Michael was a great subject. He was very open to the process. He noticed the need for change (fruit soup? Oh, does anyone else remember the Dolly Parton diet?) He seemed very comfortable with the guys. Funny. Charming. Cute baby. Lovely wife. BUT thank gawd for the MUTE button! De, sweetie, I'm relying on you to give a recap of what the guys said during the karaoke part. I could not bear it. But snaps to Michael for having the courage to get up there and sing in front of not only friends, but on national television. On second thought, I really have no room to talk. I am the world's worst singer (except for that American Idol guy who "sings" She Bangs). While in the children's choir at church, the choir director once asked me to "just mouth the words." So KUDOS to Michael...but I still can't listen to it.

I thought Michael was cute, as was his wife and the adorable little TJ was too cute for words. I think he will make a great transition from the fruit soup to a nice well balanced diet.

Poor Kyan's back must be tired after she was on it. I was going to give him a massage to make it all better, but changed my mind. Since it takes two to tango, I'll only place half the blame on Amy. Kyan's done way too many of these scenes that break my heart, as if he's just out to hurt my feelings intentionally: letting Kylie roll his shirt onto him, letting James M. do a backroll on him, letting Mark Fa.'s stepdaughter sit on his lap and now this! Grrr! Why did I even bother recording this episode? Kyan didn't really shine as he usually does. He wasn't even shirtless and he looked super dorky as the scientist in his Hip Tip. No offense to Carson, but I really wasn't feeling that outfit on Kyan. Nor did I like his sandals during the reveal. I found it a bit ironic that Ky was talking to the SG about his hair being greasy. Kyan, your hair looked a bit greasy itself this time. {Either I'm PMS-ing or my Kyan deserves to be in the doghouse this time. Maybe the former. }. While I'm dogging him: This is the third time he's promoted the Crest Whitestrips. Yes, they are a good product; I've tried them and was pleased. But in last week's episode he was laughing as he did it like he was trying to convince himself, let alone the SG. I'm so over it now. Put some variety into your product placements, Ky. Well, I got an evil pleasure out of watching him having to do the bulk of the cleaning. The only nice things I have to say about him this time?: It was funny when Carson fed him the baby food, and Kyan was cool with the SG having tattoos. (mine are nowhere near as big and are usually hidden under most clothes.) It's so nice to have a boyfriend who'll accept me as I am, ink and all (even if he is gay). Okay, enough on you, Kyan. You'll get your spankin' later on, my dear.
Amy got hers ahead of time when the boys found her lil' "Love Kit" (Hee! Must you queers go through everything?)
Carson and Thom really did shine in this episode. Although I didn't relate to the SG's new-aginess, I definitely could relate to his sitch about not wanting to look to "corporate" at his office job. I hope they'll address this on QEftSGirl, too. (I'm either in a boxy, frumpy suit that makes me look ancient and feel as dorky as Ky in his Hip Tip, or I wear what I'm comfortable with and look too tarty for the office.) Carson handled this beautifully. Carson was a hoot at the beginning wearing the cheetah print dress. *Snaps* to Carson for picking out nice boxer briefs as well as the John Fleuvog boots for him. I loved when he said, "Your feng is gonna shui outta your pants."
Thom picked out a Saarinen table for them. *stomp* *pout* I want a Saarinen!*whine* I also loved the hanging circular thingies on their wall. It was funny during the reveal when the SG served too much meat and Thom said, "They're gonna be poopin' for days." I liked his and Carson's Hip Tips best. Thom: "Jai, this room is a mess." Hee! In Carson's Hip Tip, Ted looked good when he was shining Carson's boots.
All in all, this wasn't one of my faves, but my favorite part of all was that they showed the cute cat! =^.^=

Okay, Thom, make me fall in love just a little bit more! Thank you for raising awareness on the issue of de-clawing cats and opting for putting rubber tips on the claws instead. The procedure used to de-claw cats is not the removal of the claws, but rather amputation of the tips of the cats toes. Many vets realize that their clients may not be aware of what de-clawing involves and try to inform them of this as a means of discouraging such a drastic step. I believe that there are people who love animals and people who love to HAVE animals....it's not necessarily the same thing. Thom, you are truly an animal lover and I'm grateful to you for being well informed and making the effort to inform others as well. Paco's a lucky dog to have such a good daddy.

