I missed some of last year, but I'm not going to miss an episode this year...Jonathan is the HOTTEST man...Somone needs to talk to people magazine to nominate him for next years sexyest man alive...
The show is great and he is still so real. Doesn't take crap from anyone. Tells it like it is and isn't afraid to cry on national tv. And he can dance...Dreamy!!! His "girl" as he calls her is very lucky and now he's a daddy!!! Hopefully he doesn't let all of this success get too much in the way and remembers to take time out for his new family
Best of Luck Jonathan

I was very disappointed with the premiere show of the third season. Everything seemed so contrived in contrast to the previous seasons. It felt heavily scripted for a "reality TV" show: Super Jonathan perceives a problem, pisses people off about it, then swoops in but is always proven right in the end and everyone loves him and all is right in the world ... until the next contrived crisis. The trip to the shrink? Give me a break. Completely changing a professional photographer's shoot without telling him and the the photographer thanking him in the end? It doesn't work that way. His continual heart-rending reflection? Please. The only part that I believed was the time he spent interacting with his son (though the subsequent tears when he talks about his son are a bit much). Someone clearly felt this season had to be over the top relative to the previous seasons, but Jonathan comes across as a drama queen.

I'll check back around the middle of the season to see if anything has improved but, until then, there are better things to watch ...

Well, I really love seeing what I love on TV! Johnathan has taken on something almost none of us would ever try (as in the Hairdresssing profession)!!
I do have one question for Johnathan...
Are you going to keep your product strictly professional or are you going to let something good get in the hands of our "drug stores"?
Thanks again for taking the plunge that none of us have had the courage to do....you go boy and also....how about start traveling...maybe some business classes.....
sassyscissors33
Well i do agree....he needs to be out there where "real" people see that hairdressers are "someone"!!! Lets contact People soon!!!!

I was very bored with the premiere. I was hoping to see more of Jonathan and what he does best. Not his product and his crying. And with the new time, well, I prefer American Idol.
Jonathan, if you ever read this, if it's all about the hair, then show us some.

************************************************************ Did you watch the show last season? You can get Jonathan product from QVC and a store called Sephora, The only other place I believed he mentioned was in his salons.
stylistgrl1
i missed the premier...but I am sure they will rerun it during the weekend...I hope!!
Jonathn's products are awesome....bought them from QVC....as a hairdresser myself....I loved them!!
I'm hoping he will open a salon in Philly...so I could work for him..lol!!

I totally agree with this. And that groan-inducing speech towards the end when OMG the power went out and even against all odds they found a way to plug in their blowdryers into (gasp) a different socket, he launches into that never-before-used baseball analogy concerning the bottom-of-the-ninth, two out situation? Bravo, brave man, for finding the courage to continue.

I had to change the channel a few times simply out of embarrassment. But because the show/the man are so ridiculous, I find it thoroughly amusing. Like when a scoop of ice cream falls off the cone of a three year old. You know you shouldn't really laugh but, oh, what the heck.

I've seen them in the mall. Bath and Body Works, to be exact.

Here is a link to their site:
http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/category/i...6604&cp=2073258

Also, you can go to his site, and there is a link there to other places where you can get his product.

I gotta say, after seeing Season 2, I was so pleased when I went past Bath and Bodyworks, and not only saw his product, but saw that he'd gotten that water filter thing he wanted as well. I stood there holding it, thinking "He did it. Good for him."

YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT GOES ON BEHIND CAMERAS AND YOU TALKED LIKE YOU KNEW EVRYTHING? LEAVE THE HAIRSTYLING TO THE "PROFESSIONALS" OK? I have to agree with those who were disappointed with the show last night. For one thing, enough with the crying. Not saying I have a problem with men crying.....but like anything else, you can take it to a point of being annoying!!!

I've been trying to figure out why I didn't enjoy the show that much. I think I enjoyed watching the first season because it was all about the Beverly Hills & West Hollywood saloons and the people in them. Now, it's all about Jonathan's new product. Is this just an extension of QVC? I hope not. Anyway, I've really enjoyed watching this show in the past, so I'll definately be watching next week. Just hope it improves over last night.
skijop
Does anyone know where he gets all those hot blazers he wears. The creme one he is sporting on the first episode is hot. ANyway, let me know if anyone has the scoop!!

Sheesh, stop screaming. I stated that I find the show amusing, so stop with the scolding. Of course I know the details; I watched the show with the same concentration one watches a train wreck: both are amusing. And I will leave the hairstyling to the professionals; I am not a hairdresser. He's just so...full of himself. Which is indicative of show business (and if you claim that he has no awareness of the camera or of his audience, you are truly dense) but most people in show business choose not to reveal that side of themselves to the audience. That's the grotesque allure of this show, and what makes it okay to poke fun of the show in a forum such as this. Calm down, princess. It's just a television show.

