Ok, Jamelia's song "Superstar" just completely rocks me!! If you haven't heard it, then find a friend who has it!!
*in fast-talking dj voice*
"And now, a dedication going out to Thom Filicia from his evah-lovin' teddybear, ThomsTeddyBear! You've heard it, you've loved it...now everyone's askin', "What's that sound?" It's Jamelia with "Superstar"...on the one and only Thomafied station W.T.H.O.M. where The Hottest Of Males resides..."
*Grabs imaginary Thom and drags him to the dance floo..uh, living room floor*
People always talk about
(heh oh heh oh heh oh)
all the things they're all about
(heh oh heh oh heh oh)
write it on a piece of paper
got a feeling i'll see you later
[Bridge 1]
there's something about this let's keep it moving
and if it's good let's just get something cooking
coz i really wanna rock with you
i'm feeling some connection to the things you do
(you do you do)
[Chorus]
I don't know what it is
that makes me feel like this
I don't know who you are
but you must be some kind of superstar
coz you got all eyes on you no matter where you are
(you just make me wanna play)
Baby take a look around
(heh oh heh oh heh oh)
everybody's getting down
(heh oh heh oh heh oh)
deal with all the problems later
(later)
Bad boys on their best behaviour
[Bridge 2]
there's something about you let's keep it moving
and if it's good let's just get something cooking
coz i really wanna rock with you
i'm feeling some connection to the things you do
(you do you do)
[Chorus]
I don't know what it is
that makes me feel like this
I don't know who you are
but you must be some kind of superstar
coz you got all eyes on you no matter where you are
(you just make me wanna play)
I like the way you're moving
(heh oh heh oh heh oh)
I just get into the groovin' thing
(you just make me wanna play)
if you just put pen to paper
(heh oh heh oh heh oh)
got that feeling i'll see you later
(heh oh heh oh heh oh)
Make your move
here.. we get a little closer
you.. rock it just like you're supposed to
hey.. boy i aint got nothin' more to
say.. you just make me wanna play
It makes me feel like this
don't know
gotta be gotta be a superstar
all eyes on you
(you just make me wanna play)
[Chorus x 2]
I don't know what it is
that makes me feel like this
I don't know who you are
but you must be some kind of superstar
coz you got all eyes on you no matter where you are
(you just make me wanna play)

Hey guys, after some searching I finally found the website. A huge Hello to all from the UK. I adore the programme. Still on Series One here - has series 2 started over there yet? We are going to be having a UK version of the show - but the Fab 5 aren't gonna be on it - boo hoo! I would be sooooo happy if my favorite 5 poofs came to the UK.
Still laughing at Carson in every show - "Normal People.... Crazy People!"
Still drooling over Kyan and Jai.
Thom is a genius.
Is the show available on DVD at all?
Love to all,

I just have to let everyone know about my awesome "Queer Eye" experience. Kyan was in Minneapolis for a weekend making over one of our radio DJ's... I had the opportunity to meet with him on the last day that he was here, during the clothes shopping at Macy's. I had had my daughter tell him the day before that I would buy him the Very Sexy Victoria's Secret cologne if he came by to see me (I worked there) when he was done. So when he didn't show up I decided I would take it to him the next day when there would be less people around. My 7 year old son... who is a HUGE fan was so EXCITED to go meet him, he woke up sick and couldn't go... he was DEVISTATED. I went with my daughter and he was shocked that I would actually bring the cologne to him, he tried it and said it was yummy. I had made a letter for him (and the guys) with my son's picture and brought that to him as well. He was sweet enough to sign an extra photo for my son... well my daughter in the meantime called my son to tell him and Kyan graciously took the phone and talked with my son for about 5 minutes. David was beside himself, he was so excited. Kyan took the time to read the letter and answer his questions and he made his day! The care and compassion that you see when you watch the show is REAL... I have always loved the FAB 5 but this brought the respect to a whole new level... Thank You Kyan for making a little boy very happy.
Awww, that is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard about them! Snaps for Kyan! ****

Better than Thom's? Better than Thom's??! Oh lordy, catch me - I feel faint! Girl, a sensuous bubble bath while being scrubbed by extremely well-toned men in Egyptian sarongs and being fed the finest chocolate imaginable in a land so beautiful that it brings tears to your eyes could NEVER compare to having Thom just within my sight! I woud rather see him from 100 ft away and not meet him than win the Megamillion lottery...and yup, I'm serious!

