I take it Brandon is trying to look like Warren Beatty from "Shampoo". Right down to the ruffle prom shirt to the ridiculously bad big hair style. Could he get it much higher? Advice: Be yourself...and get a haircut!

I loved the show! I was really impressed with Kiara!
One question WHERE could I find a really good pic. of her to show my hair stylist to get a look similar to hers!!
I liked how she had it during her audition!!!!

Hey if anyone wants more dirt on Alicia I worked with the gal in The " SF Bay Area" Yeah right !!! She never even worked in the city?! I worked with her for a year in Saratoga and we were just another one of her lovely "Stepping Stones"... Great stylist, but needs to be pushed off of her silly high horse... Hopefully someone at the salon will see her true colors and give her a nice swift kick in her booty... Don't give her an inch....She'll take a mile...

I had no intention of watching this show, but happened to catch the opening few minutes and realized that I knew Jenn from High School. I guess I've got to watch it now.

I watched this again last night...I think the staff are all "delicious" in their own way...
First off, I love Jonathan's attitude...work it, honey...I totally get the idea of different "styles"...plus I love you in the glasses...way cool/hot/sexy/sharp...I read where others think you are pompous...trust me, you are doing it all the right way. You say (something like) "go big or don't go at all"...it's close to MY personal favorite saying: "Larger than life is just the right size..."
Jenn, you are totally working the punk-sex kitten look...I love what you've done with your eyes...deep, dark and sultry...
Brandon, sweety the hair, the hair, the hair...I love the curls, I love the thickness, but the style makes your head look enormous...I can't decide if you should go long or short or just the length you've got. You have great eyes...they really pop, but the hair and the dumpy clothes take away from that...(love you tho' sweetie)...as for the clothes...give me a few hours with your credit card and we can take care of that for you!
Jason, I love the East Coast look. Glasses look good on you and give you a definite different look...by day, Clark Kent, by night...J-Lo! I think your east coast flair will do well in Beverly Hills...
Kiara, you look like you are having fun. You are a beautiful woman and the hair is way too cool! You don't need the extra "gadgets" however, you are fine the way you are...
Bravo, next time you debut a show like this, give us two hours to get into it...I want to see what happens with the opening!!!

Hiring a staff could quite possibly be the most explosive chores when opening a business. Add to it the primadonna personalities each stylist/nail tech or support staff brings into the picture and you have either a GREAT SALON or you sit on a time bomb! So far I am thrilled with all the personalities in the salon as they should make for some great episodes...but being that this is the first one its hard to lay down perspective on each one of them. I was hoping to see a bit more creativity in the styles that each applicant brought to the salon but given the pressures of having to "perform" or "audition"..Ill hold out for better, later. This is gonna be an interesting ride. Id give anything to be in their shoes!!! Good luck to all!!!

I have to say, when I was watching it, I really liked Brandon (my name says one heck of a lot). When I saw the previews for it, I knew I would like him the most probably. He has the whole smart/bad ass thing going, which is totally awsome. Plus he rocks. The way he does what he wants to do and talks back to Jonathan is funny! Go Brandon! Not to mention he is a total babe! hehe. I like his hair, I think I may be the only one too. . hehe.

When I caught the show last night I was SOOOOO excited! I use to work with Jenn at The Studio Theatre in DC! She was awesome! I remember when she left to "make it big in Hollywood"! I am so proud of her! Congrats Jenn! You have succeeded!