Discuss everything that goes down in this season of Blow Out here!

During last season, Jonathan went through the hokey shower scene to set up this season's project (shower water filter). Okay, so he obviously didn't pay his gas bill for enough months that they shut it off and he had no hot water, but nonetheless he HAD water... so WHY did he need to finish the shower with bottled water???? Yeah, we know... he needed to be able to set up the premise for his shower water filter. Would have worked better if he hadn't paid his water bill and the water was shut off and he had to use bottled water. That would have made more sense!! Reality TV is basically like watching a train wreck... y'all know you shouldn't enjoy seeing it but can't turn away. Any who, still like watching to see if we can predict his tantrums and see how well the stylists put up with his multiple personality changes. Oh Jonathan, you are worse than a menopausal woman You might be better off getting some HRT instead of wasting $$ on the shrink), but we love watching you!
wxgirl4
No, that's not the case. Too bad you aren't a person who's actually worked hard and had success, then the responsibility and stress of maintaining quality of your work. There are so many people depending on 'Jonathan' as a franchise, now, and so many demands on his time, that what you see is EXACTLY what it's like. Have you been on national TV? I have. It goes down just like that. Have you had to run a multi million dollar business and have a new baby at the same time? You are very inaccurate in your criticisms of the show being contrived. This is very much what his existence is like.
momama
I really enjoyed the previous seasons of Blowout. This season.....I don't know. For me, I liked rooting for Jonathan to get his second salon off the ground, and then to get the whole 'product' line successful. But watching him last night, geesh what a jerk! I cannot believe he behaved that way to the blonde model. He ran her off the shoot, and then lied about not knowing why she left. From my very limited knowledge of the model world, Jonathan not only cost that girl a paycheck from that shoot, but potentially other jobs as well. I don't care what industry you work in, getting a reputation for leaving in the middle of a job for no reason will cost you future jobs. He knew why she left --- she didn't want to be naked! --- but he was too much of a coward to tell that to the photographer. After all, what is more important? Jonathans ego or a models paycheck? What a jerk!

Not to sound prudish here, but as far as no actual nudity would be shown in the photos? Perhaps not, but there was plenty of nudity shown to Jonathan and Bravos tv crew, and the viewing audiance as well....via the pixalated nipple of the brunette model.

I hope Jonathan the underdog returns because I don't think that I'll be able to watch much more of yet another Hollywood type with more ego and vanity then brains or compassion.
rxgrrl
I watched the first 2 seasons. This was the show I loved to hate. I was disappointed with last nights show too and I am not going to watch it anymore. Jonathan is the same neurotic, ego-maniac jerk. I'm ashamed of myself that on a whim I bought his expensive product (Dirt). He freaked out because his product people did something on thier own with his hairspray without asking his permission. Then he goes and does basically the same thing to the fashion designer. What really turned me off is his blatant disrespect for women, calling them chicks and bitches. No one mentioned that he and Sesie got married. I hope she was smart enough to not marry this jerk.
Blow_Me
Well put. I too can't help but watch Jonathan fumble-bumble his way through each episode, seemingly unaware (right.) that a camera crew is capturing his every lame utterance and cry-baby whining. The stupid speeches are simply laughable!

Thank God for Jonathan's ability to Save The Day when the power goes off! All he probably had to do was reset the GFI on the outlet he was using...duh. But hey - a guy who dreams up the concept of water filtration while taking a cold shower can't be expected to know everything.

This guy's self absorbtion is pure entertainment!
Jakesmommy98
I think they need to focus a little more on the Jonathan as the family man and how he handles all that pressure and day to day routine. Also he should expand to show some of his stylist more. I have been to his salon in Beverly Hills and had my hair done by Micheal. I was really sad when I left because you could tell no one there wanted to talk about the show or be reminded of it. There was some of the drama as there was on the show but it was not what I expected. I have the product line and love parts of it. The shampoo and conditioner doesn't work for me, I don't know if it is an east coast water thing or what but it makes my hair very flat. Love the dirt and the volumizer but not a fan of the finishing spray either. We have a lot of humidity in PA.
blowingit
OMG what a fake show! I loved the previous seasons, but this opener was an eye opener. This isn't the reality TV I remembered. The whole clothing shoot was incredibly staged. That clothing designer Steve was a horrible actor when he came in and saw the semi-undressed models. He walks off in "anger" then is EASILY talked into "trying" some photos and, low and behold, he loves it. Give me a break. Also, I can't imagine a clothing designer hiring a hair stylist to work on site and NEVER checking up on the hair stylist's progress until the girls are on the photo set.