I just emerged from my coma. Luckily, I work at a hospital so when I didn't show up to work this morning they sent over an ambulance and was revived. They couldn't figure out why I kept mumbling "I saw @ss" over and over again. lol
I actually didn't like this episode as much as the last 2. It didn't have enough laugh out loud moments. QE is my prozac so I depend on my Thommy and the rest of the Fab 5 to give me a serious case of the giggles to get me through the rest of the week.I guess I'll have to pull out my old favorite Alan ep for an additional shot of funniness. And maybe throw a little Kevin D in for added pleasure. I know...I'm crazy.
My favorite moment was when Kyan found the tube of Soft and Beautiful product. Just shows how clueless guys really are. Why would he want to make his hair look so greasy? Does he really think it looks attractive? Thank heavens Kyan intervened.
And who lives on fruit soup? Yeah, sure I live on a diet of granola bars and cherry coke but I have no money. What's his excuse? He could stand to gain a few pounds.
He seemed like a very sweeet guy though and was open to all the F5's suggestions. And how cute was the baby?! My Thommy was pure genius again.Loved, loved, loved the hanging strings of circles. Very cute idea of the little playroom. I can't help but think he would make a wonderful father.
My very favorite part came at the end with Thom's hip tip. Too funny. I had to watch it over and over again.

It was also hilarious how they all kept calling Jai the "baby". Oh,and when Ted told Thom to tuck in his shirt,LOL!!!

This episode was very calming. Maybe it was Michael's nature and Kyan's nature being on the same level (almost), but it just felt really calming - even though there was a baby crying, lol
My husband Thom, of whom I cannot speak enough of, is COMPLETELY brilliant!! How cute was that little playroom he made in the wall for our baby...uh, I mean the couple's baby...yeah, that's it! Baby would be going down for lots of naps because Mommy would be having a ball in that space to herself! And the rest of the house, WOW!! I'm normally into a darker atmosphere but I could DEFINITELY live there! Those hanging lamps above the table...what were those? I LOVED them! The feel of the house was just very VERY comfortable!
Michael was so sweet, the feelings between him and his wife were so honest and true. Yes, I did cringe when he sang karaoke, but I also smiled because he was expressing his love for his wife. I really liked this episode - it would be a rerun favorite to end a hectic day

I thought I saw somewhere where Crest paid for a certain amount of plugs during this season. I'm thinking that Kyan's doing a lot of them now to get them out of the way.
And yes, De, that's exactly what I thought of -- "Oooh, I see some A$$!" Just in case that wasn't swoon-worthy enough (don't know how that could be), Thom in form-fitting short sleeves at the end... guh. *gapes, drools*

I liked this episode. Michael seemed sincere in wanting to change, and Amy seemed very supportive. Some of my favorite parts...Ted saying "take that, Low-carb people". I totally agree with Ted about not eliminating certain things from your diet. Everything in moderation! I just loved how Thom did the place. That play area for TJ was so darn cute! They totally understand that Thom is a genius:) How 'bout Thom's tail hanging out during the tent scene? Too funny! I also like how they talked about the pets in this episode. They should because animals are a part of the family too. The only thing I didn't really care for was Michael's hair. It seemed a little too Rick Ocasek (dude from The Cars) for me. But as long as Michael and Amy like it! I also think the Hip Tips are getting better and better as time goes by. One last comment...isn't Thom just Delicious!

O H , M ' G A W D ! ! ! !
Will someone PLEASE give that man a bucket so he can carry a tune!
At first I shook my head in disbelief and mumbled, "Well, guys, you really have your work cut out for you." Actually I was tempted to turn off the boob-tube and go take a shower. I felt that dirty already.
It's amazing how much was accomplished in one Fab Five Day...and not just the physical changes. Our men took Michael C. on a path to reposition himself within his home and the world around him, without loosing his own sense of identity.
A real high point for me was the inventive Thom's solution to the baby's toy problem! It was like a giant "Kitty Kastle" for children at an age at which anything within reach becomes a toy.
A couple of months ago I spent a few days with my nephew's family in The Windy City. They are in the process of selling their current home and every morning before they leave for work everything has to be spotless in case a realtor brings in a prospective buyer. Their first-born just had his first birthday and has learned what fun it is to throw his toys everywhere. Boy, could they have used a play area like that one -- marvelously utilitarian and yet playfully decorative.