HOORAY for 102!!!...BRAVO!!...Last nights episode revealed so much of the staff and the conflicts of the personalities to come!!!...Can you say PRIMADONNAS!!!!!! Just about every single one of them has some sort of chip on their shoulders!!.
TEAMWORK?....THERE IS NONE!!....There are only cliques!!
The closest thing to any team work there was between Jenn (LOVE HER), Jason(very genuine so far) and Kim(keep fighting for that CHAIR!!) and ok Jonathan gave his best after snapping out of his drama coma! I was hoping the experience itself would humble him a little, but the next day proved....it did not!
Ok, Micheal and Tish.......WTF?? They disappeared before the party was over! I was hoping Micheal would be a bit more of and individual and although he didnt verbally respond to Tish about Kims nose being so far up Jonathans butt, he did chuckle and FOLLOW. Just remember this Micheal, even the prettiest stars in the sky, eventually go dim and fall! Tish, You just need to pack up and go back to the WH locatation if you are not going to make an effort or cause drama!!!
Brandon, well what do I say? The SAME shirt you wore for work to the party?...hmmm...Ive worked far into the nite and have had parties to attend right after work..but Im originally from L.A. and I KNOW there are a hundred shops from W.H. to B.H. pull that bike over and at least buy another Tshirt!!!!(still love ya man!!)
Alicia, if you are gonna walk into that salon with all that attitude,at least bother to clean your hair brushes before exposing them to the nation!!!!
As for everyone else...we will just have to wait and see how long it takes for them to be seduced by the drama spotlight!! Overall...I loved it! Way to go guys!!

Brandon gets a couple of "cool points" in my book because he was really wrongly accused during the last episode. I think it was the stress of the situation for Jonathan, but I think that Brandon got pretty "beaten up" on opening day.
When that happens, I am naturally attracted to root for the "little guy"...no one likes a bully...much less a bully with power. (Now, Jonathan's not a bully in my book -so far- he was under a lot of stress.)
So this week, Brandon won a place in my heart...he seems to want to do the right thing...he's not really a "bad boy" nor do I think he should be made out to be one. This week, I think he was just misunderstood...I hope he doesn't get too discouraged by the situation...
But next week, it looks like he does the "chimp" thing...NOT cool, sweetie...NOT cool...

The attitudes that Tish and Alicia showed last night were so gross to me. I have lived in LA my entire life and these sort of transplanted people give LA its reputation for breeding ego driven fake people. The party scene gave me a stomach ache, all that posturing and cheek/air kisses. Yuck.

I wonder if anyone knows the answer to this. On the show credits Jen is spelled with one "n" while on this website it is listed with two "nn's".
Does anyone know which one is correct?

Missed the first half hour again.....but still lovin it! Thought Tish needed a smack in the head, she needs an attitude adjustment big time!
Brandon is Brandon - he's so into himself he thinks nothing of the way he acts. Drinking on the job during the day - so not cool Brandon!
Jonathan totally went overboard with the whole client issue in the morning - get a grip.
The front desk girl Kimberly - trying to be a stylist - don't tell people your problems when shampooing there hair - they don't care and you look foolish. Do what you need, learn what you can, get your test done and over with - if he doesn't show some interest in 3 months, after that walk. You need to get your feet wet and pay attention - it's all about the client and the stylist and you don't have what it takes yet.
Alicia - I know it's hard to work next to a showoff - but don't go to his level - you need to be the better person, grow up, suck it up and just deal with it. When you stormed off you looked like a complete fool.
Jenn - being the mediator is not easy - Jonathon is very lucky to have you - love your hair!
All in all still happy with the show!

I agree - which makes me fell like he really isn't a badass at all - he actualy backdown to Jonathon in the confrantation out front - I worked with a kid just like him and he would go nose to nose with the owner and won ever time...Grow up little boy there a so many great hairstylist out there that are better than you.

I really like Jonathan. He's not at all what I expected. He seems very down to earth and hard-working. Unlike Rocco and the Restaurant I am really cheering for Jonathan.
As for Brandon---His hair is too freaky for me. Doesn't look real. I think he looks a bit too grungy for Beverly Hills.

Her name is Jenny (rather than Jennifer), so it could really go either way. I always wrote it Jen when we were "friends". Hahaha. If nothing else, this show put me back in touch with an old flame that I hadn't seen in over 10 years.

umm... JMO but Tish came off as the biggest WITCH on TV. She has so incredibly rude to everyone, I sincerely hope that she gets fired in the most humilating way possible! Of course, having a villian makes the show good. Also, the scripted commercial for AMEX-Open Small Business. Awful and embarassing. Bravo, don't do it again.

I swear that is true as well as the puck/Real World comment. The one thing that seems so strange to me though, is how much I can't stand Brandon's immaturity and womanizing actions while, at the same time, I would do him in a heartbeat. Does anyone else share my view?