The blonde model that walked off the set did so way too suddenly. A quick emotionless "I didn't sign up for this, so..." and she leaves the job? No attempt to try and change Jonathan's mind so she can be part of the TV show? Poor acting again. Ugh.

Even if you believe it was all real, what a horrible example Jonathan set. I doubt any clothing designer would want to hire a hair stylist who won't tell them what the vision is and then take such dramatic control by changing how the models wear the clothing. No client want's their vision to be hijacked like that. Totally unprofessional.

This is going to make the wait for Project Runway 3 painfully long.
cutterinpa
I was not too thrilled with Project Runway this season also. I hope the next one is better. I don't know if it's just a reality thing, but this kind of stuff happens to sitcoms and dramas. The first year they are all new and adventurous, then it starts going downhill from there. Conforming to the same old rules and same old stuff.
daparlor
Jonathon needs to stay true to other stylist in this business and keep his products strictly in salons only. I hope "dirt" lives up to it's hype.
Verenka
Just watched the first episode of season 3 and I am not sure I can stomach Jonathan this time around with his even bigger ego and crocodile tears. I think his time may be up.
crybaby
This is the most staged "reality" show I have ever seen. Jonathan is arrogant, self-centered and egotistical to the max. An artist???? He just fixes hair - what a diva! All you hear throughout the show is it's all about Jonathan. Lifestyles of the rich, selfish and arrogant...
Radmom413
I like this show! I haven't seen Episode 1 of Season three yet.....I will catch it today.

Also, I have been using "Dirt" for about 10 months or so - on my second jar. It does live up to it's hype and 1 jar lasts a very long time. One of my favorite products. Thanks to the poster who said you can get it at Bath and Body - I have been ordering mine from QVC as I don't have a Sephora near by either......now I have access to all products!!!

I totally agree with you. I found the show last season and loved it. I seen the ad for season 3 i was very excited, but when i watched i was dissapointed it seemed scripted and his attitude is worse. He may be cute but he is NOT Gods gift.
dogabone
I know spelling in America is rapidly becoming a lost art, but can we all at least spell Jonathan's name correctly? It's on the show; it's on the bottles; it's even in the Bible! So sad that we can no longer write literate postings!

OK, I was literally crying at this part of the show. And again when I read this. HaHaHa. LMAO! Ach ... my kingdom for an extension cord!

I tuned in occasionally during seasons 1 & 2. I can't take the full dose of this show. I tuned in because ... as most have mentioned ... it's a train wreck. I know it's wrong, but .... I hope in real life, he's a nicer guy than he is on the show. I also hope that the marketing team for Jonathan product is really well-paid. I'd have refused to work on his account after season 2. At least with him doing all this other stuff outside of the salon, his poor staff can work in peace sometimes.
EllenC
I was laughing when they had to find new outlets as well. Gee, Jonathan, it's not like you and your hair SWAT team had to scale the high-rise with your blowdryers in your teeth. A little perspective would be helpful here.

I think that on some level the guy's sincere, which must make him a real doozie for his therapist. I know he's successful and trying to be even more so, but it would be nice if he had an epiphany and tried for a little more balance, if not in his life, mood swings. And here's maybe my harshest criticism of him: he's often unprofessional and demands treatment and consideration that he doesn't extend to others. He pitched a fit because the marketing people showed him the fool bottles that he refused to participate in but had no trouble being sneaky with his vision of a clothing ad with a photographer -- another professional colleague, if I'm not mistaken. (Last season he couldn't seem to grasp the fact that the advertising award wasn't for him. Hello, Jonathan! Did you expect the marketing team to appear on QVC with you?) Boundaries and expertise, sir.

I'm wondering if the marketing folks placed bets on how many times Jonathan would stomp out of their various meetings, or if they could manage to get him away from his Shakespearean speeches long enough to return their calls. I don't care how successful he is, he's rude. The guy should be grateful that his products look so good; he certainly wasn't any help.
lucidartzdotcom
I hate to break it to you Jonathan, but I think your "shower water filtration system" has already been invented... it's called a soft water system. Yeah I know fans, this is a more portable (and over priced) system blah blah... I just wanted to be a smart arse
orchids20
If Johathan is so tired and overworked maybe we should stop watching the show and don't anyone buy his products. He will have time to sleep and see his baby and look in the mirror!!! I can't stand this season!!
crsdr
I wholeheartily agree with you. Last two seasons here is he driving down a street making comments as women walk by acting like a total horn dog. Now he is this dedicated father and calls his girlfriend/fianace' wife. Sorry but I am not buying it. This season is so sad. I guess that tells you that Blow Out is blown up.
crsdr
OMG I miss Project Runway also. Although season two did not have the drama like season one. I totally loved Santino...

