I live in the Pacific Time zone, so it won't be on here for another 3 hours. I'll post again to dish about the show afterward. I am looking forward to it because he might be more macho to begin with and not well-off or already metrosexual like the men in the last several episodes.
Off subject, when I see Jai tag along with Ted, I think of Batman and Robin - Jai would make a cute "Boy Wonder". Ted is sophisticated and classy, kinda like a gay James Bond.

Liked this episode, everyone looked great especially Kyan. I was doing pushups at the gym tonight and all I could think of was, "I wish I was doing them next to him." Yumm! And Thom is just wonderful; his eye is amazing. I don't know what it is, but something has been missing to me lately in the shows, I still like them but it seems rushed and a little more frantic. Maybe it's me, but I hope the quality keeps up. I heard about ideas for a show like this for women that sounded interesting, but the idea about 5 straight guys making over a gay guy (mainly teaching craftsman things) seemed awful. I guess they'll float whatever they could think of and see what bites.

I can't say it enough. Let the guys go on their own. Leave the women and children out of the show until the end. Teresa practically picked all of the furniture herself. I think the show is a lot more fun when the guys pick everything out and surprise their women in the end.
AWESOME!

Did everyone see the TALENT my husband-of-a-million-wives created on that mural?! And he signed it too, lucky mugs!
All the boys really shined equally in this episode -
-the chemical peel brought out a better complexion from Ross
-the clothes Carson picked out for him were FABULOUS! He really looked great!
-Jai taking him to the dance lessons really paid off. After a few steps on the floor, he really began to get into it and I think he'll take follow up lessons.
-And Ted, sweetie that he is, had faith that Ross could pull off the souffle(sp?) because if he didn't, he would have suggested something simpler.
All in all, a great show - AND THANK GOD THE BOARDS ARE BACK! My shakes are slowly subsiding now.

I've never watched 'Queer Eye' prior to Ross's episode. Let me just say, you guys have great taste in, not only making the world a better-coiffed place, but also in picking men. Whether 'Before' or 'After', Ross is hot! Yum! I hope he's invited to the holiday reunion. Great job guys. Love the jean + jacket look too. It's an updated version of Ralph Lauren's urbane cowboy look (yes, i meant to say 'urbane') back in the 80s. Very nice!

Yeah, Ross was really sexy. Carson was right, Ross has the cutest butt. Nice broad shoulders too! They didn't do too much for him as far as his hair goes, though. I guess they thought it looked fine the way it was. Maybe they could have dyed it or something? Just to make him look different. I felt bad for Theresa though. That's harsh dissing a girl's new pair of shoes in national TV.

I'm looking for the coat that Ted was wearing in this episode when they went wine-tasting. It's black with white pinstripes, with white "backpack stripes" around the shoulders. Any ideas? Thanks!!

what was Ted thinking making Ross make a Soufflé? It seemed pretty complicated and I don't blame Ross for screwing up. But it turned out not too bad. I'm getting the recipe
All the guys looked as fab as usual. Yeah the push up thing was cute (Kyan's my fav anyway)

Wow, it was the straight guy's idea to be on the show. Ross really knew his food and wine, much to Ted's relief, probably, in contrast to that klutz Alan or the family who used "PLASTIC CUPS!!!!!!". His gal looked nice, but I didn't like the way she laughed. She was a good dancer, though. Loved Kyan's bouncing-style pushups (whatever they're actually called). As with the chin-up over the dressing room door in the last episode, he's so fit and hottttt! Thom usually looks the straightest of the bunch, but this time his hair was different (straighter and combed forward, perhaps?) and along with that yellow suit at the end (Gaultier?), he looked gayer and I loved it. Jai is showing more charisma in this show and he looked so hot dancing in the studio before Ross and his girl came in. Teach me to dance, Jai! I loved his hip tip about chivalry. Many straight guys I know of need to hear it. Speaking of the hip tips at the end, the one about yoga and meditation for the skin from Kyan is recycled, but he looks hotter than hell because of that special lighting technique. It was so funny when watching Ross make the souffle`, Carson said, "Rimming helps it rise".

