Kathy - We love you! I recorded "Kathy is not NK" on my Tivo and I watch it every morning so I can begin my day with a smile. You are hilarious! Love the new series too. You are a bright spot in an otherwise boring summer TV lineup. We wish you and Matt all the best (he's a cutie, and so glad he forewent the GBS)and can't wait to see you at the Black Tie here in Houston.

I think Kathy is a funny girl...I work in the Fashion Industry and let me tell you celebrities always get a ton of free stuff it's ridiculous and alot of them borrow clothing and never return it the most famous ones i won't mention any names...I think Kathy should just buy her own damn couch we all have to buy our home furnishings and clothing ...these people make a s*it load of money and they want stuff for free no less oh please...And whoever did her plastic surgery her brow lift is extremely obvious..

I love Kat! She's the funniest person smearing her way up (or down) the Hollywood ladder. I like the fact that she so conveniently blurs the line between her own fan-self and her celebrity status. She's her own mockery which is so endearing. She can laugh at the absurdity of the hollywood lifestyle. At the same time, she's scrambling to "achieve" that very ideal she finds ridiculous. She really should have her own talk show. It's a much better outlet for her talent. She's top of my D-List!

I have always watched Kathy any time I can. I have always loved her comedy because she uses things that we want to say but dont have the balls to say it out loud. Well most of us, most the time I do and find myself to get laughs or offending everyone. She is just amazing. Her show is excellent. I really admire her marriage. Matt and she look like they really love each other, which is so rare. Im so happy for both of you. And your parents, OMG sooo freakin funny. I love you Kathy, keep it up. You now help my week go by so much faster. Reruns are even funny. You are not on the D list to me, even my mom thinks you are f'in funny. If you ever do a show in Houston I'll be there. Good Luck with everything.

You know, I started watching because I heard that she used to date Sean O'Donnell (hockey player) and I wanted to see what she was like, but from her first special I found her hilarious. Her second special I found kind of mean though. She's surely a hard worker and I think she's probably got a good heart, I just hope she stops making fun of people who don't ask for it. The self-indulgent and self-deluded people of the world should give her plenty of material to work with. She shouldn't be able to retire with grist like that.
Btw, anybody know if she really used to date Sean? I think he's SO hot, but Kathy supposedly has a taste for bad men. Maybe Sean's not all that?

Kathy is so talented and underestimated. She finally got her own show and will certainly have to change the name after this since she will be joining the A List soon! She's amazing live and the first episode didn't disappoint me!

Ummm, she had a Lasik surgey that was a butcher job that has afeected her eye brow, and even after that , with brusies and 19 stitches down the side of her face she kept her concert dates and was as funny as ever. Now she warns people about the potentail dangers of the surgery. So many people are so quick to judge around here and so misinformed, its really kind of sad. We're lucky in that both of our parents are funny people - each in their own way. Our mom comes from a huge family -- her mother gave birth 16 times! (although some of her siblings died young) -- and she has a quick laugh and a very lovable sense of humor. Our dad has always been known among friends and family for his quick wit and sharp satirical sense of humor.
With five kids in our family, growing up in our house in the Chicago area was sometimes chaotic but fun. Dinner conversations were always very lively and animated among all of us -- politics and current events were common topics. And family parties with our cousins on both sides brought the level of energy significantly higher. Basically, if you wanted to be heard, you had to be willing to shout over somebody else -- be it to tell a joke or a story, or to express your view on politics or some other current event or cultural issue.
Kathy was certainly very expressive as a kid and always had a flair for the dramatic in almost everything she did. She developed a varied and eclectic group of friends through high school -- from the theater kids to the 'eggheads' who went on to top schools, among others. She used to memorize entire short stories -- the kinds of sappy things that teenage girls eat up -- and then make the rest of us listen to her reenact the entire thing. She also used to be a very good singer (although as an older brother, at the time I was probably less than supportive of her since she used to practice around the house constantly and I wasn't especially tolerant of that). Later on she developed nodules on her vocal cords and had to have them removed, which ended any realy chance of a singing career.
I think she probably realized early on that being an actress or performer of some kind was her calling. She has always loved being in some kind of show - be it a high school play, a sketch comedy revue at the Groundlings Theater in L.A., Suddenly Susan, or standup. Her specialty has always been telling stories, and that's what really sets her apart as a comic.