Carson, vous etes un genie quand choisi les vetements pour Les Cinq Fabuleux. Les habites `a A.P.C. n'etait pas un exception.
Ok... my head really does hurt now... I've forgotten too much of my great Grandmother's French! My tenses and conjugations... sigh... I give up.
Ok... here I go, chatting about the Fab 5's couture again... Carson works hard at this, and I have to give him his props, you know!
The fashions for this epi came from a French design house called A.P.C. (pronounced Ah, Pay, Say). And... actually... in these clothes, I
COULD see our guys hanging out around le Champs de Elysees, `ou le Rive Gauche, sipping wine and smoking French cigarettes... LOL!
I thought Ted's outfit was the most
FUN! LOL! It was a bit "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood" - but Ted's personality just carried it off beautifully! It was almost comic, yet terribly conservative-classy all at the same time. A perfect combination for Ted! I loved the white background (bell?) patterned shirt, rich red tie, and sweater vest. The sweater vest's black with strong red and white banded "V" neck just lit Ted's face! I liked the Red sneakers with the grey slacks too. The ensemble just added to the fun when Ted and Thom were entertaining little T.J.! I loved it! LOL!
Thom looks good in Orange, doesn't he? (Just could've done without the Christmas jacket... but this T-shirt? Cool.) I like Thom in strong color mixed with dark pieces. He looked relaxed in dark jeans and the dark slate gray jacket. ...I just... wanted to see him in something a tad more dressy this time... don't know why...
Kyan's outfit was conservative and slightly upscale summer casual. I liked the pale yellow shirt and light Khaki pants with matching cloth belt. ...It just didn't seem to match his personality. I thought, "
BINGO! YES!!! When he referred to his look as a "gay Mormon!!" LOL! Kyan's wonderful personality shown through regaurdless... and it was a nice look... (Maybe if Kyan and Thom switched looks... Hmmmmm...) I LOVED the pale blue jacket Kyan wore, though - it really DID look good on him!
Jai looked so great! I'm just relishing the long locks while we still have them to enjoy! LOL! I didn't like the shiny "baseball" styled jacket... It looked a little too much like rubber. LOL! But the gray T-shirt with bright orange stiching was great, and the cut of the whole ensemble fit him really well. Loved the jeans... loved the black boots!
I wasn't terribly crazy about the slightly puffy "down jacket" Carson wore - but I was just nuts over his pale blue slacks, "11 O'clock"-face print shirt and
SERIOUSLY in love with his glasses! I couldn't decide if they were really sunglasses or not - but he really looked great in that style of frame! I loved his flipped hair and could see the low-lights. ...Seriously stylin' Carson. Made up for last week
BIG TIME!
Spring and summer fashions on men seem to fall within a similar vein year after year... and these looks were a bit "normal" to me. I know Carson will ramp up the wattage in future episodes, though. I've seen the fan shots!
A.P.C. isn't my most favorite style house... but I enjoyed learning about them at
http://www.apc.fr - so, Kudos for scoring a new designer Carson, and ever expanding our understanding of the fashion universe!
Peace to all who pace by! --De

He was really sweet, and you could tell how much they loved each other. The hair thing was TOOOO funny... "it's a little too Something About Mary". The house looked fantastic, as usual. Hey, Thom, next time put the CDs behind glass! The henna was a stroke of genius on Jai's part. How romantic! I thought Ted was so funny! Is he getting funnier, or am I just starting to fully appreciate his wit? Didn't agree with the clothes he picked for his night out, but after I discovered his fear of button-downs, I realized it was a first step. Hopefully he can eventually lose the teeshirt.