What's up with all the comments about the Fab Five? How about a separate thread about the Fab Five? My god...all the posts have something about one of the Five being hot or sexy.
I am of the opinion that the men should go out solo with the Fab Five and no one else. Ross practically repeated everything his woman said when they were looking at furniture. How about keeping the show the way the last season was? One straight man and five gay men.
Let the women and family into the show at the end!

I really enjoyed the Ross episode except for one thing. Did Ross seem real uptight around the guys? I understand having 5 gay men show up at your house might be a bit much but he contacted them for crying out loud. And the part where Thom makes the comment about making out because he got a tv and Ross covers his mouth with his hand - unbelievable. Like Thom is going to plant one right on him. I, myself, would be all over Thom like deer guts on a doorknob if I was ever in that position. And I wouldn't need a tv out of the deal.
Thom worked his magic as usual. Ted was hysterical in the wine shop when he made the fruity comment. Jai was sweet with the dance lessons. There didn't seem to be much with Carson and Kyan this week. Where was Carson's famous fashion show?
Loved Thom's yellow suit!

Is it only me, or did Ross remind anyone a little bit of Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell? Maybe just the pug nose and smile...
I also agree we don't need to see the wives or families until the end, it would make the "reveal" more emotional, I think. When the room-mate, wife or girlfriend comes along right away, it kills the suspense. The exception might have been the daugher in the Jeff T. episode.
Anyway, great job as usual, guys! The results were AWESOME!

I agree. The show is missing something lately. The girlfriends/wives/kids need to STAY AWAY while their men are getting their make-better. The interactions between the Fab Five and the straight guys are the strongest points of the show.
This latest episode was very dull. Ross and his girlfriend seemed to expect the fabulous apartment and clothes. Ross even mentioned tjuzing the wine. NOT FUNNY OR FRESH, PEOPLE!!!!
In fact, it seems like that the only reason Ross volunteered for the show was for all of the freebees, because quite frankly, he was not the most compelling candidate and just seemed to go along for the shopping ride. I also felt the same way about the Stephen S. episode (they all seemed very aware of the camera and hammed up to it).
The producers need to screen for straight guys who aren't going on the show just for the freebees. That's what made the first season so amazing -- none of the guys knew what to expect and seemed truly appreciative of the Fab Fives's talents. Maybe they need to get out of New York. This is my favorite show and I'm hoping it doesn't lose it's unique flare. Come on producers, IT TAKES A VILLAGE!!!!!

This one was an improvement oer last week, but still not my favorite episode - granted, Ross's clothes looked great, but I really didn't see that much of a transformation. Having the girlfriend in on everything was rather disappointing and took away some of the fun. I both of them had seemed more appreciative, or something. Poor Thom did a great job but still seems lonely or depressed or just a bit needy, and I wish they'd given him extra props. The best part of this ep was the ending where the guys were finally allowed to get a bit catty. That was AWESOME.

hi, I'm new to the boards and QE is my favorite show. How great is Thom? His work is just "awesome!"

Not a bad episode, but certainly not the greatest. A great job by the guys, but not the most compelling personality chosen in Ross--in my opinion.
Having said that, let me be the first to comment on a woman from an episode in this forum...