I wished it was on...This show is not my favorite but it kills the time for me.
crsdr
"I think they need to focus a little more on the Jonathan as the family man"

What family man, he has put out how he is into being single and building his business. He further mentioned how he could not have a lasting relationship because of his dedication. Nothing wrong with that. He has acted like this total horndog on two legs and now he is almost married and with child. Why does that sound so fake to me. I just do not buy into his big ego about his baby and wanting the family thing. Now I believe his dedication to his kid but it just all smacks of fakism to me...Jonathan a father no drama queen yes...
blondee
I think that the "drama" is the whole idea here... that IS the show. If you want serious, you need to be watching a whole different type of show so that you will get what is expected. Jon's "arrogance" and etc.. IS the show. That's part of what makes it just plain fun entertainment. Why don't you try the history channel instead.
motherthersa
I love to watch Jonathan. I don't know just how I feel about him. He lives in a different world than I do. I love his excitement about his job. I have watched from the start and enjoy it. I have to say that I was recently very upset by what I say. This guy calls him up and ask him to do the hair for his photo shoot and tells him exactly what he wants. Right away, Jonathan plans on doing something totally different. Something that only Jonathan wants. This is very wrong. Does anyone remember Jon blowing his top whenever anyone does anything different than what he wants?? I do! He complains about people not respecting his time and money issues. Then, he does even worse to this guy who ask him to do a job to promote his clothing and doesn't get anything that he asks for. Jonathan took this man's time and money and used it for something he wanted. Even though the guy gave in and said it was okay; this was very wrong Jonathan. I really lost some respect and can't seem to forget it. I hope that Jon will learn to respect others and treats them like he wants to be treated. I'll keep watching and hoping.
LuvRacin
I'd like to see less of Johnathan and more of his staff. They were on the show more last year nows it seems its all about Johnatnan and Jonathan Product. Yeah its his show, but his staff is all a part of this too.
Imadramamama
I totally agree with you. I was anxious for season 3 but it lacks the sparkle of seasons 1 and 2. I am so over this show and won't continue watching.
Erzsike
I happen to love Jonathan no matter what! If it wasn't for his attitude, where would he be? I loved the Season 3 first two episodes! That baby is adorable! and I agree with a lot of other posters, let's see more of the other staff! Great work Bravo!
Ta2dmama01
I must agree with the last post. COME ON! of COURSE it's going to be somewhat scripted/edited. SO WHAT if he talks about his son a lot? I talk about my kids all the time! they're the most amazing little things on the PLANET! And by the way, having worked with prof. photographers REPEATEDLY...I can tell you right now....they're minds are not too difficult to change.

that is all.
Ta2dmama01
I'm dying to get my tresses on the styling brushes that Jonathan uses. Does anyone know the brand and where I can find them?
handel11
Hey, c'mon.... get a life
Ta2dmama01
you're telling me to get a life because I asked about brushes? wow.
huntiesmama
I can't believe you people are up set about Jonathan's "evolution." Life is about change and this is a reality show, folks. Jonathan is allowed to change. The man is obviously growing up and I love it. If would be so very boring to see the same old, same old. It just proves there is totally a reason behind this man's incredible sucess; he is a thinking man. IMHO
mtgirl
I really like Jonathan. I thought it was great how he did the extensions and the girls almost nude. I'm glad that he totally won over the photographer. I really think that Jonathan needs to get some hair implants because his hair line is receeding. He's selling hair products and is so famous that I don't think he should not keep a full head of hair. It seems like it's the style for men to comb their hair forward, and Jonathan combs his hair back and it makes him look like he's got a really high forehead. It's just a thought. His little boy is so cute. The show is great.
mallory24
I do not think Jonathan is hot at all.. He thinks he is. Enough of the crying and telling the viewers how much he has worked, what he overcame to get this far...Big deal!! So many people have done far greater thing than to cut hair for people with the same size egos. Hopefully he will put as much effort into parenting as he puts into blowing himself up. Stroke yourself in private please!
hairteacher
I love the Blow Out show, as a Cosmetology instructor I really appreciate Jonathan's pride in being a hairdresser, our work is important and our job is harder than what people think. He's learned how to build and empire and that is smart. By the way, I need some feedback from all the licensed stylists out there. I invented a device that makes haircuts very straight, especially blunts, bangs and layers. (It's not a cutting device but a guide device-sorry, can't give too much away). It also controls the hair better than just the fingers and it protects the fingers during point cutting. I've had my students use it while learning to their basic cuts and it really helped them see their angles and their cuts were very straight. Would you all please let me know since I'm going to all the expense of patenting the device if something like this would intereset you. I would so very much appreciate it. I've workded hard on it and I think it will help all of us cut faster and have more precision in our designs. Thanks !!!!!!!!

Does Annie, the Beverly Hills manager still work there? I have not seen her yet in Season 3.