I am still a bit jealous of the wife... she got a ride on Kyan's back! Loved the part when he was eating the baby food... what was it? It looked like prunes or some sort of blueberry mixture? Oh well, his face was priceless! I laughed out loud at Thom's ... er... um.... how should I say this.... plumber crack shot? Hilarious! And kuddos to the SG for singing to his wife. It wasn't the best musically, as Ted said... but it was straight from the heart , which is what matters most. Awe! How sweet! And I loved Ted's pink high top tennis shoes . Very chic!

June 17, 2004 - 05:51 AM
Tomasulo's highlights: (hey, did I hear someone say "who cares?")
Ted: "In your face, low carb people, in your face!"
Carson: "Can I keep him, pleeeze!"
How beautiful was Billy Yamaguchi?!?!?
Jai: The mehndi on Amy was amazing.
Amy's face while listening to Michael sing karaoke proved to me that she obviously wasn't hearing what we were hearing...that's what happens when you have love in your ears. What a great couple!
Thom: The lamp over the dining table was wonderful. The playpen room for T.J....what a great idea! I love that Thom appreciated the sacrifice Michael had made in giving up his meditation area and re-established it for him. When the guys were in the loft, I loved the look on Thom's face when Michael mentioned to T.J. that they "might have a little present in 9 months". Thom using the word "utilitarian"....apparently 6 syllable words make me hot....who knew?
Kyan's face when Carson fed him baby food.....my babies often made that exact same face!!
It has struck me again...who the hell cast these men as the Fab 5? I didn't think I'd ever fall in love again...now Thom!...plus the other 4! My brain shouts "ridiculous" but my heart sings louder. I loved my husband and he died. There were others, but they were pale substitutes not worth the effort of pretending that it would work. And here's a little reveal of my own...(again I hear "who cares?")...I have 6 tattoos:
#1 rosebud on my ankle (I was young once)
#2 blue rose between 2 cherry blossoms with the names of my
2 children (other ankle)
#3 an Indian feather on my wrist...to honor my grandmother
who was 1/2 Mohawk. She died before I was born. My family
rarely mentioned her...she was an "embarrassment". I've
never felt as close to anyone as I do to her even though
her arms never held me.
#4 a teardrop on my hand...a gift from a tattoo-artist
friend after my husband died. My daughter has the same
tattoo. (Yes, TTB & De....just like Devon)
#5 a small broken heart over my heart.....Devon, again.
#6 the kanji symbol for "crazy" on the back of my neck. I
just got this one last week....probably don't need to
explain this. Shades of Patsy Cline, but probably closer
to "Panic Beach" by Maria McKee.

No, he was run off by TickTick in November... Bah dum bum... tishhhh!Quote:
How beautiful was Billy Yamaguchi?!?!?
Stunning, absolutely stunning!Quote:
Amy's face while listening to Michael sing karaoke proved to me that she obviously wasn't hearing what we were hearing...that's what happens when you have love in your ears. What a great couple!

(Bet Ky would love your tat's too! (Yup, weak pun intended!)
Big hugs Ms. Tomasulo! Luff2U2day! Peace! --De

As much as I threaten Ms. Mephistopheles in Fur, I would NEVER declaw her! Somone once told me that it doesn't hurt them. I said, "Oh yeah? Trying having all your nails pulled off and see if it doesn't hurt you!" It even SOUNDS painful - ugh!

Hey ceeny, welcome to the boards
Yes he was skinny, wasn't he - fruit soup, mmm mm....NOT! I bet he'll bulk up nicely now that he's getting real food into his system. The problem people is that they'll listen to what the newest fad diet is, then run with it to the extreme. This "no carb" diet is getting on my last nerve with people. "I'm sorry, I can't have carbs. No, not even one gram". Idiot. Some carbs are necessary for the body but people are so phobic that they don't want to hear that. Know what made a comeback since the "no carb" thing? Gout and bad breath...I'd rather stay a little plump.

Unfortunatley I was overtired and fell asleep through this episode. Now was I dreaming?? I see Thom bent over showing a little 'cable man's crack'! Was this a dream or was this really in the show?? Thom has a beautiful crack! LOL!