I think Ted is great, but during the segments when all five guys are together, it seems like the rest of them drown him out most times...or maybe it's just me!
I think your are right. Yes, you are quite correct.
I am looking forward to at least *hearing* about the new episode's - even if I won't see them for weeks and weeks....probably months. There are still two episodes unaired here - the marine and the toupee guy. But there was a subtle shift in the momentum of the show in the very "family-oriented" Toale episode and to me it was a retrograde shift.
Going down the middle-of-the-road to capture the "family" audience and adding guests to the lineup?
How is it going to be be, if and when they add to the line-up with people like Kylie Minogue?
So, what have we got now - The Fab Six? The less pushy ones in the line-up are really going to get steam-rollered into the wings. There will simply be less and less time for their segments - well, you do the math.
I wonder what the direction will be this season? The Jeff Toale episode gave a clue - that acid-etched, sassiness had been dropped and there was a blandness in the delivery. The network really has opted for middle-of-the-road family viewing sector, which will severely blunt that "edge" that the show had in the beginning.
Even the lighting for that episode was different - more "warm, goldy" tones. Warning: It is QE Jim,but not as you knew it.
Someone do a searching evaluation of the upcoming episodes, for me, huh? 'Cos my queer eyes are tearing-up; my favourite show has probably been re-branded to appeal to the delectation of the masses.

But I've watched the DVD several times; the crazy crackhead chrimus part about 86 hundred times. It's so hysterical. And Thom being a Grateful Dead/U2/Phish fan just floored me. The Grateful Dead is my favorite band, tied with Queen and the Doors... but it was just so cool to hear that he likes that kind of music. The CD is awesome too. The Duran Duran song is great and so is Superstar by Jamelia. I had the best weekend.

I"M SO MAD! I just got this weeks US Magazine and on the back page under the title "Grammy's Big Goof-Ups" is a picture of Jai looking wonderful @ the Grammy's. I was so mad to see this because I thought he looked wonderful and very stylish. Underneath some comedian wrote the comment "I think his Queer Eye has gone out of focus." Not fair!
If you find any of Carson let us know because I'd be interested in seeing his entire outfit. Thanks alot!
C'mon, those pants were hideous. The shirt wasn't too bad, but the pants were right out of a bad '70s porno. I love Jai to pieces, but whoever let him leave the house like that should be slapped.
Girl I should smack you. And Im not that violent usually. I think he looked adorable. I want you to imagine another actor trying to pull that look off and ookin as hot as he did. GRRRRRRRRRRRR. I know you are intitled to your own opinion but honestly I love fashion and even tho i never go with what the latest "fad" is because the clothes I want I cant afford, but I do know a little somethin about fashion and in my opinion and in my cousins opinion youare wrong in this case. That is so awesome. God I want to meet the FAB 5!!!!!!! *starts crying* nothing exciting ever happens in Seattle, or Marysville for that matter. I want to move to either New York City or L.A. when I am older so I can be on Broadway, be an actress, singer or dancer. Im not sure if Im brave enough to get off my lazy butt to get there though. I only hope I will be able to do so later on but for now I dont think my parent want to pay a lot of money and go traveling so I can go to casting sessions and auditions and theatre arts schools and classes. I guess Ill just watch from the sidelines for now. If any f you are religious out there and pray than please pray that my dream will come true. Especially since Ive always wanted to do this but also because now that i know about the Fab 5 my chances of meeting them will increase a whole lot. Yippee.

Im very happy for your son. I can also try to get into contact with some of the famous people I know (which isnt really a lot just a few athletes and some music stars and stuff)to see what they know or what they can do. I know its not a lot but it goes for anyone out there who needs anything related to QE or anything else. Related to the Fab 5 or not.

