Can Jonathan Products be used by black women? If so, my hair is thinning as I get older and is having a hard time growing. My hair used to be really long and thick but do to excessive perms and coloring now it does not grow or look healthy. Any suggestions?

Jonathan had a little tube in his pocket last night of a product he called Silky Dirty. I searched the web and found nothing. I know he has a product in a "dirty" line, but no silky and the packaging is different.

Hi Shoegal, I used to own a nail salon and when I first started I did many promotions and specials for every holiday. Make fliers and put small ads in your paper. Remember everything is tax deductable. Most of all, have fun. Your new clients will to. Good Luck. ReBe

Could someone please explain why anyone -- anyone at all -- would want to watch some guy driving around, walking around, slouching around making a total ass out of himself and being as obnoxious as possible? I thought Bravo was into some real entertainment but I have changed my mind after watching this piece of dreck. I even had to ask a friend what the show was about because I could see no point to it whatsoever. I still can't.

AngelMay Did you ever watch MTV Jessica and Nick It is reality tv. I like blow out ever been to a hair salon and see what goes on and she BS they talk about. But I watch survivor too. And the BBC there's television cash in the attic and Bargain Hunter. And Monty Python.
That is such a good question!!! And I ask myself that question every Tuesday evening. He is a fool! It is all about him! I sit there and I talk back to him, cross my eyes, make gagging noises. So I guess it is only for the aggravation and entertainment.

My friends and I are curious about people's zodiac signs to see if they fit the profile of of the sign.
As for his nationality my friends & I were saying he reminds us of someone who may be Spanish because he has a hot head when he blows up but yet he is so sensitive wearing his heart on the outside, this is just out of curiousity us wondering if he was of any spanish backround not that it really matters. I'm not even Spanish.
I'm just an admirer of Europeans.
Maybe you should'nt be so defensive about a simple question of someones backround as for me plenty of people ask me all the time what my nationality is and I proudly respond Italian.
I love all people reguardless of their heritage maybe I just find beauty in every race and I'm curious to know about the differences between them. If all people were made up of the same color life would look very gray.

I am also curious about his zodiac sign. It fits his personality if he's a LEO like his bday suggests on August 16th. Tempermental, emotional and perfectionism. When I heard his mom talk on the Blow Out special last season (when he proposed to Sescie), I thought maybe they could be Armanian or something like that. I don't think he's Spanish or Italian. I just need to say that I bought the add moisture conditioner and was soooo disappointed. I was sure it would be the best but I couldn't even get a comb through my hair. Jonathan seemed so knowledgeable so I don't understand why this product sucked so bad.
I've really learned alot from just watching the show. I love it. I would like to know, where can I go to look into getting the products. Thank you.
Hi Guys - My wife loves Blow Out and watching Jonathan and once she made a comment about hos she liked a shirt that all of Jonathan's staff was wearing. It was a black t-shirt that had "Drama Free" written across the front.

I wonder if there will be a season 4? This is a show I love to hate. I watch it everytime it comes on even thought I swear I won't watch. Maybe it's because I can't believe someone like Jonathan really acts the way be does or because he has a more exciting life than I do, I don't know?

Thank you for defining my reasons for watching, really! It's not so much to torture myself but it's an outlet to talk back to a person that really annoys me, something I can't do in my job or my relationships. Yes, I could change the channel but then I'd be doing what I do in my real everyday existence--ignoring and smiling through.
I really am over myself--I'm just doing "my thang" as in the theme song.

Actually, I meant the statement that he is American in the best way. I am not closed minded, or defensive but extremely open minded and don't type people as Spanish because they are "hot-headed." I could say that my heritage is English/Irish/German and that I have generally English coloring, that is, fair skin with high color (meaning I blush easily) and a typically German hausfrau build--stocky, broad hips, but that doesn't make me any less American! Actually, if you watched the last show, you might have noticed Jonathan's mother appears to have a British accent. Yes, I definitely appreciate the rainbow melting pot of our American culture. The only people in the US who are not immigrants or the children of immigrants are the Native Americans.
As for the comment regarding asking about his birthday, again, I apologize--that WAS snippy and uncalled for.

I have a 15 year old daughter who is about to turn 16 who has NEVER had her hair cut. It is passed her butt and almost down to her knees. She doesn't trust anybody to cut her hair. She said she only would trust Jonathan to cut her hair and since we live in Illinois and I couldn't afford his prices...what do you suggest I do? She wants a totally different look for her 16th birthday in September.
If you watched any of the shows, you would know Jonathan's mother is from England, if not his father too.

Who does this guy think he is anyway? He's not that talented, but he has the EGO of someone who thinks they are the best hairstylist that ever was.
He acts like only he knows what is right, under any situation. Examples:
He thinks he knows more than Scott, the advertising guy about packaging.
He thinks he knows more than the QVC people about how to promote a product.
He thinks he knows more than the product people about what makes a superior product. (He's JUST a BARBER for God's sake, not a chemist!)
He thinks he knows more about photography than established photographers.
He thinks he knows more about fashion than established designers.
He thinks he knows more about everything than all the specialists of the fields. (shower filters & "beauty water"??? what a freaking joke!!)
It's amazing that he can even get out of bed with a head the size of "The Elephant Man".

He needs to remember that he wasn't even the FIRST CHOICE to be the focus of the series. They had some other (and more talented) stylist in mind at first. Brandon (who is getting his own show) was already hired. It's because of tension between him & Johnathan that Johnathan got the gig. Johnathan should thank Brandon for the MILLIONS he now has - because if it weren't for Brandon he wouldn't have been there & be in the position to have the product line, the "beauty water" water filter, etc...
Brandon is WAY more talented than Johnathan. That's why Johnathan got rid of him, he was JEALOUS and couldn't take being SHOWN UP by Brandon.

Amen! You nailed it! I love the fact you know he wasn't the first choice, and he should be down on his knees everyday thanking Ala or who ever for how bloody lucky he is for this chance they gave a middle of the road hair dresser!

I totally agree with everything you said! Very well put. Funny how he was so wishy/washy about the girlfriend last season, prior to her getting pregnant, then for ratings this season, made sure that he kept her in the picture. He thinks he's a role model or "great" dad, PLEASE. He's so selfish and his GF should run far away as fast as she can. She'll end up being a single mom anyway since J. is selfish with his time unless it means something for him and his wallet.
Glad to see Brandon got his own show. I wasn't a huge fan of his, but editing by JA could have played a role in that. It'll be interesting to see where Brandon's career goes. Maybe they will both be at NYC Fashion Week next season. MEOW, the claws will be out.

Ok, I haven't watched every single episode, but I've tried to keep up with these series simply out of the "I can't believe people in L.A. live like this" type of strange facination. Today I'm watching a rerun of I guess what was the last show and I just have to ask this.

Since this is a general discussion, I just want to say that I totally enjoy the Project Runway show. The exeption is however, the way they handled that reunion episode where they talked about the inappropriate instructional magazines and how they kicked what's- his -name out. I thought they were totally unfair. Everyone just acted so uppity about it as they plowed over his explanation of how the magazines got in his room. They acted like he wasn't even there with an explanation.It's okay if they have more than enough money and tranfer there ego manic tendency to the runway judgements. I say this because some of those designs deserve harsh scrutiny. It should not however, be the case where two sides of the story need to be weighed as in the special case concerning the instructional magazine fiasco.