The epsiode was good but not great. Once again Jay proved to be useless and we actually fast-forwarded thru both if his segments (how-t- Karaoke and the Mendhi/Henna). Thank God for TiVo!

BUT thank gawd for the MUTE button! De, sweetie, I'm relying on you to give a recap of what the guys said during the karaoke part. I could not bear it. So KUDOS to Michael...but I still can't listen to it.
**De lays her head down on the desk, quaking with laughter**
I WANT HAZARD PAY!!!
Celtic_Wench! I'm gonna sue! I can't believe I had to sit through that 400 times! NEITHER can my dogs! Sebastian sat by the picture window, head shifted to one side, looking at me like, "Mommy? Why are you torturing a cat in there?"
My VCR comes off of pause and moves forward without sound for a moment... so to be accurate - I had to keep re-winding to go over the segment over and over!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
OOOOOOoooo, Girl, You owe me BIG TIME!! Now, if I could only stop laughing long enough to type! He! He! He!
color:"blue"]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Michael: See the Pyramids along the Nile...
Jai: OH boy!
Ted: Oh, boy!

Thom: Don't quit your day job!
Kyan: This is what I love about karaoke, you don't
have to sing well...
Jai: No.
Carson: No.
Ted: No.
Thom:

Carson:

Ted: (Laughing) Yeah, he's terrible.
Michael: But remember, when a dream appears, you belong to me...
All the guys: (Accompanying Michael) You belong to me... (Jai drops down to harmonize beautifully!)
Michael: (Shouts) Bring it home now! (People applaud.) (Singing) By the ocean...
Thom: YEAH! ...oh, he's not done... YEAH! ...oh, you're still going...

Sigh... it was only a matter of time...
If you have not yet been welcomed to the forum... (Even yough I recognise your monicre from somewhere), then WELCOME!
I do hope you feel free to come post your opinion often. Yours is, however an uninformed and unpopular opinion... so instead of jumping up and down about this subject - I will simply guide you to help educate you on the subject you broached.
You obviously know how to manuever with a computer, and within this forum... so please search the three available pages for the thread called "Fab Five Fan Forum."
Page 164 of that thread has a post from someone called, "Railhardy." It is post number 5209.
Second: Find the thread Called Mark Fi. Page 2, My post, number 6131 and of the same thread - page 8, my post number 6330.
The last post is a quotation from an article where the CREATORS of the show discuss what Jai does.
Once educated, you can feel free to maintain your errant position... but you would have to prepare for an onslaught of opposing views.
We would like to have you become a part of our forum. We welcome intelligent opposing views and lively repectful debate. We also appreciate free speech (where the moderators allow.) Please feel free to aquaint yourself with the posts I referenced. (There are others where the straight guys themselves have posted to us commending Jai, but I'll leave you with these few notes to ponder.)
Peace and grace to you. --De

Carson, vous etes un genie quand choisi les vetements pour Les Cinq Fabuleux. Les habites `a A.P.C. n'etait pas un exception.
And I am a worn out gal! I CANNOT BELIEVE I spoke of the couture from the interaction, and left out the couture from the reveal!!! {ACK!}
My brain is SHOT this week!
I have to say, I LOVE the total black ensemble that Kyan was wearing! ...But I like men in black! (Didn't care much for the Birkenstocks, but Kyan was stunning in head to toe chic black.
Thom was - as I said earlier - better in couture similar to Kyan's in the apt. clothes. I loved the sleeves tjuzed up on the pale yellow shirt, and light khaki slacks.
Ted was classic and classy in the pale gray shirt - sleeves down, black trousers, and that gorgeous rose red tie tucked into the shirt face.
Jai - another sharp man in black, was wonderful with his white shirt, black medallion tie, sporty black jacket and dark gray slacks.
Carson - our King of couture was wonderful in that pale khaki blazer, gray shirt wit horizontal stripes, and bright red/orange slacks. Wow, can he wear color WELL!
Sorry to make this two posts, but as I said before... clothes are Carson's area, and I just have to give him his props for a job well done. Peace, Pets! --De