Don't fret it, tick. Just because they did one family, people started having hissy fits...and for what? Nothing. They were a great family and he really did need the change. Personally, I doubt they could find anymore as wonderful as they were. It was an episode to take notes from, not frown upon. And it showed the flexibility of the Fab 5 in a situation other than just a straight man.
As for Ms. Minogue...ONE TIME APPEARANCE - PRAY!

Awww...{{{BIG HUG}}}...come on girl, buckup! Yeah, jobs are dang hard to find. I've been a temp in this state agency for 4 1/2 years with no chance of being hired. Also no benefits and nothing put away for my daughter's future. If I push it they can always hire another temp for less. I started out at 6 and made it up to 9 so I am at a stable plateau for now. School will make it all better if I stick to it. You may want to put in an application at all the temp agencies in your area and follow up on them regularly. In the meantime, turn to social service if you have to and don't be ashamed of it. That's what it's there for and heaven knows we put money into it when we're working.
And when you're feeling really depressed, remember that there is ALWAYS someone out there who has it worse. Works for me and I've had my car wrecked, daughter sick from the wreck, health probs I won't even go into, lost a 65 dollar schoolbook, received my g.p.a too late to qualify for certain scholarships I would have gotten, and etc...but you know what? Someone out there has it worst than I do, so I'll just keep smilin' - that plus I never came down from that meeting Thom high, lol!

Yes, my guy ky, I was a lucky one in meeting Kyan which was up there on my best days ever list! Oh he's so cute! But I still wouldn't mind going to a signing and meeting all of them! I did watch the Today Show & Regis & Kelly instead to show my love & this moment there's an episode running on my tv.
To answer your question about my location...it's MN/WI for a few reasons. I was born in the twin cities, MN then was raised in WI and now I go to school in northern Minnesota (Duluth) but then I live @ home in the summer (free rent/free food!). I also work @ home during the school year..I own my own dance studio & work @ hospital so I drive forth @ least once a week to teach dance classes. So I don't know where to call home! So it's MN/WI. Thanks for asking though! It's kinda confusing!

Thanks for the answers, Aurora. You sound like you lead a busy life. I'm up late, having finished watching the Fab 5 on Conan. Okay, don't anyone kick me offa the boards for this, but I have a confession to make: In '98 and '99, I had a crush on Conan. Maybe I'm obsessive-compulsive or something, but I need a crush to fixate upon. (I know, I know, but therapy is just too expensive at this time) I've had even more embarrasing celeb crushes before that, although non-celebrity crushes are the really heartbreaking kind. This was pre-Queer Eye and I couldn't find anyone better to moon over at the time. It obviously wasn't Conan's looks. Besides, he's huge <ouch!> and I'm such a wee one. I always liked his growl (which Kyan did for Richard M. and for that little man-stealer from Australia ) The sense of humor won me over, too.
Carson's remark about them being pickle-smokers was a hoot, as was the "made-better George W. Bush". Kyan wore leather pants, but I just wasn't feeling the stripes down the sides of them. Conan did that famous growl when Kyan touched his leg. I could've sworn I heard Kyan mention Malaysia, but they were all talking at the same time so I didn't quite catch it. Apparently Conan read my mind, too, because I loved the way he yelled for them to stop talking at the same time. That made me remember why I was so hung up on him. But I digress. I don't want to lapse back into that phase. It's my KYAN era! And thank you, Ky, for talking about the John Verdi episode. You are so yummylicious and I want to join the ranks of those here who've already been so graced with your presence.

TTB, I can always count on you! You're right you know? And I should also look back on the worse things that have happened to me. Of course watching last night's episode totally made me forget my woes! My babe Kyan in the yoga class..... what more could a girl want?
MAJOR *snaps* to you TTB for helping lift my spirits.

{{{{HUGS}}}} little lady for being well-coiffed!! That means your hair is looking pretty darned good! And thank you (and the lovely others) who congratulated me on my being feng shui-ed - I'm so excited! That's a level of Thomism because it has to do with arranging your apartment in a certain way to make some kind of energy or spiritual flow through it. Hmmm, my apartment looks like it's flowing downhill, lol