Kathy mention she will have this surgery again,she lost 30-35% of her eyesight, because of this Dr.
I agree with you {ThomWilliams} people are quick to judge,its sad.
I really enjoy her show because she is the only person that have the guts to speak up about how the actors really act.
If people would give me free stuff I would take it. jmo: I don't think it's really free....the actors/actresses is a free "Billboard" for that product.

I like Ms. Griffin's comedy, but I have to say I've found her persona on this show to be rather unpleasant. I suppose because I don't get things for free or expect that I should, don't make my parents and/or in-laws work at parties, and don't live in Hollywood, there's some nuances of this life that are quite beyond my comprehension. How, for example, if one is "D" List, does one expect a custom made sofa for "free" or heavily discounted? Moreover, if one is "D" List, how does a D-Lister afford that house?
Not that I expect "reality" shows to be "real", but I've got to say that the act surpasses the person by a mile. I thought I'd want to meet Ms. Griffin; I'm glad I haven't.

Kathy, you would fit right in with my group. We've never accepted the A-listers, definitely don't take life too seriously, and have never had to get over ourselves. You remind me that where I'm at is just where I should be. You're the coolest chick!! Thanks for making my sides split! (This almost literally happened after some recent surgery!)

Star was fired?! I cannot stand that woman at all, and the fact she doesn't like Kathy makes me dislike her even more, since I adore Kathy. Personally, I thought Star did a terrible job on the red carpet for the Oscars- she was awkward and stiff and not funny at all. Does anyone ever notice that on The View, when Star isn't speaking, she has one heck of a dirty look on her face? I have tried to read her face when she does this- I wonder what she is thinking, but it sure LOOKS like she is thinking pretty mean or unhappy thoughts. Also, her voice is soooo grating and annoying- yuck!! I wish she would get fired from The View- I don't really watch the show much anymore.

I am completely upset at Jay Leno and his mean jokes towards Kathy; I think she hit it right on the spot when she said that she isn't a guy; those jokes offended me too....and worst of all I think Kathy is very pretty. Jay has obviously no taste in women and doesn't know what ugly is, which is HIM. Kathy don't worry he is constantly getting his shots; everyone in my house compares him to a horse....LOVE THE SHOW and I think kathy is extremely talented and one of those underestimated; unappreciated great comedians. avoid the cliche shows though.

I totally agree that Jay is a total idiot! I can't believe that his wife or mother never told him to NEVER tease a girl about her looks, and being a comedian is a pretty weak excuse for such a low blow. Kathy makes jokes about people's behaviors and/or her experiences with them. In my humble opinion, that's a little different than an obvious low blow like purposely making fun of someone's looks, their spouse, or their kids! My feeling that Jay is a jerk has yet again been reinforced. Thank goodness she also has a great husband who supports her no matter what. Even if he did sell more DVDs than she did. Kathy, call me, we'll dish and drink a ton of Diet Coke together! It's a great way to destress and not be hung-over in the morning!

I adore Kathy's comedy and was surprised to find her so easily hurt by Jay Leno's comment. She has so much love around her and is so pretty (and should be able to see it in the mirror) that she should have just said something like, "...yeah, not a good day for Carmen, huh?" or "...I like to let those I advise feel better for one day...". She has such a quick wit and should never let anyone get the best of her. Kathy, stand up to all of them 'cause you have a great sense of humor and none of us is above any satirical sarcasim, critizism or "Alledgely" truth telling.

I have to be her 6th biggest fan, behind Matt, Mom & Dad Griffin and her "2 Main Gays"! Her show is the "BEST" reality show to date on Bravo or elsewhere. I am cracking up from beginning to end. I am also ready to offer Mrs. Griffin my professional services for FREE! wohoo. Since she always request everything for free being on the "D" list. I think she needs a "D" list Body Guard or P.I. for protection and security. Been looking all over the internet for legitmate e-mail and message board that she frequents. Anyone have a good contact/fan e-mail address for her? Also, Jay Leno needs to retire already. Make room for Conan O'Brien. I'm sure he knows how to treat a lady. Or forget that altogether and give Kathy a talk show to bang heads with Ellen or Oprah! that would be a riot. I could see it now, her whole show would be Live with her watching Oprah and Ellen at the same time ripping them and their guests throught her hour. She woulnd't even need any guest appearances, she could just use their's. Anyways so much for dreaming. Keep it up Kathy, we love the blunt, ackward, moments you so readily and naturally provide!