Alright I need to vent abit here. In response to this transformation of Ross - what transformation?
Although I liked the show that is because of the Fab 5 - they always make me laugh - and not because of the incredible changes in Ross because there weren't any. The episode was Ross and his girlfriend being followed by a camera crew as they went on a big shopping spree and got all their goodies.
Kyan gave him all these skin care products which he blew off - didn't use one of them.
I have to give snaps to Jai for the dance lessons. I'm sure it was abit uneasy for Ross to go out on an empty dance floor so I'll give him that.
And being a pharmaceutical manager I'm sure Ross already had a closet full of business suits, etc. And thanks to Carson he has more.
Ted taking him to the wine shop was a great idea however I can't imagine this guy picking out dessert wines ever again.
And Thom, good grief, redecorates each room to perfection in an apartment that was fine to begin with. All Ross needed to do was to pick up after himself. And he also gets a flat screen tv and a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork from Thom!
Anyone remember last season an episode with a divorced father of two living in an apartment? I apologize I can't remember his name. Now he was someone who needed some help. Each of the Fab 5 did something great for him and he honestly seemed to appreciate everything the guys did for him and his kids. These are the shows I think everyone wants to see.
Phew....I feel better now.

What was the song being used during Ross' getting ready segment? Title? Artist?
I recognized it as an old song but the little [expletive deleted] (Clark) inside me couldn't recall who di it or the name. Anyone?
I'm aware of the CD release on 10 February. However this song has been previously released - I couldn't find any info/credits on the Bravo site...

Ross said that his girlfriend's favorite was souffle - and he didn't screw it up, he nailed it almost perfectly to the shock of many. I'm another one looking for that darn song at the end of this ep. Credits flashed by too fast at the end but I think they were on there. I would try looking it up online from the lyrics, but as soon as the show was over the song once again became one of those "Oh yeah, there's this song I like but now I can't remember how it goes. At all. You know. That song."
If anyone can even understand / remember lyrics from it, that might help me find it....
I need a music fix until the soundtrack(s) start coming out. Does anyone know what Fischerspooner song is going on there?

I am pounding (cough) my keyboard. I want to enter the exclusive realms of the "well-coiffed." I am "still-buying retail" and that is soooo cheap!.
That was a teensy bit cruel of Ted to get the guy to make a souffle! When they work - souffles are a stunning thing to bring to the table and when they go floppo - well! Red faces, tears, scraping flung dud-souffle off the ceiling.
Nah! If a dish goes wrong, I just laugh and make the best of it.

I am soooooo glad other people were disappointed in this episode. I think they chose this guy mainly because he was a marine.
I am so sick of guys blowing off Kyan's suggestions... I hope they get old and ugly SOON!
And what a wuss this guy was! My other half said he would kiss ALL FIVE for real if HE got a freakin' flat screen TV out of it!
And I'm with you guys... keep the women out of it. That teen daughter of the taxidermist was a great exception. She was one fun, well-rounded cool kid.
I can't wait for the 'reunion' episode, although I'm gearing up for some big disappointments with all the guys. If just ONE stuck with it, I'll be really happy for the Fab 5. I think the most likely candidate is the single dad.
The thing I don't like is that Jai and Ted really have a hard time bringing their talents to the show. They are both really good at what they do, but we don't get to see it like with Carson, Thom and Kyan. It's always been the weak area in the show. Maybe they need a 90 minute show to adequately cover all Five Fab dudes.
I'm glad I was too busy with real life to know the board was down!

All I have to say is, "Awesome." LOL! I really did like this episode but the whole "Music Video/Reunion" teaser kinda overshadowed the essence of the Ross episode. I am way excited to see both the video and the reunion among guests. I can't wait.
But, I don't know why everyone is picking on the "girlfriend." I thought she was sweet. Although I didn't care for her outfit and shoes when they went out, I thought she was pretty classy during the rest of the show.
Not to say that I don't agree with the whole "leaving the girlfriend/wife/friend" thing until the end.
Okay this is bothering me too... how come whenever the question is asked "What's her favourite [food]?" The answer is always something outrageous... like souffle or imported dark chocolate, or salmon. What if the answer was something like a six pack and a bag of doritos?

I was worried but Ross said his girlfriend loves souffle so he really wanted to make it for her. That is a dish that I plan to try to make one day soon - maybe for xmas...I am truly curious about the whole process. Cat might beat me too it though - he had the recipe down packed when I was still crying about how much sugar does it take.
