm usually not into hairy men, but I think I've been converted. My punk rock roots are sort of like "they're exploiting him, they're exploiting him", but - I really don't care! I'm still drooling over myself......
Yeah: this episode was all right. Not bad, but I do think it went by pretty fast. I don't feel like we got to know Warren like we have the other straight guys. And he did see a little...pompous may be too strong, but Warren gave off this aura like he felt like he was an "equal" rather than in dire need of some advice. I will say, "Up in the Air" sounds pretty good - I hope he gets some backers soon.
Speaking of music, Jai has an AMAZING voice: I haven't heard anything from "Zanna, Don't" & I figured he was pretty good, but that little improv thing he did to the music & some of those notes he was hitting without straining himself at ALL - I'm completely amazed & flabbergasted by his voice.
I loved that Thom & Ted got to take Warren out initially: it seems to me that those two always get the shaft on the fun stuff. So, it was great to see them running around in the cart & playing in the ball pit, etc.
And Paco is ADORABLE!! He looked so cute in that little red plaid dog-shirt-thingymabob (sorry, don't know what those things are actually called...)

This was a pretty cute episode. I really liked it for Jai, because it seemed like he was really in his prime with all the broadway stuff. A while ago I saw him in Rent out in New York and he was AMAZING. I didn't really know who he was at the time or I most likely would have flipped out being so close to him. I kind of liked Warren's idea though with bringing the audience in. It seemed fun, especially for a smaller theater in NYC, nothing too big.
I cracked up when Carson ate the hard moldy cheese, that was a little nausiating.
Thom did a great job with the apartment.
Did anyone else think Warren's roommate looked like Snoopy? Hum... maybe it was just me.
I was sort of suprised they didn't do anything with his hair at all. I guess it wasn't really bad or anything, but they didn't even touch it.
And last but not least, the whole not showering thing freaked me out. Ok can you say "Eww?"

I stand corrected...I think. See, on the Ralph Sutton board, someone inquired about a tatoo on Kyan in the bikram yoga scene and I thought it was actually a flaw. Now I'm not so sure. I taped this episode and when I watched it again, I got a closer look at it when he got up from the massage table to turn over. I paused it there and it's like a charcoal color. Flaws can be that color, but not commonly. If it's a tattoo, it must be faded or something, because it doesn't look too distinct. I tried to make it out, but the only thing I can think of it resembling is some goofy eye design.
Maybe I should take up a career in dermatology:
Me: "Mr. Douglas, I need to examine that pigmented lesion on your chest. Please remove all your clothing from the waist down."
Nurse, taking me aside: "Doc, don't you mean from the waist up?
Me: "Oopsie, hee-hee! Silly me!"
Or, we can solve the Kyan Chest-Mark Mystery once and for all by all convening at a warm spot to hold a pool party in which the Fab 5 are URGED to attend, and we can see them all up close and in person in just their swimwear.>>SPLASH<<

well I thought that this episode was just okay. There wasn't such a big physical transformation, but it wasn't a bad one to watch. What I didn't like about Warren was that he tried a little too hard to be funny like the Fab boys. Sorry it's not gonna work.

We Kyan fans can't help but pick up on his sex appeal, which as we know, is about not only great looks (which of course he has lots of), but confidence as well. I appreciate that he's got the guts to get down to his underwear on TV. And on that same token, he's not too proud or worried about being exploited to do it either.

I think the man smell issue should have been turned into a basic lesson on hygiene - I think Ky should have dealt with this. While totally gross, it was not a surprise to me when Warren failed to shower! They should have ganged up on Warren and thrown him in the shower during the episode.
And I have to agree with everyone - the hot rocks?! those were definitely hot rocks!

Aside from the usual wondrous transformational magic worked by the Fab Five, this was a rather "[expletive deleted] hum" episode in that Warren was yet another entertainment-industry person a la the previous two episodes, living in a (yet another) middle-class NYC apartment that needed a serious housecleaning. The straight guy seemed so "formula" -- who's picking them these days?
I'm sure that "QE" gets a LOT of publicity-seeking guys living in the city applying to the show, but I think the mail bag really needs to be dug into a little bit deeper in the future. Give us another suburbanite, or another man who works with his hands for a living! Give us someone who smells bad because he's been sweatin' at work all day, not just because he doesn't bathe or wash his clothes! I'm glad Warren got his fifteen minutes of fame and a zillion professional contacts, but let's move things along, people! MIX IT UP!

Hi guys! First post here, although I've been an occasional lurker - my usual boards seem to have died. I suffer from a severe Queer Eye addiction.
I have to say, though, this one wasn't my favorite. It kind of paled beside the Kevin "dude, your house is a dump and you live like a crazy person" Downey Jr episode. I didn't think Warren was very interesting, really. He didn't seem to have much personality and I didn't get the impression that the guys were all that taken with him either. To me the musical theatre just wasn't enough of a draw to warrent his makeover.
And, honestly, if you were carrying plates of crackers and expensive cheese and fancily chopped veggies and dip from your apartment to somewhere else outside of your apartment, wouldn't you cover them in a lot of Saran wrap? At the very least?? If not baggie them all up separately and then arrange them at the event? That REALLY bothered me, somehow. When he dropped the crackers everywhere, I was just, like, DUH, Warren!!!
But that all said, I'm sure I'll still be compelled to watch it forty times.

How far in advance are the QEFTSG shows taped? The Playbill article says "Warren Loy told Playbill On-Line he and Todd are aiming to present Up in the Air in another public reading later in 2003." I wonder if Jai brought this about for Warren's episode.

Just saw this last night. I couldn't really relate to the "straight guy", but it didn't matter! All I can say is CHEST HAIR! Kyan (the handsome) thrilled me with his delectable chest. I've never understood the whole male chest waxing bit. (that commercial I see *all the time* with the slender sinewy exercise guy with a shiny bald chest gives me the creeps!) One of my fave things to do with a man is bury my nose in his warm, fluffy, fragrant (shower clean, very slightly scented from the soap) chest hair. Another reason why Warren should have showered! My Armenian grandmother would have proclaimed him a "Kurdink", (I have no idea how it's spelled, but that's what it sounded like) otherwise known as a person who smells sour with sweat. Ick!
I spotted Ky's "spot" tatoo also. Wonder what it is?

GRRRRRORWLLL! =^.^=
Glad to know I'm not the only one into chest hair. I've read polls in women's magazines that show an overwhelming majority of women prefering hairless chests on men. Most male models chests are defuzzed, too. I think it looks adolescent. Please, straight guys, wax only the back. If chest hair is too grisly, a little gentle manscaping via trimmer appliance should suffice. When I see a man's chest hair peeking out of his collar, I get dirty thoughts indeed. But especially on our fantasy boy Kyan! When his neck and ears were being massaged, it seemed like I could almost feel the softness of that skin and almost smell his skin's fresh essence. *sigh*
*Ky, why are you looking at my penis?*