Just watched the latest episode of "D list" . I knew this show was going to be my new fav, since Kathy IS my favorite female comedian. She makes my friends and I laugh until our cheeks hurt! (literally) how dare Jay take a cheap shot at such a talented, sharp, freaking hilarious, and very cute lady like Kathy! Her and her hubby are a perfect match, he is so witty and laid back. She is so full of energy and has a true gift of making people laugh. Kathy you totally ROCK!
If you come to St.Louis~ you would be sold out for sure..and sellin' them dvd's like hotcakes at your show!

Love it! The part in episode 2 where she describes the type of food she eats and the zoom in on Kathy eating the ravioli at Cosco..hysterical! The goofy people who thinks she's mean are not funny and just don't get it. Ironic that Jay "Chino"..I mean Leno makes her feel bad about how she looks. I Tivo every episode and watch it over and over again!

While I have always thought Kathy was very funny, I was a little appalled during the most recent epsisode where she asked the marines from toys for tots to show people where the rest rooms were, and was then annoyed when they were suprised!!! And she then chastised them for mingling as if they had no right to!!!! Kathy honey, those brave men are the reason you are able to have your own reality show in a "free" world. They are soldiers, not your hired help. A little respect for the military please!!!!

OMG...Love Kathy!!!Pretty freaking angry that the man who has a chin the size of the ass end of my Impala has the freaking nerve to say the ugly $hit he did to her and make her cry.. He is NOT funny, was the WORST IDEA OF A REPLACEMENT FOR CARSON and I could go on for ever. I think it takes a great deal of class for her to keep her photo with him posted on her website. She is hilarious refreshing and honest, and great change from the pompus blowholes in Hollywood who could care less about their fans. I wish I could kick the hell out of Leno. Kathy, you are NOT ugly !! Don't listen to Mr. DickieDo....( you know his belly sticks out farther than his dickie do..)He sucks, you don't.

I can't believe Jay Leno would be so mean! It's one thing to attack a person's behavior, but a physical characteristic is appalling! Kathy is correct, he would never do that to a man!
Matt is so cute! It's nice to see a "celebrity" couple that is in love and in a supportive marriage.
It is so much fun to see someone make fun of celebrities, instead of just fawning over them. I mean, how many gift baskets do these people need?

I have had that experience before when I was so unexpectedly hurt really badly by someone's words that I couldn't keep the tears away- and it is SUCH an awful awful feeling, I could empathize with what Kathy was going through. Sometimes certain topics just get you more than others, and no one likes to be criticized about the way they look. I have always found Leno to be a mean guy, not very funny, and really has hostility in his humor-he also seems really uncomfortable with his guests- I don't hardly ever watch him unless he has a guest I have to see. I am SO HAPPY that Kathy has this TV show to go PUBLIC with Leno's treatment- is he really this lacking in manners????????

Hi! I read your post and just wanted to clear up something for you, I just spent 11 years in the Marine Corps, when we go out as representatives for Toys for Tots, we are basically a "working party" for the function. They were supposed to be "working" collecting toys serving as "Marine Corps PR" not mingling with the guests. It wasn't that they had no right, that was just not what they were supposed to be doing. When Marines are present at those kind of events, usually it is a support request not a party invitation. My husband and I both have pulled our share of such events and we were actually a bit disappointed that those Marines weren't "locked and cocked" and representing the Corps as they should have been. But many thanks for the respect for service members, we all appreciate that. One more thing, please just chalk it up to Marine Corps pride...a Soldier is in the Army not the Soldiers, an Airman is in the Airforce, not the Airmans, a Salior is the Navy not the Sailors, but A Marine is in the Marine Corps, we are Marines (no offence to soldiers but we're a bit arrogant, you know; The Few The Proud? smile)So please don't be too angry, they were SUPPOSED to be working...

Kathy was on the show and they were showing pictures of her with other celebrities. One picture was a close-up of Kathy and another female celebrity (I forget who), and Jay joked that it was like looking at a before and after picture. He came up after the show and apologized, though.
I know some people will say, "Well, she can dish it. Why can't she take it?" I think she can and does joke about herself. Jay's comment, meant as a joke, just hit a tender spot.

We're a small group of chicks 30 something, and we have this inner circle, of us four...well we all rolled over and one fell out (to Arizona) so now we have an opening in our inner circle AKA circle of trust. My friend Jen and I were talking about how we'd so hang out with you. So if you need a fan club advisor(s), Theres a small group of Chicas up in Washington who think you're just Fab.
